Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare October 12, 2011 (Card #393) Alexander Gymnasium, Appleton, Wisconsin The show opens in grandiose fashion, with the tune, "O Fortuna" by the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg playing overhead. CHRISTY HEMME waves to the fans from the center of the ring, dressed in a short black cocktail dress. DAYTONDAVE hits the ring, looking sharp in a stylish black European suit. Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome back to night number two of our special Chikara tournament! The boys have had a couple of weeks off, and now everyone is ready for a throw-down! We have some great matches set for tonight, including another wild trios match in our main event! The baddest unit in Chikara, the BRUDERSCHAFT DES KREUZES, will square off against a bizarre squad called THE SPECTRAL ENVOY in six-man - I should say, six-person tag tea, action. Plus, a special interview tonight with a dude who is getting more bizarre by the week- the former FLW Heavyweight Champion, CHRISTOPHER DANIELS. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND JIGSAW* & MIKE QUACKENBUSH defeated CHUCK TAYLOR** & JOHNNY GARGANO*Jigsaw electrified the crowd in the opening bout, repeatedly going to the air and leveling both his opponents. Jigsaw laid waste to Gargano, then turned his attention to Chuckie T. After a devastating flurry, Jigsaw launched himself onto Taylor with a perfect cross-body block off the top turnbuckle to secure the pin. Daytondave: That was simply outstanding. Jigsaw just showed both members of Team FIST what he is all about. We'll see Jigsaw in singles action later tonight. CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND FRIGHTMARE pinned TIM DONSTAnother flying masked man lit up the skies in this match! Frightmare went to the air early and often, and simply outclassed Donst. The match was over in a heartbeat when Donst fell prey to the Frightensteiner. Daytondave: These masked dudes are unreal! But I am afraid the party may be over for these little luchadores in the next tag team match. CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND THE BRUDERSCHAFT DES KRUEZES (ARES & TURSAS*) defeated THE COLONY (FIRE ANT & GREEN ANT****)After a tightly contested match, the momentum turned in favor of the Bruderschaft when they isolated Green Ant in the corner. Ares and Tursas took turns pounding on Greenie. Despite the efforts of Fire Ant to rescue his partner, the onslaught was relentless. Finally, the match ended when the huge Tursas crushed the Green Ant with a Diving Cross Body block and pinned him decisively. Daytondave: Whoa! Fans- I stand corrected. You just saw 375 pounds of masked flying fury squash the Green Ant... like a bug! That was almost a 200 pound weight difference in that collision. Pity for the Green Ant, and best wishes for a speedy recovery. But masked men in Chikara are a dime a dozen- and we have another one ready to hit the ring, next. CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND ICARUS* pinned ULTRAMANTIS BLACK*****Icarus took control of this bout after a vicious slingshot senton which stunned Ultramantis. Ultramantis endured a great deal of punishment, but never regained the momentum. Icarus kept the offensive, and finally dumped Ultramantis with the Blu-Ray to score the pinfall. Daytondave: You gotta hand it to Icarus. Dude just took over that match and dominated. Christy: I think that guy needs a mask! Daytondave: Ouch! Well- there won't be any masks in this next match- not that the lovely SARA DEL REY would need one. But don't let her looks fool you- she is as tough as they come! CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND SARA DEL REY defeated CHUCK TAYLOR***** by submissionIn a dominant performance, Sara overpowered the Kentucky Gentleman and pummeled him with repeated suplexes. A Release German suplex sent Chucky crumpling to the mat. Taylor rolled to the arena floor, and nearly walked out on the match! Sara taunted him back to the ring, and promptly locked him up with a Royal Butterfly and forced him to tap out! Daytondave: Talk about adding insult to injury! Christy: Are you serious? Sara RULES! Daytondave: We'll see about that, Christy. There's still a ways to go in this tournament. But Sara can throw down with the toughest of them- male or female. All right- fans- before we go on to the next match, we have a special interview segment with CHRISTOPHER DANIELS. This dude has been through hell, and I can't wait to hear his thoughts tonight. The tune, "Head Like A Hole" by Nine Inch Nails plays overhead as CHRISTOPHER DANIELS storms to the ring, followed closely by VELVET SKY. Daniels is red-faced. Velvet's lips are pursed tightly.Daytondave: Welcome back, Mr. Daniels. Fans, I am pleased to announce the Chris has been granted his rematch for the FLW Heavyweight Championship! That match will be held right here in the Heartland at the 2011 Tournament of Champions on October 29. Christopher- can I get your thoughts on that match? Daniels: AJ Styles... dead! Mike Rotunda... dead! Badstreet... whoever you are... it is over for you. I will stop at nothing to find the man who destroyed my life. Velvet: Chris- get a grip! You need to focus on RANDY ORTON and the FLW Championship match. It's all about the gold! Daniels: Yeah... the gold! The gold will fix everything... Velvet: We'll get the title back, Christopher, and everything will be okay. This isn't over! Daniels: Over? Nothing is over until WE say it's over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Velvet takes Daniels by the arm. He continues to babble as she leads him away from ringside.Daytondave: That is one messed-up dude. He has GOT to get his head on straight before his rematch with Orton on October 29. For now, let's head back to the ring for our next match. We saw JIGSAW dominate in tag team action earlier tonight. Can JOHNNY GARGANO get revenge in singles? CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND JIGSAW pinned JOHNNY GARGANO*Jigsaw picked up right where he left off, using his superior quickness to take control of Gargano with a dazzling array of dropkicks and armdrags. Gargano had little success with his attempts to counter, and Jigsaw put him away in short order with the Jig 'N Tonic. Daytondave: Jigsaw proved himself big time tonight. But next week- he has EDDIE KINGSTON