FROM LORDS OF PAIN Santino Marella reportedly announced his retirement from in-ring action at tonight's WWE live event in Toronto. Santino told the crowd that he has suffered his third neck injury.
We noted before that Santino mentioned in a recent interview that his career was winding down and was interested in staying with WWE in a non-wrestling role.

He's gonna be pretty well off even if they do let him go. He's got a school in Canada that's apparently pretty great and it's doing well.

Sucks if Santino retires. I have always enjoyed the brief time I got to chat with him backstage at a local indy show a few years back.

He is one of the few reasons I check in to Smackdown and Raw when I do.

one of my favorite Santino moments (I thought it was especially hilarious since they gave us translation lines for what Santino sang in English but no translation lines for what Lilian Garcia had just sang in Spanish:)

I think that was more so the people could sing along, rather than translation.

I think that was more so the people could sing along, rather than translation. but the live audience, which would be the audience you could hear singing along, doesn't see the sub-titles on the screen when they are looking at Santino perform in front of them I think they put the sub-titles as a joke for extra emphasis that Santino was not a very good singer.
