Great to see that Heartland is still cruising along. Great action! Good storylines. From top to bottom really top notch stuff happening. I love the Ken Jeong stable. Fun, goofy stuff. Keep 'em rollin'

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night February 18, 2012 (Card #417) St. John Arena, Steubenville, Ohio The show opens with the tune, "Old Time Rock 'N Roll" by Bob Seger playing overhead. JR JAMES strides to the ring with a confident smile as the fans cheer the opening of the show.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to Old School Saturday Night! It is great to be back in Eastern Ohio for another night of professional wrestling excitement, and no question tonight will bring some monumental confrontations. None will be bigger than this evening's Main Event, a bout with the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship at stake. Our champion, KILLER KOWALSKI, will stand in against his good friend and rival, fellow Canadian ANGELO MOSCA, in what promises to be a mammoth event! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's- JR's introduction is interrupted by the ringing of his cell phone.JR: Hello? Yes, sir... yes sir... no, we have not held a draft in a couple of months... no sir, the old Commish wigged out, and his replacement hasn't shown up yet... sign the contracts? Seriously? Without authorization? Sir... you know I have always done things by the book, sir... Of course, sir, I trust you... yes sir, I respect you... you ARE a man of influence... thank you sir... I will sign the contracts and have the new talent here next week... excuse me? I am supposed to fire the loser of the first match? But sir... yes... of course... the loser of the first match will be fired... thank you sir, it has been a privilege to speak with you. JR clicks off the cell phone, appearing shaken.JR: Ladies and gentlemen, I have some unfortunate news. The FLW, as you may know, is experiencing a transition in leadership. Our own status here in HCW is also at risk. But, an investor has stepped forward, a man of influence, in an advisory capacity, to help see the HCW through this critical phase. There will indeed be new talent coming on board next week. Unfortunately, the Man of Influence has declared that the loser of tonight's first match must be fired from the Heartland. With that, let's head to the ring. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE pinned EXOTIC ADRIAN STREET*Clearly, Page got the message, because he hit the ring with determination and took the fight to the bizarre one. It didn't take DDP long to connect with the Diamond Cutter and score the pinfall. JR: Well, Diamond Dallas may have just earned the most important victory of his Heartland career. Congratulations to DDP for a most impressive victory, and I suppose we much wish the obligatory "best of luck in your future endeavors" to one Adrian Street. Let's hope we don't have to go through that again any time soon. LES THATCHER* defeated MR. SAITO** by submissionIt was a marvelous performance by Thatcher, who befuddled his opponent with a variety of aerial assaults. Saito managed one powerful suplex which rocked Thatcher, but Les came back with a stunning flying headscissors out of nowhere to put the big man down. Quickly, Thatcher moved in for the Stump Puller and earned a tough victory. JR: Two fine submission specialists have just put on a remarkable display of wrestling prowess. Thatcher gets the victory tonight, but in this business the action can turn either way on any given night. Next up, fans, we have a special challenge tag team match born of disrespect. One week ago we saw a confrontation between BOB ARMSTRONG and FIT FINLAY- and tonight, they bring their respective teams to the ring for their first-ever matchup. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION THE ARMSTRONGS (BOB & BRAD) defeated FIT FINLAY & DAVE TAYLOR**A very competitive, and cleanly fought match saw the Brits and the Armstrongs battle evenly for quite some time. The Armstrongs had Finlay isolated for much of the contest, but Finlay fought his way out of several double-teams and finally managed to tag out to Taylor. Taylor dueled back and forth with both Armstrongs, until Brad got the best of him and dropped him with a Russian Leg Sweep. Finlay saved his partner from being pinned, but in the process, he inadvertently hit Taylor with his shillelagh! Brad made the cover, and the Armstrongs stole a victory. After the decision, the Armstrongs celebrated. Finlay and Taylor had a somewhat heated discussion in the ring, but shook hands and left the ring together. JR: Score one for the U. S. of A.! The Armstrongs showed superior teamwork in that match, and they came away victorious. This is truly an evenly-matched rivalry, and if these men can put their nationalistic passions to the side, they are all capable of some outstanding wrestling. But these squads are both fiercely proud, and already the emotions are running high- so I expect more of the same in the weeks to come. Another intense rivalry has seen the Canadian duo of THE MOUNTIE and ANGELO MOSCA in a protracted war with BOOKER T and DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE. The next chapter in that rivalry will take place tonight in singles competition. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION THE MOUNTIE** pinned BOOKER T****A wild match between two hated rivals. Action took place outside the ring as much as inside, where both men pounded away in a fury. Mountie wasted no time in activating his Shock Stick, stunning Booker in the early moments of the match and taking the advantage. But Booker fought through the effects of the attack, and battled back. He launched into Mountie with a barrage of kicks and flying forearms, coming from all directions to send his foe careening to the arena floor. A fierce brawl followed, and Mountie was finally able to gather his Shock Stick and stun Booker a second time. This time, Booker was unable to recover before Mountie rolled him back into the ring and delivered a Short Choke Slam to finish the match. After the decision, an enraged DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE stormed to the ring. Mountie grabbed his Shock Stick and headed for safety. After checking on Booker, Page stomped to the announcers' table and confronted JR.Page: JR! Enough of this crap! These two Canadian thugs are nothing but a bunch of cowards! Every match- if it's not a Shock Stick, it's a loaded elbow pad! Booker and I want a match with those two bozos- a Weapons Match! It's time to fight fire with fire! JR: Well, Mr. Page, I can certainly understand the frustrations. This battle has been raging for some time, and no question the Shock Stick has been a frequent part of the outcomes. I will book your match. So, fans- there you have it. Another disappointing loss for Booker T, and a tag team grudge match to settle the issues between these factions. Let's head back to the ring for another match- a singles contest with important championship implications. BARRY WINDHAM** pinned THE DESTROYER****Windham and Destroyer brought the house down with an epic battle. Windham started quickly and leveled Destroyer with a Missile Dropkick that nearly put his lights out. Destroyer rolled to the floor, and a battle took place at ringside which left both men in rough shape. Destroyer trapped Windham in a single-leg Boston Crab which slowed the big man down, but failed to produce a submission. Again, the action spilled out to the floor, where this time Windham got the best of Destroyer with a vicious bulldog on the concrete. Windham tossed the wounded Destroyer back into the ring and finished him off with a Sweetwater Superplex to earn a hard-fought victory. JR: What a great match! A crucial win for Barry Windham as he climbs the ladder to perhaps earn a title match. But at the moment, the title rests in the hands of one MR. FUJI. And of course, hot on his heels is the former champion, BOBO BRAZIL. Before our Main Event, I have invited Mr. Brazil to join me for a special interview. Brazil comes to the announcers' table to join JR.JR: Thank you for joining us, sir. You had a tremendous title reign, and no question you lost the belt under very suspicious circumstances. Brazil: You got that right, JR. Fuji- I am comin' after you! And if your little playboy punk manager wants to get involved- I got a fistie with his name on it right here! Fuji, I got one thing to say to