Watching Extreme Rules on WWE Network on replay tonight. I have 2 comments...
COMMENT 1: Barrett vs. Big E: I'm glad Barrett won, but 80% of me thought this was Barrett's first IC Title, with the other 20% thinking it might be his second. Then, Cole (or whoever, like it matters, all 3 announcers suck now) said it was Barrett's FOURTH IC TITLE.
ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?
How many IC Titles did Steamboat have?!?!?! ONE!!!! And his reign lasted for ONLY 2 MONTHS!!! And this is remembered 50X more than any other IC champ in history!!! REMEMBER WHEN THE IC TITLE MEANT SOMETHING?!?!?!?!?! RAGE!!!!!!!!
COMMENT 2: Bryan vs. Kane. I just can't take Kane seriously. SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO, SURE. But now, really dude? Same old s**t. Been there, done that. Then, Bryan hits a flying headbutt OFF A FLIPPING FORKLIFT PALLETT AND KANE KICKS OUT!?!?!??!?!? That should've been it! IDIOTIC!!!!!
I know I sound like a whining 5 year old right now, but COME ON MAN!!!!!!! MAKE THIS CRAP HALFWAY BELIEVABLE!!!

The whole main event was completely unbelievable. The whole match was a mess and the forklift spot (from the moment it started to the end) was one of the most laughable moments I've seen in wrestling for a long time. Even funnier than John Cena being beaten by a kid.

A huge letdown, except for the Shield vs. Evolution match, which actually exceeded expectations for me. And yes, I remember when ALL the titles meant something, which is sadly just not the case anymore. I mean does anybody really buy the Uso's as a championship team??? As for that ridiculous main event, the forklift was stupid the first time around with Foley and the Rock. Danielson deserves much better, but I guess I need to keep reminding myself he now works for an entertainment company, not a wrestling one.

But I bet we can expect a super deluxe Daniel Bryan figure, complete with forklift accessory, on the shelves by Christmas at our local department store. ;-)

My wife, who is (at best) a casual fan, watched Extreme Rules with me. I found seeing it through her eyes much more interesting than the event itself. Some of her observations: She asked what the point was to Paul Heyman being Cesaro's manager. She thought Bad News Barrett was the face. She was completely disinterested in Evolution Vs. The Shield (partially because she can't seem to tell the three members of the Shield apart. She laughed at the cage match ending. Her favorite match was the main event... Because she liked Kane in it. ... I can't explain it either.

Nice to see I'm not the only one. I'm about to turn RAW off tonight and just go to sleep. GLOW was better than this, LOL.

I didn't even care to watch RAW this week. I watched Netflix instead. From the recaps I read it looks like I didn't miss anything. And so step 1 of my WWE detoxing has begun, LOL. I hope that within a month I'm done altogether. Maybe I'll get back into it around SummerSlam.

May only get worse if they are forced to strip Danielson of the title while he recovers from neck surgery, which seems to be legit...the only things worth watching post-wrestlemania have been bray wyatt's promos and the shield's beatdowns of evolution. Payback should be called flashback, as it's looking awfully similar to extreme rules...

I wish they would go back to having two "Brands" and splitting the roster again so they could do more with the talent pool they have. Rather than showcasing the same 10-16 performers on both cable channel shows. It could give them more time between pay per views to build up interest and storylines and also let some of the lesser used talent get a chance to surprise some folks or at least practice their abilities and craft.
But I am getting tired of things.
