Take that Sweeney! Try and get that boa back from my good friend King Kong Bundy and you might just end up taking an Avalanche. Of course even the boa couldn't prevent Sweeney and Kimber Lee from ducking Jessie McKay. I am not a huge supporter of Jimmy Hart but let's just say I am pulling for him and Malia Hosaka to take that title. Sweeney and company need to suffer some setbacks so it would be nice to start with the Heartland Ladies title. By the way, Hosaka, should you win Ms. McKay will be looking for that title shot.

Congrats to Greg Excellent on earning his CHIKARA contract especially beating a talent like Marshe Rockett. Congrats also to the Bravado Brothers on a big win over Hallowicked & Frightmare in the tag lague. My favorite result was El Generico earning the MITB spot by beating Pinkie Sanchez. Anytime one of Sweeney's goons go down it is a good time. That's all for this Aftershow and I will leave you with a classic from Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song...

Croy Gymnasium, Findlay, Ohio

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD make their way down the aisle, acknowledging the cheering of the crowd. Several of the fans in attendance hold giant-sized Bundy-heads on wooden sticks, complete with the green boa around Bundy's neck.

Warlord: Is that a stroke of marketing genius, or what?

Daytondave: I gotta hand it to you, big man, the Wide Load craze is back in full swing. Fans, welcome to our special Wednesday night edition of the CHIKARA brand of professional wrestling. It's great to be in action here tonight in Northwest Ohio! The Heartland Ladies' Championship will be on the line tonight- and it will be an intriguing match between the champion, KIMBER LEE, and the challenger, MALIA HOSAKA.

Warlord: The real mystery will be what's going to happen between LARRY SWEENEY and his idol, JIMMY HART.

Daytondave: Absolutely! Sweeney and Hart will be in opposite corners tonight with the title on the line. Who knows what will come of that situation! It's gonna be a fun night in Findlay, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



JIMMY RAVE pinned PINKIE SANCHEZ**
Sanchez was agitated throughout the opening bout as the Bundy-head fans taunted him without mercy. Sanchez tried to take out his aggression on the match, but Rave brought the fight outside the ring and dropped Sanchez with a swinging neckbreaker on the floor. It didn't take long at from there for Rave to seal the deal with the Doppler Effect.


Daytondave: Score one for the Bundyheads!

Warlord: Indeed.

Daytondave: All kidding aside- that was a big win for Jimmy Rave to keep his spot in the top 8.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE THROWBACKS (0-1) vs. THE BATIRI (1-0)
A back-and-forth battle with all four men heavily involved! Both teams hit some impressive double-teams, but the Throwbacks prevailed when Sugar D blasted Kodama with the Air Dunkerton and covered him for the three count.


WINNERS: THE THROWBACKS


Warlord: Hooray, team!

Daytondave: It's been a good week for the Throwbacks. A nice trios win last Saturday, and their first win of the year in the Tag Team League. All right, fans- coming up next, a match that has me quite concerned. Ever since OUTLAW, INC. came to the Heartland, RACE JAXON has made it a personal challenge to stand up for the pride of CHIKARA. He has shed blood and taken beatings, but N-R-G has stolen a win here and there and managed to survive. Tonight, HOMICIDE has called out Jaxon for a match that could get ugly.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
HOMICIDE pinned RACE JAXON**
Jaxon pressed his luck too far in accepting this match. Race came out aggressively, but Homicide wasn't about to back down. After several minutes of tightly contested action, Homicide annihilated Jaxon with a vicious Lariat that nearly put Jaxon to sleep. Homicide quickly picked Jaxon up and dropped him with Da Gringo Killer to end the match- except that Homicide pulled Jaxon off the mat before the three count!

Warlord: Good gawd almighty! Stop the damn match!

Despite the pleas of Warlord, the match continued. Homicide picked up Jaxon and dumped him a second time with Da Gringo Killer, and this time Jaxon went completely limp. Homicide didn't even bother with the cover as Jaxon lay motionless.

Daytondave: He's done. Somebody throw in the towel!

HYPE ROCKWELL dashed to ringside, waving his arms, but Hype was intercepted by EDDIE KINGSTON before Hype could issue the submission! Homicide laughed, and picked Jaxon off the canvas. With the crowd screaming, Homicide lifted Jaxon and dropped him across his own knee with a violent shoulder breaker! Jaxon crashed down hard and screamed in pain. Grinning, Homicide planted a boot on the chest of Jaxon and smirked as the referee counted three.


