If the details below are accurate, at only a little more money per month ($10-$12) than WWE Classics on Demand and it includes all the non Wrestlemania PPVs at no extra cost- but includes even this year's Wrestlemania at no extra cost- I am definitely getting the WWE Network!
Justin LaBar of WrestleZone.com is reporting that WWE has a targeted launch date of February 24th for the WWE Network, which is the day after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. This confirms a previous report from PWInsider.com, but LaBar's sources provided him with a few extra tidbits about the Network:
- Initial price point will be in the $10-$12 a month range, with the sign-up being for six months.
- You'll be able to watch WrestleMania 30 on the Network, with the plan still being the reported "every non-WrestleMania pay-per-view airing on the Network in the future".
- It won't be a channel on television, but an app-like service along the lines of Netflix that you'll be able to watch online and on devices like smart TVs, PS3, PS4, X-Box 360, X-Box one, and so on.
- There will be a live, 24/7 stream of content on the Network, which is the thing that will separate it from apps like Netflix, which focuses more on-demand viewing. However, on-demand viewing will still be a part of the Network, as the entire library of Raw and Smackdown episodes, as well as pay-per-views, will be available to watch at launch.

If it's available through Apple TV and has a good collection of on demand classic stuff I'd be down. The current ppv's don't interest me half as much as 80s stuff. To watch the Bobby Heenan show, etc again would rock.

It seems to be PC/phone/Roku/game consoles only. I will say this, WrestleZone is FAR from the most reputable source, but other more legit sites have reported this since the initial story broke out with additional details (WWE possibly unveiling it on 1/8/14), so maybe this has some weight to it.

When I watched WWE the PPV's were 40-50 dollars a piece. I'm assuming they are still in that range, so that seems like a strange move on WWE's part to take such a big hit like that.

Actually...not really. If they do the six month sub, they get $60 up front plus you get WM and each PPV after for that $60. Past that, it's $10-15/month per subscriber, meaning if they have 200-300 thousand subs (and they will, probably even more), they'll make far more than if they did the regular PPVs.

While they ridiculous things at time (booking), they're still a company that has to answer to holders if they aren't making a profit. No way they could justify dropping their revenue through PPV without a (somewhat) solid plan. They may have convinced the board this is a legit long term plan, but that, itself, remains to be seen. I'd probably get if he price was right.

Nobody has a real idea yet beyond what Vince throws out during conference calls when he has to give the whole 'it's still happening' speech.

Starts with $15, I probably would pass
