2126 VIDTEK REPORT
Vidtek has kept tabs on all the happenings from the time of the final card of 2125 to the annual press conference before the Perennial at the start of 2126...
The very next day after CHAMPIONSHIP CRISIS 2125 GWF.com broke the news that Monolith is ready to return and will be at the DEIMOS PERENNIAL 2126.
After the announcement of Monolith's return all attempts by the GWF Board of Director's to contact Sly Drury have gone unanswered. This also comes at the time when it's been rumored that the Board has been putting together more evidence about Sly Drury's illegal activities as well as Hector claiming that he has more evidence. Not even his own Martial Law team or Rogue's Gallery members can account for his whereabouts. All except for Patch, though he says he would never tell another being.
Sly Drury's absence left the Board to take action at the 2126 Press Conference over the GWF Commissioner position. An unprecedented decision was made that will see the position rotate between 6 current GWF wrestlers. Each wrestler will have one month's turn as GWF Commissioner and then the position will move on to the next wrestler. The wrestlers are, in the order they will take over the role, Aethran Overmaster, Psi, Hector, Endgame, Paganax, and Shoot.
AOM has been busy since Sly Drury took off and found out that Monolith is returning. He brings in a body guard named the Leveler and looks for him to be his backup when AOM and Monolith face off.
Back at EXILE 2125, Paganax and Shann-Ra were exiled until TITANMANIA 31 in 2126. Aethran Overmaster and Endgame have come to an agreement to bring both back effective at the DEIMOS PERENNIAL. AOM wanted Paganax back sooner than TitanMania and offered to allow Shann-Ra back for Endgame's side. It's said that Endgame went along with the deal because of his loyalty to friend Tauran, who dates Shann-Ra and was worried about her condition after joining Coven Black following Black biting her on the neck. Coven Black had no use for her after she was exiled though and the news is that her family and Tauran sought out treatment for her. It's now been four months of treatments and Tauran has sent word that she's finally 100% recovered and back to her old self.
After Shoot, of Covert Operations and the Ultimate Fighters tag team, was selected as one of rotating commissioners, news leaked in the media that gave fans some more insight into not only Shoot's, but also Clinch's past mistakes. Shoot apparently has had problems with the law due to bar fights and altercations with police. Clinch was using illegal drugs as a MMA fighter while in the Trifid Nebula Fight Club. Clinch says he's not an angel but came to the GWF to start over. Even with the news, the Board stated that their decision would stand and Shoot would still be allowed to be one of the rotating commissioners. GWF fans have really gotten behind the tag team after the leak. The team and GWF.com have received tons of mail from fans showing their support for the duo.
At the 2126 Press Conference, Dialectas and Abroz announced a different format for their Infinity Challenge. The two created teams of wrestlers and then drafted the teams at the Press Conference. Five individuals, however, refused to be a part of the Infinity Challenge. American Guy, Tanck, Gryt, Rotunda, and Malkuth have joined together and are now going by the team name of the Outsiders. The Board said they wouldn't force the five to be a part of the IC but if they didn't then their pay would be cut. The Outsiders took the salary cut and now have been targeted by both Dialectas and Abroz. The two have come together and have paid Avarice and the Shadowclan an undisclosed amount of money to be their hitmen and help take care of the Outsiders. With the Martial Law team now non-existent due to Drury's leaving, Avarice and Shadowclan have new business in 2126. As for the new teams, they are as follows:
Abroz (who picked first since Dialectas picked first in last year's draft)
FDF CHALLENGE - Ensor, US Male, Pendragon, & Shann-Ra
&
TITANS - Tristan, The Betrayer, Mother Superior, & the debuting Overtime.