Daytondave: Get some help! That kid is broken in half!

Warlord: His shoulder is completely out of socket. That's a nasty-looking injury- no joke.

Daytondave: Jaxon was completely defenseless- there is no way he could have protected himself from that move. That may be a career threatening injury for this brave young man. I am disgusted. Looks like the medics have been summoned and Jaxon is being carted out of the arena. I have never seen a man in that much pain. But fans- the competition goes on, and we are now going to witness a very intriguing title match!



HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP
KIMBER LEE* (w/LARRY SWEENEY) pinned MALIA HOSAKA*** (w/JIMMY HART)
It was no holds barred in this title match, both in the ring and on the arena floor. The two ladies were evenly matched in the opening sequences, but the bout quickly descended into a battle of the shenanigans. Kimber went to the eyes of Malia, temporarily blinding the challenger. Malia went outside of the ring to recover, and Hart took the opportunity to slip Malia the megaphone while distracting the referee. Malia nailed Kimber in the gut with the megaphone! Kimber rolled back into the ring, clutching her midsection as Malia confidently took control. Malia delivered a pinpoint elbow drop to Malia and went for the cover, but Sweeney reached in from outside the ring and pulled Malia off of Kimber to interrupt the count. Malia fumed and glared at Sweeney as Jimmy Hart went ballistic. Kimber saw her opportunity, and crawled behind Malia to deliver a devastating low blow! Kimber rolled up Malia, and using the ropes for leverage, Kimber made the cover and picked up the three count!


KIMBER LEE RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: Oh, my goodness! Kimber Lee has retained the Ladies' championship- but not without controversy.

Warlord: What's Sweeney doing in the ring? Geeze Louise- he's got a microphone!

Sweeney: Hahaha! My girl Kimber is still the champion! Jimmy Hart, you were once my idol- but it's Sweeney Time, now, daddy! You are a has been. It's all about Sweet 'N Kimber Incorporated now!

Sweeney drops the mike dramatically and struts around the ring. Hart is glaring daggers at Sweeney.

Daytondave: A big win for Kimber tonight- but perhaps a big mistake by Larry Sweeney. You don't wanna get on the bad side of Jimmy Hart. Doesn't Sweeney have enough enemies already? All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! CHIKARA will be back on Saturday night with a full night of action. Our Main Event will be a grudge match pitting TRISH STRATUS against COURTNEY RUSH. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Bundy heads on wooden sticks with green boas - hilarious. The Heartland fans also know how to stick it to Larry Sweeney and that really warms my heart. Unfortunately we had to witness Sweeney getting the better of Jimmy Hart with Kimber Lee beating Malia Hosaka to retain the Ladie's title. Of course there had to be controversy with Sweeney involved. Enjoy it for now Mr. "Sweet N' Sour" as the time will come for you and your crew, and possibly at the hands of Jimmy Hart. Imagine if Hart assembles his own stable to go after Sweeney and his goons, that would be the proverbial bees knees.

Race Jaxon, oh boy. He took another beating in the form of two Gringo Killers from Homicide. That was brutal. If that weren't enough he gets carted off with a serious shoulder injury. It was a bad day for N-R-G and a big statement made by Outlaw, Inc. Pinkie Sanchez lost to Jimmy Rave so at least one Sweeney boy went down tonight. Bad choice of words if I must say. Anyway that's all for this Aftershow and I will leave you with a Bob Seger classic - Turn the Page...

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD strut down the ring ramp, shaking hands with the cheering crowd. Warlord takes a Bundyhead poster and waves it overhead to the delight of the crowd.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome back to CHIKARA. It's Saturday night, and that means we have a big show lined up for all you terrific supporters of Heartland Championship Wrestling.

Warlord: Bundyheads! WASSUUUUUUUUP!!!!

The Bundyheads in attendance waves their banners proudly.

Daytondave: The Wide Load hysteria remains in full effect. What is this world coming to? Fans, it is always great to see that the Heartland can provide such a high quality of low-class entertainment. We have a great card lined up for tonight, including a No Disqualification Grudge Match in our Main Event as COURTNEY RUSH returns to the ring to take on TRISH STRATUS. It's going to be a fun night tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


CHIKARA TRIOS
THE DEVASTATION CORPORATION (BLASTER MCMASSIVE, MAX SMASHMASTER, & FLEX RUMBLECRUNCH) defeated 3.OLE (EL GENERICO*****, SHANE MATTHEWS***, & SCOTT PARKER**)
The Corporation simply annihilated the former Trios champions. It started with Flex drilling Parker into the canvas with a Claw Slam, and continued with all three Corporation members beating down Matthews until he tumbled to the arena floor. This left Generico to fend for himself, but the masked luchadore didn't stand a chance against the three big men. After a serious beating administered by Blaster, Flex returned to the ring to deliver another Claw Slam to finish Generico for the pin.


