Big fan of Leva Bates, but Angelus Layne is just too tough for words... Cool match to open up the show...
Nothing puts the cap on a rivalry quite like an 'I Quit' Match... Great job by Knight in this one... I really like how you combined the hardcore match rules to play it out... Excellent idea!
Melissa & DelRay vs. Canadian Ninjas... Inside a steel cage... For the Shimmer Tag Team Championship... Can you beat that? Nay, I say...
It seems that LuFisto truly didn't mean to retain her title by getting disqualified... But, it certainly made for a great visual in the moment... Hopefully, these competitors will be given another chance to showcase their talent against each other for the big prize...
As I've stated many times, I don't follow much in the way of female wrestling... But, feds like yours are certainly providing me with enought inspiration to try starting my own female division (as an OutBreak spin-off)... We'll see how it goes...
Excellent action with so much going on... Sometimes I have to read it through a few times in order to truly appreciate the great work you do with each and every show... Keep it up and thank you so much for sharing with everyone!

Thanks for the comments on the SHIMMER card Crimson and Pariah. I am also a fan of Leva (Blue Pants!) but she had a tough opponent to deal with there. There will be an announcement forthcoming on a Lufisto vs. Mercedes Martinez rematch so stay tuned. Glad you enjoyed the set-up for the Melissa/Del Ray-Ninjas rematch in the Steel Cage, I had a lot of fun with that especially since Melissa won that match in like two moves. We don't have I Quit match rules so I just used the ten tokens for quitting as a rule and figured the hardcore death match rules would make it easier to get there. It worked out really well so I would do that again if I have another I Quit match.
Ok, coming up later this week (hopefully!) will be the IWA King of Trios event so as a reminder here are the opening round matches:
The three-day tournament will open up at The Palmer Center in Easton, PA (Card #908) with night two being held at the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, PA (Card #909) and the finals taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA (Card #910). The following are the first round matches:
House of Truth (Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven) vs. Dem Boys of War (Mark Briscoe, Jay Briscoe, & Eddie Kingston)
OLDE Wrestling Nation (Matthew Cross, Big Sue Jackson, & Marion Fontaine) vs. O'Shea Can You Sea reDRagon (Mikey O'Shea, Bobby Fish, & Kyle O'Reilly)
The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, & Green Ant) vs. Ultra-Calli-Mack (Ultramantis Black, Sami Callihan, & Willie Mack)
Feel The Bang! (Diamond Dallas Page, Mister ZERO, & Tommy End) vs. 3.Ole (El Generico & 3.0)
UK Elite (Nigel McGuinness, Finlay, & Drew Galloway) vs. Sleazy Best Friends (Joey Ryan, Chuck Taylor, & Trent Barreta)
House of Humperdink (Ox Baker, Kevin Sullivan, & Eddie Gilbert) vs. Sky High (Rob Van Dam, Ricochet, & PJ Black)
Project VAL (Tursas, Brodie Lee, & Jay Lethal) vs. American Dragon Wolves (Bryan Danielson, Davey Richards, & Eddie Edwards)
Pringle Dynasty (Mike Quackenbush, Brian Cage, & Lance Hoyt) vs. Bullet Club (AJ Styles, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson)

I have been away from the game for a few weeks (thanks in part to Windows 10 but I won’t get into here). Great to see you back up and running and hope your recovery is going well.
The Tokyo Dome show was simply awesome. From opening match to main event it was hard to pick out a favourite and you delivered classic Japanese action. Loved the variety of action that you always see from New Japan cards. It makes the time fly by. Great statement from Styles and The Bucks and the big title change as well. The bar will be high next time your action heads to Japan.
Interesting roster moves but appears that main event talent is staying put for the time being. Although it will be interesting to see what Lewis can do as a free agent and to see Tolos as a solo act.
Really enjoyed Valentine retaining via disqualification although I was surprized that Albano was able to recover from his beating at the hands of the macho man earlier in the night, Lots of return matches to look forward to out of this card.
Surprised to see the team of King and D-Lo Brown give Hawk & Animal all they could handle in Mobile. The territory seems to have plenty of teams that could be in contention. These and Muldon burned the house down in Chicago.
The action from the Pacific Coast Wrestling continued to be top notch. Enjoyed Gomez getting the elimination on DLJ to win the battle royal. Savage & DLJ against Bastien & Lyons should a fun showdown on the next card.
Bring on the King of Trios. Hard to pick a winning team. Great balance but Dem Boys of War could be hard to beat.

