Card 664 – FRIGHT NIGHT – Charon Ice Castle:
Titan Death Match, Wolf, Brute and Massacre defeated Vengeance, Mayhem and Overkill. Thunder a bit bummed at being relegated back into to a bodyguard role but he is showing the sort of obedience Thakur likes. This was originally booked several weeks ago intending for it to be a match involving all the Gladiators but of course Spike’s winning of the main belt meant he was withdrawn late in the day to fulfil a commitment to defend it. They don’t miss him though. The Vanguard make a strong start and pummel Wolf like a rag doll but Mayhem slips up against Massacre. Brute and Massacre are riding high these days and quick to make him pay for the mistake. They batter him with DECAPITATOR. Wolf has been made a scapegoat for recent failures but does a lot to redeem himself by seizing the moment to brawl with and distract both Vengeance and Overkill. He gets overwhelmed but it distracts them trying to break Brute’s pinning attempt of Mayhem
Heavyweight champ, Spike, lost to Matador of M83 by DQ. Ends in glorious failure for the Matador. He matches Spike in every department and looks primed to capture the great prize. The watching crowd is on it’s feet sensing a switch (since ditching the Citadel the Matador has become quite popular) until Chaos brings things to a shuddering halt. Overcome with jealousy and at odds with both the Gladiators and the Matador he decides to jump in and attack Spike. Neither gets the better of one another but Chaos makes no apology for his actions. He cannot stand the thought of the Matador winning the strap and continues to be bitter towards Spike for dethroning him. He is biting off a lot and has enemies everywhere
Interplanetary Champ, Ursa Major, kept his reign going against Enigma. Ursa Major picks up a token from FEET OF FURY but still comes through to win with SHOTGUN CRADLE. Ursa Major has exceeded all expectations by not only winning the belt but also holding onto it longer than anticipated. Trainer Jim calls the success a bonus nobody saw coming but a welcome one. “Shows the boy is developing much quicker than expected”. Just as he is patting him on the back during the interview an angry Splatter, still sweating from his match with Chaos, comes in swinging Arsenal about madly for his second lottery attack of the evening. Jim gets knocked over and Splatter smashes Ursa Major to the ground. The pair of them drop out of camera shot but we can see Splatter constantly lifting his club above his head to beat Ursa Major and can hear every thud. Each impact met with a groan until they stop. Of course the beating still goes on so Ursa Major is obviously unconscious. Only the arrival of Massif, working for the GWF backstage, forces a retreat
Hitman Match, Chaos crushes Splatter within just three moves. Splatter, wrestling under threat of suspension, does not know what hits him as Chaos reverses the first move of the match and hurls Splatter into the buckle. As Splatter bounces back he grabs BOW OF DEFEAT and never lets go. Chaos isn’t even interested in what is in the bag. He reaches to grab it and claim victory before throwing it deep into the crowd. Judging by the screams whatever was in there wasn’t pleasant
Superiority Complex beats Millenium. No Morpheus at ringside as he is busy working with Chaos. Prodigy arrogantly proclaims “we don’t need him. We are so superior to those freaks”. It is a tall order for Millenium what with Colussus being all patched up. Heracles knows he will be carrying most of the load. Despite this difficulty Millenium reminds what a good team they are. They give a strong effort but Colussus is just too injured to keep up with things. He cannot stay out of the action forever and Skinhead eventually catches him with BAD ATTITUDE. Omega praises his team and says they showed they can become tag champions again. With the Gamemasters still not fully committed to the tag division he is considering asking both Heracles and Colussus to become the main tag team of the Champions in 2100
The Gamemasters overcome the Henchmen. Old school action although maybe a sad sign that legends like these are very much in the undercard. Fans still see the Gamemasters as a top team and needing to be involved in more high profile stories. Professional as always the Gamemasters don’t let the grumblings get to them and are straight down to business. They are largely the better team and Thantos comes close with MASTERLOCK on Marcel de Sade but it gets broken up. There are hairy moments to contend with though as de Sade uses THUMBSCREW unsuccessfully against Thantos. The Gamemasters keep their composure and Thantos later catches Dreadnaught with a beautiful sunset flip to score the three count
Dynamo is too strong for Vanity and wins via MUSCLE RIPPER. Good match though and added drama at the end. Cassandra comes in and unravels a dominatrix whip. She lashes Vanity several times as Dynamo laughs. Maxine Babe is too scared to come in and help Vanity who is left injured (2)
Janus defeated Pegasus with GORDION KNOT. Very interesting. Alpha Force originally billed to face Janus but a late change sees Pegasus replace him. Media storm over what is going on and even concerns that Alpha Force’s old problems are back to haunt him. Omega doesn’t want to say too much but assures everyone that is not the case and he is grateful to Pegasus for stepping in at this late hour. Unfortunately Pegasus’s lack of ring sharpness hampers him and he plunged to defeat but it was evident that he was using a more heroic style of wrestling
Titan Fury just far too good for Crypt of Terror. Ram is finished with DAY OF THE DRAGON. Lots of eyes are now on Rising Sun. He was brilliant in this match and is starting to deliver on all his promise
Demons of Hydra beat the Enforcers after Wildcat falls into Darkos’s trap and gets counted out
Milky Way Falls Count Anywhere, Vyper pinned Mutant in the crowd. Mutant comes to the ring wearing a tag that says ‘GWF property’ and a database code. For those watching at home there is also a number coming up on screen for people to call if they want to adopt and care for it. You almost feel sorry for it until it starts to wrestle. All it’s disgusting and violent traits are on display in a match made for it. Mutant is able to run Vyper much closer than it ordinarily would and the action goes everywhere even though it still eventually loses
Doomsayer works hard to beat Dreggs with FUTURESHOCK. Splatter makes sure the event is off to a dramatic and bloody start as he then greets Doomsayer with a lottery attack using not only Arsenal but also event props such as skulls. Doomsayer resigned to what is going to happen seems to accept his fate and goes down under a series of blows. Dreggs gets out of there as soon as he can. There is very little sympathy for Doomsayer who suffers a two minute beating which is enough to leave him bloody and hardly moving.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2100 CARDS 661 - 664)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Spike (Top Contender: Matador of M83) * GWF Tag Champs: Brute and Massacre (Top Contenders: Thunder and Overkill) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Ursa Major (Top Contender: Vengeance)
