Great action all around recently especially AJ Vs. Gargano which looked to be a show stealer. I'm liking Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) in the undefeated club and I'm hoping to see him go all the way in this event. Thanks very much cruefan68! Very stoked you are enjoying the tournament. That Styles / Gargano match really was a good one. Moves Styles up to 3 - 1 too. Adam Cole has really been a machine so far in this tournament. He's had some tough opposition from Van Dam and Steen but he's been firing on all cylinders for sure. Looking forward to the Coles / Black showdown, as well as The Dark Menaces and Les Thatchers bet on it. Each gets to ask the other a question and the loser must answer. Really hoping Cole wins, since that will also allow Thatcher to do the asking - and he's got a good one in mind. On a side note - hope you're gaming time increases soon. I know what you mean when time has been scarce and it's tough to play. I have about 2/3 of the next chapter done and I can't wait to play out and write up the rest. Thanks brother!

A Billion Reasons...(A Tournament / Fed?)... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Chapter 15)
(14th night of tournament matches): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Homicide ( 1 - 2 ) vs Chuck Taylor ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
2. Jerry Lynn ( 2 - 1 ) vs Dan Severn ( 2 - 1 )
3. Davey Richards ( 2 - 1 ) vs Mike Quackenbush ( 2 - 1 )
4. Rob Van Dam ( 2 - 1 ) vs Kevin Steen ( 2 - 1 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menace & Les Thatcher: --------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher describes the previous nights matches to The Dark Menace...as per usual...from within "The Dungeon"...but this morning there are somethings that...strike Thatcher as being a little different...and unexpected:
1. In what appears to be "The New Normal", The Dark Menace has again...insisted...upon sitting in a side guest chair next to Les Thatcher...and not from behind his desk...once again offering both whiskey...and coffee...as alternatives...and even capped off...with an open box of jelly donuts...
2. Sami Callihan was intending upon eavesdropping upon The Dark Menaces...and Les Thatchers morning conversation...however...The Ultimate Fighters Clinch and Shoot...The Dark Menaces tag team...were suddenly standing guard at the top of the stairs...just after Les Thatcher had descended down them...Callihan then switched his focus...to simply watching Clinch and Shoot...although ultimately there turned out to be...no apparent intention...for them to interfere with The Menaces and Thatchers meeting...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Homicide defeated Chuck Taylor via Pinfall courtesy of his Attack With Fork at the 6 minute mark...
Homicide - (1 fatigue & 3 Near Disqualifications - A Steel Chair Shot, Powerslamming Taylor Through The Timekeepers Table & Attacking With Fork)
Chuck Taylor - (7 fatigue With Serious Blood Loss)
(Although at first impressive on offense and with many timely reversals, Chuck Taylor made the mistake of moving this match outside the ring. From then on, Homicide administered a terrific and virtually unchecked beating to him, leaving some to wonder - how much did Homicide pay to assure the shoddy officiating?).
▪ Chuck Taylor has been eliminated from the tournament - but he vows that this is not his final match within these castle walls▪
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Dan Severn defeated Jerry Lynn via Submission courtesy of his WAKIGATAME finisher (A Fujiwara Armbar) at the 6 minute mark...
Dan Severn - (0 fatigue)
Jerry Lynn - (2 fatigue)
(Even at his age, often outmaneuvered and connecting with awkward high risk attempts, Dan Severn, through sheer force of will - just powered his way through this match. At the end, Jerry Lynn had struggled with everything he had left in order to break the hold, but could only get as close as a few inches from the bottom rope).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Mike Quackenbush defeated Davey Richards via Pinfall courtesy of a Perfect Cross Body Block at the 9 minute mark...
