GCCW WRESTLING #1
Mobile, AL - June 30, 2012
GCCW OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
1. Tyler Black PIN Necro Butcher. Black rocked the house early on, but the Butcher tossed him out of the ring for a ruthless beating. However, Black was still able to come back and finish Necro off with his amazing PHEONIX SPLASH!
2. Johnny Saint DQ Ox Baker. Saint and Ox went back in forth in a match where nobody could get the upper hand. However, Baker attacked Saint with his whip outside the ring and was immediately disqualified.
3. Finlay PIN David Taylor. Finlay was the replacement for 1-2-3 Kid who no-showed. After a great deal of brawling outside the ring, Finlay beat Taylor fairly easy with the CELTIC CROSS.
4. Hiroshi Tanahashi PIN Bobby Shane. Tanahashi got the crowd alive with his vast array of wrestling moves. "The King of Wrestling" ended up being the "High Flying Star's Jester" when Tanahashi finished him with his HIGH FLY FLOW!
5. British Bulldog DQ Mark Henry. The match was over as soon as it started. Henry took the fight outside the ring and refused to stop ramming Bulldog's head into the guardrail. Henry didn't seem to care that he was disqualified.
6. Dean Malenko SUBMISSION Eddie Gilbert. "The Man of 1,000 Holds" didn't play around with Gilbert at all. Malenko simply worked him over and into the TEXAS CLOVERLEAF for the victory.
7. Bryan Danielson PIN Nigel McGuinness. Danielson and McGuinness worked a strong match. It looked like either one could win, but Danielson came out on top after a tope rope hurricanrana.
8. Dan Severn PIN Blue Demon. "The Beast" pulverized the legendary luchador in and out of the ring. Blue Demon simply couldn't get anything going against the mixed-martial-arts legend. In the end, Severn pinned a bloody Blue Demon after a fireman's carry slam.
