Here is the kickoff of my WWF '85 Fed! Each match will have a tally to see if it matches up with the actual results IRL (in real life) ! Scoring System explaination is below. (Note: When tallying up the score at the end of a match, the term “Same” is a comparison between the real match and the one I played, with + 0 for if the match did not have the same result, and + 1 if the match did have the same result!
I'm using a mix of the first Official set of color cards mixed with Knapik's WWF '80s cards for this fed. I made up the rest of the missing cards but kept their official Rahl Ratings. A few cards, like the Briscos, needed to be scaled down to be used.
I hope everyone likes this stuff, it'll be fun to see how much plays out the same way it did in real life! BTW, sorry about how HUGE the pics are. I don't know how to make them appear smaller on this Board.
CARD 1: Hartford Civic Center – January 1, 1985
MATCH 1: Jose Luis Rivera VS "Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz
The first match of the card was about what you would expect from these two.
Jose Luis Rivera won when Rodz was DQed in a time of 15:15.
(Rodz won IRL, so the Tally for this match is Same + 0 for Match 1)
MATCH 2: "Mr USA" Tony Atlas VS Nikolai Volkoff
Volkoff started out by out-muscling Mr. USA and had four pin attempts, but then Atlas got his second wind and finished off the Russian with his Finisher.
Tony Atlas won with his Finisher-PRESS SLAM & SPLASH in a time of 17:30.
(A double-count-out IRL, so the Tally for this match is Same + 0 for Match 2)
MATCH 3: Salvatore Bellomo VS Charlie Fulton
This was not a match that too many fans looked forward to, and it ended fairly quickly.
Salvatore Bellomo won when Fulton was DQed in a time of 5:33.
(Bellomo won IRL, so the tally for this match is Same + 1 for Match 3)
MATCH 4: Terry Gibbs VS Luscious Johnny V
Gibbs was not the same once Johnny V slapped on his Finisher and it led to Gibbs' downfall.
Johnny V won when Gibbs was Counted-Out in a time of 5:47.
(Johnny V won IRL, so the tally for this match is Same + 1 for Match 4)
MATCH 5: S.D. Jones VS Brutus Beefcake
In a quick match, S.D. was no match for Beefcake.
Brutus Beefcake won with a Sleeperhold in a time of 1:03.
(Beefcake won IRL, so the tally for the match is Same + 1 for Match 5)
MATCH 6: Blackjack Mulligan VS "Dr D" David Schultz
It was rough-going for Dr. D. here, as Mulligan dominated the bout.
Blackjack Mulligan got the pin with a Belly-to-Back Suplex in a time of 12:08.
(Mulligan won IRL, so the tally for this match is Same + 1 for Match 6)
MATCH 7: Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo VS The Moondogs
A hard-fought match all around, but the Moondogs were in over their heads.
Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo won when Rex was DQed against Windham.
(Windham & Rotundo won IRL, so the tally for this match is Same + 1 for Match 7)
MATCH 8: Andre the Giant VS Ken Patera
Patera was not in prime form here and it showed!
Andre the Giant won with his Finisher-BIG BOOT in a time of 4:32.
(This was a Double-Count-Out IRL, so the tally for this match is Same + 0 for Match 8)
SCORING SYSTEM
Tally Same: If the outcome of who won is the same, even if by different means (win by DQ instead of by pin is still considered the Same), or if the the match and outcome had no winner.
Tally Different: If the outcome of who won is different, or if the match had a winner but the original outcome was a double-DQ or double-Count-Out, or if the match had no winner but original outcome did.
Percent the Same: Same / ( Same + Different ).
