I think if I was to do an indie fed, I would center it around Cole, Styles, Tyler and Danielson for the main singles title. Kinda like Heyman did in 2002 on Smackdown with Beniott, Eddie, Rey and another wrestler I couldn't think about right now. I think all four of those would make for an interesting hunt for the title on paper anyway. I'm just not sure of their stats. I like what you're saying Crossbones my man! Something similar is brewing between the braintrust that wants to build a fed out of this tournametnt. Without giving away too much, they are looking at four divisions of wrestlers - Womens World Championship, Hardcore Championship (although it will actually be called the Medieval Championship), World Tag Team Championship, and the big kahuna - World Championship. Along with a suprise or two, the rosters will be predominantly Indy wrestlers / wrestlers from the tournament. We'll just have to see if they can pull it off. Thanks bro!

Happy Saturday everybody!
Just wanted to mention a couple of things before I post the next chapter in this thread.
Originally I only thought that this was going to be a tournament - so I came up with what was a different way for me to post results.
But now since the protagonists in the story of this tournament are attempting to wrestle these situations and circumstances and create a fed out of all of this, then it occurred to me that this posting style (I don't think) is really built or conducive for the long haul.
So I said to myself, self, we have to try an alternate posting variation or method if this is going to hopefully mutate into a fed.
Something hopefully comprehensive and as concise as I can be. (Which isn't very concise really 😊).
So courtesy of a plethora of inspirations and ideas from my fellow promoters and great friends on these boards, from here out, the posting style is going to follow the following format as shown in the upcoming chapter 14.
I truly thank everyone who takes the time to stop by and stay a while!
Please feel free to pm me if posting messages isn't you're thing, (it wasn't for me for about a year at least) or of course if you have any questions or ideas I'm all ears!
Chapter 14 is up next.
Thanks all!
Bri.