Thanks for that great recap of the recent action Bookerbill and it is good to see you back. My recovery is going ok, I am undergoing physical therapy and will be for a few more weeks. It sucks and keeps me away from regular dice rolling but I'm still getting some stuff done. Ask and you shall receive as here is the opening night of the IWA King of Trios event. I hope to have the full tournament posted soon...
IWA King of Trios - Night One - The Palmer Center - Easton, PA (Card #908)
●IWA Commissioner Davis Marquez welcomed an SRO crowd to the Palmer Center for the opening night of the first ever IWA King of Trios event. He thanked the fans for their support and also acknowledged the hard work of LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox, Cary Silkin, Gabe Sapolsky and Bryce Remsburg in helping to put together the three nights of action. In going over the rules for the tournament matches he said that they would follow the traditional CHIKARA rules for trios matches with the lucha libre rules in effect. The three nights would also feature an LOW Tex-Arkana Television title match with the “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin challenging Roderick Strong for the title and the returning Rey De Voladores tournament to determine the best of the high flyers.
As he was attempting to wrap up and call for the tournament to begin he was interrupted by the word “Moose” being repeatedly said over a rhythmic beat from the public address system. Suddenly a large tattooed man emerged from the crowd and entered the ring to confront Marquez. The 6’5” and 300-pound man made for an intimidating presence as he stood over Marquez. After a few tense moments he grabbed the mic and said that his name is Moose and that after a stellar career in the NFL he is coming to the IWA to bring destruction on all who dare to oppose him. Marquez responded that he has great potential but he doesn’t have an IWA contract so that if he didn’t leave the ring security would have to be called in. Moose responded that wouldn’t be necessary and that he was willing to fight for a contract and that he was calling out the best there is, the “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson, for a match. Marquez said that Danielson is busy but that he liked the idea and said that if Moose wants an opportunity he will get it and he would face Danielson at Legion Stadium in El Monte, CA (Card #912) for the opportunity to win a contract.
1) Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven defeated Mark Briscoe, Jay Briscoe, & Eddie Kingston: The opening match of the tournament saw Dem Boys of War (Mark Briscoe, Jay Briscoe, & Eddie Kingston) take on the House of Truth (Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven, with Truth Martini). The action in this match was pretty intense including the Briscoe’s’ and Kingston jumping the House of Truth before the bell as they tried to intimidate ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker. All six men had key spots in the match including Jay hitting the Jay Driller on Taven only to have the pin broken up and a six-way brawl being set off. Taven later hit a nice dive off of the top rope to the floor on Mark and was assisted by Delirious in hitting Hail Mary, a spike piledriver, on him for a big near fall. The finish of a tumultuous battle was very controversial as Delirious caught Jay with Red Poison, a spray of red mist to the face, and rolled him up to score the pin. The House of Truth picked up a huge win to advance in the tournament while Jay, with red mist covering his face, had to be restrained from going after Delirious during a post-match altercation.
2) Matthew Cross, Big Sue Jackson, & Marion Fontaine defeated Mikey O’Shea, Bobby Fish, & Kyle O’Reilly: Team OWN – Olde Wrestling Nation (Matthew Cross, Big Sue Jackson, & Marion Fontaine) took on O’Shea Can You Sea reDRagon (Mikey O’Shea, Bobby Fish, & Kyle O’Reilly) in a match featuring a dramatic comeback for the winning team. One big highlight of the match saw the 330-pound O’Shea execute a dive over the top rope onto the 366-pound Jackson and then hit the Irish Car Bomb for a near fall. This match was mostly dominated by O’Shea Can You Sea reDRagon and they got the heat on Jackson for an extended stretch. Cross impressed with his strength and caught the larger O’Shea with a press slam for a near fall during one exchange. Fish and O’Reilly were equally impressive on their end showing just why reDRagon is considered one of the top teams in the IWA. The finish saw OWN in bad shape before Cross mounted a major comeback against Fish and executed an airplane spin before locking on the Bow and Arrow for a submission victory.
3) The Colony defeated Ultramantis Black, Sami Callihan, & Willie Mack: The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, & Green Ant) went into this match with Ultra-Calli-Mack (Ultramantis Black, Sami Callihan, & Willie Mack) on a mission. The popular ant trio have never won or even made the finals in the four previous King of Trios tournaments held under the LOW banner. With the IWA taking over the reigns from CHIKARA it was the ants hoping that they could make a statement in this match with three tough opponents. It turned out that they could and it was over in fairly quick fashion when the ants combined on The Ant Hill, which has Soldier and Green Ant holding the opponent in place between them while Fire Ant does a splash off of their shoulders. The victim was Ultramantis Black and it was Fire Ant making the cover to score the pin as Callihan and Mack failed to make the save.
4) El Generico, Scott Parker, & Shane Matthews defeated Diamond Dallas Page, Mister ZERO, & Tommy End: Talk about a match that had everything as it was 3.Ole (El Generico, Scott “Jagged” Parker, & “Big Magic” Shane Matthews) going against Feel The Bang! (Diamond Dallas Page, Mister ZERO, & Tommy End). DDP recruited his teammates based on both ZERO and End just missing out on the fan vote to receive IWA contracts while of course 3.Ole have a long history of teaming together. That worked in the favor of 3.Ole in the early going as they twice hit the Super 3.Ole’ Kick and Generico caught ZERO with the Brainbustaaahhh!!! for a big near fall. A great moment saw DDP avoid a dropkick by Matthews and hit a jaw breaker followed by the Diamond Cutter for a big near fall. ZERO and End prevented a save there but DDP was just late in making the cover allowing Matthews the chance to kick out. End, who hails from the Netherlands, was really impressive anytime that he was in. He nearly won it for Feel The Bang! at one point when he hit the Owari Death Foot Stomp on Parker scoring a two count. The crowd was going crazy by the finish which saw Generico catch ZERO with a suicide dive and rolling him up for a two count back inside. Moments later, as 3.0 cut off a save attempt by DDP and End, it was Generico executing the Spike Brainbuster on ZERO to score the pin.
