I gotta bring in some new talent! I've been hoping for a few DQ or COR finishes to stretch things out for a few "months" but my champions have been dominant.
Bobo KILLED Sheik. And everyone else! Rogers dispatched Mascaras and Dewey Robertson with no problems Hennig and Race have torched everyone Even Penny Banner has had no problems
Next month will be a special sorta card which should (fingers crossed) keep things going for a while till I build some more talent

YEAR 01 – MONTH 04
TV TAPINGS
WEEK 1 - The Russian Assassin (w/ Nikita Breznikov) def. George South by submission @ 6:06 with the BACKBREAKER. In a post-match interview, Breznikov stated that he was bringing in more of Russia’s greatest athletes and creating an army that would rule the IWLF. - George “The Animal” Steele & The Sheik (w/ The Grand Wizard) def. Mister X & Savage-T @ 5:24 when Sheik threw the FIREBALL at Mister X and scored the pin. A frightened Steele ran back to the dressing room when he saw the flame. - “Wildfire” Tommy Rich pinned “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe @ 8:30 with the THESZ PRESS - A video package of The Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) was shown and it was mentioned that the Bees would be making their IWLF debut in the coming weeks - Jim Powers & Marc Bagwell def. The Belgian Brawler & Johnny Rodz @ 15:04 when Bagwell pinned Rodz following a double arm DDT in a wild match. - Blackjack Mulligan pinned S.D. Jones @ 7:36 following a knee to the gut. After the match Mulligan applied the CLAWHOLD and refused to release it, causing Jones to bleed profusely from the head. A big red X covered the screen as officials ran in to try and stop Mulligan and the show faded off the air.
WEEK 2 - “Playboy” Buddy Rose pinned UNITED STATES CHAMPION Bobo Brazil in a non-title match @ 8:46 following a DDT when Buddy Rogers’ manager Handsome Jonny Fairplay, who was sitting in on commentary “scouting the match” hit Bobo in the ribs with a chair as the referee was distracted. During the match is was revealed that Brazil was deemed the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship held by Rogers. Fairplay promised that Brazil wouldn’t even beat Buddy Rose so how did he expect to beat Buddy Rogers. - Dick Hutton pinned Mister X @ 5:54 following a side salto - Blackjack Mulligan def. Savage-T @ 4:04 with the CLAWHOLD. Mulligan was interviewed after the match and denied he put any kind of foreign object in his glove that caused his opponents to bleed, saying it was only from his natural hand strength. - WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Harley Race & Larry Hennig def. Soul Train Jones & Hillbilly Luke in a non-title match @ 15:25 when Hennig pinned Luke after a double forearm hammer. The champs seemed off their game and were lucky to escape with the win. - A still angry Bobo Brazil came out and demanded a match next week with Buddy Rogers, Buddy Rose or both of them! - Jim Powers destroyed Lou Albano @ 0:21 when Albano charged him at the bell but was monkey flipped high into the air! Powers then delivered a wicked POWER SLAM for the pin! Marc Bagwell sat in on commentary and said they were looking for a good team name and perhaps a manager
WEEK 3 - The Killer Bees (Brain Blair & Jim Brunzell) def. Red Berry & Bobby Heenan @ 10:44 when Brunzell pinned Heenan following a BEE STING - It was announced that Bobo Brazil would be facing Buddy Rose in a rematch from last week, later in the show - Johnny Rodz pinned Mister X @ 8:36 following two dropkicks and a top rope bodypress - Blackjack Mulligan did a demonstration where he crushed apples with his CLAWHOLD - Red Bastien pinned Lou Albano @ 8:40 following an ATOMIC DROP - UNITED STATES CHAMPION Bobo Brazil pinned Buddy Rose (w/ Jonny Fairplay) in a non-title match @ 7:18 after a COCO BUTT. During the match, Fairplay tried to interfere but Brazil grabbed him on the apron and delivered a COCO BUTT to the manager, sending him running back to the dressing room.
Dark Match: - The Russian Assassin (w/ Nikita Breznikov) def. Dewey Robertson by submission @ 11:08 after applying the BACKBREAKER.

