With the dawn of the colour era of Legends of Wrestling, I was really undecided as to whether or not I would play out a tournament this year. My B & W tournaments were always fun to play out and each year I continued to be blown away by the feedback/response on the message board. I remained on the fence until I received my colour legends introduction set shortly after Christmas. The quality was so good that I knew right way that I wanted to use the new cards in the tournament. However, I did not want to mix them with the B & W cards. I debated on using some the colour indy cards to fill out the tournament, particularly those with experience in “The Fed” (Rhino, Shelton Benjamin, Claudio Castagnoli etc) but that did not seem to be the exact fit. I actually set up a twenty four man tournament with the new set and CAC cards but that did not seem quite right. It was then I realized that if I picked up the Promoter Prime sets from the last two years I would be able to have a 32 man tournament. So this year a name change is in order. Instead of 64
B & W cards we are going to have 32 colour cards.
Welcome to the Legends 32 Man Tournament.
The action gets underway tomorrow with . . .
Lou Thesz (1) v. “Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan (32)
As always, please check with your local authorities prior to wagering but please feel free to make predictions along the way.

Thanks for the request walkswithwolf . In the first tournament, the semi-finals saw Killer Kowalski overcome Don Leo Jonathan and Bobo Brzil defeat Masked Superstar to advance to the finals were Bobo Brazil won the even pinning Kowalski with a backbreaker. In year two, Andre The Giant handled Terry Gordy in the first semi-finals while Nick Bockwinkel overcame Cowboy Bob Orton in a five star classic. The finals saw Bockwinkel gain the submission victory over Andre the Giant in what is still one of my favourite matches I have ever played out. Year three saw Terry Gordy again make it to the semi-finals only to be defeated by Road Warrior Hawk. In the other semi-final Greg Valentine defeated Harley Race via submission. Road Warrior Hawk made relatively short work of Valentine in the finals to claim the victory. In the fourth tournament, Sheri Martel had assisted Randy Savage in making it to the semi-finals but the relationship imploded when Martel cost Savage his match with Rikidozan by disqualification. In the other semi-final Antonio Inoki bested Giant Baba via submission to reach the finals where he also won via submission over a game Rikidozan. Inoki continues his incredible run in the fifth year with a stunning victory over Andre the Giant in the semi –finals while Mil Mascaras defeated Bruiser Brody in a rather one sided contest. Inoki won his second consecutive tournament with a convincing victory over Mascaras in the finals. Last year saw Tommy Rich dominate Blackjack Mulligan in one semi-final while George Hackenschmidt upset Lou Thesz in the other. In the finals, Hackenschmidt picked up a controversial disqualification victory to claim the prize.
