All-Pacific Wrestling introduces three new championships:
All-Pacific Heavyweight Championship (230 pounds and above) All-Pacific Tag-Team Championship All-Pacific Mid-Heavyweight Championship (230 pounds or 104KG maximum weight)
The All-Pacific Title Wave Tour will feature the tag-team tournament where ten teams are divided into two blocks of five teams each. The blocks will feature round robin matches with the block winners facing for the All Pacific Tag-Team Championship. Two points are awarded for pinfall, submission or COR victories. One points are awarded for DQ wins or a draw. Zero points awarded for a loss of any type. Also featured on the title wave tour is an 8-man elimination tournament for the All Pacific Mid-Heavyweight Championship. All Pacific officials invited several light heavyweights from across the globe.
Quarterfinal Matches include for the Mid-Heavyweight Title: North American Junior Champion Danny Hodge versus Bill Dundee All-Asiatic LHW Champion Tiger Mask versus Atlantic States Lt. Hwy Champion Mike Quackenbush Euro Champion Johnny Saint versus Adrian Street Southern States Lt-Hvyweight Champion Bobby Shane versus Jushin Liger
Block A of the All-Pacific Tag-Team Tournament Mil Mascaras and Rikidozan (Asiatic Champion) Giant Baba and Tiger Mask Antonio Inoki and Jushin Liger Destroyer and Fred Blassie (American Champion) Dick Hutton and Danny Hodge
Block B of the All-Pacific Tag-Team Tournament Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens (former North American Tag-Team Champions) Steve Williams and Terry Gordy (former Pacific Tag-Team Champions) Sabu and Rob Van Dam (former Atlantic States Tag-Team Champions) Masked Superstar and Mr. Saito Finlay and Dave Taylor (UK representatives)
All Pacific will hold the Title Wave tour in Japan while future tours will include Hawaii and California.

Title Wave Night One at Toyko Korakuen Hall Block A Mil Mascaras and Rikidozan [2] over Hutton and Hodge [0] with Mascaras Indian Death Lock over Hutton Freddie Blassie and Destroyer [2] over Giant Baba and Tiger Mask [0]. Blassie SOUTHERN NECKBREAKER on Giant Baba.
Block B Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens [2] over Finlay and Dave Taylor [0]. Bockwinkel uses a gut wrench to a FIGURE 4 on Finlay to earn two points Steve Williams and Terry Gordy [2] over Masked Superstar and Mr. Saito [0]. All-Pacific Tag Team Championship Finals: Mil Mascaras and Rikidozan def. Rob Van Dam and Sabu (with Bill Alfonso) to win the titles! While RVD and Mascaras did enter Sabu and Rikidozan logged most of the ring time and each took the brunt of punishment from the other team. Rikidozan outlasted Sabu and caught him in HIPLOCK to win the titles!

Title Wave tour is over but Budokan Hall is the next stop for All-Pacific. Tokyo hosts the crowning of the first All-Pacific Heavyweight Champion is crowned in a Unification Match as All-Asiatic Champion and All-Pacific Tag-Title Co-Holder Rikidozan meets American Champion Freddie Blassie in a Best of 3 falls contest. Rikidozan and Blassie are also slated to meet again later in the evening as Rikidozan defends his APW Tag-Title with Mil Mascaras against Blassie and The Destroyer in a Block A rematch. This time it is "To a Finish" with NO-DQ! The tag team title match is scheduled for the last match of the evening.
APW Mid Hwt. Champion Jushin Liger defends his newly won belt against Tiger Mask.
Lou Thesz faces Dick Hutton and Danny Hodge meets Bill Dundee in two top singles matches. A bonus six-man encounter is also in the lineup as Giant Baba, Steve Williams and Terry Gordy face the squad of Antonio Inoki, Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Johnny Saint and Adrian Street are signed for a standby match if time permits.
