Often I see people claim a movie is the worst or one of the worst and I see it and think, what are they talking about. It is every exaggeration or they have not seen many bad movies. This movie while not the worst is one I can use as a bar to show other movies are not as bad as they seem. I watched this due to liking Zombi 2 and this was also a Lucio Fulci movie. (I am going to do a thread on him one of these days). I could not believe he was associated with this until I found out he got sick during filming and had to leave. I mean Zombi 2 is no masterpiece but it is a fun low, low budget horror movie. Plus it has one of the greatest zombie scenes in history. A shark battles a zombie. This was YEARS before SciFi was a channel let alone they did something vs something movies. In Zombi 3 we get a decapitated zombie head that can fly or jump for some reason.
I knew this movie was going to be bad in the first few minutes. A guy had been shot and his hand was green with some disease or something. He walks into a hotel and no evidence of his being shot and his hand was fine. You know, so they did not freak when he got a room. A bit later a houseman takes a pitcher of water and a glass into the mans well lit room. The houseman leaves, bumps into a housekeeper and ends up asking her to go clean the room. It had only been a couple minutes since he left but she goes into a dark room where the table with the pitcher and glass are now gone. Oy vey. Then a few days later people go to the motel and it looks like it has been abandoned for months or years.
I am one to try and find a silver lining so I found one in this movie. For some reason a few different times they had a zombie jump down to attack the people. That gave me the idea for a pair of movies. One is Ninjas vs Zombies with the sequel being Zombie Ninjas. Just need to figure out who to sell this to and how to cash in on it. SciFi and Netflix seem best shots. Anywho, I would not recommend this movie unless you are REALLY bored and there is NOTHING else to watch.