Dialectas
POWER CORE - Thraxx, Zygon, Nitro, & Deadliest
&
DARK CARNIVAL - Tricks, Oracle, Vidtek, & Phantasy
Speaking of Avarice and Shadowclan, the other members of the Martial Law team have moved on as well. Valour was given bad news after CHAMPIONSHIP CRISIS after a trip to the doctor for numbness in his hands and arms. The doctor said there is a high chance that Valour could become paralyzed or even die if he continued to take bumps inside the squared circle. Valour announced his retirement at the 2126 Press Conference with a promo that cursed this Realm and the fact that his physical body can be damaged in the 4th Realm. When asked what he will do now, Valour stated that he will find a way back to the 2nd Realm and get out of our miserable one. Patch, on the other hand, has joined AOM's new team, Council of War. Patch was reluctant at first, but then AOM offered him a GWF Championship Match against Havoc at the Deimos Perennial. With the extra perk added to the contract, Patch then signed on the line. With Paganax now able to return early, AOM has gave him the position of leader of the Council of War team. AOm also brought in another wrestler from Centra for the team, Tharkas. It's also rumored that AOM has a secret deal with Omen.
AOM, continued his power plays, by next telling Havoc he had an offer for him. Havoc, who says he was just curious, agreed to meet with AOM. As the two met up, Havoc was attacked from behind by Patch with a lead pipe. AOM and Patch left Havoc helpless as Patch kept saying that he would take the GWF title from Havoc at the Perennial.
Valour's retirement is not the only one in 2126 either. While it was widely speculated that Bloodline would call 2125 his last year as a wrestler, he made his retirement official after CHAMPIONSHIP CRISIS.
Also, Encubus shocked the wrestling world when he announced that he would retire with Bloodline. Unhappy upon hearing news from the GWF Board that he would have to become a part of the Infinity Challange, Encubus has decided to retire. He also admitted to the fact that Mother Superior told him that she was not their real mother. She has apologized to both of them and asked for forgiveness from the two as well as the GWF fans. She looks to right some wrongs in 2126 deciding to stay in the GWF and join up with the Titans to help them in the Infinity Challenge.
With Hector's team now short, he brings in a newcomer posing as Star Warrior. Hector has also brought Bishop Hell to his team, but trouble may already be brewing in this camp. Bishop Hell wants nothing to do with Star Warrior as the original Star Warrior was one of the original Bishop Hell's enemies. While Bishop Hell has took on the Bishop Hell persona because of his participation in a cult that worships the former wrestler, Star Warrior and Thantos fill their characters out of mockery and have a lack of respect for the originals. In fact, their new saying is "Better than the originals". Together as a team they take on the name of the GameMasters. With Bloodline now gone, the team of the New GameMasters , Bloodline and Thantos, are forced to vacate the GWF Tag Team Championships. It was announced that an 8 Team Tournament will be held at the Perennial to crown new champions.
While we're on Hector, the leader of the Legends team faces a new challenge from newcomer Psi. Psi comes to the GWF from Omicron. It's been some time since Omicron has been represented in the GWF and Psi brings with him the ability of mental energy. Psi has been assigned by Endgame to a team with Swarm, Payback, and Mantis. That's right, Swarm and Mantis have made up. Swarm told Mantis that he could get him a spot on the FDF Reserve team and apologized for holding Mantis back because he felt that Mantis wasn't ready to face certain wrestlers last year. Mantis hugged his father and whispered "Thank you, dad" into Swarm's ears. However, Swarm holds back some animosity toward Endgame as Swarm wasn't asked to lead the FDF Reserves, especially after doing Endgame the favor of joining the FDF last year while Tauran was in exile. Perhaps, the only reason Swarm doesn't confront Endgame is because of his son's happiness in joining the team and Swarm doesn't want to risk Endgame kicking them off the team.
In sad news, we unfortunately had to announce the passing of GWF co-founder, the legendary Omega. Star Warrior's name comes up again here because of comments he has made when asked about the legend. Star Warrior replied with “Was he still alive? I didn’t know. Man, that’s ancient history. The future is now and the future is me.” Star Warrior has become one of the most hated men in the GWF overnight with his comment and this is all before he even wrestles his first match.
Newcomers Helsin and Scorn join the GWF and they have targeted Coven Black and his new female companion, Mistress of Darkness. Mistress and Helsin were once an item until Coven Black came into the picture and "turned" her. Mistress then took off with Black and now Helsin is out for revenge and to help his former lover.
That does it for this year's Vidtek Report. Up next is the Deimos Perennial. Welcome to 2126!
