It is April 19th, correct? Wednesday, correct? 2017, right? Ok, got that much straight. Now, here's where I keep getting confused...Jinder Mahal is the #1 contender for the WWE World title? And AJ Styles is the #1 contender...for the US title?!?! That can't be right, can it?!?! What alternate reality have I fallen victim to?!?! Someone please help!!!

Part of me feels like whoever the head writer for SD is reads Twitter because that's the only explanation I've got.

I'm sure this is just a way to keep AJ Styles away from the title picture until SummerSlam where he will take on Orton for the belt. It also builds up Owens on the Blue Brand after his lackluster (in most fans eyes) run as Universal Champion on the Red Brand.
If I was a betting man I'd saw that the Smackdown matches at SummerSlam will look something like:
Randy Orton (WHC) v AJ Styles
Kevin Owens (USC) v Sami Zayn
Uso's (TAG) v New Day
Charlotte Flair (SWC) v Becky Lynch

Easy to explain. Last year WWE signed a multi year TV contract in India.

Easy to explain. Last year WWE signed a multi year TV contract in India. I think that's part of it. I think another part is that since they've got AJ vs. Kevin Owens brewing for the US title and they're afraid to pull the trigger on Baron Corbin as a main event heel, there aren't a lot of other options, especially since they've already ruined Dolph Ziggler as a main eventer.

There's still a few months until SummerSlam build really starts. They could get him where he needs to be by then.

Also it was mentioned on WOR that the program Jinder's getting might have been slated for Rusev before he got hurt.

as the Human Tornado said, maybe Randy Orton should have done a dive tonight
I picked Orton to retain but tonight when I saw Orton about to give the Singh brothers that double draping DDT as Mahal was recovering outside of the ring in the same camera shot at that point I knew Orton was about to lose the title.

I'm fine with it. Say what you want, it's going to be different. Now we just need hulk Hogan to come back drop a leg drop and become champion. That's what happened last time right?. I'm kidding. Sort of.
But holy shit is Nakamura over. That place blew up.
