Yo!,
Can anybody help me with printing? When I move and set up a new computer/printer, I want to bring some of these CotG bootlegs into my new fed. However, I'd like to have the cards look and feel official. Do you know what I need to do with the printer settings? What paper/cardstock? Wasn't there information out there like this once?
Thanks, Dustin Neal

I can't remember the thread , but there is one out there . With my printer (HP) the "Print Scale" should be set to "none" ... as for card stock , a good heavyweight card stock works good for me . I use 110 lb weight paper . Most of the bootlegs you'll find are PDF's anyway so this should help out .

Thanks, Dustin Neal There is a professional printing service that you can use for FG product PDFs: Contact: Jack
Email: cheshirestudio@optimum.netThe benefit of working with Jack is that he's produced several commercial FG releases (ie. GWFz) which zeroes out the guesswork of which cardstock to use, how to size the card cuts, etc. When submitting a quote just be prepared to pay a professional price for the service. Volume works in your favor. Below is the do it yourself printing advice from the COTGonline FAQ: Question: I'd like to print out my pdf cards once I purchase them. Any tips?
Answer: For best results, we recommend printing on heavy cardstock (ask for #110 Index) at a professional print shop, such as Kinko's, Staples, or Office Max, or on a high-quality printer at home.
Once printed, follow the cut lines on the front of the card to trim the card down to the appropriate proportions. This will trim the extended lines on the back of the card off, as well.
On your computer's print menu, there is an area called 'page handling' and a field called "page scaling". The default value for the file was set to "Shrink Larger Pages". Change this to "None" to print the cards at their appropriate 4.25” x 5.5” size.

[/i][/quote] The only problem I've found with doing that is that when you change the value, the printer cuts off any images that extend past its default border, and there's no way to change that, so you have to make sure that all of your images remain within the printer's default border or the cards don't come out right.

My experience, is no matter what, you end up with cards that are slightly smaller than the official cards. This bugged the hell out of me just a few hours ago when I decided to print off the aCe sets and POM POW cards. No matter what settings I tried the dimensions were never correct. The horizontal size was correct (or thereabouts), but the vertical never matched up.
Unless you want to spend ten dollars per PDF to get the cards Kinko'd (I thought about ...) I think you simply have to accept it.
The only bright side, is when you do all the printing yourself, you end up with uniformly shaped cards. So as long as you don't bring in any officially printed stuff in the size difference doesn't become noticeable.
