Ok, so something that I have been thinking about for a while now...
While I was origionally going to just limit this to only COTG characters (by purchasing the "storm the ring and brawl set), i've lately been thinking of expanding it to include ALL Official cards compatible with the COTG game mechanic. My idea is this:
Purchase every card for GWF, LOW, LOTF, GWFZ, etc, etc. and have a HUGE tournament to determine who really is the greatest of them all. Each different game would be in its own bracket, with no cross-overs until the final "X" number of guys are left.
Has anyone ever done anything like this before? It would be very time consuming but also a lot of fun i think.
I was thinking of having every match be No DQ, maybe even 2 of 3 falls. This would truely let the best of the best advance.
Ideas? suggestions? feedback?

Actually I have many times, but would never have the time
I'm guessing this could be run pretty easily in the SIM if you have CAC cards and have everyone inputed.
I'd be anal and have to run it every year, since new guys are entering...and that would take even more time!!!

I'd say do it.. id love to see who comes out on top... the no DQ is a good idea.. I hate when matches end that way. But yeah obviously Monolith is the best but he's not impossible to beat.

We actually did this back at GalactiCon 4 (I think), but there were way fewer cards then. I think Star Warrior 2090 won.

Sounds awesome, Carl. I'd love to see how it turns out and who is truly the best.

Sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't think it'll necessarily determine the greatest of them all. About 12 years ago I did one of those. I went all out, wallpapering the dining room with poster board and having a huge brackets drawn up.
Mighty Grogan won.

Yeah I was there for that purplesteve lol ... I think there are too many variables to do a single elimination. I think the best solution would be throw all the cards in a pile, randomly draw two superstars and play a best of seven series between the two to see who trually is best and even with that you still may not have the best advance!