Daytondave: That was pretty darned impressive.

Warlord: I don't think so, my man. There was nothing pretty about that.



CHIKARA CONTRACT MATCH
"ALL EGO" ETHAN PAGE**** pinned TJ PERKINS*******
Page and Perkins went to war with the contract on the line! Perkins got the early advantage with his barrage of aerial moves, but Page survived the flurry and managed to slow the pace of the match. Page turned Perkins upside down with a running lariat. Page followed up quickly, delivering a BOOM! Head Shot which put Perkins on Dream Street. Perkins went to the arena floor for a breather, but the power of Page kept him in control. Mr. Ego kept the pressure on, and a few moments later finished Perkins off with the Spinning Dwayne.


Warlord: Ethan Page, come on down! Welcome to CHIKARA!

Daytondave: That was an amazing battle. Just goes to show how badly both these men want a shot at a contract, and the opportunity to compete for the CHIKARA Grand Championship. Another coveted title is the Campeonatos de Parejas, which is proudly held by TEAM F.I.S.T. The contenders are lining up, in search of the three points necessary to earn a shot at the belts coming up next.



LOS ICE CREAMS (EL HIJO & JUNIOR) defeated PIECES OF HATE (SHARD & JIGSAW*)
A shocker in the tag team match! The teams were just getting started when TIM DONST appeared at ringside and distracted Jigsaw. Before Jigsaw knew what hit him, El Hijo hit Jigsaw with the Cold Stone Stunner and covered him for the three count!


Daytondave: How about that! After all the shenanigans which Jigsaw and his crew have pulled, the shoe is on the other foot tonight and the Pieces of Hate have gone down to defeat! That makes two points for the Ice Creams- they are just one win away from a title match!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE ROUGHNECKS (BRODIE LEE & GRIZZLY REDWOOD) (1-1) vs. THE TRIBE (HAWAIIAN LION & NAVAJO WARRIOR) (1-0)
The Tribe executed their game plan to perfection, isolating Lee from the opening. Warrior thrashed Lee outside the ring, then the Tribe hoisted Lee into the ring for a double-team Hang Five. Grizzly could do nothing to help his partner as the Tribe flattened Brodie with the Reservation Devastation for the pin.


WINNERS: THE TRIBE


Daytondave: A successful outing for the former King of the Indies Tag Team Champions. Fans- that brings us to the midpoint of tonight's action- which means it's time for Sweet Talk with Larry Sweeney.

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where LARRY SWEENEY stands with a smirk on his face. He is accompanied by KIMBER LEE, who proudly holds the Heartland Ladies' Championship belt over her shoulder.

Kimber: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my privilege to present to you, the world's leading expert on independent wrestling. He's more handsome than Brad Pitt, stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and smarter than you are. Put your hands together for the host of Sweet Talk, Larrrrrrrry Sweeeeeney!

Sweeney: Thanks, Sugar. That belt still looks great on you! It's time for Sweet Talk, and what can I say. It's been a hot week all around the indies. Ring of Honor: New York has blown up with new champions! Congratulations to CHRISTOPHER DANIELS for winning the ROH:NY Heavyweight Championship! I am not crazy about Daniels aligning himself with KEVIN SULLIVAN- but when you consider the Daniels was across the ring from HOMICIDE in the finals, well- a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Sweeney: I also want to congratulate the new ROH:NY Tag Team Champions. They have just begun to team together, but KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN took down DA HIT SQUAD and they are the new champs! Well done, men!

Sweeney: ROH: California kicked off this week, and they started with a bang. ADAM COLE holds the ROHC championship, and he put it on the line his first night on the Coast! Cole defeated MICHAEL ELGIN to defend his title, and that is no small task. Adam Cole is on a roll, people- and this week he was named the new #1 Contender to the King Of The Indies Championship! It will be Adam Cole challenging MOOSE for the top title in the indies, and that match will take place right here in the Heartland at Dawn of Destiny 2017. Dawn of Destiny is scheduled for April 8, and we'll have plenty of information coming out about that in the days ahead.

