Thanks for the feedback Pariah and TTX . Rogers was indeed the man Ottawa and I was also hoping for something more out of RVD. Not sure where The Whole Show is going to go from this point after such a poor showing. Brazil over Destroyer was shocker for me so I had to book an immediate rematch. If Destroyer wins that one, this could be the next major conflict in the territory. I am also looking forward to resolving the conflict between Savage and Race. It should be a war. The loser may find themselves far back in the title race so a lot is on the line. It has been an fun, dice driven/created, story line to roll out.

News and Views After approaching management with several complaints of what they have called “bias officiating”, the Foreign Legion have been provided with their releases and will be departing the territory immediately. Despite being featured predominately on the card and engaged in a multi-match feud with the Road Warriors for the Canadian Open Tag Team Titles, Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff were not able to capture the titles. Even with the controversial attack and subsequent injury to Road Warrior Hawk, the Road Warriors successfully turned back the challenge of the Foreign Legion and Hawk gained some personal revenge when he soundly beat Sheik one on one just this past week. No word on where the pair is heading next. Management is hoping it is far from Southern Ontario as possible. In other news, the main event for the big Maple Leaf Gardens show on May 27th has been announced as Canadian Heavyweight Champion Buddy Rogers will make his second defense of the title against the man he beat for the strap Lou Thesz. This will be the second consecutive main event for these two as Thesz won championship from Rogers in the Gardens back on April 1st. Also signed for the card are what promises to be a pair of incredibly violent contests. First, Brutus Beefcake will look to finally finish things with Greg Valentine when the two clash in a Dog Collar Match. Then, in another featured event, Hacksaw Jim Duggan will step into the steel cage with Ted DiBiase! Be sure to check the action from Hamilton on May 13th which will also feature a steel cage match as Randy Savage battles Harley Race with the winner claiming the vacant Commonwealth Title.

Card 07 – North Wentworth Community Arena, Hamilton, ON – May 13, 2018
It is appropriate that the tonight’s steel cage match is being held in Hamilton, a city known as Ontario’s steeltown. The arena is jammed even before the first bell so lets get to the ring.
The Taylors b. Rock Riddle & Wild Bill White A squash match gets the action started with Tugboat Taylor overpowering Riddle from the opening bell and putting him away quickly with a cobra clutch suplex.
Gorgeous George b. Ron Hutchison After taking his time “preparing” at ringside with Cherie Dupré, George loses his mind when Morgan Dollar sends Dupré to the back. Hutchison takes advantage and controls the early action but George battles back including a running lariat and face rake with Georgie pins that enrages the fans. George comes of the top with a deathjump cross body block for the win. Jimmy Snuka b. Frank Dalton Snuka is out to a great pop from the fans and he responds by destroying Dalton from the opening bell. A piledriver stuns Dalton for a two count before Snuka lands a crowd pleasing SUPERFLY LEAP to claim the victory. Dalton has zero offense the entire match. Road Warrior Animal b. Larry Hennig As expected, the impact between these two was intense from the outset. An early double clothesline sent both men crashing to the mat and it was Animal who was able to regain his feet first. Animal landed back to back POWER SLAMS but could not get the three count. The action then went in and out of the ring. Hennig bounced Animal’s face off the ringside table as the battle raged on. Animal send Hennig in to the air with a pair of back body drops that shook the ring. In the end, Animal was able to execute a third POWER SLAM to pick up the win.
Pampero Firpo b. “Cowboy” Scott Casey Casey drew on the support of the fans to get the early control of the match but a leg drop misses and allows Firpo an opening. Firpo bites Casey several times drawing heat from the fans. They go outside and Firpo slams Casey to the floor. Back in the ring, Firpo lands several running body slams which knock the remaining energy from Casey who falls to EL GARFIO. The Destroyer b. Bobo Brazil Destroyer was looking to get his win back against the always popular Brazil but was in for a fight from the outset. They ended up brawling on the floor early on and Destroyer attempted to choke out Brazil with a strap from Dr. Mike Lano’s camera but Brazil grabbed the camera away and bashed Destroyer with it. A pair of COCO BUTTS had Destroyer loopy but he managed to kick out of the pin attempts. They battled back and forth and in and out of the ring. Destroyer was able to avoid a charge to the corner and nearly stole the three count with the following roll up with his feet on the ropes for leverage. Back to the floor and Destroyer nailed Brazil in the leg with a chair drawing great heat. The action went back inside and Destroyer attacked the leg with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the win (snake eyes).
Texas Death Match: Ted DiBiase b. Hacksaw Jim Duggan This was as wild and crazy as you would expect. There was nothing scientific about the use of chairs, turnbuckle wrenches and rope as these two beat each other into a bloody mess. The brawl went all over the area and back again before it was all said and done. In the end, DiBiase waffled Duggan with a chair and then executed a textbook gut wrench suplex for the three count. Steel Cage Match - Commonwealth Title: Harley Race b. “Macho Man” Randy Savage Race had a clear plan from the outset and quickly slowed the pace with a headlock. A head butt stunned Savage and lead to a pair of VERTICAL SUPLEXES that nearly ended it. Ringside was buzzing as Race continued to stay on Savage with pair of back suplexes and then a backbreaker hooking the leg for the three count in the middle of the ring. Savage has no offense the entire match and ringside is stunned as Race is presented with the Commonwealth Title. History is made in Hamilton as congratulations are in order for Harley Race who claims the Commonwealth Championship in convincing fashion. Things appear to be heating up between Bobo Brazil & The Destroyer while Pampero Firpo and Jimmy Snuka will be looking for new challenges going forward. Up next, we head to Cambridge, Ontario for an event from the Galt Arena Gardens featuring the following matches:
**King Kong Bundy has been signed to a contract and will make his in-ring debut in Cambridge. His opponent will be popular “Cowboy” Scott Casey who struggled in the lower mid card to date but could make a bold statement with a victory against the walking condominium. **After splitting their first two encounters with one victory each, The Destroyer & Bobo Brazil will meet for a third time in Cambridge as the intensity between these two continues to grow. **The territory’s most violent feud continues as Ted DiBiase & Greg Valentine clash with Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Brutus Beefcake in a Texas Tornado Match
**The Double Axe Attack will have their work cut out for them when they challenge the Road Warriors for the Canadian Open Tag Team Titles based on the singles encounter tonight between Larry Hennig & Road Warrior Animal that saw Animal come way with the convincing victory
**The main event will see the two singles champions on opposite sides of tag team action in a match that will also features their number one contenders as Canadian Heavyweight Champion Buddy Rogers will team with Bruiser Brody to face Commonwealth Champion Harley Race and Lou Thesz.

