-Bobo Brazil and The Sheik have been signed to wrestle in the featured bout when the ITLW comes to Detroit, Michigan for night seven, continuing one of the most violent and long-running feuds in that city's history.
Night two Dallas, TX
block 1 bouts:
Handsome Harley Race and Pretty Boy Larry Hennig defeated the team of SD Jones and Koko B. Ware when Race pinned Koko. B. Ware and Jones would not quit, coming back from the verge of defeat on several occassions and giving their favored opponent's some anxious moments. In the end, Hennig hit Koko with a big elbow drop, then tagged out to Race to finish the job with a piledriver.
Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase beat The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff when Williams pinned Volkoff after the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE. Sheik and Volkoff dominated Williams early, and it appeared to be over when Sheik put on the CAMEL CLUTCH. Timely interference by DiBiase saved the bout, and Williams managed to mount some offense and tag DiBiase. As Williams recoverd on the outside, DiBiase held his own and then some against the foreign menace. The bout settled into a back-and-forth struggle finally ending after a 4-man brawl in the ring led to the STAMPEDE and the victory.

A nice comeback led to the tag and Inoki came in like a house of fire, finally polishing off Butcher with the Enzuigiri.

ITLW NEWS:
-ITLW officials have found a replacement team to take over for the now-defunct duo of Danny Doring and Steve Corino. The New Age Outlaws were announced at a press conference earlier today. Despite taking over one match down (as it was announced that the Bees victory over Doring and Corino would stand against the team taking their place), the Outlaws were confident that they could come back and win the tournament, showing the world why they are one of the greatest championship teams in wrestling history.
-In related news, Corino and Doring have issued challenges back and forth to one another and the ITLW has signed the match between the two to take place when the tournament heads to Philadelphia. The other featured contest on that stop will be Sabu versus Justin Credible as they square off in an "extreme rules match".
-Inside sources are saying that Road Warrior Hawk suffered an undisclosed ankle injury in his bout with the Dream Team on night one of the tournament when he fell from the top rope to the floor at the end of the match. If this is correct, and how it will effect him when the Road Warriors face The Killer Bees on night number three of the tournament, remains to be seen.
Scheduled lineup for night three in Atlanta, GA:
Bob and Brad Armstrong v. Red Bastien and Red Lyons Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens v. The Kangaroos
Dream Team v. The New Age Outlaws The Road Warriors v. The Killer Bees
Featured bout: 15 man battle royal featuring:Diamond Dallas Page, Konnan, Buff Bagwell, Larry Zbyszko, Cowboy Bob Orton, Cousin Luke, Ox Baker, Don Leo Jonathan, Killer Kowalski, Yukon Eric, Johnny Valentine, Masked Superstar, The Crusher, and more!

Night Three Atlanta, GA
The Armstrongs beat The Flying Redheads. Lots of quick offense and tagging in and out from both teams. The end came when Bob tagged in Brad, who put away Lyons with the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP after about fifteen minutes of action.
Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens defeated The Kangaroos via pinfall. An amazing display of tenacity by Bockwinkel made the difference. He overcame the ever-present interference of Wild Red Berry, double teaming by the 'Roos, and the BOOMERANG for a near fall. Finally, Nick came back to put away Costello when Al missed a charge at the turnbuckle and Nick used a school boy rollup for the win.
The New Age Outlaws made an impressive statement with an easy win over The Dream Team. The Road Dogg and Mr. Gunn made it look easy, using all of their signature moves and ending it when Billy Gunn pinned Brutus with a Cobra Clutch Slam in under five minutes.
Cowboy Bob Orton won a 15-man battle royal, last eliminating Angelo Mosca. order of elimination: 1.Crusher by the combined effort of Konnan and Bagwell 2.Masked Superstar by Don Leo Jonathan 3.Cousin Luke by Pepper Gomez 4.Yukon Eric by Mosca 5.Gomez by Mosca 6.Killer Kowalski by Orton 7.Konnan by Johnny Valentine 8.Bagwell by Mosca 9.Leo Jonathan by Orton 10.Ox Baker by Mosca 11.Larry Zbyszko by DDP 12.DDP by Valentine 13.Valentine by Mosca 14.Mosca by Orton
notes:Mosca was a monster, eliminating men left and right. Valentine and Orton Jr. worked as a team throughout and cornered Mosca at the end. Angelo managed to fend off and eliminate Valentine, but Orton Jr. caught him from behind and dumped him over the top to take the win.
The Road Warriors defeated the Killer Bees. The Bees were at the top of their game, and used a hit-and-run strategy to keep Hawk and Animal off-balance during most of the match. Animal worked in the ring for his team for the bulk of the bout, tagging in Hawk for short bursts of offense. Hawk did get caught in the ring at one point and nearly was pinned by a sunset flip by Blair. He managed to fight back and the end came when The Warriors used the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Brunzell to take the pinfall and the victory.