you, pal- NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! JR: Strong words from the former champion- but indeed, a strong approach will be necessary to overcome the tangled web that Fuji has weaved around the Old School Heavyweight Championship. This character KEN JEONG, alluded to by Brazil earlier- is a major player in the title picture. He has also contracted MR. SAITO, who we saw earlier in tonight's broadcast, and his influence extends even in to Wednesday Night Warfare and to the Heartland Ladies' division as well. Brazil is returning to this fight with all those elements in mind, hence, the statement "no more Mr. Nice Guy". Sounds kinda catchy! I think we will adopt that as the moniker for our next pay-per-view broadcast! We are scheduled for another Old School pay-per-view two weeks from tonight in Cleveland. We'll call it Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy! Cleveland has never seen an eruption the likes of Heartland Championship Wrestling- and it will be an explosion indeed when Fuji tangles with Bobo in the Main Event. All right, ladies and gentlemen- we have a championship match in store for you tonight in our final bout of the evening! MAIN EVENT: KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP KILLER KOWALSKI** (c) defeated ANGELO MOSCA**** by submissionThe two Canadian titans again went at it in an intense battle with no holds barred. Kowalski worked over Mosca with a variety of devastating claw holds, but Mosca fought back and refused to be overcome. Mosca delivered a Big Nasty Elbow Drop, and when Kowalski emerged unfazed, Mosca loaded up the elbow pad and nailed him again. Kowalski again kicked out, much to the amazement of Mosca and the cheering fans in the St. John Arena. Kowalski rallied, and planted Mosca with a massive shoulder breaker which left Angelo gasping on the mat. Kowalski applied the Claw Hold, and after a lengthy struggle, Mosca was forced to give it up! KILLER KOWALSKI RETAINS THE KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Congratulations to Killer Kowalski for capturing the victory in a rugged match! Neither Mosca nor Kowalski pulled any punches in that battle, and it is a fine sight indeed to watch them shake hands and leave the ring together. Two tougher men you will not find anywhere on the planet. But on this night, Kowalski proved himself the better man and he retains the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship. All right, ladies and gentlemen, this brings tonight's action to a close. Thank you for joining us! It has been our privilege to bring you all of tonight's Heartland professional wrestling action. Old School will be back next Saturday night with our last regular broadcast leading up to the March pay-per-view, Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy. And of course, don't forget to tune in on Wednesday night for the next edition of Warfare. Daytondave has a big show this week, to be headlined by the two-out-of-three falls Warfare Tag Team Championship match pitting THE BRISCOE BROTHERS against SHELTON BENJAMIN & CHARLIE HAAS! Until then, fans, so long from the Bluegrass State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare February 22, 2012 (Card #418) Weill Center, Sheboygan, Wisconsin The show opens with the tune, "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard playing overhead as CHRISTY HEMME dances in the center of the ring. DAYTONDAVE hits the ring, microphone in hand, and greets the cheering crowd.Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome back to Wednesday Night Warfare! It's great to be here in Sheboygan with another night of terrific Heartland Championship Wrestling action. We have a tremendous card planned for this evening, including an extra-special Main Event. Two out of three falls for the Warfare Tag Team Championship! For the third, and likely final time, CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN will square off against THE BRISCOE BROTHERS for all the marbles. Plus- you probably witnessed the mysterious phone call that JR JAMES received on Old School this past weekend. We still do not know the identity of this so-called "Man of Influence"- but Old School's LANNY POFFO has been investigating, and he will make an appearance here tonight to give us an update. Plenty of Warfare action in store for you tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! 2 COLD SCORPIO** pinned TOMMY DREAMER**Anothe fine match between two ECW mainstays! Dreamer got the advantage early on, dropping Scorpio with an inverted DDT and getting a near fall with a well-executed Spicolli Driver. But Scorpio battled back, pitching Dreamer out of the ring and obliterating him with an amazing springboard moonsault onto the arena floor! Dreamer was in trouble, and 2 Cold delivered a Scorpiotwister II which earned him the pinfall. Daytondave: That was a heckuva comeback by Scorpio. I thought he was done when Dreamer hit that Spicolli Driver. Great match! COLT CABANA pinned TYLER BLACK**Tyler was still wrestling hurt, and Colt capitalized. Tyler got off to a quick start, but was a step slow attacking Cabana at the turnbuckle and Colt caught him squarely with a back elbow smash. Before Black could recover, Colt wrapped him up in a Chicago Crab. Black refused to submit, but it took him a very long time to reach the ropes, and the damage was too great to overcome. With Black still in distress, Cabana dropped him with the Colt .45 and put him down for the three-count. Daytondave: Been a rough month for Tyler Black- he has been through the ringer with both ADAM PEARCE and BRENT ALBRIGHT- dude should think about some down time to let himself heal. JERRY LYNN pinned ADAM PEARCE***It was a heroic effort by Jerry Lynn, who overcame the odds to score an exciting win against Adam Pearce. Pearce tried to overpower Lynn at the outset, but Jerry pulled off a sweet reversal of a bodyslam attempt and planted him with a DDT. Pearce rolled out of the ring, and Lynn followed. As the two men battled on the floor, BRENT ALBRIGHT came to ringside to assist Pearce! But Lynn was on his guard, and put both men down with flying dropkicks. Pearce rolled back into the ring, and Lynn put him away with a Top Rope Hurracanrana and pinned him cleanly! After the decision, Albright hit the ring, and joined Pearce in coming after Lynn. But TYLER BLACK stormed back to the ring to come to Lynn's defense, and Albright and Pearce quickly bailed out and headed for safety.Daytondave: How about that? The battle lines have been drawn and Tyler Black is taking his stand against Pearce and his buddy Albright. What a great move by Jerry Lynn, fans- he got the win tonight, and more importantly, he got out with his hide intact. All right, fans- as promised, we're going to hear from LANNY-Daytondave is interrupted by the ringing of his cell phone.Daytondave: Hello? Why are you- oh... yes, sir. No, sir- that was JR's idea... sure, I get that. I'll tell Poffo that he should stop snooping... oh- of course I realize what a man of influence you are. Christy? Yes... I believe I can convince Christy to set up a meeting with you... thank you, sir. Yes- that was quite a good match... a tag team showdown? Great idea! Thank you for the suggestion, I will book Lynn and Black against Pearce and Albright on our next show. Yes, sir- I am looking forward to the Tag Team Championship match too. Thank you for watching. You will have your people set up a meeting with Christy? Excellent, sir... thank you for calling! Daytondave: Sorry about that, fans. I guess we won't be hearing from LANNY POFFO tonight after all. But the good news is, the Man of Influence has agreed to have a meeting with Christy Hemme to discuss his interest in the Heartland. I am dying to know who this man is- and what he has in store for us. We can only wait and see at this point. Let's head back to the ring. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION TAJIRI pinned CHRIS CANDIDO**The green mist claimed another victim. After a tightly contested bout, Candido caught Tajiri in a vicious chokehold, and Tajiri spewed the mist to break free. Candido was blinded, and despite Tammy's shrieks, he walked into a vicious Shining Wizard from Tajiri that put his lights out. Daytondave: Unbelievable! This guy is something else- that mist is dangerous! That's already three guys here on Warfare that have felt the sting of the mysterious mist. Can anybody put a stop to Tajiri? All right, fans- we have two matches left tonight, and both are huge. This next singles match will put two guys against each other who have been on a roll in recent weeks. