How do you guys handle this? I come to a situation where a tag wrestler has enough ranking points to wrestle for a singles title but I am not sure I want to risk a tag wrestler holding a singles title. However if he did win the other tag guy could go solo for a bit until he loses it. Thought?

Well, if the wrestler has enough ranking points to challenge for the title, then he obvious wrestled in enough matches to not really be a full time tag wrestler. You could work an injury angle, or maybe somehow the partner gets suspended (Maybe he loses his temper and strikes an official).

I have a hard time seeing myself seperate teams like Brute and Massacare and the Greek Gods, but I do often put tag team members in singles matches. However, I don't really keep a win/loss record. Honestly, I think Squire nailed it. You can work out an angle, or just have the other member be a ringside ally. You know, I'd love to see Actagon in a singles title situation.

Personally, I always thought that Massacre was the most underrated wrestler of 2087. He pretty much carried the Gladiators in the first incarnation of the team, but the tag team was so popular that most people kept the team together. Massacre has yet to win my GWF Grand Prix tournament (a monthly 8-man tournament), but has won the Pool B tournament on a few occasions (the 16-man field that qualifies the top three placewinners into the next month's Grand Prix).

Then again, on that note... Actagon has been able to win the Grand Prix tournament once, over the likes of Star Warrior, Wolf, and Exo-King (Thantos had somehow been relegated to Pool B that month, which may have cleared Actagon's chances).

I think it's Ok, as long as it's done right. If a guy earns it, might as well have him do a #1 contender's match against a legit opponent, claiming he'd "Dominate the single title scene, but working in a team is more challenging, with more preparation for more opponents."

Some of my greatest singles wrestlers have also been a mainstay tag star. Guys such as Actagon, Battering Ram, Brute, Massacre, Dreggs, and many more have had great singles success, Actagon and Ram each won my World title back when I wrestled at home with my dad and since my restart by myself, Actagon won the title again and Ram is a top contender. Brute is a former IP champ as is Proteus.

I went ahead and did the tag guy and it was Killer Queen. Needless to say he won the title... but lost it a few cards later