Night four Charlotte, NC
Ted DiBiase and Steve Williams beat Koko B. Ware and SD Jones Jones and B.Ware fought hard again, but they were no match for Williams and DiBiase. IN the end, Dr.Death used the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to get the pin on Jones.
After the match, Oliver Humperdink came out and introduced his due, Samu and Alofa, The Samoans. He insulted Jones and B.Ware and asked why the ITLW committee came to them instead of The Samoans. He said that maybe the entire league was afraid of the Samoans, and that maybe they were just pandering to a "certain audiance" by letting Jones and B. Ware into the tournament. At that point, Jones and Koko had heard enough and a brawl broke out between the two teams. League officials and building security had to rush the ring and break up the fight.
Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff defeated Larry Hennig and Harley Race. Race and Hennig did not respect Mr. Volkoff's singing of the Soviet National Anthem and attacked during his performance. Being in the unusual position of drawing the cheers of the crowd, Hennig took over on Volkoff at the outset. The action went back and forth between the two teams for some time. Finally, the foreign menace trapped Race in the ring and double teamed him without mercy. The match ended with a loaded boot by Sheik, followed by a sidewinder suplex for the win as Volkoff fought with Hennig.
The Midnight Express beat The Vachons. The Vachons started quick, but the Express ended it just as quickly. Butcher had Condrey in the Hangman after only two minutes of action, but Cornette jumped onto the apron. Butcher went over and grabbed Cornette, who dropped his tennis racket in the ring. Condrey used it to first blast Mad Dog. Then Butcher turned around to see what happened and, as the ref fought to get Cornette off of the ring apron, Condrey swung the tennis racket hard and knocked Butcher out. The ref turned around and counted the pin.
FEATURED MATCH World Junior Heavyweight Championship
Jushin Liger defeated Danny Hodge with the FISHERMAN'S BUSTER to win the title. The bout started out with a "feeling out" process of holds and counters, then Hodge established dominance. Liger fought back and got a near-fall with a FISHERMAN'S BUSTER. Hodge came back and grounded the challenger. The action went on for another 12 minutes with each looking to be close to victory on several occassions. Finally, Liger fought out of a boston crab, reversed a backbreaker attempt, and came back with a rolling koppa kick followed by a second FISHERMAN'S BUSTER to win the title.
Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki beat the Valiant Brothers. Johnny and Jimmy used illeagal tactics to dominate Inoki early, but he came back and tagged out to Baba.Baba looked strong until Johnny dropped a knee to his back as he was covering Jimmy for a pin. The Valiants nearly got the win at that point, but Baba and Inoki rallied and the end came when Baba pinned Johnny with a big boot.

Great matches and am looking forward to see who comes out on top. Baba and Inoki are going to be a tough squad to beat. I would like to see them in the finals versus Williams and Dibiase.
Interestingly, I recently had a match between Baba and Williams that went long on tokens and time! Real classic.

Night five Chicago, IL
The Valiant Brothers beat The Vachons. Butcher got caught in the ring and double teamed, until finally making the tag to Mad Dog. Mad Dog was on the verge of victory, but the Valiants shut him down and put him away with the TOP ROPE ELBOW.
Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff beat SD Jones and Koko B. Ware. Jones and Koko's hard luck continued,as Nikolai pinned Koko with the BACKBREAKER DROP to end the match.
After the match, Captain Lou Albano came to the ring to talk to Jones and Koko and led them away as they listened to his words of wisdom.
The Armstrongs defeated Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens. The Armstrongs scored a huge victory, proving they are for real in the tournament by beating the previous front-runners in their block. The end came when Brad tagged out to Bullet Bob, who put out Stevens with a SLEEPER.
The Kangaroos defeated The Flying Redheads. The redheads again put forth 100-percent effort, but it was not enough as Costello put away Bastien with his leglock submission.
The Killer Bees beat The Dream Team. The Bees started quick on Brutus, but The Dream Team made a comeback. Masked Confusion on Valentine got things turned around for the Bees, and Blair got the pin for his team.
Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase beat Larry Hennig and Harley Race. Race and Hennig were in charge early, but a quick turnaround and elbow drop by Williams on Hennig scored the pin out of nowhere for the sudden match ending.
Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba beat the Midnight Express. Interference by Cornette could not overcome the legendary duo, as the end came when Inoki pinned Condrey with an ENZUIGIRI.
Tiger Mask, Jimmy Snuka, and Mil Mascaras beat The Heavenly Trio of Lane, Pritchard, and Candido to become world six-man tag team champions. Tiger Mask scored the victory for his team in a great trios bout when he pinned Candido with a strong back suplex.
The New Age Outlaws won by disqualification over the Road Warriors. The most competitive match of the tournament so far ended on a down-note when tempers flared and a brawl broke out on the arena floor. In the melee, Animal shoved the referee out of the way as he tried to get between Animal and Road Dogg, causing the disqualification.

