Another fun event, but man the Bolsheviks at 0-3 is a bummer. The Highlight for me is Angelo Mosca winning his fight over P.N.News, so I'm looking to see where Mosca goes from there...

Thanks for the comments everyone, I especially liked the battle lines being drawn by the Bobo Brazil and AJ Styles supporters. For the record Styles was pretty dominant in that bout but Brazil showed great resilience and does have three LOW World title reigns to his credit so he has definitely had a great career in my fed. It will be interesting to see how Bobo handles the special referee assignment for Styles-Andre II in Montreal. Jobber83, I hear you but I think part of the fun is seeing Jim Cornette agonize over big losses by the Midnight Express Crimson, Volkoff & Zhukov have been in every match thus far so at least they have a hard fought 0-3. Hopefully they will see some success soon. Pariah, that was a great recap of the night in Toronto but I think you missed something - the card was bridged by wins from Sabu and AJ Styles Thanks again everyone and I hope to have the Montreal show posted soon.

Match Highlights: They said that it couldn’t happen again but it did although not without plenty of controversy. AJ Styles pinned Andre the Giant for the second consecutive time, this time in defense of the LOW World Heavyweight title, with Bobo Brazil as the special referee. Andre and his manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan were not happy with the decision by LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox that allowed Brazil to be in this position and it showed. Andre and Brazil got into several verbal disagreements during the match, often as Andre had Styles in a vulnerable position. Styles found it very difficult to combat the size of Andre this time around showing that the former champion and his manager were better prepared for him in this rematch. The high point for Styles came when he caught Andre in the Calf Killer nearly forcing him to tap out. Andre regained control and hit the sitdown splash for a big near fall and loudly argued with Brazil claiming a slow count. Moments later as the argument intensified it was Brazil losing his cool and delivering the Big Hammer Punch to Andre who fell backward over Styles. That ended up with Styles rolling over the legs of Andre into a pinning position as Brazil made a quick three count ending the match. The crowd erupted in cheers as Styles did the improbable and retain the title.
Andre and Heenan were livid over the outcome of the match and immediately cornered Brazil but he stood his ground. Heenan then saw Styles grabbing the title belt and jumped on his back driving both men to the mat. Andre, meanwhile, choked Brazil as Heenan scrambled back to his feet and put the boots to the world champion. It was a wild scene made even wilder as Styles recovered and blasted Heenan with the Pele Kick. Andre released his hold attempting to go after Styles but Brazil grabbed him and delivered a series of Coco Butts. Andre fell out of the ring as Brazil raised the arm of Styles in victory. It was later announced that Styles and Brazil will face Andre and Heenan in the main event on the next card at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #1135).
Kevin Sullivan and his dangerous Army of Darkness (Lord Zoltan, BJ Whitmer, “The Punishment” Damien Martinez & Blackwater) went “0” for Canada. Sullivan lost his first one-on-one match with Bruiser Brody while Whitmer, Martinez and Blackwater lost to Jimmy Valiant, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Pampero Firpo. Brody scored a convincing win over Sullivan but clearly their war is far from over. The six-man tag saw Whitmer take a beating at the end though he survived a Flying Spear from Duggan before tapping out to the El Garfio claw by Firpo. Coupled with Zoltan’s loss to LOW Junior Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask in Toronto the night before it is clear that Sullivan is going to have to come up with a new formula if he is going to win the war with Brody and his allies.
The KRU Real World Tag League tournament continued with matches in both the A Block and the B Block. Jushin Liger & Wani picked up their first tournament win beating another winless A Block team in Drew Gulak & Anthony Nese. This was a good bout with all four men putting in solid performances. Gulak nearly put Wani away with the University Stretch late before a hot tag to Liger led to him hitting his trademark Fisherman’s Buster for the win. Devastation Corporation handed the Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons) their first loss in the B Block, surviving a solid offensive from the GAW stars. Lyons, a native of Canada, nearly won it for his team before a Black Hole Slam by Blaster McMassive led to the finish. The win by Devastation Corporation set up a five-way tie for the lead in the B Block.
Mildred Burke made a successful version seven defense of the Ring Angels title turning back the challenge of the inaugural champion Penny Banner. A great bout ended with both women down after a double corner clothesline before Burke hit a sunset flip for a near fall followed by a Jumping Knee for the pin…The longtime rivalry between the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) and Steve Williams & Terry Gordy saw the former tag team champions battling it out in a brutal match. Hawk wound up getting his team disqualified when he lost his cool battering Gordy with several chair shots…Tommy Rich and Ted Dibiase also continued their rivalry squaring off in a great bout. Both men looked good on offense and survived their respective finishing moves. Rich gained the upper hand late and hit the Thesz Press but Virgil, the bodyguard of Dibiase, broke up the pin resulting in the disqualification…Chris Sabin pulled off a huge upset win over “Ravishing” Rick Rude that left both Rude and his manager J.J. Dillon in shock. Rude was visibly upset and had to be restrained by LOW officials in the back as he tore up his dressing room…and, mighty midget stars and Quebec natives Little Beaver and Sky Low Low thoroughly entertained the crowd in their match. Among the highlights were Beaver missing a second rope splash and then getting gassed out as he chased after Sky around ringside. Sky scored the win in the end and celebrated by spinning on his head with a playful assist from Beaver.