Card 08 – Galt Arena Gardens, Cambridge, ON – May 20, 2018
We are in one of the oldest arenas in the province this week with the Gardens being constructed in 1921. With a capacity is just over a thousand people, tickets are gone for this one in a flash as all three champions are in action in a pair of impressive tag team main events and this being a long weekend! Bell Time!
Ron Van Dam b. Wild Bill White White gave Van Dam some anxious moments from the opening bell controlling most of the action. However, Van Dam was able to smack White across the back with a chair and then put him away with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH for the three count.
“Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan b. Ron Hutchinson The match ended quickly after brief back and forth exchange of counters when Heenan blasted Hutchison in the face with a FOREIGN OBJECT for the controversial three count. King Kong Bundy COR “Cowboy” Scott Casey Bundy uses his power to dominate the action from the outset. A bear hug squeezes the life out of Casey and the falls to the floor. Bundy comes outside and slams Casey onto the floor. Morgan Dollar reaches ten and Casey is counted out of the ring.
Diamond Dallas Page b. Bruiser Costa Page was looking to get back on a winning streak and came out strong. Costa was game tonight however and battled back including kicking out after a DIAMOND CUTTER. They brawled in and out of the ring each taking turns ramming the other into the ringside table. Inside, a Diamond Dream took a lot of the fight out of Costa allowing Page to take control of the bout and finish it with a second DIAMOND CUTTER. Texas Tornado Match: Greg Valentine & Ted DiBiase b. Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Brutus Beefcake Before this one was over, the action was as wild and crazy as you would expect. Things started off slowly with Valentine & DiBiase dominating their enemies. Thanks to the support of the fans, Duggan & Beefcake battled back and exchange of near falls began. All four men used their finishers several times only to have the attempt at victory broken up by the other side. Both sides used a chair as a weapon. Only Beefcake escaped wearing the crimson mask before Morgan Dollar made the deciding pin count. After nearly a half an hour of action, Valentine avoided Beefcake’s charge into the corner sending Beefcake hard against the buckles. Both men fell to the mat with Valentine’s arm over Beefcake. It was enough of a cover for Dollar to hit the mat three times ending an absolute war. Bobo Brazil DQ The Destroyer The Destroyer was in the face of Morgan Dollar before the bell and the fans were all over him. Brazil showcased an impressive power attack but Destroyer was able to slow things down and go to work. The action went outside and Destroyer executed an airplane spin and then dropped Brazil onto the ringside table smashing it. Morgan Dollar quickly called for the disqualification and Destroyer was not pleased. The issue between these two competitors appears to be far from resolved.
Canadian Open Tag Team Title Match: Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering b. Double Axe Attack (Larry Hennig & Curt Hennig Morgan Dollar made a controversial decision before the bell sending Paul Ellering to the back. This only angered the Warriors. Hawk stunned the fans with a gorilla press slam to Larry Hennig and everyone knew it was going to a long night for the challenger. Perhaps not that long as the Warriors never allowed Hennig to tag out and Animal connected with back to back POWER SLAMS for the victory while Hawk kept Curt Hennig from making the save. After the match, Curt Hennig was anything but impressed with his dad and leaves the ring alone. Intercontinental Champion Harley Race & Lou Thesz DQ Canadian Champion Buddy Rogers & Lou Thesz Morgan Dollar as strict instructions for both sides before the bell. Some excellent back and forth action between Race and Brody early on the leads to Brody scoring a huge near fall off a JUMPING KNEE DROP. We get Rogers against Thesz for a stretch as a preview of their upcoming Canadian Title match with Thesz surviving being trapped in a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Race gets back into the match dominating Rogers and then battling Brody with success as well. A VERTICAL SUPLEX gets a near fall before they go to the floor where Brody makes use of his chains to choke out Race leaving Dollar no choice but to call for the disqualification.
Some wild action tonight in the second half of the show including a dominating title defense by the Road Warriors. Up next is a stacked card from Maple Leaf Gardens with the following matches already signed:
**In a match up of two competitors looking to get back into title contention, Rob Van Dam will meet “Macho Man” Randy Savage. **After battling to an inconclusive finish tonight, promoters were quick to sign Bobo Brazil and The Destroyer to another match. This time it will be two out of three falls.
**Canadian Champion Buddy Rogers will put his title on the line against former champion Lou Thesz in what should be a title classic
**In what is sure to be a wild and bloody encounter, Greg Valentine & Brutus Beefcake will be hooked together by a steel chain as they clash in a Dog Collar Match!
**In a bout meant to finish the ongoing conflict between Ted DiBiase & Hacksaw Jim Duggan, the two will meet inside a steel cage!