mirror standings in both blocks, with one unbeaten and two winless teams in each.
In ITLW News:
-Captain Lou Albano has decided to take SD Jones and Koko B. Ware under his wing. The decision comes on the heels of the attack by The Samoans and Humperdink, who Albano calls a "second-rate Captain Lou leading a second-rate version of the Wild Samoans". Lou took the original Samoans, Afa and Sika, to several tag team championships and will be the "guiding light" of Jones and B. Ware in their brewing feud with the Samoans.
-Jim Cornette is in a rage over his teams poor performances in Chicago. He is already trying to schedule a six-man tag team rematch for his "Heavenly Trio" and has vowed to make sure Baba and Inoki don't win the tag league tournament. Whether he was just blowing off steam, or if he actually has some sort of plan for revenge, remains to be seen.

Night 6 St. Louis, MO
SD Jones pinned Samoan Alofa. Jones got on a roll and went for a cover, but Humperdink was on the apron distracting the ref. Albano came over and pulled Humperdink down, allowing SD to head to the top rope and score a flying cross body for the pin.
block two tournament bouts:
The Valiants defeated The Killer Bees. The match never even really got off the ground. Blair started with Jimmy and looked good until Jimmy tagged in Johnny. Johnny cut off Blair and the Valiants double-teamed him mercilessly before Jimmy scored the pin with a foreign object shot as Johnny made sure Brunzell could not get involved.
Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki beat The Dream Team by disqualification. Inoki and Valentine started and traded some nice wrestling holds and reversals. Then Greg tagged in Brutus, who caught Inoki with a hanging suplex before grabbing him in a side headlock. Inoki easily reversed it and the beatdown began. Brutus was worn down by Baba and Inoki and on the verge of being pinned by the NECKBREAKER DROP when Greg came in and smashed Baba over the head with the timekeeper's bell. The referee, of course, had no choice but to disqulify the Dream Team.
As The Dream Team left the ringside area, they were met by Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies, who were heading to the ring for their match. Cornette smiled and shook Greg's hand, appearing to slip him an envelope during the exchange.
The Heavenly Bodies beat Tiger Mask and Jimmy Snuka. The action was fast and furious, with Mask wowing the crowd with his acrobatics and Snuka displaying his uncanny agility. The end came when Prichard rolled out of the ring and Snuka gave chase. Cornette got between Snuka and Dr. Tom, giving Prichard a chance to attack. Snuka was then left vulnerable to a double team finish by The Bodies, giving them the win.
block one bouts:
Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff beat the Armstrongs. A nice back-and-forth contest that ended at about the eight minute mark when Sheik locked in the CAMEL CLUTCH on Brad for the win.
A special in-ring ceremony to present Bobo Brazil with the area's most popular wrestler of the year award was interrupted by Abdul Farouk. Farouk taunted Bobo and promised that the Sheik would burn him when they met in Detroit. He said the noble Sheik is a legend and Bobo is just a commoner who should bow at his feet. Finally, Farouk slapped Bobo and Brazil grabbed him by the collar. Bobo was ready to hit Farouk when The Sheik ran out from the side entrance of the building, through the crowd, and attacked Bobo from behind. He brutally beat Bobo with a piece of a table leg, bloodying him in the process. Abdul Farouk led Sheik away as security personnel closed in on the ring.
Harley Race and Larry Hennig beat Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens. Race took a horrible beating early in the bout, and tagged to Hennig, who had to carry most of the match for his team alone due to Race's condition. Stevens and Bockinkel took advantage and tagged in and out, keeping Hennig off balance. Hennig finally scored with the AXE on Bock, but Stevens interferred. Hennig cleared Stevens out and tagged Race, who finished it with a PILEDRIVER in front of his home territory crowd.
King Kong(Bruiser)Brody beat King Kong Bundy in a no disqulification death match. King Kong Brody (as he is known in the St. Louis territory) and Bundy tore into each other at the opening bell. Bundy floored Brody and went outside to grab a chair. He slid it into the ring, but Brody grabbed it and used it on him. Brody went for another swing of the chair, but Bundy kicked him, brabbed the chair, and used it on Brody. Both men were bleeding from the forehead at this point and the brawl went all over the ringside area. At one point BUndy set Brody up in front of the cornerpost outside of the ring and went for an AVALANCHE on the floor. Brody moved and Bundy hit hard. Brody stomped around the ringside area, tossing chairs into the ring from all sides. He returned to the ring, blasted Bundy with several, then put one on top of the fallen Bundy's head before delivering the JUMPING KNEE to get the pin.