A great win for Styles in that he retained against Andre... but that win will always have an asterisk by it due to Bobo's involvement.
Still... the man is the champion for a reason.
An all-around great card full of action which is pretty much par for the course with LOW.
Final thoughts?
Sullivan is going to have to put together an entirely new crew of minions if he wants to get the better end of the deal when facing off against Bruiser Brody and Friends.
It's BRUISER BRODY for gawd's sake!

100% clean or not, that's two... Count 'em... ONE, TWO pinfall victories for The Face that Runs this Place over the Eighth Wonder of the World... You know what that makes AJ Styles? Oh yes, you do... PHENOMENAL! If you don't mind giving your loyal audience a peek behind the curtain, my friend... How did you determine that Brazil would attack Andre, potentially costing him the match? Was it a special referee chart made specifically for LOW? That's something I've not seen before - probably in the LOW Ringside Companion, I suppose... I'd love to hear the mechanics behind that successful title defense... This also seems to be leading towards a program between Brazil and Andre, which is good news... Time to take the Giant out of the title picture... At least for a little while. Definitely looking forward to the tag team match that's gonna put Heenan within reach of the STYLES CLASH! Clever job by Williams & Gordy - Pushing Hawk's buttons until he got himself and his partner DQ'd... The Roadies are the toughest challengers around and any decision over them is a good one... Pleased that Sabin pulled off the upset over Rude... And the World Tag League is getting really competitive with so many teams still in the running to wind up on top... Absolutely entertaining!

Wow! Block A has two 3-0 powerful teams and Block B is truly a race of the fittest, that is crazy stuff. That is very cool that Bobo Brazil helped Styles keep the gold, but I'm sure Andre and Heenan will fight it some how...

Awesome card from Montreal. So much history in that City and this event would have added to it. You must have been pleased with the end result which sets up your MSG main event nicely and spins Andre off into a another direction (at least for a bit) while allowing him to maintain a legit reason to demand a rematch. This storyline has some legs for sure.
Enjoying the fact the Japanese teams are dominating the A block.

Hey cruefan68! Great stuff - The Phenom retains and the match sparks some drama! As I was reading the summary I was saying to myself, self this sounds like a grudge tag team match in the making. Would also be curious on the behind the curtain workings on Brazil interfering. Kinda sounds like a roll on the interference chart (and rightfully so if Andre and Heenan gave Bobo so much grief). Bruiser Brody is the man - period. But I gotta tell ya seeing Sky and Beav in action was a close second to the main event! That was awesome! Really a great card amigo - as its been said - par for the course of this epic fed!