Latest News:
COSMOCRUNCH dropped as GWF title sponsor as it is linked with obesity. Not helped by Cycle Hog carrying a box of it everywhere he goes. Despite the loss of $$$ income this will cause Commissioner Carter is trying to clean things up before he departs his role. He wants to also stamp out bad things such as violent attacks although trying to deal with some of the characters within the GWF is easier said than done. For now he is warning harsh suspensions for any wrongdoings, “I will not go easy just because it’s my last few months. I have a responsibility to the fans and the new commissioner to leave the fed in a good state”. Chaos had another troubled month. Dealing with Splatter and the Matador has been draining. He was on an awful run. Losing to Max Shield, Spike, Splatter and the Matador since #656. FRIGHT NIGHT brought an upturn in fortunes as he got revenge on Splatter but things still not looking too great. What will his next move be? Some problems brewing in the Champions team? After competing well at Fright Night as a team Omega wants to reform Millenium in 2100 but Heracles refuses the request as he wants singles stardom (like his partner has achieved). This might be a problem as Omega is rumoured to be planning a big announcement that could push Heracles into the shadows. Also some difficulties for Colussus. He had almost got his confidence back only to be brutally decked by Splatter’s lottery after he had beaten Spike in a non-title match. The injuries were labelled as severe. Krakan referred to it as one of the most satisfying attacks he has had the pleasure to watch. Finally there were some raised eyebrows when Alpha Force missed his match with Janus. Why did Pegasus replace him? Omega is quick to point out that Alpha Force is doing fine and all his past physical problems are behind him. Morpheus stokes things up and says the Champions should be fined for doing this but challenges like this keep his own team on their toes and as shown they are capable of dealing with anything.
In fact Splatter is attacking victims left, right and centre. There is now a mounting injury list. Before he could be suspended for the attack on Colussus he went after Doomsayer and Ursa Major on the same card. The targeting of Doomsayer was just random but Krakan was keen to remind the Titans of their long running war and ordered it. Was another bloody moment and made all the more sinister by the fact it happened during an interview. Splatter normally sets the lottery up to happen directly after a match but now he could strike anytime and anywhere. Only Massif could break up the attack and took some some shots himself. An angry Massif says he will happily referee a Splatter match so he can show him who is boss. Maybe Krakan will think that is a risky idea though. Unfortunately GWF rules state titles must be defended once a month so unless Ursa Major doesn’t want to forfeit the belt he will have to drag himself out of his sickbed soon. The challenger will carry a huge advantage whoever it is deemed to be. The ironic thing is Splatter is ranked highly enough and could of been the opponent but with a suspension looming there is no way Commissioner Carter or the GWF championship committee will consider that match now. Vengeance is possibly the hot favourite to get the shot having been the previous champ and also beaten Ursa Major a few cards ago. Max Shield sniffing belt success after a solid debut year. He knows he needs to pay his dues and it might be a while before he can think about challenging for the top prize (Heavyweight belt) but there is no reason why he cannot stake a claim to the Interplanetary title currently held by Ursa Major. The only roadblock is that the GWF prefers not to book hero wrestlers against one another (especially in title matches) so he may have to wait until there is a title change before moving in. Special event coming up next. The Titans are most recognised for their contributions to tag team wrestling providing so many great teams down the years. In honour of this the GWF has asked them if they will host the TITAN TAG TROPHY. How will the new breed of Titan tag teams fare? The last time a special tag related event was hosted by the Titans back in 2096 the home teams didn’t fare too well so will be hoping for better this time.
CIVIL WAR WATCH ... OMG! Thunder and Overkill have been named top contenders to the tag belts. Everyone is salivating. What will the special stipulations be? Thakur refuses fo reveal until just minutes before the match takes place. It almost overshadows everything that’s happened this month but let’s just say the Legends badly needed their six man tag win on the last event. They had been dominated by the Vanguard up until then with Wolf’s embarrassing sub one minute loss to Mayhem being the most crushing blow. Still no idea which team Thakur is most impressed by or how the secretive scoring is going.
WHOSE HOT ... Rising Sun, Matador of M83, Dynamo, Colussus, Mayhem, Thunder, Brute and Massacre WHOSE NOT ... Chaos, Dreadnaught, Alpha Force, Wolf, Spike, Bishop Hell, The Enforcers INJURED – Vanity (2); Doomsayer (8); Ursa Major, Colussus (both 9); SUSPENDED – none
Wrestler of the Month: RISING SUN – Keep a lookout for this guy. After a nervous beginning in the GWF everything clicked this month. He was outstanding in all his matches. Great things are expected of him in the future.
Tag Team of the Month: BRUTE AND MASSACRE – Another award as they see off the title challenge of the Mercenaries and are then instrumental in the FRIGHT NIGHT main event and rescue a difficult month for the Legends team.

Card 665 – TITAN TAG TROPHY – Titan Sportatorium:
(6 teams split into two groups wrestling Titan Death matches. With the winner of each group facing off for the trophy. The Titans want the best of the best competing and invite both Gladiator tag teams to compete but Thakur delivers a remarkable snub. He will not allow his Gladiator tag teams to compete in a meaningless second rate tournament. The field is pretty thin as two hero teams, two villain teams and two teams considered independent are required. Sadly Titan Wrestling are not entering due to Ursa Major’s injury. Trainer Jim is confident Titan Fury can pick up the baton “it’s their time to shine”) Round Robin Group A:
The Mercenaries beat Titan Fury narrowly. It’s an opening match that will really take it out of both teams. Unfortunately it’s the home fans that are disappointed as the Mercenaries really rough Dragonmaster up outside the ring and then initiate OPERATION: AMBUSH. It’ll take a miracle to get the Titans through now
Superiority Complex won against Titan Fury. The Citadel team is so much fresher and dominate from start to finish. BAD ATTITUDE gets Dragonmaster. It’s been a lousy tournament for Titan Fury but the home crowd still gives them an ovation. The draw has not been kind to them
The Mercenaries crush Superiority Complex in the decider. Mercenaries waste no time tearing into Superiority Complex and don’t need long to pin Skinhead following OPERATION: AMBUSH. Now hot favourites to take the Gold trophy having won the group of death. Superiority Complex arrogantly proclaim the draw favoured the Mercenaries and they were setup to fail!
