Big upset by Sandman no matter how you look at it. Always enjoy an AmDrag win and the usual craziness afterwards is always appreciated. Hey TTX! I wholeheartedly agree - The Sandman is on some kind of tear that's for sure. Always cool when a wrestler defies the odds and powers through to the top of the heap. He became the first 4 - 0 wrestler in the tournament which is pretty wild. Totally stoked you are enjoying the craziness - what's wrestling without craziness right? The majority of the participants are on the chessboard and several games are in play as we speak. Thanks again amigo for always being a part of the craziness!

I've had Black from the beginning so he's obviously my pick against Cole. Also have a lot of players in the game now. I'm intrigued to see how all the pieces fit. Looking forward to the next chapter for sure. Morning Mad Kanter! I hear ya. Black is a very solid pick, not only for this match but for the whole tournament. Very jazzed you are digging the surrounding storylines! These situations gave birth to the tournament and the tournament is starting to give birth to other situations. The way I see it, one perpetuates the other and if I can do this right, they will only become more and more dependent / co-dependent of each other by the time we get to only two people left in the tournament. Posting is always a work in progress for me and I'm always shooting for a sweet spot experience between the stories and the matches. I am very grateful you are in the seats for this endeavor my man! Going to be posting chapter 17 soon. Thanks again.

A Billion Reasons...(A Tournament / Fed)... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Chapter 17)
(16th night of tournament matches): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Al Snow ( 1 - 2 ) vs Konnan ( 1 - 2 )
2. Brodie Lee ( 2 - 1 ) vs Justin Credible ( 2 - 1 )