to look forward to. We'll see how he handles that. All right, fans. We saw a great trios match on our last show, and I have really been looking forward to another one in tonight's Main Event! CHIKARA TRIOS TOURNAMENT THE SPECTRAL ENVOY (ULTRAMANTIS BLACK, FRIGHTMARE, & HALLOWICKED) defeated THE BRUDERSCHAFT DES KREUZES (PINKIE SANCHEZ***, TIM DONST, & SARA DEL REY)The Envoy members were on the same page from the beginning tonight, wisely keeping the powerful Sara away from the ring and focusing their collective efforts on Pinkie. All three of the Envoy did damage to Pinkie, who received no sympathy from the fans at ringside. After taking a pounding from the Envoy, it was a huge Rydeen Bomb from Hallowicked that ended the night for Pinkie. Daytondave: That was a bit disappointing, in my opinion. I expected a more competitive match from the BDK. But it is the Envoy who wins tonight's match, and they move on to the trios championship match at the Tournament of Champions, where they will meet TEAM FIST for the tournament championship! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for hanging out with us tonight! Don't forget, JR JAMES and the Old School Crew will be back this Saturday as the Filsinger Cup tournament roll on. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night October 15, 2011 (Card #394) Hobart Arena, Troy, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring, carrying a microphone. The tune, "O Fortuna" by Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg plays overhead. JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night! The big pay-per-view is just two weeks away and everything is pointing to our 2011 Tounament of Champions supercard! Tonight, we have more exciting matches as our superstars attempt to qualify for a spot in the most prestigious event in all of the Heartland. We'll also have a special interview segment with BARRY WINDHAM to hear his thoughts on recent events involving The Pinnacle. Our Main Event tonight will be a HUGE battle in the Filsinger Cup Tournament- a champion versus champion match with BOBO BRAZIL taking on AJ STYLES! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE* & ANGELO MOSCA) defeated THE FLYING REDHEADS (RED BASTIEN & BILLY 'RED' LYONS**)A very competitive opening match came to an abrupt end when Mountie successfully used his Shock Stick to stun Billy 'Red' and score the pinfall. JR: A less than auspicious Old School tag team qualifier to start the show. No question, Mountie is a most devious individual. With that victory, this Canadian duo moves into a #1 contenders' match. They will go to battle against the VALIANT BROTHERS with a title shot on the line! Now, let's get started with our Filsinger Cup matches. Our opening bout should be outstanding, and indeed potentially inflammatory, as the former FLW World Heavyweight Champion moves out against a very dangerous opponent. FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO TAZ** defeated CHRISTOPHER DANIELS** (w/ VELVET SKY) by submissionDaniels came out with reckless abandon, hurling his body at Taz from every direction. Taz survived the onslaught and caught Daniels with a crushing Dragon Tazplex to take control. After a gallant struggle, Taz was finally able to lock in the Tazmission. Velvet could only shriek at ringside, and Daniels was forced to give it up. JR: This Tazmanian Devil is a stalwart in the squared circle. He has taken down the IRON SHEIK, and now the Fallen Angel as well in this remarkable tournament run. As for Daniels- his FLW Heavyweight Championship rematch is only two weeks away, and I am afraid his mindset is nowhere near the level he will need to wrest the title back from RANDY ORTON. Next up, fans- a very compelling match-up of two excellent competitors from Wednesday Night Warfare. FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND 'LIGHTNING' MIKE QUACKENBUSH* pinned BRYAN DANIELSON***A fine match between two unorthodox stars. Quack caught a break early in the match, when the referee was caught in a collision between the two men at the turnbuckle. Quackenbush took advantage of the distraction and caught the Dragon in a vicious tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near-fall. Before Danielson could recover, Quackenbush locked in the Chikara Special and nearly forced Danielson to tap out! But Danielson made it to the ropes to break the hold, and slid out of the ring. He pulled Quackenbush to the arena floor, and leveled him with a Yakuza kick on the concrete! Quack made it back to the ring, but Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation! Quack was nearly ready to give it up, but was able to get his foot under the bottom rope and the match continued. After a brilliant sequence of mat wrestling, Quack was again able to roll Danielson over into the Chikara Special! Danielson clawed and fought his way to the ropes, again forcing the break, but he was totally spent from the effort. Quackenbush immediately went to the top turnbuckle and delivered a gorgeous Swanton Dive. The impact was enough to put Danielson down for the three-count and end a very competitive contest. JR: That was simply an outstanding bout. It is great to see two fine young men battle in the game of human chess. Danielson is now raising the arm of Quackenbush to congratulate him on a fine victory indeed. But the road isn't about to get any easier for Mr. Quackenbush, with CURT HENNIG next in line in the tournament. Next up, ladies and gentlemen, a tag team match-up pitting two squads with very different styles. Who will come out on top? FILSINGER CUP TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS PAUL LONDON** & BRIAN KENDRICK defeated THE NEW ZEALAND SHEEPHERDERS (BUTCH MILLER** & LUKE WILLIAMS*)A fast-paced tag match turned in the favor of the Warfare team after a botched double-team by the Herders. Miller flew from the second turnbuckle with a flying elbow, but the move went awry when Kendick ducked aside. Miller crashed into Williams, and Kendrick immediately rolled him up for a surprise pinfall victory! JR: What a shocking conclusion! The Sheepherders are known for their all-out, reckless aggression, but tonight that style proved to be their undoing. London and Kendrick are your winners, and they have qualified for the final match at the 2011 Tournament of Champions! But ladies and gentlemen, as you well know, the