Mike Quackenbush - (1 fatigue)
Davey Richards - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss & 1 Near Disqualification - Suplexing Quackenbush Through The Announcers Table)
(Quite an agile aerial offensive display on both sides, but of the two, Mike Quackenbush was much sharper and more effective - which enraged Davey Richards. After nearly getting himself disqualified by winning an outside brawl and Vertical Suplexing Quackenbush Through The Announcers Table, Richards rage made him lose focus - and Quackenbush soon capitalized on it quickly).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Kevin Steen defeated Rob Van Dam via Pinfall courtesy of his F-CINQ finisher (A Fisherman's Carry Facebuster) at the 3 minute mark...
Kevin Steen - (0 fatigue & 1 Near Disqualification - Powerbombing Van Dam Into A Quickly Vacated First Row)
Rob Van Dam - (2 fatigue)
(Kevin Steen sends a message and makes a statement by completely destroying Rob Van Dam in this match. Staking a claim that Steen is "King of Outside The Ring" he took all the fight out of Van Dam with brutal back to back Powerbombs - setting up a picture perfect execution of his F-CINQ finisher).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takeaways from - The Callihan Chronicles:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(This installment of The Callihan Chronicles...covers the second of three...pivotal meetings between Dark Menace Forces Inc...and Les Thatcher's team...present on one side...of the large conference room table were The Dark Menace...flanked by both Clinch and Shoot...with The Equalizer standing behind and to The Dark Menaces right):
(On the other side of the table...sat Les Thatcher...flanked by Phantasy on his left...and Mike Quackenbush on his right...standing behind and to Les Thatcher's left...was Sami Callihan...who since he had promised...to not bring his knife this time...had a set of Nunchucks...shoved down the front of his shirt...underneath his jacket):
1. The Contracts: --------------------------------
As The Dark Menace promised...his lawyer...had revised all 33 contracts...and The Menace immediately...gave them to Les Thatcher...all of the signees have 48 hours from this moment...to review and sign...once the 48 hours have expired...the contracts will be null and void...although the 48 hours time is...much more of a courtesy than anything else...considering everyone just wants out of this legal entanglement...Phantasy plans to caution all of the signees afterwards...because she just remembered...who The Dark Menace uses on occassion...as a lawyer...and may have done so here as well...
2. The Conditions Around The Tournament: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After some back and forth between both sides...The Dark Menace has agreed to a compromise...the wrestlers can go "Back On The Grid" and will even allow...the restrictions around leaving the island to be eased up...provided...a non disclosure agreement is signed and strictly obeyed by all...Les Thatcher and The Dark Menace agree on all of these points...including allowing conjugal visits...as long as they too...sign a waiver as well...maintaining all secrecy...with regards to the tournament...and the happenings on Castle Island...
3. An Unexpected Arrival: --------------------------------------------------
Suddenly barging in to the meeting...brandishing 100 blank...non-disclosure agreements to be read and signed as needed...walked the Incomperable...Pro Bono...The Dark Menaces lawyer...and he is quite the sight...full length brown bear costume...a smouldering cigar perched out of the side of his mouth...with an unforgettable and horrible aroma of...a sort of combination of...skunk marijuana...and hot asphalt...and one of the eyes on the brown bear costume...completely askew...apparently Pro Bono will now be staying at the castle...in a converted storage chamber...
As Thatcher and his team...try not to show they're confusion...Phantasy...recognizing Pro Bono as the enigmatic and completely unpredictable Hector...from the GWF...whispers into Les's ear...
