lucifer - Thanks for tuning in! I'm glad you like what you're visualizing! Pariah , cruefan68 - I was sure Dijak would win the TV title but Whitmer made the dramatic comeback. ANX winning the gold was cool but the matches with reDRagon have been too good to stop now! I think I would have preferred Sabin retain the title but Cole winning really helps guide where I take the Affluence story from here. The power in the group has shifted and a shakeup is inevitable. And it will include Matt Taven. As for the Briscoes and their challenge, read my response to bookerbill below. bookerbill - You asked a while back about how I was booking the Who's the Better Briscoe Challenge and, with it's conclusion, I can reveal what my process was and how it did and did not work. Originally, I just intended it as a fun undercard program for Jay and Mark as I wanted to let them cool off a little. I was just going to book them against some tough opponents and see how things panned out. When you guys showed more interest in it, I looked for something that could be a payoff. The plan was going to be that they challenge each other up the ratings with the final challenge for each being against the World and TV champions at Death Before Dishonor. Seeing as how they would have beat all of the other contenders, Nigel McGuinness would have every reason to make them title matches. In this way, Dem Boys would have outsmarted guys like Truth Martini or Christopher Daniels to get to the top. Well, as you know, the dice don't care about your plans. The Briscoes under-performed in the home stretch. I hoped at least one of them would win out but they both dropped the big matches. The storyline was blown at that point and I had to shift gears and try to salvage the conclusion of the challenge. Reuniting them and putting them back into the tag team pool was the best I could come up with on such short notice. Not my best. LOL. A similar thing happened in my planned push for Moose. He was supposed to work his way into contender-ship and put him at odds with Jay Lethal & Affluence. Well, he stopped winning and then Chris Sabin won the title and the whole thing was dead in the water. So, for anyone who noticed, that is why the Moose/Affluence feud tease never panned out. Thanks for reading and commenting everyone. Another quick break to check in on my other indy feds, then I'll be back here for more ROH action!

Thank you for that peek behind the curtain, aceldamas... It's always fun to find out what kind of impact the dice are having in the feds of other promoters and how it manifests itself in future booking choices... Even though the Moose angle turned out to be a bust, I thoroughly enjoyed how 'Who's the Better Briscoe' played out... Kinda fortunate they defeated the Bucks at DBD - Otherwise, the payoff would have felt completely different... Nice work!