This is one of my favorite feds and man that main event on Card 08 was awesome with Harley Race & Lou Thesz taking on Buddy Rogers & Bruiser Brody. The DQ finish wasn't too much of a surprise with Brody involved but it builds good heat between the four. Bobo Brazil vs. The Destroyer has been such a great rivalry and I am looking forward to the two out of three falls match. That Maple Leaf Gardens card overall just sounds tremendous.

A little bit of friction between father and son Hennig could lead to some interesting developments... And I'm stoked to see Duggan and DiBiase take their issues into the steel cage... Wicked stuff, as always!

So many of my favourites are in action this fed... and they all lose! Frank Dalton, Bruiser Costa, Ron Hutchinson, Cowboy Scott Casey... I guess I will take that win by Valentine as partial compensation :-)

Thank you everyone for the feedback.
Card 09 – Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON – May 27, 2018
The fans are jammed into the Gardens for this event that promises to add to the already rich pro-wrestling history in the City. The Canadian Title is on the line tonight in just one of the three main events with a steel cage match and dog collar match rounding out the featured attractions. Bell Time!
King Kong Bundy b. “Cowboy” Scott Casey Casey started off with a solid attack but Bundy stepped up his own offense and his power proved too much for Casey. Even a chair shot by Casey on the floor did little to slow the big man down and Bundy took this one with a five count after an ATLANTIC CITY AVALANCHE. Curt Hennig b. Diamond Dallas Page Hennig was looking find singles success after failing to capture the Canadian Open Tag Team Championship last week but faced a game Page in the second match of the night. Page had the fans behind him and took the fight to Hennig picking up several near falls along the way. Hennig battled back and used a sleeper to slow down Page’s attack. The finish came shortly after Page got the best of Hennig at ringside before Page was caught with a clothesline in the corner. Hennig quickly used a HENNIG PLEX to get the three count. Jimmy Snuka b. Pampero Firpo These two spent almost three quarters of the match beating each other to a bloody mess at ringside as both men tasted the ring post early and often. Dr. Mike Lano became tangled up in the action at one point. Snuka was able to survive EL GARFIO to mount a comeback claiming the victory with an impressive looking deathjump cross body block. Firpo claims to have gotten his shoulder up before the three count but Morgan Dollar’s decision stands and the Super Fly has a big win and likely a new enemy in the process. Dog Collar Match: Greg Valentine b. Brutus Beefcake Valentine bloodies Beefcake early running him into the ring post but with the fans behind him, Beefcake made a comeback after tossing Valentine off the top of the buckle. Valentine uses a chair to the knee during a brawl on the floor earing great heat. Later, Beefcake reversed a whip and Valentine when hard into the steel. Beefcake hammered away with the chair rendering Valentine a bloody mess. Another brawl on the floor when to the Hammer and he nearly won the match with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Beefcake came back clotheslining Valentine for a big near fall but Valentine was able to wrap the chain around Beefcake’s head and choke him out. With Beefcake no longer able to defend himself, Morgan Dollar had no option but to call for the bell and award Valentine the decision. Best of Three Falls: Destroyer b. Bobo Brazil 2 to 1 Destroyer looked very impressive in the opening fall dominating the action leading up to a Bombs Away for a near fall. They go to the floor where Destroyer rams Brazil’s leg into the ring post several times leading to a disqualification from Morgan Dollar. Up one fall, Brazil can hardly move to start the second fall and Destroyer scores with handstand knee drops followed by FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the submission. The fans are livid. Brazil digs deep and battles hard in the third fall using his power and size to press the attack. Destroyer come back including a Bombs Away that takes a lot of the fight out of Brazil. Destroyer keeps on his opponent until he is able to apply another FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for win. Destroyer keeps the hold in place after the bell