GWF Card #1 09.20.2074 from Deimos Interplanetary Sports Arena
- In-Ring Interview: Omega & Morpheus - Omega and Morpheus kicked off the inaugural GWF card by welcoming the fans and thanking them for coming out for "an evening of hard-hitting action and competition." Omega announced that the winners of the night's matches would automatically be entered into the GWF Championship Tournament to be held in October, while Morpheus added that he and Omega would personally select the competitors who would round out the brackets.
After that, Morpheus waved to the fans and made his way to the back, while Epic and Syphon--The Future--came out for the opening match against Omega. The Callisto colonist told them to flip a coin to determine which of them would face him in the ring. The two genetically-enhanced super soldiers immediately protested, but Omega stood firm. After more complaining and muttering, the official produced a coin, and Syphon won the toss--and the right to showcase his talents.
Omega vs. Syphon Omega defeated Syphon with a pinfall at 6:54 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Despite interference from Epic, Omega managed to defeat Syphon in the first-ever GWF match. Omega had just clotheslined Epic out of the ring and climbed to the top rope for some high-flying action. Syphon, who had caught his breath while Omega tussled with his partner, raced up the ropes to intercept him. The pair exchanged blows, with Omega coming out on top and knocking Syphon to the mat. Omega took flight and nailed his dazed opponent with an incredible TOMAHAWK THRUST from the top rope, leaving him easy prey for the pinfall.
Recluse & Screw vs. The Crosscurrents This match ended in a draw (time limit draw) at 20:00 Match Rating: 1.25 Match Notes: Thetis and Screw started the match for their respective teams, but the tags came quickly on both sides. The Crosscurrents were absolutely dominated at every turn, but managed to hang on through sheer determination to earn a draw. After the match, the crowd gave the underdog team a rousing ovation in appreciation for their heart and stamina.
Rücken vs. Blood Blood defeated Rücken with a submission at 7:56 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This match was a brawl from the opening bell, and Blood utterly dominated his Austrian opponent. By the time the match was over, the pair had spent more time on the floor than in the ring, and Rücken was bleeding badly from a gash on his forehead. Blood's victory with his SCAR TISSUE was academic.
K.O. Keller vs. Flare K.O. Keller defeated Flare with a knockout at 6:27 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Although the competitors shook hands to start the match, as soon as the bell rang, they put friendship aside and went after one another fiercely. Ironically enough, Flare seemed interested in exchanging fisticuffs, while Keller seemed to focus on takedowns and some aerial offense. After each failed to beat the other at his own game, they settled into a more natural rhythm, and Keller soon took the advantage. He hit his illegal closed fist to knock Flare down, but the Titan staggered to his feet at four. Keller met him with a second TEN COUNT which split his forehead open and sent him to the canvas, but Flare managed to pull himself up at seven. He turned around and took a third and final TEN COUNT between the eyes, sending him down and out.
The Blackhearts vs. The Special Forces Commander Sam defeated Blacklash with a pinfall at 14:46 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: The match started out poorly for the Special Forces, with Blacklash stunning The Interceptor early after a heart punch and a tombstone piledriver. He and Bullwhip cut the ring in half and tagged frequently, keeping the masked American staggered and in deep trouble. After a poorly timed whip into the ropes, The Interceptor managed to rock Blacklash with a Hot Shot, then make the hot tag to Commander Sam. Sam took the fight to both Blackhearts, blasting Bullwhip with a piledriver outside the ring to take him out of the action, and bloodying Blacklash with fists, kicks, and the occasional head into the timekeeper's table. Bloodied and dazed, Blacklash fell prey to a PEACEMAKER lariat, allowing Sam to score the pinfall.
Morpheus vs. Moonstrike This match ended in a draw (double DQ) at 2:52 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: While the match started off hot and showed some real potential, the fans would ultimately be disappointed. After a heated exchange, Moonstrike whipped Morpheus into the corner and charged in...but Morpheus grabbed the official by the belt and pulled him into the line of fire. The smaller man was crushed between the two grapplers and fell to the mat. Dazed, but not out, the referee called for the bell and threw the match out. Moonstrike followed the woozy official all the way to the back, pleading his case, while Morpheus scowled in the ring.