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 25 Affluence, consisting of new ROH World Champion Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian, came out at the opening of the show and joined ROH on-air personalities Stokely Hathaway and Veda Scott in the ring. Veda stood to the side, looking troubled and not participating. Cole was his usual smug self, taking the mic from Hathaway and dismissing him. “Beat it Stokely. We don’t need Nigel McGuinness’ lackeys hogging our spotlight.” Hathaway started to protest but retreated when Kaz drew his fist back, threatening violence. “And speaking of Nigel McGuinness: Hey Nigel, look who has the ROH World Championship,” Cole gloated, admiring the title belt around his waist. Daniels and Kaz clapped their hands but Jay Lethal just stood there with a dour expression. “That’s right, all the power is back in the hands of Affluence. And I just bet that burns you up, doesn’t it Nigel? That’s probably why you scheduled me and a partner to face War Machine in the main event tonight, hoping we take some lumps. Well, that’s fine. We’ll show you that Affluence is the force to be reckoned with in Ring of Honor.”Cole turned the mic over to the “Ring General”, Christopher Daniels. “Adam, I’m sure you and Jay will have no trouble here tonight against…”Cole interrupted Daniels and took the mic back. “Let me stop you right there, Chris. Jay, no offense, but I’m gonna team with another partner tonight.” Daniels and Kaz brightened up, pointing at each other, wondering which of them it would be. “That being said, I introduce to you the newest member of Affluence - Matt Taven!”Daniels did a double take and Taven made his entrance. Daniels was beside himself. It was obvious Cole had not consulted him about Taven’s recruitment. Matt hugged Cole and offered a hand to Kaz who shook it, unsure. Taven approached Lethal who glared at him, aborting the greeting. Matt turned to Daniels and extended his hand with a grin. Daniels shook his head, grabbing the mic back from Cole. “Oh, no. Uh, uh. No way is this guy joining Affluence.” Cole looked perturbed and Taven feigned hurt feelings. “I see what’s going on here. It’s the oldest trick in the book. Don’t fall for it Adam.”“What in the hell are you talking about?” Cole replied. “He’s one of Martini’s guys. This is Truth trying to mess with us. He’s trying to make me look like a fool again.”“Will you get ahold of yourself.” Cole was showing impatience. “You really let him get into your head, didn’t you. Hey, we beat him. This right here proves it.” Cole patted the ROH belt. “But…” Daniels stammered. “Enough. Taven’s on the team. Because I say so. I’m the champ and we’re going to start doing things my way. We already got rid of one big liability, I don’t need any more.”Cole clapped Taven on the shoulder and they made to leave. Kaz tried consoling Daniels and they left as well. Lethal lingered a bit then trailed behind the rest of his teammates. Michael Elgin def. Silas Young by pin It took Silas a while to gain any ground as it looked like Elgin was going to pound him into oblivion. But just as Young looked to get on a roll, Big Mike caught him with a surprise sunset flip for the pin. The participants for the next match were in the ring and Donovan Djiak’s manager Truth Martini had some words for ROH World Television Champion BJ Whitmer. He claimed BJ was lucky to win the TV title and even luckier to retain against Dijak at Death Before Dishonor after Whitmer got beat to within an inch of his life Truth proposed, that since they were in Las Vegas for these ROH Television tapings, maybe BJ had enough courage to keep his streak going and put the TV title on the line for their rematch. With the backing of the crowd, Whitmer accepted. Martini laughed and said that BJ’s luck was about to run out. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPDonovan Dijak w/Truth Martini def. BJ Whitmer(c) by pin Both men came out slugging, ignoring the Code of Honor. BJ got the upperhand and got a near fall after an amazing superplex on the 6’8” Dijak. The challenger bailed out of the ring and regrouped with his manager. Whatever strategy they discussed didn’t work because Dijak was thrown to the mat with an impressive Wrist Clutch Exploder. Only Donovan’s length saved him as he easily got his leg onto the bottom rope. Dijak turned things around and started pounding BJ, using his size to his advantage. It was starting to look like a replay of their Death Before Dishonor match but Whitmer was quick to turn the tide and get Dijak into another pinning predicament which spurred Martini to distract the ref. The match turned into a war with the ref letting them fight. Dijak took multiple chair shots from the champion while BJ survived Feast You Eyes three times. On the fourth try, Feast Your Eyes KOed Whitmer and Dijak became the new ROH World Television Champion. After being handed the belt, Dijak looked like he was going to beat the defenseless Whitmer with it. Truth intervened and they laughed over BJ’s prone form. ROH Update with Stokely Hathaway“Ring of Honor’s next pay-per-view event, All Star Extravaganza VIII, comes to you from Lowell, MA. And I have a huge announcement for that night, ROH fans. The battles taking place for the ROH World Tag Team Championship between reDRagon and the new champions ANX have been leading up to this. In three weeks, these two teams will meet in Ladder War 6! Long regarded as one of ROH’s most popular and most dangerous matches, Ladder War will leave no doubt as to who is the best tag team in Ring of Honor!” Adam Cole & Matt Taven def. War Machine by DQ Cole, the new ROH World Champion, started out against Hanson. When things wouldn’t go his way, he tagged in the newest member of Affluence. Taven had better luck against Warbeard, getting a two count after a superkick to the back of the head. Cole wanted the tag back in and they combined for a Hail Mary piledriver made famous by Taven and his Kingdom partner Michael Bennett. Hanson was hurt and Raymond Rowe tried to make the save. The ref blocked him but Rowe’s concern for his partner caused him to act rashly and hurl the referee through the ropes and down to the floor. Rowe went on a tear, landing knees and fists on both Cole and Taven. The ref regained the ring and, predictably, disqualified War Machine for Rowe laying his hands on an official. Cole And Taven were self-satisfied with the win. Hanson was in pain but seemed to recover without having suffered a lasting injury.

Looks like Rowe's temper got the best of him, which inadvertently helped Adam Cole (Bay-Bay) validate his choice to accept Matt Taven into the ranks of Affluence... Is Truth Martini trying to pull another fast one? Gonna be a lot of fun watching this drama unfold... I really like the pairing of Cole and Taven, so hopefully it will work out...
Congratulations on winning Indy FOTQ1, my friend... Very well deserved!