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, New York, NY
- Johnny Rodz def. Red Berry by submission @ 12:56 with a toe hold - Marc Bagwell & Jim Powers def. George South & Lash Leroux @ 0:56 when Powers pinned South following a top rope splash. Before the match, Bagwell and Powers attacked their opponents and smashed George South into the steel ring post before rolling him in to the ring with Powers delivering the splash for the win. After the match, Bagwell thanked the fans for their support. - Blackjack Mulligan pinned Dewey Robertson @ 15:30 with the CLAWHOLD after sucker punching Robertson with some kind of object from outside the ring as the referee was attempting to keep Dewey back and give Mulligan a chance to get back into the ring. - WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Buddy Rogers pinned UNITED STATES CHAMPION Bobo Brazil @ 23:06 with the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE when Brazil passed out from the pain and was counted down. Only Rogers’ title was on the line. Prior to the match, Rogers received the IWLF title belt though he had been billed as ‘world champion’ for the past three months - Tommy “Wildfire” Rich pinned The Belgian Brawler @ 10:53 with the THESZ PRESS - George Steele & The Sheik def. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Harley Race & Larry Hennig by DQ @ 18:42 when Hennig refused to break a choke on Sheik as the two brawled outside the ring. It took many officials from the back to break up the melee and restore order. Hennig and Race retain the titles. - The Russian Assassin (w/ Nikita Breznikov) def. Hillbilly Jim by DQ @ 10:42 when Hillbilly Luke interfered as Nikita Breznikov took some cheap shots at Jim outside the ring while Assassin kept the referee distracted. Jim and Luke cleared the ring of Assassin and Breznikov with Jim’s horseshoe and chain. - Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell def. Buddy Rose & Larry Sharpe by submission @ 14:08 when Blair put Larry Sharpe out with the SLEEPER

Dick Hutton @ 11:44 by DQ when Hutton was caught with Albano’s foreign object after Albano dropped it, as the two brawled outside the ring - Afa Jr. pinned George South @ 12:59 following the LIGHTS OUT - Nikita Breznikov pinned Savage-T @ 13:44 with a handful of tights after choking him on the ropes - Brain Blair & Jim Brunzell def. Bobby Heenan & Johnny Rodz @ 18:53 when Blair put Rodz out with the SLEEPER - Blackjack Mulligan pinned Koko Ware @ 11:30 with the CLAWHOLD - Tommy Rich def. George “The Animal” Steele @ 13:36 by DQ when Steele knocked down the referee as the two wrestlers brawled outside the ring.