biggest question mark in the tag team championship tournament is the status of the former Old School Tag Team Champions, BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDA. Rotunda has been on the outs with The Pinnacle, and Windham has been conspicuous in his absence throughout the controversy. Finally, tonight, my broadcast colleague LANNY POFFO has caught up with Barry Windham for a special conversation about this situation. The scene shifts backstage, where Lanny and Windham are standing together outside the locker room.Poffo: Thanks, Barry, for joining us tonight. I am going to get right to the point. Will you and Mike Rotunda be wrestling together in the Filsinger Cup tag team tournament next week? Windham: You know, Mike and I have been partners- and friends- for a long time. It's not easy to see him caught up in such a mess. Poffo: So you will be tagging with him next week? Windham: You know, Bradshaw is a helluva business man. He knows what buttons to push and he knows how to cultivate success. Poffo: So... your loyalties are with Bradshaw? Windham: The thing is, Lanny- competing in the Filsinger Cup is always a special moment. It's the most prestigious tournament in the Heartland! Poffo: So we'll see you and Rotunda in action together next week! Windham prepares to comment, when BRADSHAW steps out of the locker room with a scowl.Windham: Like I was saying, Lanny- $10,000 is a nice pocketful of change. I may just be the one man capable of putting Rotunda on the shelf once and for all. Bradshaw: Barry- what are you doing out here? Why are you wasting your time with this clown? Come on, we've got business to conduct. Windham: Right, boss. Windham disappears into the locker room as Poffo stands perplexed.JR: Not a terribly enlightening interview. Ladies and gentlemen, I have no idea what we are in for next week. We'll just have to wait and see. FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND ANGELO MOSCA defeated DANNY HODGE** by submissionMosca took control of this bout in the early going, roughing up Hodge and plastering him with a loaded elbow! Hodge never regained his bearings, and Mosca overwhelmed him with clotheslines and tackles. Mosca cinched in a massive bear hug which took the breath out of Hodge, and when Danny was nearly motionless, Mosca locked in the Sleeper Hold to put an end to it. JR: That didn't take long. Hodge is a rugged cruiserweight competitor, but his track record against the bigger men leaves something to be desired indeed. Mosca is a mountain of a man, and he is your reigning Kentucky Heavyweight Champion. But this massive Canadian has a hard row to hoe- the Old School Heavyweight Champion STAN HANSEN will be across the ring from Mosca next week! That should be a match for the ages- not unlike what we are about to see next. It is a champion vs. champion showdown, for the first time ever in Heartland History! MAIN EVENT: FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: OPENING ROUND BOBO BRAZIL******** defeated AJ STYLES********A spectacular Main Event! Styles opened the match on fire, taking the fight to Bobo and sending him sprawling with a flurry of flying kicks. A springboard forearm strike took Bobo to the mat, and as he staggered to his feet, AJ hit him with a perfectly timed Pele kick for a two count. Bobo finally managed to gather himself, and went to his power game to neutralize Styles. AJ was backpedalling, and Bobo pursued him to the turnbuckle. Unfortunately, the referee got caught up between the competitors, and tumbled out of the ring, where he lay dazed on the concrete. With the referee out of commission, the intensity level picked up! AJ got in the first strike, belting Bobo with a vicious enzuigiri which sent him tumbling out of the ring. Without hesitation, AJ leaped to the top rope, and springboarded onto Brazil with a plancha which sent his man crashing into the guardrail! Both men were down, and clearly shaken. Bobo staggered to his feet first, and went right to work on AJ with a brutal head butt! With no referee to intervene, Brazil laid a beat-down on Styles on the arena floor, pounding away with headbutts and mighty hamhocks which took the starch out of Styles. Bobo moved in for the kill, but Styles instictively launched a standing dropkick which was dead on the mark, sending Bobo careening against the steel railing. Both men were dazed on the concrete when the referee finally came around and ushered them back to the ring. Styles came at Bobo with a flying forearm, but Brazil caught him and applied a massive bearhug! AJ was nearly out cold in the arms of his larger opponent. Styles finally managed to squirm free, but Brazil blasted him with another explosive headbutt that put him on the canvas. This time, Bobo went for the cover, and the referee completed the three-count. JR: What a fantastic encounter! Ladies and gentlemen, that match was everything we had imagined, and then some. Both these men poured their heart and soul into that confrontation. A tremendous contrast in approaches- but two fine champions and an epic match we have just witnessed. Congratulations to both of these men for a terrific contest. All right, ladies and gentlemen, on that note we have reached the conclusion of tonight's broadcast. Thank you so much for joining us! We'll be back in one week with another episode of Old School, and no question it will be a crucial night. We'll continue the Filsinger Cup Singles and Tag Team tournaments next week, and by night's end we will have the complete card set for the 2011 Tournament of Champions supercard! And don't forget to tune in on Wednesday night for Warfare, when DAYTONDAVE and his young lions will continue on the road to the Tournament of Champions with more great Chikara action. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare October 19, 2011 (Card #395) Resch Center, Green Bay, Wisconsin The show opens at the jam-packed Resch Center in scenic Green Bay. CHRISTY HEMME greets the fans around the ring as the tune, "O Fortuna" by Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg plays overhead. DAYTONDAVE stands in the center of the ring, waving to the fans as the crowd cheers. A contingent of Warfare superstars, led by AJ STYLES, BRIAN KENDRICK, and PAUL LONDON, settles in a ringside to catch the action and sign autographs. Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Wednesday Night Warfare! It's great to be here in Title Town for the last broadcast of Warfare leading in to the 2011 Tournament of Champions Supercard! There is a lot on the line tonight as we will determine the finalists in BOTH the Chikara Singles and Tag Team Tournaments! The Supercard is set- just ten days from now- October 29! We'll be headed back to the Buckeye State to celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of Heartland Championship Wrestling in style. There is no end to the action here on Warfare, so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO BRODIE LEE pinned FRIGHTMARE*The Big Rig was in control from the start! Standing a foot taller and outweighing his foe by over 100 pounds, Lee tossed Frightmare around the ring at will. Frightmare did his best to try and avoid the big man, but a massive chokeslam by Brodie took the starch out of him. Frightmare staggered to his feet, only to be greeted by a vicious Big Boot that put his lights out. Daytondave: Holy mackerel! Nothing like the taste of some size 15 boot leather to ruin your day. Daytondave's analysis is interrupted by a flurry of activity at the entryway. VELVET SKY rushes in to the arena and sprints down to ringside. She is wearing a baggy sweatshirt and tattered jeans. She wears no make-up, and her hair is a mess.Daytondave: Hey- Velvet! What's going on? Velvet: Have you seen CHRISTOPHER DANIELS?Daytondave: Not tonight. Velvet: He took off. And BRADSHAW is furious! Daytondave: He's been a serious head case ever since this whole BADSTREET business went down. Velvet: Duh! I'm supposed to be keeping an eye on him. I am trying to get him ready for his FLW Heavyweight Championship rematch against RANDY ORTON at Tournament of Champions. Daytondave: Good luck with that. I'll keep an eye out for him. Velvet hurries back up the ring ramp, shooting a wicked glare at AJ Styles as she passes by.Daytondave: Things are not looking good for Daniels right now. His head is in a million places, and he has to face one of the most focused and intense wrestlers on the planet. That's not going to end well. CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO ICARUS* pinned TURSAS**The weight differential in this bout was over 200 pounds, but Icarus shocked the arena by taking the fight right to the big man. A flurry of dropkicks sent Tursas backpedalling. Icarus seized the opportunity, and used the weight of Tursas against him, dropping him hard with a Shiranui DDT! After finally getting the huge masked man off his feet, Icarus followed up immediately with a Pedigree and covered Tursas for the three count! Daytondave: Unbelievable! This dude just killed it! I don't think anybody gave Icarus a snowball's chance to win that match- but he pulled it off. I am stunned- and I think everybody in the arena is in a state of disbelief. We'll see if lightning strikes twice in the same place- Icarus now has to face BRODIE LEE in the semifinals later tonight. CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO EDDIE KINGSTON pinned JIGSAW******Kingston tore through Jigsaw in a brutal match. Jigsaw came at him with chops and kicks, but Kingston simply hurled him to the arena floor and beat him down. Jigsaw's attempts to resist were meaningless and Eddie was merciless. When Jigsaw couldn't offer any more defense, Kingston annihilated him with a Sliding D and put him out of his mercy. Daytondave: My old pal JR JAMES would say, Eddie just took Jigsaw to the woodshed in that match. Kingston just sent a major statement to anyone who crosses his path. Dude has his eyes on the prize, and he is now one match away from the finals! SOLDIER ANT begins his march to the ring, but he is shoved aside on the entry way. MIKE ROTUNDA dashes down the ramp to the front row, where the Warfare superstars are seated. Several of the wrestlers prepare for a confrontation, but AJ STYLES holds them back.AJ: Mike? What the heck is going on? Rotunda: It's Daniels! You gotta talk to him. He's lost his mind! He is coming after me with a tire iron! Styles: You houldn't have tagged his car, dude. Rotunda: Badstreet was your idea, Styles! Styles: I was just messing with his head. It was supposed to be a prank. You're the one who took it too far. Rotunda: He shouldn't be moving in on Velvet! Styles facepalms.Styles: That's what this is about? You're on your own, bro. Rotunda: Thanks for nothing. I'm out of here. Rotunda dashes through the crowd and disappears.CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO SOLDIER ANT pinned SARA DEL REY**The dream run ended for Sara against the enigmatic Soldier Ant. Sara started well, but made a major miscalculation when she leaped off the ring apron with an attempted Koppo kick on the Ant. Ant sidestepped, and Sara crashed hard into the security rail. Soldier Ant sent Sara back into the ring and scored with a well-placed Spinning Elbow Strike and covered her for the pin! Daytondave: Tough break for Sara- but she went down fighting. She took her chance, but Soldier Ant was a step ahead of her and he moves on to the semis. All right- fans- ready to check out the Chikara Tag Team Division? CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS FRIGHTMARE* & HALLOWICKED defeated DELIRIOUS & PINKIE SANCHEZ***The BDK team of Pinkie and Delirious got off to a quick start, and put the Envoy on the defensive with crisp teamwork and frequent tags, but they lacked the firepower to put away their foes. As the match wore on, the advantage shifted to the Envoy, and the superior strength of Hallowicked. Pinkie finally fell prey to the Go 2 Sleepy Hollow from Hallowicked as Frightmare prevented Delirious from making the save. Daytondave: A very exciting tag team battle to send Frightmare and Hallowicked to the finals! Who will provide the opposition? We're about to find out! CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS LIGHTNING MIKE QUACKENBUSH** & JIGSAW*** defeated ARES***** & TURSAS****A spectacular bout in the tag semis! Ares began the match against Jigsaw and quickly overpowered him. Jigsaw took a beating from both BDK members, and the match nearly ended when Ares drilled him with a Tiger Driver. But Tursas saved his partner, and the match continued. Ares and Tursas went to work with brutal double-teams, first beating down Quackenbush, and then Jigsaw. Jigsaw finally turned the match for his team, launching