A Billion Reasons...(A Tournament)... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Chapter 14)
(13th night of tournament matches): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. A.R. Fox ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination ) vs Cheeseburger ( 1 - 2 )
2. Jay Lethal ( 1 - 2 ) vs Claudio Castagnoli ( 1 - 2 )
3. Lance Hoyt ( 1 - 2 ) vs THE EQUALIZER ( 2 - 0 )
4. Johnny Gargano ( 2 - 1 ) vs A.J. Styles ( 2 - 1 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menace & Les Thatcher: --------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher describes the previous nights matches to The Dark Menace...as per usual...from within "The Dungeon"...although this morning there are a couple of things...that are different:
1. The Dark Menace has insisted...upon sitting in a side guest chair next to Les Thatcher...and not in a power position...from behind his desk...and he even had whiskey...and coffee...as an alternative...awaiting Les...along with what sounded like another hearfelt apology...for threatening Phantasy...
2. Sami Callihan was sitting inside the stone staircase...a flight up from The Dungeon...listening too all of this...intently...and analyzed what The Dark Menace says...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. A.R. Fox defeated Cheeseburger via Pinfall courtesy of his 450 SPLASH finisher at the 12 minute mark...
A.R. Fox - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss)
Cheeseburger - (3 fatigue & 1 successful interference from Brodie Lee & 1 near disqualification via Lee's interference)
(Despite interference from Cheeseburgers future partner in crime, Brodie Lee - A.R. Fox comes from behind to stay alive in the tournament and becomes the first wrestler to have eliminated two wrestlers.).
â–ª Cheeseburger has been eliminated from the tournament â–ª
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jay Lethal via Pinfall courtesy of his RICOLA BOMB finisher at the 12 minute mark...
Claudio Castagnoli - (4 fatigue With Blood Loss)
Jay Lethal - (0 fatigue)
(After barely surviving a stunning offensive barrage from Jay Lethal, a bloodied Claudio Castagnoli catches Lethal with a Roaring European Uppercut, that sets up Castagnoli immediately executing his finisher).
â–ª Jay Lethal has been eliminated from the tournament â–ª
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. The Equalizer defeated Lance Hoyt via Pinfall courtesy of his CATASTROPHE finisher (A Shooting Star Press) at the 20 second mark...now the quickest victory of the tournament...
The Equalizer - (0 fatigue)
Lance Hoyt - (0 fatigue)
(Even with extensive weight training, and a concealed pair of Brass Knuckles on his person - Lance Hoyt was completely obliterated by the freakish strength, very suprising agility, and orders from The Dark Menace to completely destroy this man).
â–ª Lance Hoyt has been eliminated from the tournament â–ª
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. A.J. Styles defeated Johnny Gargano via Pinfall courtesy of his STYLES CLASH finisher at the 15 minute mark...
A.J. Styles - (1 fatigue)
Johnny Gargano - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss)
(From the opening handshake to Styles second and final execution of his finisher this was a technical scientific beauty; with moments of all the wrestlers standing to get better views, rounds of ovations and tremendous heart from Gargano, the difference maker here was Styles prevented Gargano from executing his finisher - at all).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takeaways from - The Callihan Chronicles:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Sami Callihan told Les Thatcher and Mike Quackenbush that although...he would really like to believe...The Dark Menace's sincere apology and attempts at humility with Thatcher that morning...Callihan stated that, "If there's one thing...a former sociopath can still do...it's spot an active...one...from a mile away"...
2. Mike Quackenbush convinces Les Thatcher to use his cell phone...to secretly record Thatcher's conversations with...The Dark Menace...Q thinks that...between Callihan's analysis...and these recorded conversations...perhaps the three of them...can read between all the lines...to understand it all...a little better...
3. They all agree and will hold firm on the point of...until the 33 wrestlers contracts...(including Thatcher's)...have been amended...and we are given 48 hours to review and sign them...then there's no point...in discussing the next steps towards...sanctioning a federation here...
4. As Phantasy finishes rolling her luggage...now permanently inside...Les Thatchers chambers...she tells the three of them that she has been doing some thinking...and asks Thatcher and Quackenbush if she...could become a partner in the federation...it is met with an enthusiastic yes from Quauckenbush...a relieved and proud yes...from Thatcher...and from Phantasy herself...also a sense of relief...self pride...and like how Thatcher does as well...Phantasy feels even closer to him...
5. In a dramatic moment...Phantasy then tells the three of them..."Oh...and here's my ante...to contribute my part...and invest...in us"...and she places...the large multicarrot...diamond engagement ring that she got...from Sly Drury...right in the middle of Les Thatcher's table...as Mike and Sami gaze in wonder at the ring...Les says to Phantasy..."I like you're style"...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tournament Scoreboard:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyler Black - ( 3 - 0 ) The Sandman - ( 3 - 0 ) Michael Elgin - ( 3 - 0 ) Adam Cole - ( 3 - 0 )
A.J. Styles - ( 3 - 1 )
Sabu - ( 2 - 1 ) Mike Quackenbush - ( 2 - 1 ) Brodie Lee - ( 2 - 1 ) Jerry Lynn - ( 2 - 1 ) Dan Severn - ( 2 - 1 ) Davey Richards - ( 2 - 1 ) Jay Briscoe - ( 2 - 1 ) Justin Credible - ( 2 - 1 ) Rob Van Dam - ( 2 - 1 ) Kevin Steen - ( 2 - 1 )
A.R. Fox - ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations ) Claudio Castagnoli - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
Johnny Gargano - ( 2 - 2 )
Chuck Taylor - ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination ) Bryan Danielson - ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
Eddie Kingston - ( 1 - 2 ) Al Snow - ( 1 - 2 ) Sami Callihan - ( 1 - 2 ) Adam Page - ( 1 - 2 ) Konnan - ( 1 - 2 ) Homicide - ( 1 - 2 )
THE EQUALIZER - ( 3 - 0 - 1 Elimination ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sugar Dunkerton - ( 0 - 3 ) Jigsaw - ( 0 - 3 ) Adam Pearce - ( 0 - 3 ) Cheeseburger - ( 1 - 3 ) Jay Lethal - ( 1 - 3 ) Lance Hoyt - ( 1 - 3 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some Other Reasons:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Surrealistic Pillow Talk: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About an hour after Sami Callihan and Mike Quackenbush have left Les Thatchers...and Phantasy's chambers...although the idea scares the hell out of her...Phantasy proposes to take Les back in time...(using her cellphone that all of, except The Equalizer, the members of Dark Menace Forces have)...in order to see Les's wife Maureen of 44 years...who passed away from cancer a few years back...Thatcher is overwhelmed...and lovingly appreciates how difficult that must have been for her to offer...Thatcher says he needs time to consider this...and they decide to talk again...by meeting at Phantasy's pillow tomorrow night...to talk about this further...
2. The Unfound: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheeseburger and Brodie Lee just needed a good distraction...to check...to see if the Old Irish Kings treasure chest...is really there...underneath where Cheeseburger swears it is...underneath the Kingstone...and tonight...they were beyond lucky...they had two...some of the maids who were partying with Adam Cole started dancing on the cafeteria tables and slowly started removing some of their clothes...also...inside the castle wall...at the far end...someone claimed they saw three...attractive witches...all huddled together...but then dissappeared...Brodie Lee...following Cheeseburgers instructions...made his way to the Kingstone...moved it...and dug for a while...until he found a leather/iron chest...its there...and theres definitely something in it...but naturally it's locked...Lee replaced the chest back into the hole...covered it back up as best as he could...and climbed back over inside the wall...
3. Singapore Screwjob Unlimited: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane and even the "Angry Moose"...Tursas...as the Hotel Assistant Manager calls him...have been doing their homework...many phone calls and even a few local eyewitness accounts...have positively confirmed that..."That Asshole Kevin Steen"...is participating in the castle tournament...they have also determined that Mike Quackenbush is also...in that tournament that rumors say...is about to become possibly...a prestigious fed...Cornette wants his Singapore Screwjob Unlimited...or SSU...in this fed...they intend on slowly torturing Kevin Steen...night after night...until he permanently walks, "Even Funnier...Than I Friggin Do!".
4. The Killer Elite Squad: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dylan McDermott has been trying to somehow reach his man Lance Hoyt and or Mike Quackenbush...he wants to buy his ancestral home...Castle Island...from The Dark Menace...to free the island from these invaders...as he sees them in his mind...Johnny Gargano's mother...known only as "Ms. Gargano" is writing a response to her son Johnny Gargano...that contains a letter from Dylan McDermott...complete with the McDermott crest embossed on the paper...telling The Dark Menace that...he want's to buy his families island back...and to "Name Your Price".
5. The Man In The Mirror: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menaces lawyer...is a brilliant...but twisted man...he holds a long term basement room...of the same hotel that everyone else...coincidentally...is staying in...he worked rather quickly...this man who calls himself...Pro Bono...in amending all of the contracts...with his laptop and printer...and he still got a kick out of himself with his invention..."The Mirror Clause"...(a clause that in these wrestlers contracts that only pertain to the tournament winner...that can only be seen...on the last page of the contract...if you hold it up to a mirror)...The Boatman picked up the documents and brought them across Lough Key and right into the eagerly awaiting hands...of The Dark Menace...all the while...The Boatman was still haunted by the sight of this lawyer...with an attrociously smelling cigar sticking out of his mouth...while still...always wearing that full length...brown bearcostume...with that.. one big...really...messed up looking eye...
6. The Las Vegans: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Gambler Number 1 fell asleep playing video games...and Gambler Number 2 had one too many Budweisers and also...fell asleep...the man that they know as...Black Suit...a former wrestler sat in an arm chair...staring out of the window...to the sight of the castle...a few miles away...in the middle of Lough Key...he thought to himself...if what his new...associates here...say is true...and Monolith is on that island...then he could...more than likely...blow the whistle...on the whole scene...however...the more that he just thought about it...he suddenly realized something...and a brand new idea...crept into his head...before I arrest everyone...I'm going to have to have...a sit down...with...The Dark Menace...and try to have him...see things...in a different light...as an alternative...and with that...he texted his superiors / bosses...:
KP (2019) - They aren't here. Tell them - It's time to call off the search on this planet, waste of all of our times.
UFSP Agent (2126) - O.K.
KP (2019) - But I need you, to come here - but absolutely - only - you.
(After a bit of a pause...):
UFSP Agent (2126) - Sure. I have a few days coming to me anyway. Why?
KP (2019) - When - you get here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 14th nights matches: ------------------------------------------------
1. Homicide ( 1 - 2 ) vs Chuck Taylor ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
2. Jerry Lynn ( 2 - 1 ) vs Dan Severn ( 2 - 1 )
3. Davey Richards ( 2 - 1 ) vs Mike Quackenbush ( 2 - 1 )
4. Rob Van Dam ( 2 - 1 ) vs Kevin Steen ( 2 - 1 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Billion Reasons...(A Tournament)... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carpe diem everybody!