WEEK 1 - The Russian Assassin, Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov (w/ Ivan Koloff & Nikita Breznikov) def. Koko Ware, S.D. Jones & Soul Train Jones @ 17:11 when Assassin got Koko to submit to the BACKBREAKER. Breznikov introduced his ‘Russian Army’ and explained Ivan Koloff’s three month disappearance as a recruitment and training mission. The Russians showed they will do anything to win as Koloff knocked Koko off the top rope while the referee was distracted , setting him up for the masked member’s deadly finisher - Tommy Rich pinned George South @ 5:56 with the THESZ PRESS In a post-match interview Rich mentioned that he was looking to sign a match with Buddy Rogers for the IWLF Heavyweight Championship - Blackjack Mulligan def. Ken Doane @ 7:45 by submission with the CLAWHOLD - The Sheik (w/ George Steele & The Grand Wizard) def. Larry Sharpe @ 6:05 by submission with the CAMEL CLUTCH after George Steele worked over Sharpe outside the ring while the referee was distracted. After the bell, Sheik held on to the hold while Steele stomped the helpless Sharpe until World Tag Team Champions Larry Hennig & Harley Race hit the ring to chase them away. - UNITED STATES CHAMPION Bobo Brazil def. Savage-T @ 6:42 by submission with a grinding hammerlock when Savage-T tried a corner charge but Brazil moved causing T to smash shoulder first into the ring post.
WEEK 2 - Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell def. George South & Savage-T @ 9:18 when Brunzell pinned Savage-T following a KILLER DROPKICK - Dick Hutton pinned Bobby Heenan @ 7:03 with the Oklahoma sideroll. After the match Hutton was interviewed and said he is offering $1,000 to anyone who can pin him on TV in under 10 minutes - Marc Bagwell & Jim Powers def. S.D. Jones & Hillbilly Luke @ 13:25 when Bagwell pinned Jones with a handful of tights following a scoop slam. After the match, Bagwell & Powers wanted to shake hands with their opponents but S.D. & Luke were having none of it. Powers got on the mic and thanked the fans for their support and their opponents for a great match. - Blue Meanie pinned Red Berry @ 8:18 following a big body slam - Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov (w/ Nikita Breznikov) def. Mister X & The Belgian Brawler @ 7:11 when Zhukov pinned Mister X following a DIVING HEAD BUTT
WEEK 3 - Blackjack Mulligan def. Lou Albano @ 2:45 by submission with the CLAWHOLD After the match, Mulligan was interviewed and demanded better competition - Koko Ware & Johnny Rodz def. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Harley Race & Larry Hennig @ 9:25 in a non-title match when Koko pinned Hennig after a GHOSTBUSTER. The Sheik and George Steele attacked Harley Race as he was standing on the ring apron causing Hennig to be distracted and allowing Koko to hit the GHOSTBUSTER. After the match the champions brawled with Steele and Sheik with Sheik throwing his FIREBALL but missing the target. The champions chased their attackers back to the dressing room - Andre The Giant pinned Larry Sharpe @ 5:48 following a BIG SPLASH - The Russian Assassin (w/ Ivan Koloff) pinned George South @ 5:44 after a top rope clothesline - Red Bastien & Dewey Robertson def. Red Berry & Bobby Heenan @ 9:18 when Robertson made Berry submit to the FIGURE 4 LEGLOCK -
Dark Match: - The scheduled match between Tommy Rich and Blackjack Mulligan did not take place. Instead… - George Steele & The Sheik def. WORLD TAG CHAMPIONS Harley Race & Larry Henning by DQ @ 7:45 when all four wrestlers started brawling outside the ring and Larry Hennig knocked down the referee. It took numerous officials to break things up.

NASSAU COLISEUM, LONG ISLAND, NY
- Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Boris Zhukov) pinned Mister X @ 4:16 after the BACKBREAKER DROP - Dick Hutton pinned The Belgian Brawler @ 12:30 with a side salto - Dewey Robertson & Red Bastien def. Jim Powers and Marcus Bagwell @ 20:40 when Robertson pinned Powers with a top rope body-press. After the match, Bagwell & Powers offered a handshake to their opponents, seemingly showing good sportsmanship which Robertson and Bastien refused. When Robertson and Bastien turned their backs to leave, Bagwell and Powers attacked them from behind and left both of them laying after a series of double team moves. - Blackjack Mulligan def. The Blue Meanie @ 11:26 by submission with the CLAWHOLD. Mulligan refused to break the hold, rendering Meanie a bloody mess. Andre the Giant came down to put a stop to things, chasing Mulligan away. Meanie had to be helped to the back. - The Kentucky Hillbillies (Jim & Luke) def. Ivan Koloff & The Russian Assassin (w/ Nikita Breznikov) @ 15:14 when Jim pinned Assassin after a big boot to the face. Assassin's foot was on the bottom rope but the referee did not see it. The Russians argued with the referee to no avail. - Tommy Rich pinned Buddy Rose @ 14:50 with the THESZ PRESS. Handsome Jonny Fairplay, the manager of IWLF Champion Buddy Rogers came from the crowd and tried to attack Rich after the match but was dropkicked out of the ring. - IWLF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Harley Race & Larry Hennig def. The Sheik & George Steele (w/ The Grand Wizard) @ 16:26 when Hennig pinned Steele after a turnbuckle squash. After the match, Sheik and the Wizard berated Steele until he snapped and grabbed the manager, causing Sheik to attack his partner with a foreign object. Sheik threw fire at Steele, burning him badly. - Blackjack Mulligan won a 21 man, $10,000 Battle Royal by eliminating Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov simultaneously as they tried a double team clothesline. Other participants (in order of elimination) included Tommy Rich, The Russian Assassin, Andre The Giant, Jim Brunzell, Soul Train Jones, Brian Blair, S.D. I really enjoyed the Nassau Coliseum card, Godzillajoe. Blackjack Mulligan looks like a force to be reckoned with and I'm looking forward to a showdown with Andre the Giant. The Sheik vs. George Steele should be a fun rivalry as well.
