They would have to be 8-0 right? The way I read it, it's supposed to be best of 15. If and only if it is tied at 7, they would have a torture chamber match for the decider.

I'm sorry ahead of time to Jim, but if Wolf left today and never came back I would have no problem with it. Hes so overdone and I don't like how he can live past all these other classic characters in the game, He has been there since the beginning! come on! AMEN. GO AWAY ALREADY!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

Ok, so I ran Wolf vs. Monolith in a Cosmic Cage Match (# of matches = 5) and here were my results:
Wolf (l3o6): SAVAGE FACE CLAW (roll) Wolf sinks the SAVAGE FACE CLAW in deeply! (Roll: 6) One ... two ... three! (Roll: 6, Target: 8)
And Wolf takes the fall! Match duration: 2:54 Final PIN ratings: Wolf (0), Monolith (2)
==================================
Monolith (l3o6): THE END OF ALL THINGS (+5)* Monolith connects! (Roll: 3) One ... two ... three! (Roll: 5, Target: 6)
And Monolith takes the fall! Match duration: 8:00 Final PIN ratings: Monolith (3), Wolf (1)
====================================
Wolf (l3o6): SAVAGE FACE CLAW (roll) Wolf sinks the SAVAGE FACE CLAW in deeply! (Roll: 4) One ... two ... three! (Roll: 10, Target: 10)
And Wolf takes the fall! Match duration: 8:00 Final PIN ratings: Wolf (1), Monolith (6)
=======================================
Wolf (l2o6): Wolf Skullcrusher - 3 Add 1 What a devastating move! (Add a fatigue token to Monolith) Monolith (l3d1): PIN 3 (0) One ... two ... three! (Roll: 5, Target: 6)
And Wolf takes the fall! Match duration: 21:03 Final PIN ratings: Wolf (5), Monolith (6)
=========================================
Wolf (l3o6): SAVAGE FACE CLAW (roll) Wolf sinks the SAVAGE FACE CLAW in deeply! (Roll: 3) One ... two ... three! (Roll: 3, Target: 6)
And Wolf takes the fall! Match duration: 10:56 Final PIN ratings: Wolf (5), Monolith (3)
=========================================
So, to assume that Wolf stands no chance with Monolith would be wrong. I am not saying he will always win 4 out of 5...but he just did!

Why the Wolf hate? Wolf is an icon. I've been "following his career" for twenty-two years now! Since I was in grade school! He is to me what Spider-Man or Captain American is to some comic book fans. Cap has been around since the 40s and no one clamors for him to call it quits! Man, they just brought him back to huge fanfare. The GWF isn't held to the same constraints as "real-time wrestling" where guys get old and need to go. And time and age are really different things when we're talking about half-animals and guys who look like lizards! In the future no less. The average lifespan of an earthling used to be, like, 55 years at one point. If we still measure time the same way by 2124 imagine how long even an "average human" will last.
This best of 15 challenge is a great way to either send Wolf out on a high-note or create a new legend in Monolith, a passing of the torch of sorts. Either way, I'm booking it as something special. Wolf has done well against Monolith for me (I have to look, but I'm pretty sure Monolith's only singles pinfall losses ever are to Sly and Wolf) and I don't think this will be a blowout either way.

When Wolf came back, I had mixed emotions as I have never been a fan of the mutt...I think he is overrated and seriously has a case of the mange...on the other hand, my oldest flipped out and he bumped his fed from 2087 to 2122 for that reason alone...
Sadly in the cotg universe (storyline wise), the face factions hardly ever lose in the GWF and I forcast Wolf winning but retiring anyway...
On other comebacks e.g. Spike...he is still my fav of all the cards in the universe but his comeback kind of made his career turn sour and I think that will happen to Wolf...
Wolf is the Favre of the GWF..I'm retiring..oh wait, nevermind...no, this time I mean it...no, one more year...etc...

Personally, I'm not hating on Wolf, and I'm not even "clamoring" for him to go. I just think it's time. My personal observation is that Wolf vs. Monolith this year seems secondary to all of the other great things going on in 2124. This has nothing to with age. It just feels like there isn't much left for him, and I sense Tom is sensing this. What else can he do? Time after time, Wolf has asserted himself in a top feud. We've had countless press conferences interrupted with a surprise "Owooooooo!" He's left and comeback before. And it won't exactly be fresh if Wolf "turned heel" and sided with a villain team just because "that's where the action is." It's all been done before. How can he leave, yet again, and comeback to any sort of fanfare when we've got top guys like Monolith and Sly Drury sticking around developing their characters and growing on us? What scenario could present itself where we would all hope for Wolf to come back and make his presence known?
Fast forward to 2130: Epoch is leading the villain team. Tricks is threating the GWF in horrific ways we've never imagined. Hector is reigning a top the rankings. Suddenly, Wolf jumps out of nowhere with an "Owoooooo!" and says he's cleaning house and taking names. I don't know about you but....groan!
Let's pretend for a moment that the GWF is "real" and we're all fans. Would you say you're more a fan of the GWF or more a fan of Wolf? If you're more a fan of the GWF, how can you not root for Monolith here? Unless of course you're sending Wolf out with a bang. BUT IF THAT'S THE CASE, IT HAS TO BE FOR GOOD. Otherwise it's all cheapened and something redundant begins--again.
If you're more a fan of Wolf than of the GWF let's just hope the Intergalactic Discovery Channel develops a reality show following him around in the wilderness so you can get your fix.
