Bless you all for being so hopelessly optimistic. eh, I don't think the optimism is so hopeless. I think the WWE has made some great strides in the past year to better reach and engage its core audience in new ways. Excited to see what comes of all this. I agree with TM...seen enough since January to believe that (hopefully) Vince and Co. are looking at things a lot differently these days...

I'm not convinced at all that they can pull this off. Hopefully the two shows wind up being different and not just in terms of roster/what 'color' the show is. It'd be nice to see different stages for the shows and different products like in 02-03 where SmackDown was centered around wrestling and RAW was, well...RAW. Really hoping they do brand-specific PPVs again since it'd force them to give everyone some sort of storyline purpose. I don't see it happening, though.

Here's how I see the Network Specials (hardly anyone pays PPV prices anymore) happening after the draft.
If they stick with one WWE, Tag Team and Women's Championship for both shows the Specials would like something like this:
Main Event: WWE Champ v Raw/Smackdown challenger
Semi-Main (not nessiarily in this position) Other Show has a Number One Contenders Match for the next Special. (So if Raw has the match on Summerslam, this would be a Smackdown match - following special these would flip)
Women's and Tag Team would be treated the same - we are now at six matches for the Special
IC and US title matches
One feud match per show (these could double up as number one contender matches)
The above would be if they keep the current model of 12-14 WWE Specials a year.
They could always add more live event (network exclusive) shows to the next work as they see fit to give more people on both shows some extra exposure.
I'd also assign Superstars and Main Event to either Smackdown or Raw. That way both Raw and Smackdown can use those shows to feature under card talent.