himself with an insane pescado onto Tursas that buried both men in a heap on the arena floor. Jigsaw was first to his feet, and staggered back to the ring to make the hot tag to Quackenbush. Quack took over on both opponents, sending Tursas reeling with a high back body drop, and finally delivering a stunning Black Tornado Slam to Ares to score the pin. Daytondave: Unbelievable! That was a terrific tag match. I am so impressed with these Chikara dudes- every one of them is ultra-competitive. Quackenbush and Jigsaw move on to the Tournament of Champions supercard, where they will face HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE for the championship! Rough night for the BDK, I am afraid. Three losses, and none of their group qualifies for the supercard. All right, fans- let's get back to the ring to determine who will face off in the Chikara Singles Championship at Tournament of Champions! CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS BRODIE LEE pinned ICARUS***Icarus took down one big man tonight, and came out determined to repeat the achievement. He went at Lee with a flurry, effectively stunning the Big Rig with cross body blocks and flooring him with another impressive Shiranui! But the onslaught failed to take Lee off his feet, and Brodie ultimately caught Icarus in a massive bear hug which nearly put his lights out. Icarus gasped and strained, and finally went to the eyes of Lee to get free from the hold, but Brodie responded immediately with an enormous Big Boot that nearly took Icarus' head off. Icarus was finished, but Brodie wasn't satisfied. He lifted Icarus high in the air and planted him with a Black Hole Slam to finish the bout. Daytondave: Congratulations, I suppose, to Brodie Lee. Despite the long history between myself and that man, he has earned kudos here tonight with two victories to send him to the Tournament of Champions for the Chikara singles final. You had better believe, my old friend JAMES THE ENFORCER will be on hand to keep that dude under control. As for Icarus- he put up a helluva fight, but he couldn't get the job done- Daytondave is interrupted by a commotion in the entry way. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS bursts through the curtain, ranting and brandishing a tire iron! Daniels: Where is Rotunda?!? Where is Styles?!? I want a piece of those clowns! I want my car fixed! I want my belt back! I want blood! Christy squeals, and she and Daytondave duck for cover. AJ Styles prepares to confront Daniels, but several wrestlers hold him back. BRIAN KENDRICK and PAUL LONDON vault over the security rail and attempt to intercept Daniels. Daniels swings the tire iron wildly at Kendrick, but London pulls his partner away in the nick of time. London and Kendrick tumble into the seats as Daniels continues his path toward Styles. AJ pushes past the other wrestlers and comes face to face with Daniels.Christy: No! Chris! Don't! As Christy shrieks, Daniels rears back with the tire iron and prepares to nail AJ. Out of nowhere, MIKE ROTUNDA bursts onto the scene and tackles Daniels! The tire iron flies harmlessly to the concrete, and Daniels and Rotunda tumble to the floor and begin wailing on each other! Wrestlers quickly pull the brawlers apart, but both men lunge at each other in desperation. The struggle continues until VELVET SKY sprints down the aisle!Daytondave: Thank heavens! Maybe Velvet can talk some sense into these two! Velvet steps between the men and turns to Daniels. She takes him by the shoulders and gently settles him down. After a few deep breaths, Daniels regains his composure. Velvet takes him by the arm, and under the watchful eye of several Heartland wrestlers, she leads Daniels away from the ring. As she departs, she looks back over her shoulder and fixes her gaze on Rotunda. Rotunda remains red-faced, gritting his teeth as Velvet and Daniels disappear through the curtain. Christy: What just happened? Daytondave: I don't honestly know. AJ Styles just saw his life flash before his eyes- and Mike Rotunda saved his carcass. Christy: Do you think Velvet still likes Mike? Daytondave: Seriously? Do I look like Chuck Woolery? This is wrestling- not the Dating Game. I haven't a clue what goes on in the mind of that girl. Christy giggles.Daytondave: One thing I do know- she has a lot of work to do to get Daniels ready for Tournament of Champions. Dude has his last shot at the FLW Heavyweight Championship on October 29- and if he loses, he is in for a serious meltdown. Worse yet, The Pinnacle will be without a World Champion and BRADSHAW will be beside himself. This situation could get even uglier. Now- where were we? The Chikara tournament! One more semi-final match, and it should be epic. The winner if this match takes on Brodie Lee at Tournament of Champions! CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS EDDIE KINGSTON pinned SOLDIER ANT****Kingston controlled most of the bout, except for the occasional flurry from the Ant. Soldier Ant really couldn't sustain any offense, and Kingston nailed him with a couple of vicious Yakuza kicks that left Soldier in rough shape. Soldier Ant managed to stagger to his feet, but Kingston caught him squarely with the Backfist to the Future and put his lights out. Daytondave: Criminees! That shot nearly knocked Soldier Ant's head right off his... thorax. Eddie Kingston moves on to the Tournament of Champions, where he will meet BRODIE LEE for the Chikara Tournament Final! Plus, we'll see HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE in the tag team finals against JIGSAW & MIKE QUACKENBUSH, and an outstanding Chikara Trios bout between THE SPECTRAL ENVOY and TEAM FIST. And of course, the FLW Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when CHRISTOPHER DANIELS gets back in the ring against RANDY ORTON. We'll be off next week, fans, but don't forget to check out Old School this weekend for more terrific action. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night October 22, 2011 (Card #396) Montgomery County Fairgrounds, Dayton, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring, carrying a microphone. The tune, "O Fortuna" by Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg plays overhead. JR proudly points to the ceiling of the coliseum as the Tournament of Champions banner is unfurled:JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to Old School Saturday Night! Our Fifth Anniversary celebration rolls on! We are one week away from the 2011 Tournament of Champions Supercard- and tonight is indeed a HUGE night to determine who will qualify for that special night. The tag team and singles finalists in our Filsinger Cup tournaments will take place right here at the Fairgrounds. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SECOND ROUND "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH* pinned CURT HENNIG***The aerial assault of Quackenbush was more than Hennig could handle. Quack went to the air early and often, taking out Hennig with an amazing suicide tope. With Hennig staggered, Quack went to the Quackendriver II and pinned Hennig cleanly! JR: An excellent opening match for this Warfare superstar! He is already slated to head to the Tournament of Champions for the finals of the Chikara Tag Team Championship. Will Quackenbush gain entrance as a Filsinger Cup finalist? He will have his work cut out for him later tonight when he meets the winner of our next match. FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SECOND ROUND STAN "THE LARIAT" HANSEN pinned ANGELO MOSCA****The battle of the behemoths raged into the night as Hansen and Mosca went toe-to-toe. Neither man budged for several minutes, until the action went to the floor. Hansen dominated Mosca outside of the ring, with the referee allowing plenty of liberty for the brawl to take place. Hansen clobbered Mosca with a Lariat on the concrete, and Mosca went down hard. Mosca was easy pickings at that point, and another Lariat from Hansen proved to be the decisive blow. JR: Hansen was unstoppable in that match. With all the drama of The Pinnacle, Hansen continues to hold the Old School Heavyweight Championship and he is without question the most imposing force among that faction. He is one step away from a berth in the Filsinger Cup Finals! He'll square off against MIKE QUACKENBUSH to determine who will battle for the Cup at the 2011 Tournament of Champions. All right, ladies and gentlemen, we'll take a short break from the Filsinger Cup action now to bring you a feature match with Old School title implications. THE DESTROYER*** defeated MR. FUJI******* by submissionAn epic battle for Old School supremacy saw multiple twists and turns. Action spilled throughout the arena. Destroyer worked over the right leg of Fuji with repeated use of the single-leg Boston Crab. Fuji fought through the pain, and finally caught Destroyer in an agonizing Nerve Grip. Destroyer was hurting badly, but survived the Banzai Drop and the match continued. Destroyer went back to working the leg, and finally forced Fuji to give it up to the Figure-4. JR: A tremendous match between two very cerebral competitors. There is no question that Destroyer is one of the few men in the sport of wrestling who can match wits with the devious Mr. Fuji. Special thanks to the stars of Old School for a very compelling feature match-up. Now, let's get back to the Filsinger Cup festivities- and determine who will be the first man to make it to the singles tournament final! FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS BOBO BRAZIL*** pinned TAZ***A brilliant match between two very tough competitors. Taz showed no sign of fear, moving right in against Bobo and suplexeing him several times. A perfectly executed T-Bone Tazplex earned Taz a near-fall, but he could not keep Bobo down. Bobo retaliated with power, raining down hammer punches and headbutts until Taz collapsed in the corner. But Taz staggered to his feet and gestured to Bobo to continue the fight. Brazil obliged him with a massive Coco Butt to put Taz on the canvas for the three count. JR: Two tougher men, indeed, you won't find in the sport of wrestling. Pound for pound, Taz may be one of the most rugged men you will ever see, but tonight he met his match in one Bobo Brazil. Congratulations to Bobo- he is the first finalist for the Filsinger Cup next week at Tournament of Champions! The reigning Old School Heavyweight Champion is indeed on a roll. Next up, ladies and gentlemen, a most interesting tag team match. We have not seen BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDA together since their disastrous loss of the Old School Tag Team Championship. Rotunda has become the scapegoat for that defeat, and emblematic of the struggles of The Pinnacle. BRADSHAW has placed a bounty on the head of Rotunda, but so far Mike has dodged fate. Windham, for his part, has been conspicuously silent throughout this affair. What will happen next? ANTONIO INOKI and GIANT BABA parade to the ring, with great ceremony, proudly displaying the Old School Tag Team Championship belts. The crowd cheers, but then becomes palpably anxious as BARRY WINDHAM steps through the curtain. Windham stands on the entry way, then points to the curtain. MIKE ROTUNDA emerges and embraces his partner! Windham and Rotunda stride to the ring together. FILSINGER CUP TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS ANTONIO INOKI***** & GIANT BABA**** defeated BARRY WINDHAM**** & MIKE ROTUNDA***An amazing display of tag team wrestling from both teams! Windham and Rotunda worked together flawlessly, tagging frequently and battling the champions with great intensity. Inoki and Baba responded in kind, keeping Rotunda and Windham at bay. It looked like lights out for Windham when Inoki blasted him with a powerful Enzuigiri, but Rotunda made the save! Windham was still on dream street when Baba tagged in and delivered a crushing Neckbreaker Drop that finished off Windham and ended the match. After the decision, BRADSHAW stormed to the ring, pointing and hollering at Windham. But Barry stood his ground, pulling Rotunda to his side as the fans roared!JR: How about THAT? A show of unity between Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda! You must admit, Windham and Rotunda looked tremendous in tonight's bout. The fallout from this event will be significant- Bradshaw does not take kindly to men who disregard his approach to business. And let's not forget, ladies and gentlemen, what a tremendous match we have just witnessed from Inoki and Baba! They took the best that Windham and Rotunda had to offer, and they came away victorious to move into the finals of the Filsinger Cup Tag Team tournament at Tournament of Champions next week! They should be the