Most everyone in Legends has probably wrestled either face or heel once in their career. There are a few exceptions, one of the most notable is Mil Mascaras (who I think only wrestled heel once in Memphis (of all places!!) in a stretcher match, teaming with Austin Idol to take on Jackie Fargo and Jerry Lawler. In fact, Mascaras did the stretcher job!)
Just curious, has anyone done any angles in their fed, basically making a career heel face or a career face heel?
I have 2 territories, Mid Atlantic and Central States with the LWF Champ defending in both places. Mascaras is a mainstay in the Central States area, but won the title. The champ was scheduled to defend against a challenger in the Mid Atlantic area, so Mascaras took the booking to defend against Johnny Valentine.
Valentine was always over in the Mid Atlantic area, even as a heel. If you know the past, the IWA tried to run cards in the Mid Atlantic area with Mascaras being billed their World Champ.
Mascaras came in to defend the LWF title, but the fans, who are very knowledgeable, immediately turned on Mascaras, making Valentine the face and really turning him face in the Mid Atlantic area
Mascaras was shocked at the fans, with his prima dona attitude, and couldn't believe they were booing him. The fans knew their history though and cheered for the Mid Atlantic mainstay and jeered the career babyface

All I can say is, I determine my wrestlers as heels or faces on what I remember of them. If I don't remember them, I go by what the handbook says. But once I make my decision, I basically stick to it, unless, in a future set, a foe of theirs turns them.

For the most part I try to keep a wrestler a face or heel depending on what they spent most of their career as. I will alter that as needed in my 5 NWA regions. For example, Race is a major face in NWA-Mid Atlantic but has done time as a heel. Credible and Candido have been a face tag team for me in NWA-World Class. I do have a few tweeners, but for the most part once a face/heel probably going to always stay a face or heel.

I do whatever feels right for the storyline.
Koko B. Ware and The Missing Link wound up in a feud with The Midnight Express and Ware was getting frustrated and Link's constant injuries and losses, so he snapped and turned on Link in a brutal assault.
Don Leo Jonathan has never been anything but a face for me.
Bruiser Brody has went from face to tweener, but I doubt I ever make him a heel.
It's all dictated by the flow of the fed and the storylines...if I find a good reason for King Kong Bundy to go face, by golly he'll be cheered for it...

My first face to heel move with my new Top Rope Wrestling was Brad Armstrong who attacked Jushin Liger, DDP and B.Brian Blair and this was his turn from Face to Heel and he remains that way but has backed off just a bit...
I have another change coming to a wrestler, I'm doing a old school WWF style promo of this person coming into Top Rope, so stay tune to that...

When I play LOW I only use the official cards but when it comes to face/heel I start them with what I remember them as or what the booklet says but I'm not so rigid as to where they will end up. Even if someone has been a heel or face for most of their career, if it fits a storyline or angle I'll turn them.

I do the same as Tommy as far as I set out with an intital idea of who is face or heel in my feds but that changes as the story or matches take place and how the dice feel about it. It is all in how the match goes and what becomes of it in the end when I come up with the results.
But then again some guys are heels in one place and faces in another so it all depends on where they are in any given fed. For example in my Maple Leaf Fed: Brody is considered a vicious heel but in Japan he is a mega baby face.

I agree it is always tough deciding who is face and heel if you don't have a set plan. Some guys are just that. Example:
Gorgeous George: Usually a must have Heel Mountie: Again A Heel Character Red Bastein: Hard to argue not a face

Although Chad Olson doesn't play often, he did an angle turning Bastien into "Komrade Red" in his AWA fed.
He's a rebel, that Chad.

I'm thinking of turning Ed "Strangler" Lewis face sometime in the future in my fed.