Round Robin Group B:
New Order overcome the Henchmen but only just. The Henchmen close to a stunning upset as Mace suffers in THUMBSCREW and then almost gets blown away with GUIDED MISSILE. Dreggs is the saviour for his team staging a fight back that eventually culminates in Dreadnaught being pinned after THE HOLOCAUST (+4)
Demons of Hydra beat the Henchmen in the most one-sides bout so far. Even though the effectiveness of their switch is nullified the Demons leave the Henchmen floundering with dizzying moves. They will take particular satisfaction that the winning move THE FINAL ORACLE comes against Marcel de Sade
New Order march into the final after beating the Demons of Hydra. Dreggs again starring as he leaves Hydra squealing in TWIST AND SHOUT
Bronze Trophy Match:
Superiority Complex against Demons of Hydra match gets abandoned. Neither team can be bothered. They wrestle for about 10 minutes with neither team particularly offering much and then agree to walk off. Morpheus and Darkos defend the decision with the excuse being that there are big matches ahead and continuing past the agreed time limit was a waste of energy. The Titan promoter calls claim of a time expiry nonsense and decides to award the trophy to Titan Fury instead
Golden Trophy Match:
The Mercenaries won the tournament as they gun down New Order. Soldier of Fortune pinned Mace after Vigilante Destroyer. The Mercenaries then draw heat by disrespecting the trophy and breaking it into pieces in the ring and tossing their medals. New Order decide to make them pay for their actions by grabbing a couple of chairs and cleaning them out the ring. The Titan crowd gives them a good reception and Mace enjoys the attention. He picks up one of the medals and wears it in a symbolic moment of triumph. The tournament has gone well for New Order and gives them a platform to kick on from.

Card 666 – Regulus Civic Stadium:
Vengeance defeats Ursa Major to become IP champ. Vengeance had continued to chase this ‘unimportant belt’ just to show Aethran supremacy. The Gladiator belt sweep is now finally complete (2 on the Legends side and 1 for the Vanguard). Ursa Major was still in pain and didn’t really have a prayer. He tries his best but soon starts to feel his injuries. He can barely use the ropes without wincing. Even when he attempts to break Vengeance’s flow by rolling out of the ring Thrash is there to toss him back. Trainer Jim gives as much encouragement and instruction as he can but ultimately Ursa Major crumbles under all the pressure. After toying with his victim for a short while Vengeance fires off LETHAL CATAPULT and pins Ursa Major with one finger
Star Warrior beat Death’s Head by DQ. A win is a win but Star Warrior is frustrated it’s not a clean pin fall. He was on fire in the match and really putting on a show. The sadistic style of Death’s Head had no answer. There had been a few near falls before Star Warrior went for COSMIC BIG BANG. Surely this would do the job now as Death’s Head had taken too much punishment. Unable to accept that Death’s Head could possibly lose to an old vet like this Cannibal springs onto the apron. He draws the referee in for an argument and tried to drop in the sharpened bone or tooth of some kind. Death’s Head crawls to grab it but the referee catches sight out the corner of his eye and signals to the timekeeper to ring the bell. Death’s Head still picks the tooth up and lunges at Star Warrior to try and draw blood but is still too groggy and gets levelled with a high kick. Cannibal comes under the ropes in response and goes for Star Warrior too but is dealt with in similar spectacular fashion
Raven overcomes Splatter. Like all WAR members Raven is trying to put the team back on the map. He takes it on himself to challenge Splatter and punish him for all the lottery attacks that he has carried out lately. The pace is frenetic and can really sense Raven has a point to prove. Splatter knows he cannot outwrestle Raven and keeps looking to drag the match out of the ring and start a brawl. Eventually he succeeds and Raven ends up being slammed across the ring announcer’s table. Despite looking a bit worse for wear and having to hobble away Raven is pleased to hear he still won the match albeit by DQ
Bishop Hell and Crypt of Terror beat Thantos and the Henchmen. Mere days after facing off against them Thantos is now back to teaming with the Henchmen. The Brotherhood trio are without the Overlord. Amid all their bickering (this time over who starts the match off) he gets too stressed and goes off to find a ‘happy place’. He should of hung around as he’d of been pleased with the result. Bishop Hell subjects Dreadnaught to more misery after falling him with FLYING CROSS
New Order defeat Flamboyance after Dreggs uses TWIST AND SHOUT on Killer Queen. Flamboyance looking far from flamboyant and making some kind of protest before, during and after about money
Quasar easily beats Monad thanks to HIGH ROLLER. Usual story from Monad. Unless it starts on the front foot things are always a struggle. Quasar knows this and makes sure to get going quickly. Doomsayer’s creation has no answer and surrenders the match weakly.
NEWS – SPLATTER SUSPENSION VERDICT – Did Commissioner Carter go far enough? Having made a big thing of not tolerating violent attacks many think Splatter may of got of lightly with only a 4 card suspension. He has inflicted multiple injuries with Doomsayer, Ursa Major and Colussus all being targeted. Carter says that it has been difficult to impose a longer match ban due to the switchover in Commissioner’s. His hands have been tied as he now has less power than he used to and some people on the discpilnary panel are keen to keep the action flowing and not carry suspensions over into 2101. Whilst Splatter slips through a proverbial loophole and the suspension is light the fines that go with it were not. Carter was able to hit the Hitmen in the pocket hard and the undisclosed fine is rumoured to one of the largest in GWF history wiping out literally all Krakan’s earnings from Hitman contracts over the past year.