5) Joey Ryan, Chuck Taylor, & Trent Barreta defeated Nigel McGuinness, Finlay, & Drew Galloway: UK Elite (Nigel McGuinness, Finlay, & Drew Galloway) came in a heavy favorite as they took on Sleazy Best Friends (Joey Ryan, Chuck Taylor, & Trent Barreta) in this match. Many expected UK Elite to run through the opposition and possibly go to the finals only it all fell apart for them, though they went down in the proverbial blaze of glory. This was an incredible match and maybe the best of the night to this point. Both sides had exceptional runs of offense and there were some terrific near falls. McGuinness hit the Jawbreaker Lariat on Taylor during the heat of the action but Barreta made a last second save. Finlay took a great beating from all three of the opponents and at one point survived a slew of near falls when he was in against Barreta. The crowd backed the tough Irish veteran who recently joined the AWE after a long run with the GWA. Galloway proved to be a real force for his team often setting up pin chances but the Sleazy Best Friends always found a way to escape. Taylor was the one who led his team to victory when he caught a fatigued Finlay with a missile dropkick and followed up with Sole Food to score the pin. After it was over the crowd gave all six men a well deserved standing ovation for their efforts. There were repeated chants of “Finlay, Finlay, Finlay” for the performance put on by the “Belfast Bruiser” as it took everything the Sleazy Best Friends had to put him away on this night.
6) Rob Van Dam, Ricochet, & PJ Black defeated Ox Baker, Kevin Sullivan, & Eddie Gilbert: The popular team of Sky High (Rob Van Dam, Ricochet, & PJ Black) took on the House of Humperdink (Ox Baker, Kevin Sullivan & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert) who appeared courtesy of the SWA. Manager Sir Oliver Humperdink was in the corner for his men and up until show time there was a chance that Sullivan might not appear due to LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox mulling a suspension. Cox ultimately decided to allow Sullivan to compete but fined him an undisclosed sum for his brutal attack on Blackjack Mulligan on a recent SWA card. The HOH team was very impressive in the early going and in fact Sullivan was the star of the team. He dominated during most of his time in including punishing Ricochet with a vicious assault. Baker nearly won it for the HOH when he hit RVD with a clothesline scoring a two count. Baker was also on the receiving end of some near falls courtesy of roundhouse kick to the head by RVD and a jumping spin kick by Black. The finish of a wild bout saw Gilbert do a top rope dive to the floor taking out all five men. RVD, who was the legal man for his team, managed to recover first and then set up Gilbert for his trademark Van Terminator resulting in the pin. The crowd cheered wildly for the victory by Sky High as Humperdink vehemently protested the decision saying that RVD should have been disqualified for using the controversial move.
7) Tursas, Brodie Lee, & Jay Lethal defeated Bryan Danielson, Davey Richards, & Eddie Edwards: The heavily favored American Dragon Wolves (Bryan Danielson, Davey Richards, & Eddie Edwards) faced the tough team of Project VAL (Tursas, Brodie Lee, & Jay Lethal) who were accompanied by their manager, the beautiful SoCal Val. This was another epic battle that could have gone either way. Tursas nearly won it in the opening minute when he avoided a corner charge by Danielson and splashed him for a two count. The Wolves helped rally their team and looked great on offense. It was Edwards coming away with a near fall on the massive Tursas courtesy of an impressive belly to back sit-out facebuster. Val provided timely interference at one point when Richards had Lethal pinned with a roll-up after a suicide dive. Lethal took full advantage and caught Richards in the Koji Clutch going for the submission but it was broken up in the ropes. A couple of more near falls built to a wild finish which saw Tursas lay out Edwards with the Black Hole Slam. Lethal then tagged in and hit Diving Dynamite on Edwards to score the pin. Project VAL picked up a huge win in advancing to the second round of the tournament.
8) AJ Styles, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson defeated Mike Quackenbush, Brian Cage, & Lance Hoyt: The final match of the opening round saw the official debut of Bullet Club (AJ Styles & The Young Bucks, Matt & Nick Jackson) as they faced the Pringle Dynasty (IWA Heavyweight champion “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush, “The Machine” Brian Cage, & Lance Hoyt). Manager Percy Pringle III was in the corner for his men hoping to lead them to a big victory. Bullet Club made a big statement on the recent KRU show at the Tokyo Dome (Card #901) announcing their formation and were hoping to follow that up with a victory in King of Trios. This was another epic battle with both teams coming close to victory. As with the previous match it nearly ended in the opening minute as Quackenbush hit the Quackendriver IV on Styles for a near fall. The Bucks would gain some revenge for Styles during the contest as they nearly beat Quackenbush with both the Meltzer Driver and the Indytaker. Cage and Hoyt used their size and brute strength to steer the Pringle Dynasty through much of the bout and it looked like Bullet Club would be eliminated from the tournament. Quackenbush scored a big near fall on Nick late in the bout after hitting the Quackendriver III. A short time later it was the Bucks hitting the spectacular More Bang For Your Buck on Cage and Styles, who made a blind tag, dove on top of him to score the pin. It was a big statement made by Bullet Club as they eliminated the Pringle Dynasty from the tournament.

