This overall really turned out to be one of my personal favorite PPVs for my fed:
No Way Out Presented jointly by Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Smackdown (formerly NWA-NITRO)brand. Year 1, Month 12 (February), Week 4
Dark Match: Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) defeated the Armstrongs when Sandman got away with hitting "Bullet" Bob Armstrong with his SINGAPORE CANE for the pinfall victory.
Match #1: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane) defeated the Valentines 2-0 in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls Match to win the US Tag Team Championship.
Match #2: Richard Hutton defeated Ted DiBiase and Dan Severn in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match for Wrestlemania.
-note: Hutton won this match between 3 fan favorites by surprisingly grabbing the ropes for extra leverage as he forced Severn to submit to his ABDOMINAL STRETCH. After being awarded the victory, Hutton proceeded to smash a steel chair repeatedly against the heads of DiBiase and Severn and then announced that he now wants to be called "Dirty Dick" Hutton.
Match #3: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Rick Rude and Bob Orton Sr in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying match for Wrestlemania. by pinning Orton Sr.
Match #4: Bruiser Brody pinned his former tag team partner Steve "Dr. Death" Williams.
Match #5: Frank Gotch (accompanied by RAW's Antonino Rocca) defeated Ivan Koloff by DQ to retain the United States Championship.
-notes: Koloff was DQd when he tried to hit Rocca, his enemy since what happened in last month's Royal Rumble, but instead hit the referee instead. Afterward, Koloff challenged Rocca to an inter-promotional match at Wrestlemania.
Match #6: Harley Race defeated George Hackenschmidt note: Race, who already secured a title shot at the MLW Championship at Wrestlemania by winning the Royal Rumble last month, was fighting his first PPV against one of his former Four Horsemen teammates.
Match #7: Fabulous Kangaroos defeated the Road Warriors 2-0 in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls Match to retain the World Tag Team Championship in the first-ever meeting in Major League Wrestling (MLW) between these two tag teams.
Match #8: Buddy Rogers defeated Giant Baba (seconded by Antonio Inoki) in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match to retain the MLW Championship.
-notes: This was the first-ever barbed wire steel cage match in Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) history. Baba had Rogers in serious trouble until Race interfered by knocking out Inoki to enter the cage and then, to the surprise of everyone, attacking Baba instead of his enemy Rogers which allowed Rogers to get the victory. But afterward, Race said he only helped out Rogers because he wants it to be Rogers who he faces in the main event at Wrestlemania for the MLW Championship.
The next results to be posted on this history thread will be the results from last year's Wrestlemania PPV presented jointly by MLW's RAW and Smackdown brands.