Card 667 - Regulus Civic Stadium:
(Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … Demons of Hydra ... Not much to speak of. Demons doing some bragging about how they are the top team in the fed but keep being denied title opportunities. They vow that 2101 will be a big year for them and plan to keep wearing their masks to keep opponents guessing. Demon taunts “the next time a switch happens. It’ll be a title switch!” ... After they leave set Johnny summarises and then starts to dig by suggesting that maybe the Demons of Hydra should lower their expectations and if the GWF ever introduces an IP tag division compete for that instead)
Hydra Lumberjack match, Brute and Massacre beat Thunder and Overkill to remain tag champs. Ever since we learned Thunder and Overkill were the top contenders the build up has been crazy. Forget all else this could be the most critical Civil War match yet. Thakur’s ruling that it is a Lumberjack match adds an incredible unpredictable swerve to things. Remarkably nobody ever ends up out of the ring. The action remains inside at all times. Overkill is immense in the match and rules the roost but experience counts for a lot. Brute and Massacre reverse a pinning attempt and it puts them on top. It’s still a surprise when Massacre then gets Overkill with THE CLEANSING. He may well of been struck with brass knuckles shortly before but no evidence of the weapon was ever found and motion replays didn’t pick anything up. The lumberjacks might not of been directly in the tussle but as the bell brings about the end they then all decided to give the crowd it’s money worth and have a good old fashioned brawl inside the ring
Hydra beat Wildcat by DQ. Not Wildcat’s best night. Largely under the cosh and then penalised for trying to engage Demon (at ringside) in a pointless fist fight
Kati pinned Darkos after SAMOAN REVENGE. Kati is spurred on by comments of Vyper that had suggested he is not pulling his weight or a useful member of the Savage Kingdom. It’s a positive response but he did have to work hard against the ageing Darkos needing several tokens to put him down for good
Cosmic Cage match, US. Patriot escapes against Dreadnaught. Heated clash, they never got along when Dreadnaught was part of the FDF. Adam always said Dreadnaught wasn’t a team player and it was not a successful move. He aims to punish him inside the cage and delivers on his promise. Dreadnaught just not able to live with Adam’s pace and floored with FREEDOM FLYER
Titan Fury back in the groove and needing just three moves to beat Generation X. Metalhead being finished off with DAY OF THE DRAGON
Justice pinned Draconian Sheik via SHOCK PROBATION. The action on the outside between the managers is almost as captivating as what goes on inside the ring. Sam angered by Cannibal’s constant attacking of Justice anytime he was outside decides to take matters into his own hands. He rolls back the years as he comes up behind an unsuspecting Cannibal and nails him with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP.

Card 668 – NETWORK DEIMOS WRESTLING – Deimos Intergalactic Arena: Matador of M83 beat Spike to win the Heavyweight strap. Classic match between two of the greatest stars in GWF history. Spike missing lots of moves like leg and elbow drops as the Matador uses his wits and agility to avoid them. It doesn’t stop Spike getting enough momentum to hit MEGADESTROYER. Remarkably the Matador gets his foot on a rope. Spike pays for being arrogant and failing to grab a leg whilst covering. Thinking it will be easy from this point on with the damage caused Spike is given a rude shock as he finds the Matador is still going toe to toe with him. In fact the tide is slowly turning towards the Matador. The end is still a few minutes away but when it comes it shows the sharp thinking of the Matador. Spike charges him but is met with a Running Torpedo. It’s the setup for BULLWHIP. Like all good wrestlers Matador hooks the leg and leans into the subsequent pin attempt. Spike kicks out but it’s a second too late and the belt switches hands. The Matador ends 2100 on a high and with the late run of domination is looking a strong candidate to win another Wrestler of the Year award. The most valuable free agent ever, question is ... Where will he end up next year?
Alpha Force and Max Shield beat Mandrill and Bishop Hell. Mandrill says he will relinquish the Colonizer belt if he is pinned in the match. Bishop Hell was a willing partner as he tries to muscle in being part of bigger feuds. Mandrill tells the Occult Overlord he will not be welcome at ringside to manage the team. They probably could of done with him as the hero team is triumphant. Alpha Force having fantastic battles with both Bishop Hell and Mandrill. He is the one to win it as he pinned Mandrill following TOMAHAWK THRUST. Not to underplay the role Max Shield played as he gave some telling contributions throughout and at this moment in time clearly has the measure of his big rival, Mandrill. The fate of the Colonizer belt is uncertain as Mandrill then refuses to hand it over stating only if Max had pinned him would he of handed it over. He and Alpha Force end up grappling over it, up the runway and out of sight
Vengeance beats Massacre by DQ in a non-title match. Both spend unnecessary amount of time flaunting their respective belts (IP and Tag) before getting down to the business at hand. It is not a quick match but I don’t recall Massacre being on offence at any point. Cannot remember if this has happened before in such a long grapple. I imagined the bout to have a lot of psychological warfare and very little action
Gamemasters and Millenium defeat Superiority Complex and Generation X in a best of three match up. Heracles behaves strangely as he doesn’t offer his team much help (other than a brief run in the first fall against Metalhead where he failed to pin him after OLYMPIA). He also appears to be having a heated discussion with Thantos on the ring apron. Things go from bad to worse when Metalhead beats Colussus by DQ; Next fall is all about the Gamemasters and Superiority Complex. Star Warrior begins a turnaround by pinning Skinhead via COSMIC BIG BANG; Star Warrior also heavily involved in the deciding fall. Looks like he is done for after THE PERFECT TAG FINISHER but Thantos isn’t about to lie down and accept it. Despite Heracles appearing to try and hold him back (perhaps worried about a possible DQ) Thantos storms in and rescues his partner. Star Warrior makes the most of his second chance and it looks like COSMIC BIG BANG will do the job again, this time on Prodigy. Before the ref can slide in to pound the mat Skinhead grabs Grunge’s guitar and breaks it over Star Warrior’s back leading to the DQ. It’s a good victory for the Champions team but things don’t go well for Colussus who wrestles with an injury and aggravates his damaged shoulder. He now faces an uphill task to be fit for the upcoming PPV