Dynamic opening round to your King of Trios event!
Love how things opened up with Moose coming out of the crowd... And what a way for him to introduce himself... By calling out Bryan Danielson... Talk about confidence...
Very pleased with the victory by Team OWN... Never would've expected them to get past O'Shea Can You See reDRagon... And along with the entire audience, I marked out for Sky High knocking House of Humperdink out of the running... Was really expecting American Dragon Wolves to advance to the next round, but Project VAL were able to power their way past the talented trio...
The Pringle Dynasty sported an impressive lineup, but I think Bullet Club could be the team to beat in this tournament... It's been super exciting thus far and it's just got started... Excellent work!

A good start to the IWA King of Trios and I was hoping Mikey O'Shea & reDRagon would've won their match, but I really like the victory by Project VAL of Tursas, Brodie Lee, & Jay Lethal. I'm taking them to win it all...

Great card! Surprised by a lot of outcomes. Upsets galore IMO.
It looks like you've got some big plans for Moose. Hopefully he can hold up his end of the bargain and have a competitive match against Danielson.
Good idea putting Bullet Club on last. With all the upsets it seems like they have a good shot at going all the way.

I have to agree with spaceman regarding the number of upsets. Never a bad thing. It will be interesting to follow the fallout between the Briscoes and the House of Truth. Jay Briscoe v. Delirous in a Fight without Honor would be epic. The action between Jackson and O’Shea looked nuts and that Irish Car Bomb would have shook The Palmer Center foundation. Glad to see Cross put his best beard forward and get the submission win.
Perhaps a lack of experience teaming cost Ulra-Calli-Mack the win as the Colony looks strong heading into the next round.
Not to surprising that Zero took the fall in his match but the contest looked like it could have gone either way. Sky High looks like a solid trio and could go deep into the tournament. SoCal Val proved to the difference in Project VALs upset but will lightening strike again in the next round? Bullet Club going over was a great way to end the first night but it looked like Quackenbush, Cage and Hyot gave them all they could handle.
Looking forward to the next round and to The American Dragon making Moose tap.

Thanks for the comments Pariah, Crimson, Spaceman and Bookerbill. That was a really fun opening round and I agree on the upsets. As for myself I was expecting the Briscoes & Kingston, McGuinness/Finlay/Calloway and American Dragon Wolves to go far in the tournament but all three teams got eliminated in the first round. It is wide open now and I hope to have night two posted either tonight or tomorrow.
I forgot to list the second round matches so here they are:
House of Truth vs. Olde Wrestling Nation The Colony vs. 3.Ole Sleazy Best Friends vs. Sky High Project VAL vs. Bullet Club
On a side note the angle with Moose challenging Bryan Danielson came off of a roll on the David Marquez card. I am really enjoying that card it has the potiental to shake things up in the IWA which is a good thing. Thanks again for reading and commenting on the action.
