Because the WWE doesn't renew these all the time. However they seem to trot out Doink every year or so to keep it. Richards is great.....looking forward to him. Who superkicks Jannetty through the Barber Shop Window? I volunteer my 12 year old...all a superkick is a step behind side kick....no problem!

A few days late here, but... Yes, Doink is WWE's gimmick. So curious: how did we get "Brutus Beefcake" and "Val Venis" and "The Mountie"? Not sure about Beefcake. He is allowed to use the name on certain indy shows--he may just have been "under the radar" enough. The Mountie has a rather famous trademark history, and the WWF couldn't use that name in Canada because the RCMP objected to the gimmick. Val Venis also has a really weird history. At one point, possibly multiple points, the WWF lost their trademark on the name because it was apparently claimed by some other guy who also had it as a legal name. I think this is why he became "Chief Morley." And some time before that, they changed his official ring name to "The Big Valboski" (as in, not just a nickname--as his actual ring name) for a very brief period, for possibly similar reasons. "Doink" as a name is probably out. I'm not sure how FG could be prevented from releasing a card for "The Clown" or "The Wrestling Clown" if they really wanted.

It's David vs. Goliath. The grass roots indie scene vs striding corporate giant. Promoter Randy Grey does a great job, I'd put the money on David!
Come one, come all to Jamestown to see the Bash!

Purchased some tickets for friends at the Reg Lenna box office for Great Galaxian Bash and you have no idea how cool it is to see official tickets with CHAMPIONS OF THE GALAXY LIVE EVENT inscribed on them! Fantastic souvenir and turning point in the game's long history.
I'll take a pic and post.