Pariah , TTX - The War Machine DQ was a good way for Affluence to win and get some heat. Thanks for reading and commenting, guys! And thanks and congrats to you as well, Pariah. I was expecting you to win a vote at some point but two at once? When it rains it pours.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 26 Dalton Castle def. Chris Sabin w/Truth Martini by pin During introductions, the usually skeevy Martini had the tables turned on him as Dalton went out of his way to make Truth feel uncomfortable. Castle got early near falls with a sunset flip off of the ropes and a couple of Deadlift German Suplexes. A spin-out facebuster and a third Deadlift German Suplex urged Truth into action, distracting the referee. Castle stayed focus and struck with yet another Deadlift German Suplex. Martini yanked the ref out of the ring by the ankle, getting a firm warning from the angry official. Nothing Sabin tried could get him on track and Castle took the fall with a final Deadlift German Suplex in what had to be considered an upset against the former world champion. Stokely Hathaway and Veda Scott are joined in the ring by Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly - reDRagon. As Fish and O’Reilly verbally jousted with members of the audience, Stokely tried to get the sullen Veda to participate in the segment. Veda stayed planted in place, tight-lipped. Hathaway seemed to be trying to figure out what Veda’s problem was. With a sudden turn, she urgently left the ring, as a confused Stokely watched her leave. Fish grabbed the mic. “Big Stoke, why don’t you go find out what’s wrong with your girlfriend. Kyle and I can handle this.” Hathaway hesitated, then followed after his interview partner. “All Night Express, I don’t know what you did to piss off Nigel McGuinness but it seems like he’s as sick of you guys as we are. I mean, putting you in a Ladder War with Kyle and I? He signed your death warrant, boys.” Kenny King & Rhett Titus, the new ROH Tag Team Champions, appeared through the curtain. Fish continued: “You may have won those tag team titles from us at Death Before Dishonor but I think we all know what a fluke that was.”The crowd boos and ANX fire back but the audio doesn’t pick it up. “At All Star Extravaganza, we’ll be taking back those belts. But you two might not make it there to defend them. Rhett, next week Kyle is going to take your arm home with him. And tonight, Kenny, I’m going to rip one of your boots off… with your foot still in it!”ANX approached ringside and the ref cleared O’Reilly from the ring as Fish was set to wrestle King. Rhett and Kyle were then instructed to go to the back. Bobby Fish def. Kenny King by DQ King came out punching and kicking. Fish was on his heels for a while until he clocked Kenny with a Sleeps With The Fishes kick to the head. Fish took King to the floor but it was Kenny who was disqualified when he pulled a ladder from under the ring and gave Bobby a spinebuster onto it. King didn’t seem to mind the result and told Bobby to “get ready” for more of the same at Ladder War. ROH Update with Stokely Hathaway“Greetings ROH fans. Ladder War 6 won’t be the only title rematch taking place at All Star Extravaganza. New ROH World Television Champion Donovan Dijak has agreed to give former champion BJ Whitmer a rematch at our next pay-per-view event. But, according to Dijak’s manager, Truth Martini, it will be under one condition: it will be contested as a Boston Street Fight! With Dijak being a native of the Boston area, and since the event takes place close by, it only seems appropriate that the feud between these two be settled this way. Whitmer has accepted the challenge, so be sure to purchase All Star Extravaganza from your PPV provider. It happens in just two weeks!” Jay & Mark Briscoe def. The Addiction by pin The newest member of Affluence, Matt Taven, joined Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino on commentary. Steve asked Matt about Daniels having a problem with him joining Affluence. Taven said that there would be an adjustment period and everyone would soon be on the same page. Corino then apologized for having to ask if Taven was in cahoots with his old manager Truth Martini. Matt laughed it off. Christopher Daniels kept a wary eye on Taven and Kevin suggested that maybe Matt was a distraction for his stablemates. Taven said that Daniels and Kazarian “...should have no problem beating these chicken farming Melvins.”With Daniels’ attention divided, Mark got the jump on him and went for a pin after a Saito Suplex. Jay tagged in and gave Chris a Death Valley Driver on the apron, almost getting a count out. A Jay Driller had Daniels in trouble and Kazarian came in for the save, drawing Mark in as well. The two sides brawled as the ref struggled to regain control. Mark missed a plunge from the top rope and Daniels was able to tag out. Kaz did not fare much better as Mark worked him over, requiring a save by Daniels. Jay took over and continued the beatdown, finishing Kaz with a Jay Driller. As Daniels helped Kaz up from the canvas, he glared at Taven. “Wow, that didn’t go so well,” was Taven’s remark to the commentary team. “I mean, that kinda makes Affluence look bad, doesn’t it?”Kevin Kelly signed off as Steve Corino considered Taven’s comment.

As usual, you've delivered some exciting in-ring action, my friend... Really enjoyed Castle's upset over the former champion, Chris Sabin... And the main event really displayed the intensity of Dem Boys as the steamrolled over the Addiction...
However, it is your ability to capture the 'voices' of these entertainers that really makes your fed stand out... Bobby Fish is a master of psychology on the stick (even though this time, King made him pay for his remarks)... And listening to Matt Taven on guest commentary was just as fun as listening to him in real-life...
Amazing work!
