Just watching that WWE tag teams dvd that came out. When Red Bastien hits a regular style Atomic Drop on Ray Stevens the commentator acts like that's his finisher.
But in the legends book it says his ATOMIC DROP is a airplane spin and then drop onto the knee.
Which is correct? Just exactly trying to picture his finish in my head.

I dunno which is correct but I've always used it as the regular old fashioned atomic drop myself.

If I recall correctly, the source we had for Red Bastien's finisher was...Red Bastien. At the time, we couldn't find much video on him. I think Tom called him to get some detail on moves.
Red is generally considered one of the best workers of his era, so I'm sure he used the standard atomic kneedrop as a big move at some point in his career.

Since Red Bastien is the source, that is enough convincing for me. : - )