Phantasy - We are all going to...really...have to read...those contracts Babe...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tournament Scoreboard:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyler Black - ( 3 - 0 ) The Sandman - ( 3 - 0 ) Michael Elgin - ( 3 - 0 ) Adam Cole - ( 3 - 0 )
A.J. Styles - ( 3 - 1 ) Dan Severn - ( 3 - 1 ) Mike Quackenbush - ( 3 - 1 ) Kevin Steen - ( 3 - 1 )
Sabu - ( 2 - 1 ) Brodie Lee - ( 2 - 1 ) Jay Briscoe - ( 2 - 1 ) Justin Credible - ( 2 - 1 )
A.R. Fox - ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations ) Claudio Castagnoli - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination ) Homicide - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
Johnny Gargano - ( 2 - 2 ) Jerry Lynn - ( 2 - 2 ) Davey Richards - ( 2 - 2 ) Rob Van Dam - ( 2 - 2 )
Bryan Danielson - ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
Eddie Kingston - ( 1 - 2 ) Al Snow - ( 1 - 2 ) Sami Callihan - ( 1 - 2 ) Adam Page - ( 1 - 2 ) Konnan - ( 1 - 2 )
THE EQUALIZER - ( 3 - 0 - 1 Elimination ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sugar Dunkerton - ( 0 - 3 ) Jigsaw - ( 0 - 3 ) Adam Pearce - ( 0 - 3 ) Cheeseburger - ( 1 - 3 ) Jay Lethal - ( 1 - 3 ) Lance Hoyt - ( 1 - 3 ) Chuck Taylor - ( 1 - 3 - 1 Elimination )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some Other Reasonable Items:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Surrealistic Pillow Talk: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About a half hour or so...after the meeting with Dark Menace Forces Inc....and after Sami Callihan and Mike Quackenbush have left Les Thatchers and Phantasy's chambers...Les and Phantasy...once again meet at Phantasy's pillow...
After much thought...and much appreciation...Les Thatcher decides that...in the case of visiting his wife in the past...this would be much too confusing...and upsetting to her...and himself...Les hasn't completely...ruled it out for the future...but...Les has asked...Phantasy if they could go back to a former federation that Les had wrestled in...during the year of 1960...he would love to be able to go visit his former best friend...who was also a wrestler...but later in their lives...he was more like a close brother...the associated time disruption would be a lot less complicated...Les believes...because his friend was a lifelong bachelor...
2. The Unfound: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a work of art...it truly was...the two security staff members at the castle gate saw...Brodie Lee and Cheeseburger leave the castle together...to go to the dock in order to work out via rowing the raft around the island...and the security staff saw Lee and Cheeseburger return...to the castle together...they even got a warm thank you...fespecially...from Lee...
But what the security staff at the castle gate didn't see was...only Brodie Lee...actually met The Boatman...and worked out...via rowing the raft around Castle Island...Cheeseburger had slickly dissappeared into the foliage...towards and around...where the Kingstone remained naturally concealed...and when Lee and Cheeseburger returned to the castle gate...Brodie Lee purposely grabbed the security guards attention...as Cheeseburgers knapsack was now much heavier...although it wasn't too obviously larger...unless you were looking for it...and around Cheeseburgers leg...underneath his long coat...was The Irish Kings golden and jewel encrusted crown...he was actually wearing it...around his thigh...like some sort of weird...garter belt...that he had shimmied into...Cheeseburger later concealed everything they took...within a larger duffel bag that sat in the middle...of the very small...and only...portion of his chambers...that he knew...were totally...off camera...
3. Singapore Screwjob Unlimited: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a) Jim Cornette:
He was tickled to death...that his new...custom made tennis racquet...was just delivered today...it sparkled...and it glistened in the light...an aluminum / steel alloy...strung from top to bottom...and side to side...with razor sharp...barbed wire netting...he tried to jump up and down with joy...but he just couldn't...so he enjoyed...what could only be described as...a slightly hoping...victory waddle...
b) The Midnight Express:
Each and every night...it was the same thing for the Express...a different bar...a different pub...and a different fight...a weird way to re-train...to say the least...although Eaton did tell Lane that they may have an...exhibition tag team match coming up...against some schmoes named the...Forever Hooligans...and they're people...who also happen to be staying at the same hotel...that they are...
c) Tursas:
Tursas was told by his new boss...and mentor...Jim Cornette to please be patient...and when the time is right...Tursas will be unleashed...and whomever tries to get in our way will "Feel You're Wrath"...
But Tursas...couldn't relax...nor be patient...he wanted to avenge his mentor...the legendary...Jim Cormette...and something just...snapped...inside his mind...he couldn't let this crime against Cornette...go unpunished any longer...