Sweeney: Finally, another fine show from Evolve went down, and the action was tremendous. AR FOX and DREW GALLOWAY got into a huge brawl! I thought Galloway was gonna rip AR's head-

Without warning, Sweeney is interrupted as a hooded fan leaps onto the stage! The fan is carrying a Bundyhead, and wearing a green boa around his own neck. The crowd erupts with applause as Sweeney lunges after the fan, but the fan dodges and weaves his way around the set. Kimber shrieks in anger as Sweeney is unable to apprehend the intruder. Two referees enter the scene, but both of them slip on strategically placed banana peels, allowing the fan to wave the Bundyhead several times before making his escape.

Sweeney: Get out of here! You and your no good ugly filthy signs!

The fans grow even louder in their applause as KING KONG BUNDY appears on the stage and helps the referees to their feet. The intruder takes a victory lap around the arena, waving his Bundyhead triumphantly until he returns to Bundy's side. Grinning, Bundy pulls the hood off the intruder to reveal the infamous Heartland blogger, CRUEFAN. Cruefan and Bundy depart from the set. Sweeney tries to lunge after Bundy, but is stopped by the referees as the fans cheer. After a moment of confusion, the scene returns to ringside.



Warlord (laughing): Oh, that Cruefan, he's a hoot! Did you see how worked up old Sweeney was?

Daytondave: I think this whole Bundy business has really gotten under his skin. It's certainly fun to watch! I wonder if he and Kimber will accept the challenge for the Ladies' belt? We'll see about that, but now we need to head back to the ring.



SEVENTEEN* pinned MARK ANGELOSETTI***
In a top 8 contenders' match, Angelosetti went to battle with the mysterious Seventeen in a closely contested match. Angelosetti had some success early in the match with his roughhousing tactics, but Seventeen took Angelosetti too the mat and wrapped him into a series of painful submission holds. Angelosetti held his own, but the submission attacks wore him down, and Seventeen eventually was able to execute a Quackendriver 3 for the pin.


Daytondave: That is one dangerous man... and he is now just one match away from a shot at the CHIKARA Grand Championship. I don't think DELIRIOUS has ever dealt with someone like Seventeen.

Warlord: I don't think Seventeen has ever dealt with someone like Delirious!

Daytondave: That's a good point. We have two matches left tonight- both featuring the Heartland Ladies!



HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE MINNESOTA HOMEWRECKING CREW (LACEY & RAIN) defeated THE DOLL HOUSE (MIA YIM** & MARTI BELLE)
The Wrecking Crew was at its devious best tonight! Rain and Lacey caught Mia by surprise with a flurry of aerial attacks, and Rain dropped Mia with a vicious Lung Blower. Lacey seizing the opening and blasted Marti with a spinning back kick, sending Marti off the apron and down to the floor. The Crew finished in style, doubling up on Mia with a Tomikaze to put her away.


Warlord: That's what I call ruthless efficiency! Fear... surprise... and a fanatical devotion to-

Daytondave: NO ONE expects the Minnesota Homewrecking Crew!

(Dramatic music)

Warlord: When you least expect it... expect it!

Daytondave: And now, the CANADIAN NINJAS are next on the Crew's agenda. We'll see that match one week from tonight! All right, fans- it never hurts to have a little fun around the Heartland- but our Main Event is going to be intense. COURTNEY RUSH is returning to action against one of the JIMMY HART thugs who put her on the shelf for over two months!



MAIN EVENT: GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION
TRISH STRATUS* (w/JIMMY HART) pinned COURTNEY RUSH*
Courtney came out to the cheers of the crowd and immediately took the fight to Trish! Courtney tossed Trish around the ring with a variety of suplexes which left Trish totally on the defensive. Trish fired back with her wicked chops, but Courtney stood her ground and dumped Trish with a Samoan Drop! Trish rolled out of the ring, and attempted to retrieve the megaphone from Jimmy Hart, but Courtney delivered a high kick which knocked the microphone free! Trish drilled Courtney with a forearm smash in retaliation, and the two ladies went toe-to-toe on the arena floor, hammering each other with forearms until both were exhausted. When the action was finally corraled back into the ring, Trish was able to catch Courtney with a rollup, and with a handful of tights, Trish scored the pin.

After the decision, Trish quickly rolled out of the ring and Hart assisted her back to the dressing room. Courtney complained to the referee, but to no avail.


