So, yeah, I really like the GWF. I tried to get into it a few years ago when I bought 2087. That was my introduction, but I quickly moved to LOW. However, I'm STOKED I started running my GWF at 2119. I feel I can catch up, yet I'm having A LOT of fun playing; every card is a BLAST! I don't think any hobby has given me this much FUN! I LOVE games, writing, creating, fantasy booking, cool characters, fun communities, and wrestling. This game has it all! I'm loving reading the great GWF feds, too! I wish I could shake Tom's hand.
Anyway, I just wanted to give my thoughts on the 2119 wrestlers... I pretty much LOVE all the characters, but I can't seem to get into Steele Freak or Slave Beast. They fit well with their gimmicks and story, but I just don't care about them. Are there, or were there any characters in 2119 you just didn't like?
My favorites have to be Swarm and The Amazing Mann. I LOVE their looks, gimmicks, moves, and stories. I'm really pushing Swarm to be the champion, but he's got to get through a friendly match with Endgame. Sorry about the ramblin'... I'm just having too much FUN with these characters. I can't wait to catch up with some of you guys. There seems to be some great characters ahead of me, even though there are so many from the past I'll probably never get to.
What are or were your thoughts on 2119 and the characters?

I was you three years ago. Although I originally started playing in 1996, I played off and on and never had a consistent fed. When I got back into the game I was skeptical at starting my fed in 2119, but going to Galacticon and reading all the old editions made me in the know, even if I didn't play them.
As far as characters go Endgame, Disaster, and Bloodline dominated the fed for me until Monolith came along. The tag scene was Havoc and Paralyze's stomping grounds, with a decent reign by Stars and Stripes.
Depending upon how many cards you play per game year, you can catch up in no time. I've been playing 36 and that works for me.
Regardless of all that it's great to have you here. And even if you're not current, if you have the cards and want to be involved in the promoter ranking, check out the ultimate tournaments in each issue of the promoter! Get involved, you'll love it!

I'm actually running two shows a month with four PPVs a year, so that's like 28.