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI held the FLW United States Championship, but since he lost that title he is back to full-time duty here in the Heartland and he hasn't missed a beat. But his opponent tonight, CHRIS JERICHO, has wandered over here from Old School and has been incredibly unpredictable since he got here. This should be entertaining! CHRIS JERICHO* (w/ TRACI BROOKS) defeated CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI*** by submissionAn incredible match for Jericho! Despite his size disadvantage, Jericho came out with all guns blazing and dominated the match with an aerial onslaught. Jericho came at Claudio from every angle, highlighted by a Missile Dropkick that sent Claudio to the canvas hard. Claudio tried to escape to the arena floor, but Jericho launched himself over the top rope with a violent suicide tope that left both men sprawled on the concrete. Jericho was first to his feet, and Claudio barely beat the ten-count back into the ring. When he did make it back, Jericho immediately wrapped him up in the Liontamer, and Claudio was forced to give it up. Daytondave: I must say, that was one of the best matches we have seen from Jericho since he returned to the Heartland. So much of his energy has been invested in his schemes to put over Team Canada that he has really been an underachiever on the mat. But tonight- we came out and he took down a seriously bad dude in Claudio. Okay, fans- are you readu for the big Main Event! It's time to decide the Warfare Tag Team Championship!MAIN EVENT: WARFARE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - TWO OF THREE FALLS CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN*** defeated THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (MARK*** & JAY*****)First fall: The champions started quickly! Haas came out on fire, taking down both Briscoes with a flurry of dropkicks. Mark took a beating, and tagged out to Jay, who met a similar fate. Charlie caught Jay coming in with a hot shot over the top rope, and dropped him with a beautiful Spinning Belly-to-Belly suplex to score a quick pinfall! Second fall: Jay came back immediately after being pinned and angrily launched himself at Haas. Charlie was equal to the task, and managed to turn the momentum. But when Shelton came in for a double-team, Jay was waiting and he alertly clotheslined both champions! Mark saw the opportunity to climb to the top turnbuckle, and launched himself onto Shelton with an awesome Doomsday Device. Jay made the cover on Benjamin, and quickly the match was even at one fall apiece! Third fall: After two lightning-quick pins, the decisive fall was hotly contested. All four men threw caution to the wind, flying around the ring and battling on the arena floor. Benjamin took to the sky, showing off his superior athleticism with a stunning suicide tope on Jay. Both men were wiped out on the arena floor, and both got to their feet and threw down an a fierce duel on the concrete. The battle barely made it back to the ring before the ten-count, and Jay was particularly in trouble. Shelton made the desperation tag to Haas, who hit the ring and immediately locked Jay into the Haas of Pain! Exhausted and in agony, Jay nearly tapped out, but Mark made the save and the match continued. Mark finally made the tag, and went toe-to-toe with Charlie in a ferocious exchange! Both men were fresh, and the battle lasted for several minutes until Mark ran smack into a Big Boot from Haas and went down to the mat. Haas capitalized immediately, hoisting Mark off the mat and delivering a crushing belly-to-back suplex to finish off the victory! CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN RETAIN THE WARFARE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPSAfter the match, the action turned bizarre when AL SNOW & TAJIRI paraded to ringside. Snow was animated, cheering and celebrating with the champions. Both Benjamin and Haas seemed perplexed as Snow jumped and shouted. The Briscoes didn't take kindly to the antics of Snow, and Mark shoved him aside angrily as the former champs departed from the ring area. Tajiri rushed to the aid of his partner and shoved Mark, but Jay quickly intervened and led Mark back to the locker room. Snow continued to follow the champions eagerly, with Tajiri in tow, until all four men disappeared through the curtain.Daytondave: Okay... that was just... goofy. With Al Snow, you can never know what to expect next. But let's not forget- we just witnessed an outstanding wrestling match here tonight in the Main Event. Congratulations to Haas and Benjamin for holding on to the Tag Titles after a tremendous challenge by the Briscoes. That was awesome! All right, fans- we're done here. It's been a great night on Warfare- thanks for checking us out. We'll be off next week, but we'll be back at you in two weeks with another edition of Warfare and another championship match! It will be NIGEL McGUINESS getting his shot at AJ STYLES in the Main Event for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship. Plus, we'll see the tag team grudge match pitting ADAM PEARCE & BRENT ALBRIGHT against JERRY LYNN & TYLER BLACK. And, with any luck, CHRISTY HEMME will have a report on her meeting with this unusual "Man of Influence". And of course, fans- Old School continues to roll on, so be sure to check out my boy JR JAMES this weekend for another dose of Heartland action. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night February 25, 2012 (Card #419) Memorial Athletic Center, Kent, Ohio The show opens with the tune, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. The fans buzz with anticipation as JR JAMES hits the ring with a microphone and a confident smile.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night! We are one week away from the next Old School pay-per-view! We'll be just up the road in Cleveland one week from tonight to bring you Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy, and the card is shaping up nicely for the big show. The Main Event is set- it will be BOBO BRAZIL attempting to regain his Old School Heavyweight Championship against the man who took the title, MR. FUJI. Fuji has surrounded himself with a most unusual entourage which makes him a dangerous champion indeed, but it was Bobo himself who declared "No More Mr. Nice Guy" to set the stage for next weekend's rematch. With that announcement, I am proud to present the banner for next week's show: JR: There you go, fans! Next week in Cleveland will be a fantastic show. But before we get ahead of ourselves, we have business to take care of tonight. We need to determine the #1 contenders for the Old School Tag Team Championship to face ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA for the titles next week! Plus, later tonight, we will introduce the men who are negotiating with the Man of Influence to sign contracts with Old School. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! THE IRON SHEIK pinned THE DESTROYER****The Iron Sheik opened the card with an impressive victory over a tough opponent. Sheik was able to match Destroyer on the technical moves, then put his loaded boot to advantage and weaken his foe. After several brutal suplexes, Sheik used the Sidewinder to set up a pinfall. JR: What a great match for the Iranian Sheik. It's not often that a master of the sport like the Destroyer is put aside in such a decisive manner. The cell phone rings, but this time JR does not appear surprised. JR: Yes? Good evening, sir... the new talent? Yes, they are all here tonight. Would you like me to introduce them? Contracts? No, sir... the contracts are not signed... the new Commissioner is coming... and I am concerned about the possibility that he might need to approve the... yes, I am sorry, sir. Yes... you are a man of influence... but the commissioner.... excuse me? Sir, with all due respect, how can you make a statement like that about the Commissioner? I'm sure he's really NOT as dumb as a stump... WHAT? I will NOT make such a statement publically about the Commissioner's family tree... no, sir... I have not met the Commissioner's mother, but I am sure she is not THAT kind of individual... I promise, sir- we'll have this all worked out by next week's pay-per-view... sir? You want the new talent to wrestle tonight? I'll see what I