Torin Caelum vs. Jammer This match ended in a draw (time limit draw) at 20:00 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: The GWF's first main event, intended to prove whose version of the cobra clutch was superior, ended in a draw after providing twenty solid minutes of action that left the fans rabid and wanting more. While the match began with a handshake, by the end, both men were bloody, worn down, and still finding the reserve to take each other's best shots and kick out. Each man had the other trapped in the cobra clutch at some point, but Jammer was able to reach the ropes to break the CAELUM GRIP, while a sweaty (and bloody) Torin Caelum was able to slither out of the BAD NIGHT. When the time limit expired, the two competitors nearly collapsed in exhaustion, staying on their feet only with each other's help. When all was said and done, Caelum and Jammer raised each others' hands in victory while the crowd roared their approval.

GWF Card #2 10.16.2074 from Deimos Interplanetary Sports Arena
- Highlight Package: Rücken - Prior to the opening match, the crowd was treated to a video package introducing them to Rücken, descended from Austrian roylaty. Segments of his training matches (which displayed a definite vicious streak and a willingness to break the rules) were interspersed with Rücken's claims that he was in the GWF to engage in fair play and sportsmanship, and acquit himself with honor.
Commander Sam vs. Jammer Commander Sam defeated Jammer with a pinfall at 5:52 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: The competitors shook hands to kick off the GWF Championship Tournament, and treated the crowd to a display of classical chain- and counter-wrestling (mixed with a healthy amount of good old fashioned brawling). Jammer seemed to be a step off his game, perhaps showing the lingering effects of his epic match with Torin Caelum a few weeks earlier. After dazing him with an atomic drop, Sam leveled Jammer with his PEACEMAKER lariat and secured the pinfall.
Blood vs. Morpheus Blood defeated Morpheus with a submission at 19:35 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Morpheus came out strong, and manhandled Blood badly in the opening moments of the match. Within minutes, he had the Ultimate Fighter in trouble and planted him with a TRIP TO HADES, but only secured a two-count. Morpheus stepped up the violence and scored several more near-falls, but Blood managed to absorb the punishment and keep himself alive. After Morpheus missed a big move from the top rope, Blood turned the tide and went on the offense himself, working over Morpheus' knee and keeping him off his feet. With less than a minute left in the match, Blood clamped on his SCAR TISSUE. Morpheus fought to hold on...but once the blood started flowing, the pain became unbearable and Morpheus had to submit.
Vortex vs. K.O. Keller K.O. Keller defeated Vortex with a knockout at 3:44 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Vortex was simply no match for Keller, who beat him from pillar to post and scored an easy win via TEN COUNT knockout.
Torin Caelum vs. Bullwhip Bullwhip defeated Torin Caelum with a pinfall at 10:34 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Bullwhip and Torin Caelum put on an incredible display--each man hit move after move, but neither could put his opponent away. After nearly ten minutes of back-and-forth action, Caelum hit a flying head scissors that sent Bullwhip spilling out of the ring. The referee asserted himself, grabbing Caelum and preventing him from following, but this allowed Bullwhip to stun him with a suckerpunch. Another HIGH NOON (Caelum had already kicked out after the move twice) gave Bullwhip the hard-fought victory.
Recluse vs. Screw Recluse defeated Screw with a forfeit at 0:00 Match Notes: Recluse and Screw made their way to the ring together prior to their match, though the bigger man was lagging behind, sullen and despondent. Recluse grabbed the microphone from the ring announcer and informed the crowd that Screw was forfeiting the match. When the official questioned Screw, the behemoth balled up his fists and seemed to grow agitated...but in the end, he turned his back and left the ring. The referee took that as Screw's assent, ordered the timekeeper to ring the bell, and raised Recluse's hand.