IN A SPECIAL NON - TOURNAMENT MATCH:
3. Kevin Steen ( 3 - 1 ) vs Tursas
NO DISQUALIFICATIONS OR INTERFERENCES

4. Adam Cole ( 3 - 0 ) vs Tyler Black ( 3 - 0 )
▪A bet exists between Les Thatcher and The Dark Menace regarding the outcome of this tournament match - If Adam Cole wins then Les Thatcher gets to ask The Dark Menace absolutely anything he wants - If Tyler Black wins then The Dark Menace gets to do the asking▪
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menace & Les Thatcher: --------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher describes the previous nights matches to The Dark Menace...as per usual...from within "The Dungeon"...with an additional amount of Aethran whiskey on hand...The Dark Menace this morning was anxious...to get right to it:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Al Snow defeated Konnan via Pinfall courtesy of his SNOW PLOW finisher (A Scoop Brainbuster) at the 6 minute mark...
Al Snow - (1 fatigue & 2 Near Disqualifications - A Steel Chair Shot Outside Ring & Smashed Konnan Right Between The Eyes With Head)
Konnan - (3 fatigue)
(With lots of verbal warfare and a prematch brawl outside of the ring brawl between these two, this match almost didn't happen, coming dangerously close to the tournaments first double disqualification. But once the match got underway, Konnan became increasingly frustrated with Snow's highly unorthodox style and in the end, had no answer for him).
▪ Konnan has been eliminated from the tournament ▪
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Brodie Lee defeated Justin Credible via Pinfall courtesy of his BIG BOOT finisher at the 6 minute mark...
Brodie Lee - (0 fatigue)
Justin Credible - (2 fatigue)
(A one sided affair that to Credible's credit, lasted a lot longer than it should have. Once Brodie Lee connected with his Package Piledriver for a 2 & 3/4 near fall, that took absolutely everything that Credible had left, causing him to roll defensively out of the ring and lie in a motionless heap on the ground outside the ring until the 9 and a 1/2 count, then he got his face kicked in).
▪ The Sandman administered his own particular brand of first aid...by cracking open a 40 ounce beer for both his friend / business partner...and himself ▪
▪ As The Sandman walked his man Credible back to the makeshift locker area...he told him..."You were just too sober...You were bound to loose"..."Here...Now we try it...My way"...(as he lit a cigarette for both he and Credible...in between gulps)...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Tursas defeated Kevin Steen via Pinfall courtesy of his DIVING CROSS BODY finisher at the 15 minute mark...
Tursas - (1 fatigue)
Kevin Steen - (4 fatigue With Blood Loss)
(With a lot more security on hand than usual coupled with The Equalizer assisting, Tursas finally got his hands on Kevin Steen and definitely made him pay for what Steen ordered to be done with Jim Cornette. The coup de grace was a very rarely seen, not second, but top rope version of Tursas's devastating finisher, which almost caused him to loose his balance and fall ass over head backwards off the top ropes - until he took some seconds, steadied himself and then lept).
▪ Immediately after Tursas was declared the winner, The Midnight Express (aka Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane), charged the ring to encourage and especially participate in a post match beat down - but suprising everyone in attendance, including and especially Kevin Steen himself, B.J. Whitmer, Dennis Martinez and Kevin Sullivan came to Steen's aid.
▪ As the immense security staff was restoring order...Kevin Sullivan pulled Kevin Steen aside...and did a lot of talking...as Kevin Steen decidedly found himself doing...a lot of listening...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Tyler Black defeated Adam Cole via Pinfall courtesy of his Running Shooting Star Press at the 6 minute mark...
Tyler Black - (0 fatigue)
Adam Cole - (2 fatigue)
(A highly anticipated match wherein Adam Cole quite simply got his ass handed to him and quite quickly as well. Although some of the spectators in the front row claim that Tyler Black may have had a loaded boot when he kicked Adam Cole in the head early in the match; leading Black to pulling out the big gins via both his GODS LAST GIFT (A Fisherman DDT Into A Small Package) and his PHOENIX SPLASH (A Corkscrew 450 Splash), in retrospect it doesn't really matter - because Cole was just outhought and outmatched by Black from start to finish in this one).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takeaways from - The Callihan Chronicles:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(This installment of The Callihan Chronicles...covers the third of three...pivotal meetings between Dark Menace Forces Inc...and Les Thatcher's team...present on one side...of the large conference room table were The Dark Menace...flanked by both Clinch and Shoot...and The Equalizer standing behind and to The Dark Menaces right...and The Dark Menace's lawyer...Pro Bono...behind and to his left...on the other side of the table were Les Thatcher...flanked by both Mike Quackenbush and Phantasy...with Sami Callihan standing behind...and to Les Thatcher's left...):
1. The Contracts: --------------------------------
Les Thatcher & Co. couldn't find anything wrong the contracts, (had they held the final page of all the wrestlers in the tournaments contracts...up to a mirror...then they would have)...and all of the wrestlers indeed signed off on these amended contracts...but Les Thatcher & Co. still had an uneasy feeling about them...Pro Bono tried to reassure them all by saying:
Pro Bono - Let me reassure you all...If you have read everything in there and or...even just examined these contracts with you're very own eyes...you will see that there is absolutely...nothing wrong...with those contracts...my friends...
2. Tournament Conditions & DMF Support: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher now tried to reassure all...by stating that the overall security force on the island...has now been doubled...due to more comings and goings...with the only people not being allowed on the island...for the time being...being members of the press...and everyone present on the island or visiting...isn't allowed in the castle...until they have signed the non-disclosure agreements...that have been provided by Pro Bono...
Thatcher also tried to reassure The Dark Mehace and his people...and to a certain...indirect extent...Phantasy...that the lion's share of the wrestlers here do not trust them...however...most of us in this room support you...and Michael Elgin has said he would help...
Thatcher continued to say that...this situation can be remedied though...through a day by day...proactive attempt...to do so...on all of our parts...which brought a nod of agreance and thanks from The Dark Menace...and from what Les Thatcher could surmise...still a prevailing sense of general uncomfortableness...from Phantasy...
3. The Equalizer Accord : ---------------------------------------------------
In a delicately...but directly...put conversation...both sides agreed to the following:
▪ With regards to the hopeful opening of a wrestling federation based on this island...and considering the unearthly and overwhelming power of The Equalizer and the subsequent imbalance...of available competition for him...The Equalizer will be part of the World Championship division...but...will serve as a regularly scheduled special challenge wrestler...if any wrestler can...somehow beat The Equalizer...then they earn the next World Title shot...
And then The Equalizer spoke:
The Equalizer - We try it...this way...for now...
4. Some Probable Fed Signings: ----------------------------------------------------------------
According to Mike Quackenbush...some of the wrestlers who have preliminarily agreed to signing with a possible fed here so far are:
▪ Women's Division - Sara Del Rey.
▪ Medieval (Hardcore) Division - Homicide.
▪ World Tag Team Division - The Midnight Express - Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane (with Jim Cornette).
▪ World Champion Division - Sami Callihan, Tursas (also with Jim Cornette).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reasonable Items:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The Global Wrestling Alliance - 1960: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher and Phantasy had just returned...once again...they had gone back to the year 1960 to visit Les's friend...and just as Phantasy had thought...Les's friend did want to come..."back to the future"...
