Having pinned Thantos on two seperate occassions in my fed, both in tag matches, he's definetly deserving of a title shot. Since Thantos won the title in January, his first defence is in February.
My question is: should Star Warrior get his shot in February or shall I save it untill the Supercard in March (I run them every other month, the same way WCW used to do with Clash of Champions)?

In theory your February card should help to sell your big show in March. Given the lead up Star Warrior challenging Thantos for the title sounds like a perfect money match that should be protected and enhanced going in. If you already have a few of your other March programs planned out you can use the February card as a teaser. A 6 man/8 man elimination tag main event with Star Warrior & Thantos as respective Team Captains could build tension/controversy with any result for all involved. If Star Warrior gets pinned it invites the question of 'is he really ready'? If Thantos gets pinned 'could his time be up'? If either or both get eliminated by someone else it creates back-burner programs that can be further explored after the March blow off. You can go an extra step by stipulating that the wrestler that scores the series clinching fall gets to set the exact terms of his match-up in March (ie. type of match, consequences for losing, etc.).

You could also have Warrior fight through Thantos' cronies before hand (Executioner, Terror, Exo-King).. I find that to be a better build than the multi-man tag match, if it works.
The downside being Star Warrior could lose.

I agree with wildfire...fight through the cronies...
As to Warrrior 'accidently' losing...remember that the reason that Thantos has him fight those these guys are to wear and tear (and possibly hurt) Star Warrior before their match. They don't care about wins. So expect lots of interferance (possibly on both sides).

The downside being Star Warrior could lose. That carries a lot of potential downside! At this stage SW is the equivalent of a well built challenger. He's pinned the Champion twice so his credibility as a challenger is solidly established. Having Star Warrior fight through the cronies in singles matches carries a high risk to low reward ratio. In terms of risk (and assuming the dice call the shot) if SW loses one (or more) lead in matches it would disturb the very aura that is the prime selling point of the Thantos/Star Warrior Main Event at the Supercard. It would be like Andre The Giant getting pinned by Jake Roberts before WM 3. Not good. On the flip side if SW runs through a steady stream of Thantos' henchmen (Exo-King, Executioner, etc) in singles matches a few weeks 'before' he wins the title, you've just hot shotted what could have been lucrative title programs should SW win the belt. The fans will have already been there & done that without the belt on the line. That's a needlessly hard sell. Vince Russo was famous for doing the later type of 'burn through the candle' booking in WCW. The worst was with what should have been a lucrative championship run by Goldberg. Instead of methodically building multi-match PPV programs (vs Bigelow, Sting, Steiner, Booker T) it was a constant stream of one night hot shot singles matches on Nitro. Run-ins and screw jobs replaced well tiered builds with concrete pay offs and the decline in ratings and buy rates coincided.

Well then, Star Warrior's first title shot shall come in March at the Ides of March Supercard. The only question now is, who does Thantos defend against in February?

Massif is always a good guy to go up against Thantos. I have also had good battles between Thantos and Commander Sam.
