Losing both him and Ed McMahon on the same day is not fair.

Was watching some of these online, and I have to admit my eyes watered up a little. Like I said earlier, I have a lot of love for Billy Red, as he was a fixture of the wrestling from my childhood. This man's voice was a soundtrack for part of my life, and it is a voice, and a man, that I will miss tremendously!
Let's catch a little Legends Original preview... Godspeed Billy...

Very nice video. As for the match, in 2 out of 3 falls, Lyons upset Frank Gotch to win the World title 2 falls to 1. Taking one fall with the sleeper hold and the other with the figure four leglock while Gotch won his fall with the Iowa backdrop.

RIP
In my LOW fed, I did something different than I've seen from most other LOW feds that I've read by turning Billy "Red" Lyons heel.
A few years ago (inspired by Kennedy in the WWE), I started calling Lyons Mr. Canada and before his matches he started introducing himself as "Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Canadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Canadaaaaaaaaa!"
He's one of my favorite heels in my fed even though I know most people rightfully recall him as a face.
RIP.
