Surprised by Bourne, Camacho and Clay. Like another poster said Bournes injuries did him in. Clay and Camacho were given bad gimmicks...but I've seen worse gimmicks and guys make it work so who knows. Heath Slater made the cut. I think Bourne, Clay and Long end up in TNA. Yoshi, McIntyre and Mahal overseas. Others in indys.
Kinda figured heads would roll with all the negative WWE news lately.
PS Why aren't Darren Young and David Otunga on this list?

I think Bourne's suspensions for synthetic marijuana might have done him in, the injuries were just a bonus. Sad to see him go either way, he's great. I think Bourne, Clay and Long end up in TNA. Long and Clay I could see, but Bourne seems like a decent fit for a returning ROH legend like Paul London. McIntyre and Mahal overseas. I kinda think one or both will end up going to Jeff Jarrett's promotion if they ever try to get that sinking ship off the ground. PS Why aren't Darren Young and David Otunga on this list? It's obvious why Young won't be fired any time soon and Otunga does the Be A Star stuff for them.

I haven't been watching WWE super closely in quite some time but a lot of these still seem pretty surprising. Some seemed like they had been in WWE forever... long past when it would have been expected that they get released. Brodus Clay is maybe the most surprising though. I couldn't stand his stupid dancing gimmick but he seemed to be pretty well liked by WWE. Hopefully these guys and gals find work elsewhere soon whether that's TNA, ROH, GFW or Japan. I could see Brodus Clay getting over in Japan as some sort of monster Gaijin.
I'd also take any and/or all of them in LOW. Just throwin' that out there.

I am shocked by some of the names. I guess JTG finally answered his phone today, he posted something on twitter about "Really should never answer the phone" or something like that.
I have also read that is only the start of releases. Rumors are going around that Vickie was let go/didn't have her contract renewed. I think guys like Ryder, Santino, and Heath Slater should really start watching their backs. Same with any woman NOT on Total Diva's (so I guess Rosa Mendez is safe for now)

Funny, I was also thinking the same thing about Darren Young. He might be the safest guy on the roster not named Cena. It makes you feel bad for those that got / get released, yet at the same time, it's the WWE gimmicks that they're given to work with that make me feel as they won't be missed. I don't know about the rest of you, but I know I'd be just fine to never hear another "excuse me" or "COBRA" again. To me, this is where that dangerous line of wrestling and entertainment starts to blur...

I think Santino would be pretty well off if he got canned. He's made a lot of money there and he has a pretty good school in Canada.