favorites to win that match, but the unpredictable duo of BRIAN KENDRICK & PAUL LONDON awaits and you never know what that match will bring. All right, ladies and gentlemen- it's time for our final bout of the evening. Who will face BOBO BRAZIL in the finals of the Filsinger Cup? FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH* pinned STAN "THE LARIAT" HANSEN*****David slays Goliath! Quackenbush came out with a flurry, putting Hansen on the defensive with chain wrestling moves and chops from every angle. Hansen quickly put an end to the onslaught with a vicious boot to the midsection and a rib-rattling vertical suplex. Hansen took control, subjecting Quackenbush to a series of body slams and backbreakers until it looked like Quack was dead to rites. Quack tumbled out of the ring, and Hansen went for the kill. But Quackenbush ducked a big boot and nailed him with a running palm strike on the arena floor! Hansen was staggered, and Mike went for broke. He came off the top rope with a spectacular plancha, nailing Hansen and driving him to the concrete! Without hesitation, Quack pitched Hansen into the ring and planted him with the Quackendriver II ! The fans erupted when the referee counted three, and Quackenbush captured the victory! JR: I cannot believe what I just saw! Mike Quackenbush has pulled off a highly improbable victory over a very imposing opponent indeed! I didn't give Mr. Quackenbush much of a chance in this contest, but he saw his opportunity and he seized upon it with devastating effectiveness. Quackenbush moves on to the finals of the Filsinger Cup. Can he repeat that performance against BOBO BRAZIL? We'll find out next week when the most prestigious prize in the Heartland is decided. Ladies and gentlemen, this brings to a conclusion a most eventful night of action here on Old School. Thanks you so much for joining us! It has been a great month leading up to next week's 2011 Tournament of Champions! We are still in celebration mode- be on the lookout for HEARTLAND TRIVIA this week with prizes on the line. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Tournament of Champions 2011 October 29, 2011 Ervin J. Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio The show opens with DAYTONDAVE and JR JAMES in the center of the ring. The tune, "O Fortuna" by Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg fills the arena. The packed house at the Nutter Center roars as the new Heartland Championship Wrestling banner is unfurled from the rafters.JR: Greetings, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 2011 Heartland Championship Wrestling Tournament of Champions!Daytondave: That's right, fans, HCW is celebrating its fifth anniversary of professional wrestling action! It has been a terrific month of celebration in the Heartland, and it all comes down to this! With each anniversary, we present a special tournament consisting of every man who has held a title belt in the Heartland over the past 12 months. And this year, we have added the superstars from Chikara to the mix! JR: No question, the Chikara tournament has provided no end of stellar action on the Wednesday Night Warfare broadcasts, Daytondave. Congratulations on an outstanding tournament! Daytondave: Thanks, bro. Now let's get down to business! Tonight we have five tournament championship matches, plus the FLW Heavyweight Championship will be decided in the Main Event when RANDY ORTON defends the belt against our own CHRISTOPHER DANIELS. And- later in the show, the winner of the Heartland Trivia Contest will be revealed! So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FINALS HALLOWICKED* & FRIGHTMARE** defeated MIKE QUACKENBUSH & JIGSAW******A high-flying, fast-paced match opened the show! Both teams came out aggressively and worked well together, tagging frequently. The Heartland favorite, Quackenbush, pulled out some sweet moves against Hallowicked, including a vicious Enzuigiri immediately into a one-legged Boston Crab. Frightmare tagged in to the match and took over on Jigsaw. Frightmare unleashed a spectacular aerial assault, pelting Jigsaw with dropkicks and headscissors from every angle. Frightmare culminated the flurry with a Super Frightensteiner off the top rope which left Jigsaw in a world of hurt. Frightmare quickly tagged in Hallowicked, who delivered a vicious Graveyard Smash and covered Jigsaw for the three count! HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE WIN THE CHIKARA TAG TEAM TOURNAMENTJR: Wow! A tremendous display indeed of airborne prowess from the young masked man. Congratulations to Frightmare and Hallowicked for an outstanding run through the tournament! Now, let's take a turn to the Filsinger Cup tournaments and determine who will emerge victorious in the Tag Team competition. FILSINGER CUP TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FINALS ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA defeated PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK by countoutThe match was brief, and a disappointment to the fans. Inoki dueled with both Warfare champions, absorbing a good bit of punishment before clobbering them both with a vicious double clothesline! Inoki tagged in Baba, who caught London coming off the top turnbuckle and sent him hurtling to the arena floor! London crashed to the concrete hard and could not meet the 10-count. ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA WIN THE FILSINGER CUP TAG TEAM TOURNAMENTDaytondave: Now that was unfortunate. London and Kendrick are a great tag team combination- but they have been a bit snake-bitten because of the injuries to Paul London in particular. JR: He looks to be shaken up after a nasty spill onto the concrete. I give credit to Giant Baba, who is assisting London at ringside. Unfortunately, it appears that London is going to require some extra help from the Heartland training staff. Daytondave: This could be another major setback for London and Kendrick after a disappointing match. All right, fans- let's check out another exciting match from Chikara- this time, the Chikara Singles Tournament Final!CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENT: FINAL BRODIE LEE* pinned EDDIE KINGSTON*******Kingston took an awful beating from Lee. To his credit, he survived multiple Big Boots and kept coming for more, but Brodie simply wore him out with power move after power move