He wanted to take an adventure...he just felt as though...he really needed a change...a big change...and once he found out from Les and Phantasy just what was in his future...he decided to alter his fate...
He finally convinced Les and Phantasy that this would be a good idea...because of something Sky Low Low had always said...Sky would often say..."After Sophia Loren...the most important thing in this world...is ratings"...
Just how Les was going to explain his friends...sudden appearance in 2019...still needed to be worked out...for the time being...he is a masked member of the security...
2. The Las Vegans: ------------------------------------------
(The scene was the "No Questions Asked" suite that The Las Vegans now used as a base of operations...present in the room are...Black Suit...Gambler 1...Gambler 2...and Agent 2126...(as they call him)...along with two bottles of Johnny Walker Blue):
Black Suit (to Gambler 1) - So my friend...again your cousin...
Gambler 1 - Is one of the members of dock security...AND...we talked to him...
Gambler 2 (tipsy as usual...but forever trying to be cool) - Yeah...fatter of mact...we're getting hired as...medicinal security until the (hiccup)...end of the tour (hiccup) noment...
Agent 2126 - That's perfect...
Black Suit - Excellent work...I need you guys...to be our men on the ground at the island...before my associate...and I approach the owner..."Mr. McDermott"...I need to know the entire situation as a prerequisite...can I count on you two...dudes...to give me an accurate...assessment?...
Gambler 1 - No worries...We got this...
Gambler 2 - (hiccup)...Pef-initely...
3. The Found: ----------------------------------
(The scene is the general dining area where all the wrestlers typically eat...Mike Quackenbush is eating...whilst deep in thought...when he is approached by):
Cheeseburger - Hey man...
Mike Quackenbush - What up Chee?...
Cheeseburger - Mike...I just wanted to say that I've been thinking about...what you guys said and all about the contracts...and especially how cool...Thatcher has been about...doin the right thing and all...I just want to say...(now in a little lower volume)...I...recently...came into some cash...some mad cash...if you and LT...for what ever reason...become strapped...I can hook...ya's up...
(From the next table over...they both heard a slow and deep hearty chuckle...coming from...the only other person in the dining area at the moment...Mike looks a little quizzically...and Cheeseburger a little nervously...at Sami Callihan...who continues his chuckle...with an almost...sinister tone...)
4. Singapore Screwjob Unlimited: -------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene is...Les Thatcher's and Phantasy's chambers...present at his modest little meeting table is Thatcher...and Jim Cornette...):
Jim Cornette - That beating...that Tursas gave him was just the beginning...
Les Thatcher - Understood...and I don't blame him...say...what actually happened...to you in Malaysia?...
Jim Cornette - We're not talking about it...what we are...talking about...since Quackenbush told me that Steen is staying on when the fed opens...
Les Thatcher - If...the fed opens...
Jim Cornette - Fine...If...the fed opens...along with managing Tursas's career from this point on...The Midnight Express must be added...to the roster...as part of my stable...as well...
Les Thatcher - O.K. but...aren't they a little...old?...
Jim Cornette - Tell them that...also...what's really...going on here?...who is this owner...who sits in his dungeon office all day...like a friggin tarantula...whats his game?...
Les Thatcher - James...it will be an honor to have you...and your stable here...but we're not talking about that either...
Jim Cornette - How come?...
Les Thatcher - Because...if you want us...to offer you and your team...more than enough money...to not care...then you...are going to have to stop caring...right now...
Jim Cornette (after absorbing what Thatcher said for a bit as well as his drift) - You know...who...doesn't care...much?...
Les Thatcher - No...who?...
Jim Cornette - Co...owners...now...they...hardly care...at all...
5. The Killer Elite Squad: --------------------------------------------------
(The scene is...yet another of the "No Questions Asked" suites at the same nearby hotel...present in the room is Dylan McDermott...and Ms. Gargano...who has just asked Dylan McDermott..."What The Hell...Is The Unfound?"...after some thought...he decides to tell her the following...):
Dylan McDermott - It's a...fictional treasure that belonged to TheOld Irish King...and supposedly...was buried somewhere on the island...but was removed during a lighting storm...and an attempted seige of the island...and sank at the bottom...of Lough Key...
Ms. Gargano (after staring specifically right into his eyes...while he told her this story) - Fictional...huh...
Dylan McDermott - Yep...
Ms. Gargano (with a knowing smile) - You almost pulled it off...but you're voice...goes higher in pitch...when you lie...if you ever want to find...My Unfound...again...you'll stop...bullshiting me...
Dylan McDermott (also smiling some now) - I do...want to find you're Unfound again...
Ms. Gargano - That was in a good deep voice...wonderful...keep talking...
Dylan McDermott - Ok...I'm going to level with you...all of what I just said...is actually true...even the part with...it rumored to have sunk to the bottom of the Key...however...I happen to know...of a different tale...that makes more sense...one that I had recently...looked into...
Ms. Gargano - Meaning...
Dylan McDermott - It's not...nor never was inside the castle...but on the island...itself...
6. They're Real...And They're Spectacular: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene is the small dock at Castle Island as the sun was starting to go down...our two Dock Guards have just spotted the raft headed towards the island...):
Smaller Guard - Hey...there's a woman...on the raft this time..
Larger Guard (After looking from a distance at her) - Holy smokes...that's April Hunter!...
Smaller Guard (squinting as much as he can) - Yeah?...how can you be sure?...
Larger Guard - Sweet Lord...I Can...See Em From Here...(slightly pushes his coworker slightly out of the way as he rushes towards the dock)...Out Of The Way...Get Out Of The Way...
7. Questions 67 & 68: -------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menace - So...since Tyler Black beat Adam Cole...so I...get to ask a question...
Les Thatcher - That's true...ask away...
The Dark Menace - It has a few parts...
Les Thatcher - As I expected it would...
(Thatcher was anticipating The Dark Menace to ask him about how much he knew about the 2126 authorities and was he in contact with them...but The Dark Menace showed a different hand...instead):
The Dark Menace - You...and Phantasy...have been dissapearing...from the castle recently...my question is...Where were you going...and Why?...
Les Thatcher (considering how caught off guard he was...he adjusted ptettyquickly and answered) - We actually...went back in time...to the Earth year 1960...to a former fed I wrestled in and was involved in...to see my former best friend...who just so happened...to accompany us back to 2019...to compete here...
The Dark Menace (Not liking this) - Really...who is he?...
Les Thatcher - That's a different question...(suddenly smiling to himself)...however...his initials...are...LT...
(The Dark Menace thought...incredulously to himself...I can't believe it...he actually brought back...a younger version of himself to compete here?...he's even more of a...narcissist...than I am...).
Les Thatcher - So...since I was...so forthcoming...who do you like in the next main event...
The Dark Menace - Fair enough...Brodie Lee...
Les Thatcher - Good...cause I...like Michael Elgin...in this one...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 17th nights matches: ------------------------------------------------
1. A.R. Fox ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations ) vs Justin Credible ( 2 - 2 )
2. Claudio Castagnoli ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination) vs Jerry Lynn ( 2 - 2 )
3. Johnny Gargano ( 2 - 2 ) vs Sabu ( 2 - 2 )
4. Brodie Lee ( 3 - 1 ) vs Michael Elgin ( 3 - 1 ) *
* A bet exists between Les Thatcher and The Dark Menace regarding the outcome of this main event tournament match - If Michael Elgin wins then Les Thatcher gets to ask The Dark Menace absolutely anything he wants - If Brodie Lee wins then The Dark Menace gets to do the asking *