can do, sir... yes, sir, I agree... it is a privilege for me to speak with you this evening, no question about that... yes, sir- the arrangements are being made for next week, your private suite will be in place as you requested. Thank you, sir. JR looks perplexed for a moment.JR: Ladies and gentlemen, we have a surprise for this evening! Not only will we be introducing three newcomers to Old School, but the Man of Influence has instructed me to put these men in the ring. So, please welcome our newest acquisitions to the Heartland- BOB BACKLUND, DON MURACO, and BUDDY ROGERS!The fans erupt with applause as Backlund, Muraco, and Rogers head to the ring. JR: Welcome, gentlemen, to Heartland Championship Wrestling. No question, this is one of the most exciting acquisitions of talent to arrive here in quite some time. Thank you for joining us tonight! Unfortunately, as you may have heard, your benefactor has instructed me to put you in the ring tonight. We'll see what we can arrange- Before JR can finish his thoughts, Muraco turns and sucker-punches Backlund! Backlund goes to the mat, but quickly springs to his feet and takes down Muraco with a double-leg dive. Backlund begins to pepper Muraco with forearms as referees stream out from backstage to separate the melee.JR: Never mind that, fellas! I think we have our next match of the night! Let's hook these boys up! DON MURACO* pinned BOB BACKLUND*****Pitted against one of the premier tacticians in wrestling, Muraco came looking for a fight. Muraco took an aggressive approach and punished Backlund with elbow smashes and body slams. Backlund was hurting, and Muraco did more damage with a pair of Asiatic Spikes! With Muraco in control, Backlund pulled out all the stops, firing back on the Magnificent One with forearm smashes and finally catching him with a butterfly suplex for a near-fall! But Muraco was still the fresher man, and he planted Backlund with a vertical suplex that rocked the ring. Muraco saw the opening and hoisted Backlund into the air, then delivered a thunderous Backbreaker which put Backlund down. Muraco made the cover, and earned the three-count! JR: A spectacular bout indeed! Backlund was a dominant force in the sport of wrestling for many years, putting aside men like Muraco during that tenure. But tonight, Muraco has taken a small measure of revenge, and no question he has earned the respect of the fans here in Old School. All right, ladies and gentlemen- we still need a match for the newcomer Buddy Rogers. Booker T? Booker- my notes inform me that you are not scheduled this evening. Let's bring Booker out to the ring and let Mr. Rogers test his mettle! BUDDY ROGERS defeated BOOKER T* by submissionBooker T did not look the least bit happy to be called out for this impromptu match. Rogers proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is a dangerous opponent, flooring Booker with a forearm uppercut on the opening lock-up to immediately take control. Rogers followed up with an impressive series of dropkicks to put Booker on the canvas. Immediately, Rogers wrapped on the Figure-Four grapevine, forcing Booker to scream his submission. JR: Wow! The original Nature Boy is also the originator- and the perfector- of that Figure-4 maneuver. Many a man has fallen prey to that move over the years, and the Heartland has been put on notice of things to come. As for Booker T- he obviously has other things on his mind. One week from tonight, Booker and his tag team partner, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE, will be at Havoc together in a tag team Weapons Match against their arch-nemesis team of ANGELO MOSCA and THE MOUNTIE. The pain of that figure four grapevine is nowhere near as intense as what lies in store for all four men next Saturday night in Cleveland. Also on that show- the Old School Tag Team Championship match! The challengers to the titles will be determined in our next match of the evening. OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE NEW ZEALAND SHEEPHERDERS (BUTCH MILLER*** & LUKE WILLIAMS**) defeated DAVE TAYLOR & FIT FINLAY*******A wild bout from start to finish! The Herders and the Brits both came out at maximum intensity and pulled no punches. Finley caught Luke in the early going and did some damage, planting him with the Celtic Cross. Luke was in trouble, but the match turned when the referee was caught in a collision between Finlay and Luke at the turnbuckle. The referee went down, and all hell broke loose! Finlay retrieved his shillelagh, and went to work on both Sheepherders. Both Kiwis took damage, but Butch got in to the ring and slammed Taylor headfirst into Finlay! Both Brits were staggered. The Kiwis pitched Taylor out to the arena floor, and opened up on Finlay with a vicious double-team attack! By the time a replacement referee was summoned, Finlay was in desperate straits. The Herders executed a punishing Double Gutbuster, and Finlay was pinned cleanly to end the match. JR: The Sheepherders are devastating as a unit, in particular when the situation turns chaotic. They proved that tonight, and earned their shot at the gold next week at Havoc! Inoki and Baba will have to be at the top of their game, and no question they will need to keep the action inside the squared circle if they are to emerge successful from that match. Also next week, ladies and gentlemen, we will see a very dangerous situation come to a head when THE MOUNTIE & ANGELO MOSCA square off against BOOKER T & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE in a Weapons Match! This evening, we'll see the final confrontation between Page and Mosca in preparation for next week's showdown. GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE* defeated ANGELO MOSCA**The match was filled with action from start to finish- and beyond! It didn't take long for this one to break down. Action quickly spilled outside of the ring and Mosca blasted Page with a Loaded Elbow Pad! Page was staggered, but fought back with a fury. Page rallied and floored Mosca with a discus clothesline. Mosca went down, but his adrenalin surged and he battled back. Mosca gained the advantage and set up Page for the Heart Punch, but DDP alertly reversed the move and dropped Mosca with a Diamond Cutter to score the pinfall! After the decision, Page continued to go after Mosca. The referee quickly interposed himself, holding Page back, and Mosca picked himself off the mat in a rage. A second referee tried to restrain Mosca, but Angelo shoved him to the mat. Additional Heartland officials streamed in from back stage and managed to pull apart the melee before any further damage was done. JR: The passions continue to mount between these Canadians and Booker and Page! Under normal circumstances, Mosca's actions in laying hands on a referee would earn him a suspension- but tonight we will allow for some leniency. Next week, the gloves come off and the weapons come out when these two squads hook up at Havoc! JR is interrupted as LANNY POFFO enters the broadcast area.Poffo: Boss- you need to know something. I just received a video from STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!JR: Austin? Seriously? We had better take a look. Poffo: Thank you, sir. I had the video guys cue it up already. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN walks in front of the camera.......Austin: "Hey Bradshaw.......up here...........You think your smart stiffing me? Well i don't think so......Here's the deal....... you made a fool out of Stone Cold........i can respect that......but i cant let it be!! You need to be watching your back......." The AWO Music plays over head...........and we see SCOTT HALL, KEVIN NASH, SID VICIOUS, & SCOTT NORTON walk up behind Austin..........Austin: "I have my back covered........how about you? We will get revenge.....Don't worry......it wont be tonight, and it sure as hell wont be in a Heartland Ring!! oh no.......you wont make a dime off of it.......but it will COST you plenty........You wont know when, you wont know where......but you will know its coming!! You better grow some eyes in the back of that thick skull of yours.....because we will be watching.....and waiting........and when the time is right........ WHAM!!! out go your lights!! but we may not stop there, oh hell no!! We may take it further.....we may break your legs......it sure would be hard to wrestle like that.....we may break your neck!! That's the beauty of it........YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WE WILL DO, OR WHEN WE WILL DO IT!!! So make sure you keep watching over your shoulder.......beacuse sooner or later, when you least expect it.......the AWO will rid the world of Bradshaw..............ONCE AND FOR ALL!!! The screen fades to fuzz. The scene returns to JR.JR: My goodness- that is without question an alarming message directed toward Mr. Bradshaw. Bradshaw has a knack for making enemies... and in this case I am concerned that he has angered a dangerous man, with dangerous friends indeed. He is still dealing with his internal issues in the Heartland, as tonight's Main Event will attest. BARRY WINDHAM and DUSTY RHODES are none too happy that Bradshaw's actions have put MIKE ROTUNDA out of action. They are determined to take Bradshaw to account for his misdeeds, and having Austin and his crew on Bradshaw's tail will not improve his situation. With that as a backdrop, we present to you tonight's Main Event. Bradshaw's music hits the sound system, and he emerges through the curtain accompanied by STAN HANSEN. Bradshaw looks shaken, and glances nervously around the arena. After a moment, he flashes his trademark grin, puffs out his chest, and struts to the ring.MAIN EVENT GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION STAN HANSEN** & BRADSHAW*** defeated DUSTY RHODES***** & BARRY WINDHAM****The Main Event, as expected, was a bloodbath. These hated rivals fought all over the arena, and all four men took a pounding. Rhodes and Hansen had a prolonged battle on the arena floor, firing punches at one another. Dusty caught Hansen with a straight right hand, drawing a trickle of blood from Hansen's nose. Hansen was undaunted, and fired back with a Lariat that took Dusty to the concrete. Hansen smashed Dusty face first against the steel ring steps and opened a nasty gash over his left eye! As Hansen and Rhodes brawled, Windham and Bradshaw did most of their work inside the ring. Windham scored some damage against Bradshaw, and nearly put his lights out with a Sleeper Hold, but Bradshaw fought his way out. Windham tried to set up a Flying Lariat, but Bradshaw nailed him with a Big Boot that rocked Barry and sent him sprawling to the mat. Hansen and Dusty finally returned to the ring, where Bradshaw was waiting and joined Hansen with a massive double clothesline on Dusty! Dusty tumbled to the floor, and Bradshaw saw his opening. Windham staggered to his feet, and Bradshaw plastered him with the Clothesline From Hell! Bradshaw went for the cover, and pinned Windham cleanly before Rhodes could respond. After the pin, Rhodes managed to pull Windham to safety. Rhodes tried to help his partner back to the dressing room, but they were waylayed by Hansen! Hansen and Dusty once again erupted into a fierce brawl on the ring ramp. Despite being bloodied, Rhodes hammered on Hansen with lefts and rights, staggering him. With the crowd roaring, Dusty unleashed a Bionic Elbow on Hansen! Hansen was knocked off his feet and sent tumbling down the ring ramp. As Hansen fell, he careen into Bradshaw, who was storming up the ramp. Hansen and Bradshaw went down together in a heap on the ramp, where they laid in humiliation as Rhodes helped Windham back to the locker room.JR: Looks like Dusty Rhodes just went Bowling for Bradshaw! An inauspicious ending indeed for the team of Bradshaw and Hansen, despite the fact that they were able to secure the victory. Next week, it will be a Street Fight in Cleveland with Hansen and Rhodes going at it once again! Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy is shaping up to be a tremendous card indeed. Our evening is complete tonight, but no question we are looking forward with great anticipation to next week's pay-per-view. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night proudly presents: March 3, 2012 Wolstein Center, Cleveland, Ohio The show opens with the tune, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. JR JAMES and LANNY POFFO enter the ring as the fans cheer enthusiastically. JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy! It is a privilege to be coming to you live from the campus of Cleveland State University with tonight's pay-per-view broadcast. We have a terrific show planned for you this evening! Lanny: That's right, JR! The Old School Heavyweight Championship will be the focus of tonight's Main Event! JR: That will be an intriguing Main Event indeed. Your good friend, KEN JEONG, will be leading his champion, MR. FUJI, into his first-ever title defense against the man whose belt he captured, BOBO BRAZIL!Lanny: My good friend? Where did you get that idea? I am a professional broadcast journalist! JR: With an invitation to Mr. Jeong's private skybox tonight, right? Lanny: Only to meet the Man of Influence, JR. Whatever it takes to get the story. JR: I thought CHRISTY HEMME was going to meet the Man. Lanny: She might need backup. I am bringing an extra pencil for her. JR: Good thinking, Lanny. Enjoy the evening! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION DAVE TAYLOR*** defeated BRAD ARMSTRONG****** by submissionThe opening bout was a prolonged matchup between heated rivals. Taylor controlled the early segments of the match, outdueling Armstrong with superior counter-wrestling. Taylor roughed up Armstrong at the turnbuckle, and Brad was gassed from the assault. Taylor charged at Brad, but the referee got caught in the middle of the collision and went down hard. With the ref incapacitated, Taylor took the bout to the arena floor and pummeled Brad! Armstrong took a pounding, but finally managed to turn the tables, whipping Taylor hard into the steel ring steps! Armstrong rallied, bringing the fans to their feet with a sensational Suicide Dive which took both men out of commission! Finally, the referee came around, and moved the combatants back into the ring. Taylor again took over with a series of suplexes until Armstrong was spent. At that point, Taylor locked on a Sleeper Hold and put Armstrong away in a matter of moments. After the decision, Taylor stood menacingly over Armstrong as the referee revived him. Once Armstrong came around, Taylor helped him to his feet and shook his hand before leaving the ring. JR: What a match! I believe that in spite of the defeat, young Brad has earned the respect of the Brit. I am afraid that this next contest might not come to such a happy ending. These two teams have been dueling all over the Heartland- and tonight the confrontation comes to a head in the Heartland's first-ever tag team Weapons Match! WEAPONS MATCH TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA* & THE MOUNTIE***) defeated BOOKER T**** & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE********A horrible bloodbath between these sworn enemies. All four men fought hard in the early going. After several minutes of brawling, Mosca landed the first big blow of the contest when he smacked Page with a loaded elbow pad. Page was staggered, and Team Canada took control. Mosca retrieved a steel chair and wailed on Page, putting him on the canvas. Booker tried desperately to get the tag, and finally took matters into his own hands. Booker procured a metal chain and whacked Mountie, gashing his forehead, but Booker turned immediately and ate a chair shot from Mosca! Booker went down, and meanwhile, Mountie retrieved his Shock Stick! Mountie got after Page with the Shock Stick and lit him up twice. Booker was unable to assist as Mosca pulled him back into the ring and put him away with a piledriver! After the decision, Mosca picked up the chair again and attacked Page. Mosca delivered several brutal chair shots to Page before the referee finally pulled him away. Page lay unconscious on the mat until paramedics were finally summoned to take him out of the ring area on a stretcher.JR: The nasty feud appears to have claimed a victim tonight. DDP is in rough shape. It might take some time to get him back to the locker room and he is going to need some medical attention. While we are waiting, let's check in with LANNY POFFO for an update. The scene shifts to the arena skybox, where the atmosphere is festive. Music is playing, a buffet is being served, and an open bar is keeping the party well lubricated. Lanny Poffo is milling around through the crowd, and finally spots KEN JEONG. Jeong is sipping a glass of champagne, accompanied by AMBER O'NEAL and MERCEDES MARTINEZ. AL SNOW and TAJIRI are playing poker with Head, and Head appears to have accumulated a