Cage match, Soldier of Fortune beat Darkos (trying to remember if there is any past heat here to explain why I booked it but drawing a blank). Soldier of Fortune dominant but slow and laborious and struggles to put Darkos away. Almost comes back to bite him as Darkos finally wakes up. A run which included FINAL CURTAIN three times fails to yield victory. Controversially Darkos tried to escape via the door only to find it locked. He didn’t realise the finer details meant only escaping over the top was a viable option. The time wasted wrestling with the door and complaining to officials outside costs him. Soldier of Fortune recovers and smashes him straight into the door from behind. Now back in complete control Soldier of Fortune marches to the win after THE REVENGER
In a Titan Death match Sam’s Squadron is too well drilled for the Pillars of Power. Dynamo’s confidence was riding high after his recent destruction of Vanity but he is soon brought crashing back down. Justice absolutely obliterates him with SHOCK PROBATION (+5) to chalk another one up for Sam’s boys
Raven beat Killer Queen with BROADSWORD. He cuts Maxine Babe a frosty glance. Her theatrics during the match going beyond annoying
Mesmer proves to be a thorn in the side of Quasar. The Master of the Black Arts is really on it and gives Quasar very little respite. EVIL EYE (although it needs three of them) sends Quasar into a trance long enough to pull off this upset.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2100 CARDS 665 - 668)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Matador of M83 (Top Contender: Raven) * GWF Tag Champs: Brute and Massacre (Top Contenders: Superiority Complex) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Vengeance (Top Contender: Quasar)
Latest News:
Vanity is kicking up a fuss over how much Flamboyance are being paid to perform. He and Killer Queen turned up at #666 wearing moth eaten clothing to prove a point. Their opponents on the night were New Order and Dreggs came to their rescue calling out for a whip round and going round with a bucket to raise funds to help them. Then when the match arrived he offered it to Vanity. Sensing that it’s a prank and setup to ridicule him Vanity scoffs and turns to walk away. Seconds the later the bucket comes crashing down on his head. Vanity is seeing stars as the action gets underway. Could this be the start of an undercard feud or do the New Order seek more high profile action now the results are improving? Managers circling round the Matador. He has the Heavyweight belt and is the hottest free agent in sports history. Darkos claims he has a watertight contract with him to join the Masked Assassins. Doomsayer has also been busy whilst injured. Appearing on a show with bandages still on his head he claims to have held talks with him and that apparently the Matador is very interested in the TRANSEVOLVER and what it could do for him. Everybody is checking the Matador’s Spacebook page in case he posts something. There is a lot of excitement when a comment does go up but it turns out only to be comment about the Superiority Complex. He does something unusual and praises their talent but urges them to ditch the Citadel and come out from the shadow of Chaos and Janus. Up and coming reporter Qualitar finds out who the new Commissioner is but is sworn to secrecy. The GWF wants to make a big reveal. Johnny Rocket is in a rage over it and demands to be told. He ends up by cautioned by police for threatening Qualitar with violence if he doesn’t share his big scoop.
Cycle Hog’s bike is off the road! It collapsed under his immense weight at a dark card when he was riding it down the runway to the ring. He is saving for a new bike but managed to salvage the food hamper from the back of it and the handlebar. On the next show he waddled to the ring holding the handlebar and proceeded to use it as a weapon. Taking a leaf out of Splatter’s book he has named his new weapon. It is called ‘Horace the Handlebar’ and he will not hesitate to use Horace to keep his opponents in line. During a promo that involved him scoffing a chicken pie he gurgled “anyone who takes the mickey out of my weight will get a bash from Horace”.
Colussus is busting a gut to be fully recovered for EXTREME ELIMINATION EVENT. Having endured a difficult year he was just beginning to put together a hot streak of form when Splatter battered him. He knows how important it is he steps up to the plate and helps the Champions team. They have been in the shadows of both the Citadel and the Gladiators for too long.
The unpopular Colonizer belt is still in possession of Mandrill. He is still appearing in promos wearing it and Alpha Force hasn’t mentioned it since. The GWF continues to be unimpressed with Mandrill’s behaviour and are busy investigating ways to try and remove it from their broadcasting.
Voting has been taking place throughout the year for the WRESTLER and TAG TEAM OF THE CENTURY awards. Controversially wrestlers from before the code was broken are not considered (at the insistence of parent company Galactic Champions Inc). The results are in and they may shock you. Superiority Complex win the tag team award. This is the biggest surprise but probably the perfect showcase of a tag team. Average singles wrestlers at best but together so much greater than the sum of their parts. Multiple tag titles and OTB successes give them a trophy cabinet few can rival. In the singles category Thantos is honoured just beating off the likes of the Matador, Chaos, Wolf, Spike and Star Warrior. The man behind the most important moment of the GWF that defines the way wrestling is today with the hero and villain teams. Of course he backed it up with incredible talent and was not short on charisma. CIVIL WAR WATCH ... The big burning issue in the GWF is who is in the lead going into this final month. Will Wolf’s penalty points cost the Legends? Has Spike dropping the main belt angered Thakur? How will Thunder and Overkill losing the Lumberjack match with Brute and Massacre will reflect on the Vanguard? Is the war close enough to make the last matches critical?
WHOSE HOT … Matador of M83 , Alpha Force, Vengeance, Star Warrior, New Order, Mercenaries WHOSE NOT ... Spike, Mandrill, Heracles, Darkos, Monad, Titan Fury, Thunder and Overkill INJURED – Doomsayer (4); Ursa Major, Colussus (both 5); SUSPENDED – Splatter (2)
Wrestler of the Month: MATADOR OF M83 - the cream always rises to the top. Nuff said!
Tag Team of the Month: NEW ORDER - Hit rock bottom but on the way back up now.

