Card 9 – Northern Indy Wrestling presents . . . All Out – Wrestling Mystery Show – The Rec Room, Toronto, ON
With no matches announced in advanced, the fans are buzzing to see what awaits them and it is title action out of the gate as the Briscoe Brothers make their way to the ring.
Northern Indy Tag Team Title Match – Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe) DQ. Suicide Kings (Eddie Kingston & Drake Younger)
The fans were shocked to see the return of Kingston and Younger and exploded as they made their way to the ring and prepared for war. The Suicide Kings are the only team to have beaten the Briscoe Brothers to date and the fans believe that the titles were in jeopardy. The action was insane from the outset as the Briscoe Brothers quickly went to work cutting off Younger and working him over. The Briscoe hit Younger with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE but Kingston was able to make the save. A death valley driver from Jay Briscoe followed for a huge near fall before the action went to the floor. Ringside cleared out and the Kings were able to double up on Jay Briscoe and put him through a table with a double slam. The referee had no choice but to call for the disqualification. The Kings did not finish there as a they beat down Mark Briscoe before holding up the tag straps to great heat before dropping the gold onto the fallen champions and leaving.
“Die Hard” Eddie Edwards b. Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx
The pace was awesome in this one as Edwards just seemed to frustrate Page at every turn countering back almost all of Page’s attack. Even during a brawl on the floor, Edwards was able to reverse a whip and send Page into the ring post shoulder first. Back in the ring, the action went back and forth until Page whipped Edwards into the corner and Edwards once again countered, avoiding Page’s charge into the corner sending Page crashing into the buckles chest first leading to a roll up for the three count. Page and Sparx complain that Page had his shoulder up before the count but the decision stands.
David Marquez comes out and introduces NWA Champion Adam Peace to the crowd who are on their feet with excitement as Pearce comes out to be interviewed by Marquez in the ring. Pearce tells us he has held titles around the world and now has come to Northern Indy Wrestling to claim another. Pearce challenges Northern Indy Champion Kevin Steen to a match tonight! The fans continue to stand as Steen comes out with some stellar work on the mic and ringside becomes unglued when the challenge is accepted. We have our main event!
Number One Contenders Match – Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) b. C. & C Wrestle Factory (Caprice Coleman & Cedrick Alexander)
This was an epic battle. Coleman & Caprice wrestled a nearly perfect match from the outside cutting off Benjamin and going to work for several minutes with the fans loving each moment. A C & C CONNECTION COMBO misses and Benjamin is allowed to get his much needed tag. Haas is a bully and the fans just hate him. Benjamin is arrogant enough to tag back into the match but it is clearly too soon as Alexander and Coleman regain the advantage and this time are able to connect with a C & C CONNECTION COMBO for a huge two count. The fans continue to be into the action as the match begins to go back and forth. Haas & Benjamin combine for LEAP OF FAITH on Coleman but can only get a two count. A following PAYDIRT from Benjamin may have finished it but Alexander is able to make the save. Both sides use double teaming in an effort to pull away but the action remains back and forth. Coleman stuns Benjamin with an Asai Moonsault for a big near fall and the fans thought it was over. In the end, an exhausted Benjamin is able to catch a battered Coleman with a PAYDIRT which is just enough to earn the three count.
Pure Violence Match - “King of Old School” Steve Corino b. Rhino w/Truth Martini
This one was nuts from the outset as both men came dressed for war and war is what the fans received. Corino and Rhino brawled all over the Rec Room before Corino managed to counter attack and backdrop Rhino through a ringside table. The fans were on the feet chanting as the action carried on with Corino unleashing an epic beating on Rhino including using a foreign object and several chairs to batter and bloody his opponent. Rhino managed to kick out after an OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX and the action carried on. At one point, Corino suplexed Rhino onto a ladder! Finally, Corino was able to finish Rhino with an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT to get the three count.
There is a brief intermission to allow for clean up.
Mischif DQ Cheerleader Melissa
The crowd is on their feet for a huge ovation as the competitors are introduced. MsChif takes control immediately with chips and forearms. Gates of Hell II lands twice but Melissa soon battles back connecting with a curb stomp for a near fall and then following immediately with an AIR RAID CRASH that gets a 2 ¾ count. Ringside is buzzing. MsChif powers back into control and forces the action outside. MsChif grabs a piece of the broke table but Melissa get control of the wood with a low boot and decks MsChif. The referee calls it and the fans are not pleased. Both ladies continue to fight after the bell and have to be pulled apart.
“American Wolf” Davey Richards DQ Arik Royal
The fans were expecting some hard hitting action with these two in the ring and that exactly what happened. Richards opened with some kicks before a counter clothesline from Royal send both men to the mat. Richards recovered first and kicked to death send Royal outside. Both men started to brawl on the floor but Royal took things too far when he used a chair to clobber Richards across the back. The referee made another disqualification call and the fans were not pleased with back to back non-finishes.
The Colony (Fire Ant, Green Ant & Soldier Ant) b. Team FIST (Icarus, Johnny Gargano & Chuck Taylor)
You just never know who will show up on a mystery show! The fans are out of their seats for The Colony but it is FIST who gain the early advantage thanks largely in part to the efforts of Gargano. Fire Ant is cut off from his corner for several minutes after an assisted ace crusher stuns him. Taylor nails an OMEGA DRIVER for a near fall and Fire Ant is saved by his partners after a BLU-RAY from Icarus. Ant is finally able to get the tag and the momentum turns with Solider Ant going to work. Green Ant shines with his back to back CLOVERLEAF submission holds on Taylor but cannot get the win. The action goes back and forth until The Colony combine for ANTS GO MARCHING. Icarus is saved by his partners but The Colony follow up with THE ANT HILL and get the victory while double dives to the floor prevent the pin save.
Northern Indy Title Match – “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen b. Adam Peace
Plenty of chanting in support of Steen who is usually booed out of the building. But tonight he is defending the honour of the promotion. Peace gets the worst end of the early brawling until he scores with a spinebuster that knocks the wind out of Steen. Pearce tries several times to get the pin including near falls after a Last Ride Lariat and a swinging neckbreaker. Steen makes the ropes to escape a figure four leglock. Steen makes a comeback running Pearce into the ring post busting him open. Steen then lands three powerbombs onto the ring apron all with a couple of minutes. Pearce is clearly in trouble. Steen just keeps coming. A sleeperhold suplex pounces Pearce onto his head for another near fall and a sharpshooter forces Pearce to the ropes. With the fans roaring. Steen hits an F-CINQ and the fans count to three along with the referee as he hits the mat.