Daytondave: So Trish Stratus escapes with the victory after a hard match. Courtney lost the decision tonight, but I think she gained a measure of respect from Trish after that performance. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! CHIKARA will be back next Saturday night with another exciting card. Another wild night in the Heartland and boy am I winded. That celebratory sprint around the arena was worth it though as I got to stick it to Larry Sweeney along with help from my good friend King Kong Bundy. Kimber Lee had better hold onto that belt tightly as Jessie McKay really wants that championship. As for Sweeney there is an Atlantic City Avalanche reserved for you. As for the rest of the event, I was very impressed by Ethan Page earning his CHIKARA contract beating TJP. Solid effort by both guys. Devastation Corporation sent a serious message in the trios division with that win over 3.Ole. Trish Stratus, I may not agree with her current tactics but that was a solid hard fought win over Courtney Rush. I can't wait for the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew to go against the Ninjas, that should be a war. That's all for this Aftershow and I will exit with a great track from Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl - in tribute to Kimber Lee...

The show opens with the tune, "Wings of Destiny" by Gamma Ray playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD enter the arena and the fans burst into cheers. An increasing number of Bundyheads are waving in the crowd, bringing a smile to the Warlord as the announcers take their place at the table.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA. It's great to be here on a Saturday Night in Dayton, where my crew and I spent many nights enjoying the finest independent wrestling action on the planet. Tonight, the tradition continues with another terrific show.

Warlord: Bun-dy! Bun-dy! Bun-dy!

Daytondave: Yes, the Bundymania phenomenon is in full swing. Dude isn't even wrestling here, but people love the big guy.

Warlord: Most people. Just not LARRY SWEENEY.

Daytondave: You got that right. Bundy has found his way under the skin of Sweeney and the crowd is eating it up. We'll hear what Sweeney has to say later tonight. We have plenty of excitement in the ring lined up, including a championship match in the Main Event as THE CANADIAN NINJAS defend the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Titles against THE MINNESOTA HOME WRECKING CREW. It's gonna be a terrific show, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



JOCK SAMSON* pinned 'MR. TOUCHDOWN' MARK ANGELOSETTI*****
The opening bout was a brutal war, with the athleticism of Angelosetti matched against the double-tough resiliency of Samson. Angelosetti held most of the advantage until Samson took the fight to the arena floor. Samson pummeled Angelosetti, even after Mark blasted Jock with his football helmet. The roughhouse tactics paid off for Samson and he finished off Angelosetti with his Piledriver.


Daytondave: A big win for Jock Samson! That victory keeps Samson in the top 8.

Warlord: A move reminiscent of Harley Race... Paul Orndorff... and 'Mr. Piledriver' himself, Bruiser Bob Sweetan.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE DYNASTY (JOEY RYAN & SCORPIO SKY) (1-0) vs. OI4K (0-1)
An exciting tag team match! Both teams hit frequent tags and connected on aerial blasts until The Dynasty was able to isolate Dave Crist in the corner and dish out the punishment. Jake managed to interrupt one pin attempt before Scorpio put Jake out of commission with a springboard dropkick. This opened the door for Ryan to deliver a brutal spinebuster on Dave for the pin.


WINNERS: THE DYNASTY


Daytondave: A rough night for the hometown favorites.

Warlord: More Dayton boys, eh? I suppose this town has turned out a few good grapplers- and a lot of memories. Which brings me to a little surprise I have in store for you, my friend.

Daytondave: A surprise? What would that be?

Warlord: Something you're not expecting.

Daytondave: I walked right into that one- again.

Warlord: Truck monkeys- play the video!

Footage is displayed from the University of Dayton Arena with the caption, "WCW Great American Bash Tour, July 21, 1989". THE ROAD WARRIORS are seen in the ring, defeating THE SAMOAN SWAT TEAM. As the Samoans leave the ring, DAYTONDAVE is seen on the ringside aisleway, accompanied by WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS. Daytondave is shouting at the Samoans. RIKISHI stops, stares down Daytondave, and appears to spit on Daytondave! True to his name, Wildman begins spitting on the Samoan, and security guards quickly rush to the scene to restrain the Wildman and escort him out of the arena. Daytondave is also ushered out of the arena as the video ends.

Warlord: How about that! My man Daytondave was a troubled youth! My man got ejected from a WCW event in this very building!

Daytondave facepalms.

Daytondave: Where did you get THAT?

Warlord: I have my sources.

Daytondave: Can we get back to action? Up next, we have a very important singles match. The winner gets a spot on the Money In The Bank Ladder Match!

Warlord: And the loser gets spit on?



MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH
EDDIE KINGSTON** pinned ARCHIBALD PECK****
Two longtime adversaries squared off again, with a Money In The Bank spot on the line. Peck refused to be intimidated by the bully tactics of Kingston, and Archie used his unpredictable offense to keep Eddie off-balance. After several minutes of back-and-forth action, Kingston took the fight to the arena floor and nailed Archie with a Backfist to the Future. Archie was out on his feet, and when the action returned to the ring, Kingston annihilated Archie with the Sliding D to pick up the victory.

Sweeney: The Women of Honor ran a terrific show this week. I never thought I would say this- but we saw a team this week that could stand toe-to-toe with THE IRRESISTABLE FORCE. Kraven and Cruise tasted defeat this week against the team of NICOLE SAVOY & SHAYNA BASZLER. I didn't see that coming!

Sweeney: Ring of Honor: New York rocked the house with two great cards. Props to KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN for successfully defending the ROH:NY Tag Team Titles this week. It didn't take those guys long to gel as a tag team and become a force to be reckoned with.

Sweeney: What's gotten in to DREW GALLOWAY? Dude put a beating on AR FOX this week after a tough match. Will Fox take a stand against Galloway? Foxy has signed a deal with AWE, so maybe the bully tactics of Galloway have taken their toll.

Sweeney: All right, people. As you know, I am a professional commentator and I take care of my business. But I am afraid I have a personal matter to address with this KING KONG BUNDY situation. Big man- you have crossed the line! You stole my property- my prized possession- the green boa that was a gift to me from none other than JESSE 'THE BODY' himself. And if that wasn't enough- you mock me with these ridiculous Bundyhead signs- and last week, you sent that pathetic flunky CRUEFAN out here last week to interrupt Sweet Talk!

As Sweeney rants, Warlord makes his way to the Sweet Talk set.

Warlord: Tough talk, little man. Of course you know, Bundy is not here tonight. He and ONE MAN GANG went to New York to party with PAIGE. Hopefully we'll catch the video on line later- but that's another story. Are you ready to accept Bundy's challenge?

Sweeney: Not you again, Warlord. Last time you tried to goad me into a match, I beat your girl JESSIE MCKAY.

Warlord: It's all good, bruh. You beat the girl, you're scared of the man. I get that.

Sweeney: Security! Get this man off my set!

Security guards stream in from offstage. Warlord is surrounded. He breaks into a grin and hugs the captain of the security force.

Warlord: Come on, fellas. Drinks are on me!

The security team exchanges high-fives and pats Warlord on the back. The group leaves the set. Warlord takes a Bundyhead from one of the ringside fans and presents it to the captain. Sweeney scowls as the Warlord departs and the scene returns to ringside.


Daytondave: I guess that's all for Warlord for tonight. But that's not all for the CHIKARA action! Let's take you back to the ring for our next contest.



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
SEVENTEEN* defeated ULTRAMANTIS BLACK*
Two mysterious masked men went to battle with a title shot on the line, and both men gave their all. Ultramantis controlled much of the bout, taking the measure of Seventeen with multiple uses of the Argentine facebuster. But Seventeen was resilient and battled on, taking the fight to the arena floor and taking control of Ultramantis with several well-placed kicks. Seventeen moved in for the kill, and dropped Ultramantis with the Quackendriver 3.


Daytondave: A big win for Seventeen- and a shot at the CHIKARA Grand Championship. Seventeen vs. Delirious will be a fascinating battle at Dawn of Destiny 2017. Another fascinating battle is about to go down next- TIM DONST has stepped up and challenged another ally of the Gekido faction!



SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
TIM DONST** defeated JIGSAW****
Donst was in the fight of his life tonight, and he came through in impressive fashion. Donst went on the attack early, dropping Jigsaw with a series of suplexes and putting the masked man on the defensive early in the match. Before long, THE SHARD came to ringside, but was quickly sent off by the referee! Jigsaw briefly took advantage of the distraction with a superkick, but Jigsaw was too weak to follow up and Donst brought Jigsaw to the mat with a Gator Roll. Donst kept the battle on the canvas, and after several submission moves, Donst locked on the Hydro Lock and forced Jigsaw to tap out!