DARK MATCHES … (Ceres Amphitheater)
Holocaust pinned Killer Queen following SHOCKWAVE. Lots of fanciful moves from Queenie but no lasting impact. Holocaust takes a while to grow into the match but once he gets into his rhythm Queenie stands no chance
The Gamemasters in total control against the Zodiac. Star Warrior gets annoyed that interfering kept stifling his COSMIC BIG BANG having used it against both Mesmer and Gemini. The Gamemasters step it up and Gemini is the unfortunate one that gets finished with ENDGAME
Vanity beats Pollux with LADIES CHOICE. It’s all done within just two moves. Impressive but Vanity acts like he has pulled off one of the greatest achievments in history. Seems to forget that he was wrestling Pollux who is quite possibly the worst wrestler ever to of been part of the roster
Generation X play their hits on the Enforcers. Both Stalker and Wildcat get a personal performance of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. It’s only when it hits Wildcat that it spells defeat. Wildcat had a particulary bad night as not only was he the one getting pinned but he also missed WILDCAT STRIKE thus spurning a good opportunity
Quasar beat Marcel de Sade with HIGH ROLLER. Tough match for Quasar. He started at a high tempo as he searched for a quick win but found de Sade a stubborn opponent. In fact it was that troublesome for Quasar that he even found himself in THUMBSCREW for an uncomfortable amount of time. Luckily Quasar found his feet again. That was much harder work than expected
Draconian Sheik pinned Jack of Diamonds. A distraction from Cannibal allowing Drac to attack from behind. Jack had already been opened up due to Drac’s frequent use of a sharpened object. Cries in the aftermath that Drac got away with too much in the this one and should have been disqualified several times over.
DARK MATCHES … (Mimas Spectrum)
CIVIL WAR matches
Thunder and Overkill beat Brute and Massacre by DQ. No sign of the belts as this as pure Gladiator action with no distractions. Brute gives Thunder a torrid time early on and even uses BRUTE FORCE. The Vanguard duo is able to fightback and are in the ascendancy when Massacre decides to try and set light to Thunder’s hair with his cigar lighter. The horrified referee (who had been quite tolerant of all the violence to this point) instantly signals for the bell to be rung
Vengeance defeated Wolf by DQ. Wolf ends up outside and doesn’t take kindly to Thrash trying to stomp on his head as he rolls near her. He gets up and motions to grab her in his claw. The referee comes between them but Wolf just brushes him powerfully to one side (it was at this point the DQ happened). Overkill is only behind the curtain at the end of the runway awaiting his own match in the main event. He sees the action on a video screen and within seconds is down at ringside. With great power he resists Wolf’s attempts to attack and presses him clean above his head before dropping him. Wolf is consumed with rage but quickly realises he is outnumbered and under threat of weapons. With Vengeance waving a sharp object towards him Wolf angrily leaves kicking over anything that gets in his way
Amazonia keeps her good record up against Thrash with AMAZON ATTACK providing the winning platform
Other matches
Pharaoh Khety beats Max Shield in a result that sends shockwaves through the GWF once the news of this dark card breaks. Max is all over the place and despite warning signs in the early stages never gets his act together. CURSE OF KHETY is the move that is reported to of stopped Max in his tracks. Rumours that Max wrestled with a fever but he refuses to use that an excuse
The Zodiac defeat Sam’s Squadron. US. Patriot resumes hostilities with his old partner in tag action. He is left wondering where it went wrong tonight as the Zodiac deal them a crushing loss. First up Gemini brushes off Adam’s attempt at SAM’S ATOMIC DROP. Then Mesmer (who is hot at the moment) completely wipes the floor with Adam and pins him with EVIL EYE
Raven wins the hero battle with Wildcat. Two popular stars in action. Raven likes Wildcat’s style and youthful zeal and wants to give him a match in the spotlight. But he doesn’t go easy on him and certainly doesn’t see this as a match to put him over. Instead Raven offers a quick handshake and then gets serious. Wildcat gives a great shot. He rocks Raven with some spectacular moves coming off the ropes and briefly threatens an upset before experience takes over. It’s still not easy for Raven, he needs BLADERUNNER and BROADSWORD (twice) before he can put Wildcat down. Raven acknowledges the fine effort given by Wildcat and hugs him at the end.

Card 669 – EXTREME ELIMINATION EVENT – Rigel Nova Pavillion:
(11 matches all with special stipulations. Matches randomised. Heroes pitted against villains. The winning wrestlers all invited back into the ring for a final Battle Royal to find an outright winner … tokens all carrying over and into the main event, listed in parenthesis -SIDENOTE- I do like gimmick events and have tried a few but sometimes the matches are hard to run, require a lot of brain power, tracking etc so they are not too much fun but I loved playing this one out. I think this is a keeper!) TITAN DEATH … Spike scrapes a victory against Ram. Wrestling as if he has point to prove Ram goes hell for leather against Spike. He goes at Spike like a freight train with RAM’S CHARGE. Shame he still can’t time it very well as it missed twice. It ends up costing him as Spike is able to fight his way back and nail MEGADESTROYER. Aftermath, Ram feels like he has been thrown under the bus as his manager criticised his poor showing at the event and bringing shame upon the Brotherhood. All this despite wrestling a great match and coming close to upsetting Spike (2)
COSMIC CAGE … US. Patriot defeated rival Powerhouse. It’s not a match type either man excels in but Adam makes it look relatively simple. He fires a Running Rocket Shot and Powerhouse is far too ponderous to prevent Adam from getting out the cage (0)
HYDRA LUMBERJACK … Holocaust pours more pressure on Chaos with a shock win. Chaos never at ease during the clash. He almost loses early as Holocaust jolts him with SHOCKWAVE. Only the timely interventions of Superiority Complex pulling Holocaust up saves him. Everyone expecting Chaos to heed the warning and start to batter Holocaust but that couldn’t of been further from the truth. He later finds himself on the end of an explosive clothesline and looks cooked. New Order are keen to make their mark on the event even though they are not wrestling. They stop Superiority Complex in their tracks whilst Raven and Destructon 3000 are on top of Janus and Morpheus. With nobody there to help, Chaos cannot muster the energy to haul Holocaust off him and is eliminated from the event (1)
LEPUS STUN ROD … Monad gets the better of Max Shield. Max is reeling from a recent embarrassing loss to Pharaoh Khety but seems to be over it by the way he starts the match. It looks like he’s got it in the bag as he is a dab hand with the Stun Rod using it several times to great effect. Then suddenly he swings it at Monad but on this occasion it’s extra arms manage to block it. The rod falls to the floor and the extra limbs allows Monad to grab it first. Then gives a powerful swing that catches Max right in the neck. It knocks the stuffing out of Max and he struggles to stay alive in the match now. Monad rattles his brain with DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE a couple of times and Max has to be admired for somehow kicking out of the pin each time but then Monad ups the ante and grabs QUADRUPLE CLAMP. Max has no chance and surrenders (1)