massive stack of chips. Jeong sees Lanny, and rises from his chair. He quickly summons a waiter, who pops another bottle of champagne and pours a glass for Lanny, who awkwardly accepts.Jeong: Larry Poffo! Come and join the party! The International Playboy is pleased to welcome you! Enjoy some champagne... we bring you sushi... you need lady! Ken Jeong has many lady friends from America, Mexico, European ladies.... International Playboy always takes care of friends! Jeong claps his hands, and a pair of voluptuous beauties appear.Jeong: Ladies... meet my good friend Larry from Old School.... you ladies take good care of Larry tonight! Larry, you enjoy the hospitality from the International Playboy! The ladies lead Poffo to a chair and sit him down. One lady pulls at Lanny's tie as the other rubs his shoulders. Lanny appears visibly nervous.Lanny: Ummm.. thank you Mr. Jeong... but I came tonight to see the Man of Influence. Is he here? He is supposed to meet with CHRISTY HEMME tonight. Jeong: Christy Hemme? Oh yes... she very special lady... the International Playboy likes Christy Hemme... but Christy Hemme busy tonight with special guest. Pretty redheaded lady... you like redheads? Ken Jeong can help you meet redheaded lady to date! Another champagne cork pops, and Jeong turns his attention to other party guests. Lanny continues to look around nervously as his new lady friends sip champagne. One lady picks up a grape and brings it to Lanny's lips. Poffo's eyes open widely, and the camera quickly shifts back to the ring area.JR: Quite a celebration in skybox this evening. Mr. Poffo may need some hazardous duty pay for his efforts tonight. We will check back with Lanny later this evening- but in the ring, the mood is about to change as three of the most dangerous men on the planet are about to consummate their mutual hatred in a Triple Threat Match. TRIPLE THREAT GRUDGE MATCH BARRY WINDHAM**** defeated JIMMY JACOBS*** and BRADSHAW**The match started with a bang! Jacobs immediately went after Windham with a metal spike, but Windham alertly ducked the wild blow and Bradshaw came after Jacobs! Bradshaw pitched Jacobs out of the ring and the fight was on! Windham wasted no time getting in on the action, mixing it up with Jacobs on the arena floor, but as soon as action returned to the ring, Bradshaw clobbered Windham with a Clothesline From Hell! Jacobs interrupted the pin attempt, and battled with Bradshaw until Windham recovered. Windham caught Bradshaw from behind and hoisted him for a high vertical suplex, sending Bradshaw toppling to the canvas. Jacobs took this opportunity to retrieve his railroad spike and smack it solidly into Windham's rib cage! Windham went down, and Jacobs continued to savage Windham with the spike, opening a nasty gash across Barry's forehead. JR: Oh my goodness- ladies and gentlemen, this match has already turned ugly. Windham is split wide open and bleeding profusely! Windham rolled out to the arena floor, but Jacobs kept after him, launching himself over the top rope and crashing onto Barry in a spectacular collision which left both men in a heap on the concrete. Bradshaw assessed the situation, and seeing Windham as the weaker man, tossed Barry back into the ring and dropped him with a big boot. Jacobs returned to the ring in time to interrupt the pin attempt, but Bradshaw planted him with a DDT! Jacobs barely kicked out as Windham was too weak to make the save. Bradshaw continued to beat down Jacobs, who finally fled to the arena floor to safety. But Bradshaw pursued him to the floor and went for broke, diving off the ring apron to take out Jacobs with a flying lariat! But Bradshaw overshot his blow, and after nailing Jacobs, Bradshaw himself crashed awkwardly into the steel security railing at ringside. Windham recovered, and came after Jacobs on the arena floor. He planted Jimmy with a brutal vertical suplex onto the concrete! Jacobs was in agony on the floor, and WIndham pitched him back into the ring. His face covered in blood, Windham managed to hoist Jacobs onto the top turnbuckle and plant him with the Sweetwater Superplex! Windham made the cover, and the referee counted three as Bradshaw remained crumpled on the arena floor. After the decision, Windham was a mess! Despite the blood pouring over his face, he rose in triumph and lifted his hand in the air. Jacobs was quick to recover, and dashed at Windham, spearing him to the mat! Jacobs and Windham brawled viciously as security forces streamed in from backstage. Bradshaw took the opportunity to slink away from the ring and back to the dressing room unnoticed. Jacobs and Windham continued to fight, despite the efforts of multiple security officers to disperse the fracas. After several minutes, order was restored and the men were ushered back to the locker room. JR: That confrontation was everything we might have expected. A bloody mess! Windham comes away victorious, but his crimson mask is evidence of what a dangerous situation he has on his hands. Windham and Jacobs will be in action once again at the FLW pay-per-view "Rage in the Cage" on March 25 as they renew their hostilities in one-on-one competition. Bradshaw, for his part, has escaped with his hide and his wallet intact. Should we have expected any less? My only question is- where was JAMES THE ENFORCER when we needed him? All right, ladies and gentlemen- we have just witnessed two horribly violent matches- and who knows what the next contest will bring? It is the Old School Tag Team Championship bout on tap as the elegant champions, ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA, go to battle against the highly unpredictable NEW ZEALAND SHEEPHERDERS.OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ANTONIO INOKI****** & GIANT BABA*(c) defeated THE NEW ZEALAND SHEEPHERDERS (BUTCH MILLER** & LUKE WILLIAMS***)After a colossal war, the champions finally prevailed to hold onto their titles. The Japanese tried their best- and succeeded- in keeping the match in the ring for the most part. Inoki battled both men for a long period at the beginning of the match, getting the best of Luke and gaining a near-fall after a stiff enzuigiri. The Kiwis rallied, hitting Inoki with a double-team battering ram which sent him tumbling out of the ring. When Inoki went to the floor, the Kiwis went to work, sending him crashing to the ring post! The challengers unleashed a brutal series of double-team attacks on Inoki, but could not put him away. Inoki finally foiled a double-team attack by the Herders and managed to tag in to Baba. Baba took over on both opponents, overpowering the challengers with boots and chops. Baba delivered a crushing Backbreaker Drop on Williams, and nearly captured the win before Miller made the save. Miller hit the ring, and also felt the sting of the Backbreaker Drop, barely kicking out before the three-count. The Herders got their collective heads together and managed another double-team effort on Baba, forcing him to tag in the severely weakened Inoki. But Inoki was up to the task, catching Miller with a jumping knee smash to put him on the mat. As the referee put Williams out of the ring, Inoki locked Miller into the Cobra Twist! Miller fought the hold, but wore down and was finally forced to tap out from the pain. ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA RETAIN THE OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPSJR: That was a tremendous match! Both teams really showed their abilities tonight- and our congratulations are due to Inoki and Baba for a successful title defense. These four men put everything on the line tonight, and the New Zealanders very nearly came away with the championship. But tonight belongs to the champions, and they have earned their keep after a grueling contest. While we are preparing for the next bout, let's check in on LANNY POFFO upstairs in the skybox. The scene shifts to the skybox, where the frivolity continues. Lanny Poffo is dancing with a pair of voluptuous ladies, and appears to be learning the Electric Slide. AL SNOW and TAJIRI are playing a game of Twister with Head. Ken Jeong is sitting in an elevated chair, drinking a mai tai, with Amber O'Neal and Mercedes Martinez sitting at his feet. JAMES THE ENFORCER is seen at the buffet table, knocking back sushi and raw oysters, watching the dancing ladies with enthusiasm. In the background, CHRISTY HEMME slips past the crowd and heads toward a darkened hallway at the back of the skybox. Lanny catches sight of Christy and abruptly pulls away from the dance, attempting to follow Christy out of the room. His progress is interrupted when MR. SAITO and DON MURACO, each wearing dark suits, sunglasses, and ear pieces, step into Lanny's path and prevent him from following Christy. Saito and Muraco each grab one of Poffo's shoulders, hoisting him off the ground and carrying him back to the dance floor. Lanny's ladies grab him by the necktie and the dance continues as the scene returns to ringside.JR: Looks like good news and bad news from the Skybox! The good news is, Christy appears to have made her way through the party to meet the Man of Influence. The bad news is... LANNY POFFO is in considerable peril. James the Enforcer seems to have found his comfort zone among the gastronomical and anatomical bliss that can only be provided by the International Playboy himself. But once again, ladies and gentlemen, business is about to pick up in our next match- a Cleveland Street Fight! CLEVELAND STREET FIGHT STAN HANSEN*** pinned DUSTY RHODES*****As expected, the brawl between these former partners went all over the arena! The fisticuffs started at the opening bell, and it didn't take long for action to leave the ring. Hansen and Rhodes battled up the aisle to the concession stand, where Rhodes grabbed Hansen and put his face through the popcorn machine! Rhodes grabbed an ice cream scoop from the storage shelf and wailed on Hansen as the fans roared! Hansen retreated, crashing through the doors to the sports bar. Hansen grabbed a cigarette lighter from the bar and used a tequila shot to fashion a makeshift blow torch, blasting a ball a flame into the face of Dusty! Rhodes was temporarily blinded, and Hansen took charge. He clobbered Dusty with a Lariat, sending Rhodes careening onto the bar. Drinks flew, and angry patrons kicked and stomped Rhodes as he crumpled to the floor! JR: You never mess with a man's drinking buddies! As popular as Rhodes is, he is not gonna spill a fellow's beer and not be taken to account. Hansen pressed the attack, lifting Rhodes from the floor and slamming him through another table! He moved in confidently as Rhodes staggered to his feet, but Rhodes caught Hansen by the arm and whipped him into the pinball machine! Hansen was stunned, and Dusty loaded up for the bionic elbow! But as Dusty moved in, he took a whack across the back from a wooden chair swung by an angry drinker! Rhodes was staggered, and Hansen launched himself at Dusty with a huge Lariat! The blow caught Dusty squarely under the chin, lifting him off his feet. Dusty collapsed to the floor, and Hansen collapsed on top of him. With Dusty's shoulders down, the referee counted three! Despite being nearly out cold, Hansen was on top and was declared the winner! Meanwhile, the brawling spread throughout the bar! Before long, the men in the bar, along with a few of their lady friends, were throwing punches, chairs, and beer bottles around the room! Security was clearly outnumbered, and the fighting escalated. Finally, PATRICK SWAYZE and SAM ELLIOTT waded into the fray and picked apart the brawlers. Order was eventually restored, and the scene returned to ringside.JR: That was without question one of the monumental brawls I have ever witnessed. I don't think these two are finished with each other by any stretch of the imagination. It appears that cooler heads have prevailed, in large part due to the efforts of our good friends Dalton and Wade Garrett. Did I see TERRY FUNK in the middle of the melee? All right, ladies and gentlemen- after all the drama and all the bloodshed, the time has finally come for tonight's Main Event! The Old School Heavyweight Championship is on the line! MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MR. FUJI** (w/ KEN JEONG, MR. SAITO, & DON MURACO) (c) pinned BOBO BRAZIL*** to retain the Old School titleIn a wild Main Event, Mr. Fuji managed to get by with a little help from his friends to hold on to his Old School Title! Brazil came out with the power game and controlled much of the early action, but Fuji ducked away from a falling elbow drop and Bobo crashed to the canvas hard. Fuji went to work with a series of devastating karate blows to put Bobo on the mat, then delivered his trademark Banzai Drop! Fuji connected, but Bobo kicked out! Fuji was astonished, and Ken Jeong was beside himself at ringside. Jeong leaped to the ring apron, pointing and shouting, bringing the attention of the referee to the opposite side of the ring. Before Bobo could get to his feet, Muraco and Saito caught him by the legs and yanked him backwards, sending him painfully against the ring post! Bobo groaned and writhed on the mat as Fuji went to the turnbuckle and delivered another Banzai Drop, and this time there was no kicking out. MR. FUJI RETAINS THE OLD SCHOOL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPAfter the decision, Ken Jeong hit the ring, jumping and cheering and waving his arms wildly. Streamers fell from the rafters, and Jeong was joined in the ring by AL SNOW, HEAD, TAJIRI, AMBER O'NEAL, MERCEDES MARTINEZ, DON MURACO, MR. SAITO, LANNY POFFO, & JAMES THE ENFORCER. Champagne was poured for all, but the crowd remained silent as Brazil rolled gingerly out of the ring and hobbled back to the dressing room.JR: Congratulations are in order, I suppose, for one Mr. Fuji for retaining his Old School Heavyweight Championship. I, for one, am indeed outraged at the fashion in which Fuji conducted himself in tonight's title defense- but at the end of the day, the title remains around his waist. Bobo Brazil represented Old School in marvelous fashion as the previous champion, and I am saddened that tonight's result will move Mr. Brazil back to the bottom of the ladder of championship contenders. On that note, ladies and gentlemen, we will conclude tonight's broadcast of Heartland Havoc XLIV: No More Mr. Nice Guy. That moniker has indeed proven to be prophetic on this night, as we have seen some horrific violence and some hellacious feuds consummated here in Cleveland. As we conclude this night, we thank you so much for joining us! Old School will be back on the air one week from tonight to bring you more great professional wrestling action. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare March 7, 2012 (Card #420) Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin The show opens with the tune, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard playing overhead. CHRISTY HEMME dances in the ring as the fans cheer loudly. DAYTONDAVE hits the ring, looking stylish in a European suit as he opens the show.Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome back to Wednesday Night Warfare! It is an exciting night for the Heartland as we come back to Wisconsin. The Heartland Heavyweight Championship is on the line in tonight's Main Event when AJ STYLES defends the belt against NIGEL McGUINESS. Spring is headed this way, and that means Dawn of Destiny 2012 is rapidly approaching. As I am sure you know, the Heartland is buzzing with activity as we welcome in new talent from all over the globe! We'll check out some newcomers tonight! And, we'll have Christy give us an update about her meeting this past weekend with the so-called "Man Of Influence". So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show! TOMMY DREAMER** pinned DELIRIOUS*****A chaotic match to open the show! Delirious was all over the ring, babbling and coming at Dreamer from every direction. But Tommy kept his head and finally caught Delirious with an inverted DDT which took the wind out of his sails. Dreamer rolled Delirious out of the ring and gave him a stiff pummeling. Delirious tried to rally, but missed a running attack at the turnbuckle and found himself hung up in the ropes. Dreamer wasted no time, delivering a Tree of Woe Dropkick that put Delirious down for the count. Daytondave: Dreamer got the best of that match, without a doubt. Nothing fazes that man. All right- next up with have the debut of a talented newcomer in the Heartland Ladies' Division! BETH PHOENIX pinned TINA MORETTI***Beth was decidely unimpressed with the debut of the famous Tina Moretti. Beth took control early in the match, powering out of an attempted catapult. She went to work on Tina with a series of power moves and finished her off with a thunderous Glam Slam. Daytondave: No matter how impressive these newcomers might be, you don't just walk into the Heartland and expect the competition