until Kingston could not withstand any further punishment. BRODIE LEE WINS THE CHIKARA SINGLES TOURNAMENTDaytondave: Are you serious? That man has no business holding a Heartland trophy. He ought to be in jail! JR: Be that as it may- Brodie Lee is your winner in this bout. Congratulations are indeed in order for winning this tournament against a very rugged man in Eddie Kingston. True to form, Kingston took an amazing amount of punishment before he finally succumbed to the bigger man. Daytondave: Whatever. You know what would improve my mood? The Filsinger Cup Ladies' Championship!FILSINGER CUP: LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP MELINA defeated CHEERLEADER MELISSA***Another brutal struggle between these longtime rivals! Melina took control of the bout early, but Melissa fought back gamely. Melina proved to be too much in the end, putting Melissa away with a rear naked choke. MELINA WINS THE FILSINGER CUP LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a vicious young lady! Daytondave: Melina has dominated the Ladies' Division on Warfare. Melissa has been her toughest challenger- and I am anxious to see who will be the next to step up and give the champion a fight. JR: Next up- a very exciting match, and no question an exciting brand of wrestling in store for you. It's the Chikara Trios Championship!CHIKARA TRIOS TOURNAMENT: FINAL TEAM FIST (ICARUS***, JOHNNY GARGANO, & CHUCK TAYLOR**) defeated THE SPECTRAL ENVOY (ULTRAMANTIS BLACK**, FRIGHTMARE, & HALLOWICKED)The trios championship was engaging and fast-paced. Hallowicked dominated the opening moments and nearly took Chuck Taylor's head off with a step-up enzuigiri, requiring Icarus to make the save. Icarus himself ran into problems with Fightmare, then felt the sting of a spectacular Praying Mantis Bomb by Ultramantis. This time, it was Gargano who took action, lifting Ultramantis off his partner and dropping him with a crushing Hurts Donut! Ultramantis was stunned, and Gargano rolled Icarus on top. The referee counted three as Gargano and Taylor dispersed the remaining Envoy members. TEAM FIST WINS THE CHIKARA TRIOS TOURNAMENTDaytondave: That was outstanding teamwork by the Friends In Similar Tights! JR: Is that what FIST stands for? Nevertheless, that was indeed a heady move by Johnny Gargano. His team had been dominated in that match, but teamwork and smart thinking pulled out the victory- and the championship! Daytondave: Kudos to the entire Chikara gang for three outstanding tournaments! All right, fans- we have two HUGE matches remaining with a lot of glory to be gained. Next up we have the prestigious Filsinger Cup Singles Tournament Final, to be followed by the FLW Heavyweight Championship!JR: Can MIKE QUACKENBUSH do the improbable and defeat BOBO BRAZIL for the Filsinger Cup? Now we find out! FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT FINALS BOBO BRAZIL pinned "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH***Quackenbush came out aggressively against the big man, dodging an attempted kneelift and putting Brazil down with a tilt-a-whril backbreaker. Quack had it going until Bobo caught him coming off the ropes and latched him into a massive bear hug. It took a long struggle for Quackenbush to break free, and by the time he escaped, he was gassed. Brazil went to work with the power moves, hammering him with Coco Butts until Quackenbush slumped to the mat and was pinned. BOBO BRAZIL WINS THE 2011 FILSINGER CUP SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Congratulations to Bobo Brazil! Daytondave: The big man got the job done! JR: Bobo Brazil is your Old School Heavyweight Champion- and he is now your 2011 Filsinger Cup winner! What a great run he has been on for the past few months! Daytondave: And what a terrific series of tournaments! Both the Chikara and the Filsinger Cup tournaments have made October a tremendous month in the Heartland. JR: And the Fifth Anniversary Celebration has been a monumental success. Just a few details remain, Daytondave. Let's bring out CHRISTY HEMME to announce the Heartland Trivia contest winner. The fans cheer as Christy strides to the ring carrying an envelope. Christy: The winner of the Heartland Trivia contest is... a TIE! Daytondave: A tie? Christy: MARK SLAYER and ROB BENNETT finished with 13 points each. It's a tie! Daytondave facepalms.Daytondave: Now what do we do? JR: I have just the solution, friends. A match! Christy: Perfect! Daytondave: Good call, JR! Heartland House Show #400 is coming up on November 19. Tradition and MPW will each send one representative for a no-disqualification bout. The winner will be declared the Trivia Champion! JR: A terrific idea indeed. Ladies and gentlemen- now that we have this issue settled- let's move on to tonight's Main Event! The FLW World Championship is on the line! MAIN EVENT: FLW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP RANDY ORTON pinned CHRISTOPHER DANIELS***The title defense for Orton was routine, as Daniels was in no condition to challenge effectively. Orton took charge from the opening bell and overwhelmed the Angel. Using a brutal series of neckbreakers and backbreakers, Orton dismantled the challenger and pinned him decisively after an elevated DDT. RANDY ORTON RETAINS THE FLW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations to Randy Orton! The reigning FLW Heavyweight Champion has successfully defended his title here at the Tournament of Champions! Orton is an outstanding champion, and he has turned aside the challenge of a former title holder in dominant fashion! Daytondave: That is the end of the road for Christopher Daniels, JR. He had an excellent run with the World Title, but he is now officially off the radar screen as far as the FLW is concerned. JR: Bradshaw will not be happy with this development, Daytondave. He was counting on Daniels to bring the gold back to The Pinnacle. And there is no question that VELVET SKY will have something to say about Daniels' performance in tonight's match. Daytondave: You got that right, my man. Okay, fans- it is time to pass out the awards for the Tournament of Champions! CHRISTY HEMME returns to ringside, accompanied by a pair of security guards wheeling a cart filled with trophies. The champions return to the ring to receive their prizes as the crowd rises and applauds the winners:FILSINGER CUP SINGLES: BOBO BRAZIL