doing some more damage. Diamond Dallas Page is out to break things but the damage is done. Page assists Brazil to the back. Rob Van Dam DQ “Macho Man” Randy Savage Van Dam and Savage came together with intensity that had the fans rocking from the outset of the match. Van Dam was able to roll through a cross body block from Savage for a near fall and then nailed a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH that nearly ended it as well. Savage battled back and they began to spend more time on the floor than in the ring. Savage hit a flying axe-handle to the floor and later dumped Van Dam into the ringside table sending officials running for their lives. The action ended up back on the floor and Savage found a length of chain meant for construction of the steel cage later tonight and choked out Van Dam with it earning a disqualification. Canadian Heavyweight Title: Lou Thesz b. Buddy Rogers to win the title The fans were solidly behind Thesz as he was introduced to the ring. Morgan Dollar has some strict instructions for both men and once the bell sounded Thesz dominated the action. Rogers was lucky to escape being pinned with an early school boy after Nature Boy collided with the corner. Thesz scored another near fall after a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP and after a Cobra Clutch Suplex. Thesz worked the upper body with rolling short arm scissors and eventually set up Rogers with an airplane spin leading to another Cobra Clutch Suplex. Rogers was dumped onto his head and could not kick out of the cover. Lou Thesz is now a two-time Canadian Champion!
Steel Cage Match: Hacksaw Jim Duggan b. Ted DiBiase Lot of controversy in this one before it was all said and done. DiBiase attempted to pay off Morgan Dollar before the bell and Dollar appeared shaken by the experience. DiBiase got the early advantage using the cage wall to render Duggan a bloody mess. Duggan stormed back but Dollar became caught up in the action and was down and out for several minutes. Duggan took control during this time having DiBiase beat twice. Dollar regained his feet and both men were bleeding profusely. Dollar was taken out for a second time and once again Duggan had DiBiase pinned with no referee to make the count. The fans were frantic as DiBiase mounted a comeback and it appeared he may get away with the win but Duggan rallied much to the delight of ringside and scored the pin after a FLYING SPEAR. Another history making night in Maple Leaf Gardens has two feuds come to a bloody end and a new Canadian Champion is crowed. Up next, we head to the Midland Arena Gardens for another solid night of action. Some of the featured contest already signed include the following:
**In a big rematch from tonight, Jimmy Snuka once again tangles with Pampero Firpo in what promises to be another mayhem filled encounter.
**Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors will be action in singles matches against their next challengers, Greg Valentine & Ted DiBiase.
**Harley Race makes his first defense of the Commonwealth Title against Bruiser Brody
**Tag Team action heads up the card as new Canadian Champion Lou Thesz teams with Rob Van Dam to face the team of former Champion Buddy Rogers and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

The Maple Leaf Gardens was rocking with a stellar night of action. Although I would have picked Ted Dibiase there is something cool about seeing Hacksaw Jim Duggan vanquish his hated rival inside the Steel Cage. I do like Dibiase and Greg Valentine as a team and it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Road Warriors in both singles and tag action. That win by Valentine over Brutus Beefcake in the Dog Collar Match was brutal.
Congrats to Lou Thesz on becoming a two-time Canadian Heavyweight champion by regaining the belt from Buddy Rogers in what sounded like a great match. I loved the finish to RVD vs. Randy Savage with the "Macho Man" using a length of chain intended for the construction, very clever. The Destroyer got the better of Bobo Brazil on this night that is for sure. That is still my favorite rivalry. Overall a great show and a great read my friend.

That steel cage main event was an awesome way to blow off the Duggan-DiBiase feud... And I'm really looking forward to Thesz and RVD teaming up against the Nature Boy and the Macho Man... Maple Leaf Wrestling continues to rock the Great White North!