Daytondave: Wow! What a performance by Tim Donst! A lot of people didn't think he would survive this match- let alone win it. But he proved his skills tonight, and he is telling Jigsaw all about it. I don't know if I would taunt the Gekido- they are a dangerous crew. But Donst is at full adrenaline tonight and he is letting the world know. All right, fans- it's time for our Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE CANADIAN NINJAS (PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE MATTHEWS***) (c) defeated THE MINNESOTA HOME WRECKING CREW (LACEY* & RAIN)
Controversy reared its head once again in the Ladies' Division! The match began in a competitive spirit, with Portia and Lacey going toe-to-toe for several minutes without a clear advantage. Nicole and Rain entered, and Rain took control and backed Nicole into the Home Wreckers' corner. Rain and Lacey unleashed a series of double-team attacks, as the referee desperately tried to get control. Portia was furious, but unable to rescue her partner. Finally, Portia had seen enough, and rushed to the opposite corner. Portia caught Lacey with a running knee smash to the back of the head, sending Lacey slamming into Rain! Lacey collapsed to the canvas, and Nicole covered her using the middle turnbuckle for leverage to pick up the three count.


THE CANADIAN NINJAS RETAIN THE HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: No surprises there, fans. The referee completely lost control of that match, and the Ninjas stole the victory to keep the belts. Lacey isn't the least bit happy about it, but the decision will stand. All right, fans, we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Bundymania is rocking in the Heartland like it should have been back at WrestleMania 2. It didn't work on Hulk Hogan back in the day but I guarantee that Larry Sweeney will feel the wrath of the big man from Atlantic City, NJ. Bundy and OMG partying with Paige? I won't touch that one. I do want to thank The Warlord for confronting Sweeney and as for your "pathetic flunky" barb I will file that in my revenge file Mr. "Sweet N' Sour".

Congrats to the Canadian Ninjas on retaining the Heartland Ladies tag titles against the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew. The Ninjas may have stole it but sometimes that kind of action is necessary especially against a team like Lacey & Rain who would no doubt have done the same thing. Tim Donst is looking great, what a huge win over Jigsaw. Donst will need backup against Gekido though. I really enjoyed that Seventeen vs. Ultramantis Black bout and I am really looking forward to Seventeen challenging Delirious for the CHIKARA Grand Championship. I continue to be impressed with Jock Samson, huge win for him over Mr. Touchdown, and am also enjoying the Tag League as always. The show opens with the tune, "Wings of Destiny" by Gamma Ray playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE enters the arena to the cheers of the crowd. Daytondave smirks and makes his way down the aisle unaccompanied.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to our special Wednesday night edition of CHIKARA professional wrestling. Those of you who were expecting to see the WARLORD- well- he hasn't been seen since he went drinking with the Heartland Security team last Saturday night. So tonight, it will just be you and me and the stars of CHIKARA with four big matches to keep you on the edge of your seats- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


GREEN ANT**** & FIRE ANT defeated CHEECH* & COLIN DELANEY***
The action was fast and furious in the opening match, with both teams doing damage. Both the Ants beat down Delaney, and it was nearly a win for Green Ant until Cheech rushed in to make the save. Cheech took over on Green Ant, and delivered the Go 2 Creech twice to nearly claim the victory. Fire Ant came to the rescue, and all four men battled intensely. In the middle of the fracas, Fire Ant nailed Cheech with a Burning Hammer and made the cover for the three count.


Daytondave: Terrific action in the tag team match! The Ants now have two points- one more win and they will earn the right to challenge the Campeonatos!

Without warning, a chorus of boos erupts as LARRY SWEENEY makes his way down to ringside.

Daytondave: Larry Sweeney... what brings you here tonight?

Sweeney: You look lonely, Daytondave. I thought you could use some company.

Daytondave: How thoughtful. Of course, with Warlord out on the town, it's perfectly safe for you to run your mouth, right?

Sweeney: That has nothing to do with it, my friend. Who's up next?



TAELER HENDRIX defeated KELLY KLEIN* by disqualification
Two newcomers to the Heartland Ladies' Division threw down in a spirited battle to gain respect. Kelly came with the power game, but Taeler stood her ground and nailed Kelly with a palm strike and nearly scored a pin! Kelly pulled Taeler out of the ring, but Taeler again stood her ground and battled it out with the bigger Kelly. The referee tried to get control of the action, but Kelly continued to escalate the fight until the referee was forced to call for the bell.

After the decision, Kelly continued to pummel Taeler, but Taeler fired back with kicks and a nasty knee lift! Referees from backstage finally arrived on the scene to break up the brawl and usher both ladies back to the locker room.


Sweeney: What a chick fight!