to lay down for you. Especially not Beth Phoenix- I wouldn't mess with her under any circumstances. KEVIN STEEN**** pinned TYLER BLACK***In a remarkable match, Steen survived everything Tyler could throw at him! After nailing several spectacular aerial moves, Tyler missed on a springboard plancha and crashed hard onto the concrete. Steen came back, torturing Black with a brutal crossface on the concrete floor, barely making it back to the ring ahead of the 10-count. Tyler slid back into the ring, but Steen immediately hoisted him up into the Package Piledriver and pinned him cleanly. Daytondave: Unbelievable! Steen appears to be able to take all kinds of punishment and just keep fighting. He was on the receiving end of Black's entire arsenal before he took over. Very impressive! All right, fans- it's time for a special announcement. Just three weeks ago, we saw CHRIS HERO win the Warfare Combat Championship! Unfortunately, Hero and CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI have decided to return to their roots. They are headed back to Tradition, and the Combat Championship is now vacant! The good news is, the Combat Championship will be decided at Dawn Of Destiny 2012 in a six-man ladder match! For the next three weeks, Warfare will conduct a series of singles matches to determine the six men who will compete in that match. The first entrant will be the man who wins this next contest. Better yet, we have a surprise entrant into the competition- the controversial Tradition legend, STEVE CORINO! In case you missed it, Corino has departed Tradition and burned his bridges on the way out. Check out his comments from his farewell speech: The video screen lights up, showing Corino in the Tradition locker room holding the title belt.
Corino: And now I hold in my hand the one thing that has eluded me...the one thing that everyone told me that because of the blood sweat and tears I gave to TRADITION I should have..and that is this title....and now it is mine...all mine! I have it...and to Rob Bennett aka Robbie Ice you know what you f*cking piece of garbage...you can stick this piece of tin right up your ass! You are a joke....always have been always will be...you want to talk TRADITION ....you don't know a f*cking thing about that word and how dare you use it...you are a disgrace to the FLW... I am going to do you a favor Bennett I will tell you what TRADITION is...it's Heartland Championship Wrestling...Its Oldschool...its Warfare...you stupid son of a bitch! The honeymoon with you using their talent is over...the honeymoon using Steve Corino is over....SOCAL VAL was right to take everything from you and this company...and you have not been the same since....all you have been is a worthless piece of sh*t! No more champions Bennett I am going to Heartland and if you are lucky I am taking this belt with me..I am going to present it to Dayton Dave and let him do as he see's fit with it......your Tag Champion Eddie Edwards left you high and dry with leaving that equally worthless piece of garbage John Cena....no champions Cool Robbie Ice. Good luck with all your future endeavors BITCH!DAWN OF DESTINY LADDER MATCH: QUALIFYING MATCH STEVE CORINO**** pinned AL SNOW***These two maniacs were all over Chula Vista! Snow started the match quickly, pounding on Corino with his fists and his own head before dropping him with a brutal Snowplex. Corino rolled to the floor, but Al loaded up Head and slugged Corino repeatedly. Corino was backpedalling, but found a chair of his own and delivered a skull crushing shot to Snow's noggin. The momentum turned to Corino, and when the battle came back into the ring, he caught Snow coming off the ropes and flattened him with a running spear to earn the three-count. Daytondave: We haven't seen Corino in a Heartland ring for quite some time- but the former Tradition champion made an impressive return! Even the barrage of Head shots couldn't put Corino down. Dude showed some great resourcefulness when he made that comeback. That's just the kind of man it takes to win a Ladder Match- and Corino is your first entrance for the big battle at Dawn of Destiny! All right- fans- Heartland has signed some terrific new talent- and probably the most exciting acquisition is up next. One of the legendary tag teams in wrestling history- EDGE & CHRISTIAN!EDGE & CHRISTIAN defeated BRENT ALBRIGHT & ADAM PEARCE****** by countoutThe newcomers from Canada made a personal whipping boy out of Adam Pearce from the opening bell. Albright was never able to tag in as Pearce was pounded from pillar to post, first by Edge, then by Christian, and so on, and so forth. To his credit, Pearce kicked out after Edge planted him with a Spear, but when they hit him with the Con-Chair-To, Pearce had had enough and he high-tailed it back to the locker room. Albright followed Pearce, but could not convince him to finish the match as Edge and Christian waved at Pearce and posed for the benefit of those with flash photography. Daytondave: That's gotta be embarassing for Adam Pearce! Dude is one of the toughest guys around, but tonight Edge & Christian just toyed with him. Okay, fans- as promised, we're going to take a few moments to talk with CHRISTY HEMME, who met this past weekend the the Heartland's newest benefactor, the so-called 'Man of Influence'. CHRISTY HEMME joins DAYTONDAVE at the announcers’ table. She has a coy smile and a faraway look in her eyes as she takes her seat.Daytondave: Welcome, Christy! We’re all excited about the new investor in Heartland Championship Wrestling. Give us a full report! Christy: He’s… gorgeous! Daytondave: Really? That’s… interesting… what else can you tell us about him? Christy: He’s… dreamy! Daytondave: Okay… what is his interest in Heartland Wrestling? Christy: He said he is very well-connected to the wrestling business. Daytondave: Now we’re getting somewhere. What’s the connection? Christy: He didn’t say. Daytondave: Okay… so… what happens next? Christy: He’s coming to Dawn of Destiny 2012! Daytondave: That’s great news! Maybe we will learn more about this mysterious “Man of Influence” on March 31. Christy: I can’t wait to see him again! Daytondave: Yeah… I figured. All right, fans- let’s get back to action! DAWN OF DESTINY LADDER MATCH: QUALIFYING MATCH 2 COLD SCORPIO* pinned CHRIS JERICHO*In a match highlighted by all-out aggression, Scorpio and Jericho went for broke! Scorpio used his quickness to gain the early advantage and nearly pinned Jericho after a Scorpiosault. With Jericho in trouble, Scorpio went to the top rope, but Jericho recovered and knocked Scorpio off the turnbuckle with a springboard dropkick off the middle rope! Jericho saw the opportunity and went to the top rope himself, but Scorpio dodged his attempted Missile Dropkick and Jericho hit the mat hard. Scorpio returned to the top rope, and delivered an amazing Scorpio Splash! This time, he connected solidly, and put Jericho down for the three-count. Daytondave: That was a terrific match! Scorpio has shown us many times what a great athlete he is- and now he is headed to Dawn of Destiny! With his skills, he will make an impact in the Ladder Match. Two men have now qualified, and already the contrast is striking- the gritty, aggressive brutality of Corino, who will stop at nothing to succeed- and the high-flying mayhem of Scorpio. We’ll add four more superstars to the mix over the next couple of weeks, but already the Ladder Match at Dawn of Destiny is shaping up to be incredible! All right, fans- it is now time for our Main Event- for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP NIGEL McGUINESS defeated AJ STYLES******* (c) by submissionIn a masterful performance, Nigel McGuiness dominated the Heartland Heavyweight Champion and captured the top prize in the Heartland! Nigel kept the match at a slow, deliberate pace from the outset, refusing to let Styles get airborne. He worked the turnbuckles with expertise, nailing several kicks and dropping AJ hard with the Tower of London. With AJ on the canvas, Nigel went to work with the London Dungeon, repeatedly wrenching the champion’s arm and shoulder. AJ fought off the pain and managed to get back to his feet, but Nigel continued his assault with grinding forearms and working AJ’s injured shoulder with the cross-armbreaker. When AJ was nearly spent, Nigel went back to the London Dungeon. Despite a protracted battle from Styles, the pain became too intense, and he was finally forced to tap out.