He ran all of the way...to Lough Key and...under cover of darkness...ran and lept into the waters of Lough Key itself...and started swimming towards Castle Island...to find his victim...Kevin Steen...to show him...who...Wrestlings Greatest Nightmare...really is...
4. The Killer Elite Squad: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ms. Gargano's letter to her son Johnny arrived...toute suite...and within it...was a sealed envelope from Dylan McDermott...Johnny read his mums letter and did what she asked...although the owner of Castle Island was rarely seen...he had heard through the grapevine who his people were...Johnny saw The Equalizer and explained the situation to him...
The Equalizer went down the stone stairs...into The Dungeon...and saw The Dark Menace behind his desk...The Equalizer handed the sealed envelope to The Dark Mernace...who opened it and read it...
The Dark Menace - Huh...Dylan McDermott wants to buy...my island...and my castle...and for me to name...my price...well my friend...this explains who's holding...Lance Hoyts leash...doesn't it?...
The Equalizer - (Grunts)...
The Dark Menace - I think...a response is in order...in due time...
(As The Dark Menace grabs a fresh piece of parchment...as well as his quill...and ink...The Equalizer lumbers back up...the stone stairs).
5. The Las Vegans: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene is just down the road from the hotel...that they were staying in...the same one that all...of these groups were staying in...Gambler Number 2 had just asked Gambler Number 1...where Black Suit had gone...to which Gambler Number 1 replied...he had taken a walk...to do some thinkin...and then winked at him):
(On the side a road...about half a mile from the hotel...was an ancient stone fence...and leaning against that fence...was a man from the future...an Agent from the United Federation of Stars and Planets...one of the two primary groups that we're searching...or better yet...now hunting down...Dark Menace Forces Inc...almost as much...as they were jointly...hunting down...Sly Drury...):
(Black Suit and The UFSP Agent spoke for a while...and the two of them hatched a plan...well it was really...Black Suits plan...that The Agent agreed to.):
(If...The Dark Menace...was willing to testify...and give an official recorded statement and deposition...about any and all...he knows regarding Sly Drury...plead guilty to lesser crimes...and pay a very...substantial amount of bail / fines...he...and his crew...could remain free...but they would have to relocate to 2019 permanently...and live out their days on Earth...and if Dark Menace Forces didn't like that...well...then Black Suit...The UFSP Agent and an army of backup...will just...have to arrest each and every one...of them).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 15th nights matches: ------------------------------------------------
1. Sami Callihan ( 1 - 2 ) vs Hangman Adam Page ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
2. Eddie Kingston ( 1 - 2 ) vs Bryan Danielson ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
3. Jay Briscoe ( 2 - 1 ) vs Sabu ( 2 - 1 )
4. The Sandman ( 3 - 0 ) vs Michael Elgin ( 3 - 0 )

I'm curious now how much trouble Phantasy may be in given that she once was associated with The Dark Menace. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Totally stoked by AJ's big win over Johnny Wrestling... But like our friend, Crossbones, a little disappointed that RVD was handed such a beating by Steen... Awesome stuff, as always!

Can't believe that Rob Van Dam lost to Kevin Steen. BOOOOOOOOOOOO! I know right! I was so bummed Crossbones mi amigo. Of all the wrestlers in the tournament RVD is my fave. Although I have to say with the exception of this last match of his - his matches have been great. I still point to his 27 minute match vs Adam Cole as being my favorite match in this sucker - even with him losing it to boot. I like to think he's just pacing himself. Thanks dude for always being in the seats!

I'm curious now how much trouble Phantasy may be in given that she once was associated with The Dark Menace. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I hear ya Mad Kanter! As we are getting further through the tournament more and more things are being forced to come to light. She's only up until recently been involved with The Dark Menace and has had prior connections with a few other questionable people. Thatcher and Phantasy have a great thing going...but as far as her direct involvements with said people...she still hasn't been able to talk about it with him...let alone want to...but in time...most if not all things seem to bubble to the surface in one way or another. But more to follow my friend with regards to her. Thanks my man for being a part of this!