BARBED WIRE CAGE … Draconian Sheik goes over Dreadnaught in the most brutal match so far. Dreadnaught knows the odds are stacked against him but decides to just go for it. An opening salvo that draws a crowd cheer sees him stick three tokens on Drac and unleash GUIDED MISSILE. Sadly it’s not enough. Drac relies on animal instinct and fights his way back. Blood is drawn using the barbs and he beats Dreadnaught through a combination of wild tactics and DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. Too much blood loss suffered by Dreadnaught needs him needing to receive urgent medical treatment (3)
REGULAR … Mayhem defeated Rising Sun by count-out. Trainer Jim sends Rising Sun into the firing line as the Titan rep and trying to show faith in the new recruit. Rising Sun does him proud. Despite his underdog label he matches Mayhem for aggression and no sells DANGER ZONE twice. Perhaps another upset in the air but then Mayhem gets away with smashing him with a chain on the outside. Trainer Jim cannot believe the ref has either missed it or just chosen to let it go. Either way it’s an injustice and Rising Sun can’t make it back to the ring to beat the count (1)
TORTURE CHAMBER … Mandrill manages to outlast Wolf. Mandrill uses VOLTAIC STUNNER early thinking it’ll slow Wolf down. He is very much mistaken as Wolf loves the Chamber and battles away in his own inimitable style. Mandrill then gets muzzled with SAVAGE FACE CLAW (first loss). Trying to see that move and raise it Mandrill goes for Colonizer Claw Grip but finds the hold prised away. It has taken it’s toll though and now gives Mandrill a chance in the match and VOLTAIC STUNNER a second time leaves Wolf in bad shape (second fall). Mandrill then goes for Colonizer Claw Grip again and this time really sinks it in (third fall). Shortly after MUTANT MAULER causes Wolf to collapse at Mandrill’s feet and it’s all over. Many of the crowd are heartbroken (3)
BRASS KNUCKLES … Bishop Hell destroys Exo-King. Absolutely nothing from Exo-King here. A Bishop Blast is what causes his legs to buckle but he was nailed with the glove countless times as well as getting blasted with HELLFIRE and FLYING CROSS multiple times. Exo-King reaches a PIN rating of 10 without laying a glove on Bishop Hell. Excuse the pun (0)
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE … Raven pinned Enigma. Raven had bad memories of coming up against Enigma. It starts as if he is going to get another one as Enigma flies into action peppering him with death defying attacks. But when the action goes outside the ring it’s a different story. Raven turns the tables (quite literally) and then wins after suplexing Enigma into some seats. He leaves Enigma sparked out amongst the crowd. One of the fans removes his mask and puts it on intending to keep it as a souvenir (2)
HITMAN … Matador of M83 defeated Alpha Force in one of the most dominant performances of the night. He is looking untouchable again. Lord knows what goes in these Hitman bags when there is no money involved. Nonetheless the Matador upon grabbing it then opened it up to look at the contents and seemed pretty pleased with what he got (0)
SPECIAL REF MASSIF … Janus coasts to victory over Vyper. Massif accepting no nonsense and stopping anything that could lead to any outside brawling. The restraint seems to help Janus as it means Vyper cannot easily bail out under pressure. He soon finds himself wrapped up in GORDION KNOT and eliminated (0). MAIN EVENT BATTLE ROYAL featuring … Spike (2); US. Patriot (0); Holocaust (1); Monad (1); Draconian Sheik (3); Mayhem (1); Mandrill (3); Bishop Hell (0); Raven (2); Matador of M83 (0); Janus (0)
Dramatic early action with US. Patriot heavily involved. He nearly goes out after Spike’s MEGADESTROYER. Monad soon takes on the mantle of beating Adam up looking to make him the first elimination. In it’s haste it charges Adam who is slumped by a turnbuckle trying to clear his head. Adam moves out the way just in time and Monad goes tumbling over the top and out the of the match; Incredibly moments later the same happens to Holocaust. Showing there are no friends in these circumstances he stands over Adam in the same spot but gets too high. Adam manages to hoist him up and over; Bishop Hell finds himself in trouble. Draconian Sheik and Mandrill taking it in turns to pound him. Drac seems confused on what to do so Mandrill makes the move to toss Bishop Hell out and succeeds. Drac immediately turns on Mandrill and they start to grapple; Next to go is the Matador. He makes the mistake of muscling in on Raven and Janus battling. Having just seen Raven use BLADERUNNER he tries to steal the glory and eliminate Janus. It backfired as Janus counters his attack and clamps GORDION KNOT. All the other guys are having their own battles and show no interest on pouncing on them. Janus is free to keep the hold on and it weakens Matador. He is then easy pickings to be thrown from the ring. The hot favourite is out!; Raven ousts Draconian Sheik after BROADSWORD and BLADERUNNER in quick succession. The brutality of Drac’s earlier match to qualify for the main event has taken it’s toll; Raven is flying as moves onto Spike and gets the huge Gladiator with BROADSWORD; It’s Raven again as he wipes the arrogant smile off Janus’s face. A Vulture Dive makes Janus wobble and Raven pushes him towards the rope. US. Patriot works with Raven by pulling the top rope down to help Janus on his way; Down to the final four now. All randomly attacking at first but then the heroes group together against the two villains, Mayhem and Mandrill. The two villains are less willing to work together. Despite this they soon outnumber the heroes as Mayhem dumps US. Patriot after avoiding a flying leap. The impact stuns Adam who is scooped up and eliminated; Whatever happens now Raven is the star of the show. A long battle ends with him managing to get Mayhem out. Mandrill shows his true colours by helping Mayhem on his way. Nice surprise waiting for Mayhem once outside. Wolf was raging that he is not part of the match. The crowd cheers as he had earlier come to the side of the ring and threatening to attack anyone who is thrown out of the ring. Ringside officials trying to send him away but Wolf is having none of it and even flings a couple of them off him when they come too close. During his tenure he attacked Draconian Sheik and the Matador but he saves his SAVAGE FACE CLAW for Mayhem. He leaves Mayhem in a bloody heap and then looks towards the ring. It must of been crossing his mind to go after Mandrill but then he seems to decide he has done enough. Let’s out a huge howl and sprints back up the runway; Mandrill wins! Heartbreak for Raven but he looks shattered. He tries to take it Mandrill but is soon overpowered. Mandrill has been clever by staying out of as much action as possible. He subjects Raven to MUTANT MAULER and VOLTAIC STUNNER. Not long after this he bundles Raven to the floor. It’s not pretty but it gets the job done. Amazingly it’s the only the second elimination Mandrill is responsible for (showing how prepared he was to let others do the work). Mandrill flaunts the win and shouts that he is ready to takeover the GWF. INJURIES SUSTAINED … Wolf (1); Dreadnaught (5)

***NEWS BULLETINS***
*Pegasus confirms that he will rejoin the roster full time in 2101 and has a big surprise in store. *Wolf is in the Christmas spirit cutting promos dressed as Santa and ready to give his opponents a special gift from his sack. *Tensions inside the Savage Kingdom. Kati and Vyper struggling to get along and winding each other up over social media. *Regular updates on Pulsar Prime have been happening throughout the year. The latest is a positive one as he may be ready for a comeback soon.