Daytondave: You can call it that, but those were two very skilled and competitive ladies trying to make a name for themselves here in the Heartland. Who knows- before long, you may find one of these ladies facing off against KIMBER LEE for the Ladies' Championship!

Sweeney: If that's the best you can do for contenders, you better keep trying.

Daytondave: If you say so. Let's check out tonight's action in the Tag Team League!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
TRACY WILLIAMS & FRED YEHI (0-1) vs. DREW GALLOWAY & JOHNNY GARGANO (0-2)
All four men engaged in a back-and-forth struggle which was finally decided by the two smaller men. Gargano caught Yehi off-guard and drilled him with a slingshot spear, followed immediately by a Baby Ace Crusher for the pin.


WINNERS: GALLOWAY & GARGANO


Daytondave: Now that was some terrific tag team action. Congratulations to Galloway and Gargano for picking up their first victory!

Sweeney: About time.

The analysis is interrupted by a commotion in the crowd. The fans erupt in cheers as WARLORD makes his way through the crowd. He is accompanied by the Heartland Security Team, including BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, as well as ONE MAN GANG, KING KONG BUNDY, PAIGE, TAMMY SYTCH, CRUEFAN, KELLY KELLY, JESSIE MCKAY, & MELINA. Paige is wearing the green boa around her neck. The Heartland Security Team are all carrying Bundyheads.

Daytondave: Wow! What a surprise!

Sweeney: What a bunch of bozos!

Warlord: Ain't no party like a Paige party, baby!

Paige: Who needs BRAD MADDOX or XAVIER WOODS when the Heartland has men like these?

Daytondave: Easy there, Paige- this is a family show.

Paige: A family show? Uh oh...

(Awkward silence)

Paige: So, Jessie- is this that Sweeney idiot you were telling me about?

Sweeney: Larry Sweeney is my name. Pleased to meet you. I hear you like to party!

Paige: And I hear you're a worthless pansy. You lost your precious boa and never lifted a finger to get it back. What a wanker!

Paige, Tammy, Kelly, and Melina laugh.

Tammy: Poor little helpless boy.

(Giggles)

Kelly: Look at all those Bundyheads! That must be humiliating! And you won't even stand up for yourself.

(Giggles)

Melina: Or are you CHICKEN?

Sweeney: NOBODY CALLS ME CHICKEN! Bundy- Jessie- you got your match! I will get my boa back!

Bundy: Good job, ladies!

Warlord: We're out of here!

One Man Gang moonwalks his way up the ring ramp with the rest of the crew in tow. Sweeney tries to strut his way out with the partygoers, but Paige pie-faces him and knocks him to the floor. Sweeney sits for a moment, red-faced, and storms out of the ring area.


Daytondave: Well, it looks like Warlord and his friends finally pushed all the right buttons. It will be boa versus title shot in mixed tag team action at Dawn of Destiny 2017! All right, fans- one match to go here tonight- so let's do this!



MAIN EVENT: SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
PORTIA PEREZ defeated LACEY** by submission
Portia and Lacey came out swinging, each determined to prove her superiority after their duel in the tag team championship match. As before, the battle was evenly matched, with both ladies demonstrating agility and technical skills. After several minutes, Portia went to the top rope, but Lacey intercepted her and a fight broke out on the top turnbuckle! Portia went to the eyes of Lacey, then knocked Lacey off the top turnbuckle and down to the canvas! Lacey landed awkwardly on her right arm, and Portia immediately went to work. Portia wrenched the arm of Lacey and slammed her to the canvas with a nasty Divorce Court! Lacey squealed in pain, and Portia immediately repeated the move, dropping Lacey with a second Divorce Court. Portia wrenched back on the injured shoulder of Lacey, and Lacey was quickly forced to tap out.

After the decision, Portia stood over the fallen Lacey and continued to taunt her. Lacey's partner RAIN came to the ring to defend Lacey, and NICOLE MATTHEWS quickly followed. A tense standoff followed, but referees quickly came to the ring to prevent a fight from breaking out. As the Ninjas departed, Portia managed one last stomp to the injured shoulder of Lacey! Rain lunged after Portia angrily, but the Ninjas split the scene before Rain could take her revenge.


Daytondave: A strong statement by Portia tonight, on behalf of the tag team champions. And one way or another, you can always count on the Ninjas to rub a little salt into the wound. I don't think Lacey was happy about that last cheap shot! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! CHIKARA will be taking the weekend off to celebrate Wrestlemania, but we will be back next Wednesday night with another evening of action on the road to Dawn of Destiny 2017.