Glad to see my pick won the match Tyler Black. 1. A.R. Fox ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations ) 2. Claudio Castagnoli ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination) 3. Johnny Gargano ( 2 - 2 ) 4. Michael Elgin ( 3 - 1 ) * Morning Crossbones! Yep Tyler Black really wiped the floor with him. Wishing it was a more competitive match but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Expect the unexpected right? I am liking those picks brother - I have most of chapter 18 written and I am hoping to be able to put it all together between today and tomorrow if possible. Big showdown on the horizon where Tyler Black faces off against the only other undefeated wrestler in the tournament - the suprising Sandman. Your support means alot - thanks again!!

Glad to see Konnan gone. Big upset by Tursas and Tyler Black is too much for Adam Cole Bay Bay. Morning TTX! Yep Konnan and his charge Eddie Kingston are on the growing sidelines. Was really pleased when Tursas came in and really put it to Steen. Much more coming from that clash. I was suprised with Cole vs Black - figured that was going to be a long competitive match. Black was too much for him. Although - Adam Cole is still in good shape for sure. More to follow hopefully at some point tonight or tomorrow night. Chapter 18 I hope will have its moments. Always appreciate you're presence here my man!

I'm glad Tyler Black won as well, keeping my pick in the tournament undefeated. I like Elgin to win so Thatcher can ask a question of his own. Morning Mad Kanter! Tyler Black looks outstanding in this tournament. Really curious to see if he wins this sucker. Since it appears that Black is now in cahoots with The Dark Menace, it would be a huge feather in The Menace's cap for his man to take it. I have a question and answer planned either way depending upon if Elgin or Lee wins. But I am 100% with you in hoping that Elgin wins. This little question and answer scenario is something that I've never tried or done before in a fed - I'm trying to stretch my brain here (as much as it can go which isn't very far lol). But trying to cover new ground I guess has been the backbone of this tournament. Always look forward to your take on things and truly thank you for the support my friend!
