Fantastic match! Muldoon gave it everything he had, but Andre will not be denied...

Nothing is denying The Giant this year!! Go Andre! I'm going for Inoki next match though The Sheik has been getting away with cheating ways. Let's hope that Danny Davis or Nick Patrick are the ref.

Antonio Inoki (28) v. The Sheik (61) w/Abdul Farouk
The heat for The Sheik is off the charts as the man who literally has carved his way into the quarterfinals makes his way to ringside. Inoki comes out to a huge ovation and takes to the fight to Sheik early on. Inoki wrestles a smart match avoiding any brawling and action at ringside. Sheik is able to counter a deathjump attempt with a boot to the face. Sheik then climbs the corner himself for a deathjump but Inoki rolls clear and Sheik crashes to the mat. Inoki quickly covers for 1 (R11/P1). Inoki uses a choke slam to set up a bow and arrow but Sheik is not ready to submit yet (R7/P2). An ENZUIGIRI connects but Sheik again is able to kick out of the cover (R9/P4). A second consecutive ENZUIGIRI gets a two count (R8/P5). A third in a row and Farouk cannot distract from ringside so he jumps onto the apron. Sheik throws a FIREBALL at Inoki while the referee is distracted. The fans are in shock as Sheik is about to get another controversial win. Sheik covers. 1, 2, kickout! (R9/P6) The fans are on their feet roaring. Sheik goes for the submission with the CAMEL CLUTCH but Inoki makes the ropes (R6/P3). Sheik takes the action outside but Inoki is able to run Sheik into the ring post busting him open. The fans love it. Back inside, Sheik regains control including a running slingshot in the corner. Sheik mounts the corner for a deathjump but Inoki catches him on top and tosses him to the mat. Inoki tells the fans βenoughβ and nearly takes Sheikβs head off with an ENZUIGIRI. 1, 2, kick out! (R10/P6). Inoki clamps on an OCTOPUS HOLD and with the fans roaring Sheik somehow is able to grab the ropes (R7/P6). Inoki cannot believe it and looks stunned. Inoki hits a belly to back suplex and the Sheik looks out cold. Inoki applies another OCTOPUS HOLD but again Sheik makes the ropes (R12/P7). Inoki then moves directly to a bow and arrow. The Sheik is not responsive and the referee calls for the bell. The defending champion makes his way to the semi-finals (R4/P8). Up next . . . Bruiser Brody (15) v. Ted DiBiase (Glove) (39)

Awesome match. Quite possibly the match of the tournament so far. Inoki will have his work cut out for him in the next round

Wow, Antonio Inoki vs. The Sheik was incredible and what a win by Inoki. Andre over Muldoon was also a war and Muldoon put up a good fight in defeat. I can't wait for Andre vs. Inoki, a Japan classic revisted! Brody vs. Dibiase should be a war as well. This tournament has far exceeded expectations. I am praying for a DQ free final round. Keep the action coming.

The Sheik's cheating ways didn't work this time. The next round should be a good match up between The Giant and Inoki. Going for Brody in the next round. Like to see him vs The Giant in the finals.

BEST... MATCH... YET! What a performance by both Sheik and Inoki... Unbelievable setup for the semifinal confrontation between Andre and Inoki...
Really looking forward to the next bout... DiBiase will get brutalized, but will escape with a DQ victory...
Just keeps gettin' better!
