Glad you're enjoying all the old school Southern 'Rasslin', Bri! I'm a fan of everything 80's(TV, movies, music, wrestling) so that's the vibe I was going for with this. I wanted a big roster so I could have a variety of match-ups on every show. It gets boring when it's the same two people wrestling each other every week. It's one thing to have the same people on each show, but I feel like they should have different opponents unless something happened to warrant a rematch in a week or two. A big roster gives me the opportunity to say "who haven't we seen in awhile, and how do I get them on TV?" I had some ideas for teams & angles when I started this. Some I've done, some I haven't got to yet. I hope that people get a laugh(like at some of the Christmas Promos or a disco dancing Doring & Roadkill. Not to mention the strutting models Pretty Boy Playboys. BTW, the dice really love them since Sherri joined them). I hope people's jaws drop in surprise(like the Brody/Gordy I Quit World Title controversy, the debut & Non-Title win of Randy Savage, and of course April jumping up & down. It always makes my jaw drop! I feel like Jim Cornette's the wolf in the cartoon where Little Red Riding Hood's a lounge singer--maybe I should have April serenade Jim: "Oh, Corny! Oh, Corny! Ain't we got fun?) I've always thought wrestling was at its best when it combines action(the reason we watch), intrigue(the reason we tune in next week) & humor(as long as it's done properly). I'd never put Brody or the Freebirds in a comedy skit--except for Christmas because that's something special that's not part of the regular TV show storyline. Others like the Night Fever team of Doring & Roadkill, the PBP team of Rose & Sharpe, and Heartbreak Express are tailor made for comedy as opposed to serious wrestling though. I hope I've been able to combine all of those into a realistic promotion like the ones we all grew up watching. Those territorial shows--no matter what part of the country you lived in growing up--are the reason we all became fans in the first place. That's the reason we all became fans of Filsinger Games, and that's the reason we create our own feds & post results too.