Card 670 – Rigel Nova Pavillion:
(Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad ... Titan Fury ... Rising Sun reflects on an inconsistent year and believes with the experience gained they will be a force in 2101. Johnny asks some questions about Pulsar Prime to which he responds “honestly I don’t know. I haven’t had a chance to get to know him as he was already receiving treatment when I joined. I hope we can be friends when he returns. Jim speaks with him most days and as I understand he may be ready to comeback soon”. Dragonmaster soon joins him on the couch and says that Rising Sun is right about Pulsar Prime but admits there are some issues being worked out. Johnny’s ears prick and he instantly thinks maybe Pulsar Prime could be heading towards a similar fate to Dragonmaster when he flipped out and became Pit Viper. Before he can probe the issue an unwelcome arrival strolls onto set. It’s Ram and he wants to make a name for himself. Desperate to prove his worth in the Brotherhood he calls both Titan Fury members to take on Crypt of Terror on the spot in a special match. He thinks Pharaoh Khety is behind him but later learns that the Occult Overlord held him back. He is so hyped up that when he realises he is alone it doesn’t stop him. Rising Sun looks to bargain and tells Ram the Titans are honourable men and would not gang up on him. There is a time and place to wrestle and that is in the ring in an officially booked match. Ram is still refusing to back down. It doesn’t help that Johnny Rocket is encouraging him. A floating camera drifts near Ram’s head and he smashes it towards a wall. As the device impacts and crashes pathetically into the ground Ram grabs it as a weapon and steamrolls towards Rising Sun. He is quickly levelled with an acrobatic kick causing to him to fall backwards into Johnny’s table. Embarrassed and angered at being shown up Ram forces himself up clumsily and charges again. This time Rising Sun jumps out the way and does a spinning kick to the back of Ram’s head as he passes. The blow sends Ram tumbling off the stage and towards the crowd. He doesn’t get up so quickly now. The fall leaving him injured. At last realising things have gone badly Ram struggles to his feet and limps away. He looks so isolated and almost in tears. Dragonmaster apologises to the crowd but says they had no choice. Hopefully Ram will leave them alone now - 1 month/4 card injury to Ram)
Interplanetary champ, Vengeance, untroubled against Quasar. Douses an early flurry of Quasar offence without too much concern and then starts to wear him down. A violent slam right onto the concrete outside leaves Quasar seeing stars and barely able to slide back in to beat the count. It’s from the frying pan and into the fire though as Vengeance just finishes him off with LETHAL CATAPULT
Colonizer belt match, Vyper wins a thriller over Mandrill. So much going on, first Pharaoh Khety makes an unscheduled appearance offering to coach Mandrill. After a discussion with Mandrill he changes his mind and leaves. Khety has been bothering Mandrill too much for his own good. Basking in his unexpected recent success he wanted to offer Mandrill tips on how to beat Max Shield. He would do well to pipe down and not anger Mandrill who is surely going to emerge as one of the top GWF villains given time. The disturbance doesn’t help Mandrill as he is nowhere near the wrestler we saw at the recent EXTREME ELIMINATION EVENT. Vyper has also draped a snake over one of the turnbuckles and Mandrill keeps complaining and won’t go near the area. Vyper taunts that he is surprised by Mandrill’s fear given that he is such a snake himself. It’s a long match and Vyper sees VYPER’S SIDESHOW foiled twice. The second time it happens was dramatic as the referee got temporarily hurt and was not making the count. Vyper needed to revive him but whilst he did this Mandrill came up behind him and laid him out with VOLTAIC STUNNER. Both the ref and Vyper were down. The only saving grace for Vyper was that he couldn’t get pinned. Mandrill is still not able to capitalise as by the time the ref recovers so has Vyper. Driven by a rage to get what he deserved from the match Vyper gets a second wind and pummels Mandrill. A Predator Pounce sends Mandrill reeling and now on his fifth token there is no coming back. Vyper wins and he makes sure to take his prize which is the Colonizer belt as well as he pet snake, Spot, which has slithered down the turnbuckle and onto the Pavillion floor
Cage match, Massacre beat Overkill after THE CLEANSING. Overkill not mobile enough to be an effective singles cage wrestler. He should of won after squashing Massacre with TURNBUCKLE TRAP but just not fast enough escaping (this was over the top only) and gets pulled down. Massacre on the other hand is quick to seize on his opportunity. Bad night for Overkill and not a good time to bomb with the end of CIVIL WAR so close
Chaos pinned Terak. Terak feels the full force of Chaos’s anger
Sam’s Squadron defeated Pillars of Power. Full on action. Tokens all round. US. Patriot was choked and in MUSCLE RIPPER but still dug deep to come through with his second ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST on Powerhouse
Thantos too good for Mesmer. Very old mini feud harking back to 2088. Back then they were on opposing sides of the hero-villain divide. This time the roles are reversed. Mesmer is high on confidence having pinned both Quasar and US. Patriot recently but he finds Thantos is still packing a punch. He gets decked with a DDT and doesn’t dare try and kick out lest he be on the end of much worse to come.