I'm liking AJ beating Gargano. I'm sure that was a great main event on the show.

Great action all around recently especially AJ Vs. Gargano which looked to be a show stealer. I'm liking Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) in the undefeated club and I'm hoping to see him go all the way in this event.

Boo to Styles beating Gargano. Go Quack. Morning TTX! That was a tough match for me to root for I really dig both Styles and Gargano. About halfway through the match though I knew this was Styles match - he never let up the pressure. Really pulling for Mike Quackenbush as well. I'm interested to see just who survives this round of matches (chapters 14 - 17). There will probably be at least one, if not more wrestlers eliminated from the tournament through these on each card. And I know that The Equalizer is just chomping at the bit on a Monolithic level to keep on being necessary in the tournament. (Apologies, I just couldn't resist that one 😊). Thanks again for being a part of this my friend!

I'm liking AJ beating Gargano. I'm sure that was a great main event on the show. The 14th nights matches: ------------------------------------------------ 1. Homicide ( 1 - 2 ) 2. Jerry Lynn ( 2 - 1 ) 3. Mike Quackenbush ( 2 - 1 ) 4. Rob Van Dam ( 2 - 1 ) Mornin Crossbones! It was totally a fun match to behold. Back and forth at first and then a powerful offense by Styles eventually outlasted a powerful defense by Gargano. In the words of Pariah - PHENOMENAL! I like those picks brother, especially Quackenbush and Van Dam. Also enjoyed you're view on organizing an Indy fed. I know Les Thatcher's preliminary designs are 4 moderately sized divisions - Womens, Hardcore, World Tag Team and Mens/World Title - and Mike Quackenbush should be able to recruit the lion's share of the roster but they have some obstacles: 1. There will/may be a few additions to the rosters that they won't be able to avoid / and have to compromise on. 2. They have written up, what they are calling the Equalizer Accord. A specific proposal outlining a plan on how to deal with this monster. A big question will be will the Dark Menace go along with it? And an even bigger question will be, will The Equalizer go along with it? 3. Les Thatcher's team and Dark Menace Forces Incorporated are not out of the woods yet, when it comes to the 2126 authorities on their trails, not to mention a real possibility of all of them being hauled into 2126 for questioning if not arrest. Glad you enjoyed the Styles result and many thanks for being in the seats!