Omega vs. Rücken Omega defeated Rücken with a pinfall at 3:42 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: The "sportsman" Rücken offered a handshake to begin the match, and when Omega took his hand, he received a slap in the face for his trouble! This incensed the GWF founder, who went on the attack and refused to let up until he had hit his WAR DANCE knee lift for the easy victory.
Moonstrike vs. The Interceptor Moonstrike defeated The Interceptor with a pinfall at 3:15 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: After a momentary flurry of offense by The Interceptor, Moonstrike was able to use his high-flying offense to keep the masked man off his game, cruising to a pinfall victory after his PALADIN DROP.
Thetis vs. Blacklash Thetis defeated Blacklash with a DQ at 11:21 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Thetis stunned Blacklash with a spinning heel kick as soon as the bell rang, but he proved unable to sustain his offense. Blacklash turned the tables and worked him over brutally, but Thetis continued to show incredible heart, even kicking out after a SUNDOWN moonsault! As the match went on and he proved unable to put his opponent away, Blacklash grew frustrated and began taking liberties with the rules. Even this backfired, as Thetis reversed a whip into the ringpost while both men were on the floor, and Blacklash hit face-first against the steel! Thetis slipped into the ring and climbed to the top rope, intending to put Blacklash away, but the wily Texan nailed him with a steel chair as Thetis flew through the air. Having warned Blacklash previously about his rulebreaking, the official had no choice and called for the bell, sending Thetis into the next round.
- GWF Championship Quarterfinal - Commander Sam vs. Blood Blood defeated Commander Sam with a submission at 6:52 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: While the match started out with a handshake, it degenerated into a brawl almost immediately once the bell sounded. The rookie Commander Sam held his own for a bit, but Blood's experience in underground fighting proved to be too much, as he began to dominate the young American and finally secured a berth in the Semi-Finals with his SCAR TISSUE.
- GWF Championship Quarterfinal - K.O. Keller vs. Bullwhip Bullwhip defeated K.O. Keller with a pinfall at 6:56 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Once the Quarterfinals were set, it seemed likely this might be the match of the night, and it did not disappoint. Bullwhip and Keller tore into one another right from the opening bell; Bullwhip seemed to have the edge with his brutal offense, but Keller's stamina and counter wrestling kept him in the match, even after absorbing the HIGH NOON twice. As Bullwhip began to tire, Keller turned the tables and began to dominate the match despite bleeding badly from just above his left eye. Just as it seemed things were going to go his way, Keller's impaired vision led to him telegraphing a back body drop off the ropes. Bullwhip caught him with a swinging neckbreaker out of nowhere, stunning the man and leading to a pinfall victory.
- GWF Championship Quarterfinal - Omega vs. Recluse Omega defeated Recluse with a pinfall at 1:44 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: Recluse went on the attack from the opening bell, and it seemed that his easy path to the Quarterfinals was going to pay dividends. Almost immediately, however, his lack of preparation became evident. Omega reversed an Irish whip into the ropes and hit his WAR DANCE for a two-count, then immediately followed up with a TOMAHAWK THRUST for three.
- GWF Championship Quarterfinal - Moonstrike vs. Thetis Moonstrike defeated Thetis with a pinfall at 5:16 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Thetis clearly went into this match suffering the effects of Blacklash's chair shot earlier in the evening. His hastily-bandaged wound opened up almost immediately, restricting his vision and weakening him badly. He continued to show incredible heart and even managed to reach the ropes to avoid a pinfall after Moonstrike's PALADIN DROP. A second elbow proved to be too much, however, and the match mercifully ended in the Titan's favor.
- GWF Championship Semi-Final - Blood vs. Bullwhip Bullwhip defeated Blood with a pinfall at 25:12 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This match was nothing short of an epic battle, as Blood and Bullwhip tore into one another, looking for any nagging injury to exploit en route to victory. Neither man was afraid to take the battle to the floor, and they traded chair shots as often as holds in the first ten minutes. They traded near-falls on several occasions, and each man was bruised, bloodied, and weary as they passed twenty minutes. With every blow taking as much out of the attacker as the target, Bullwhip sensed the need to change his strategy: he raked Blood's eyes to buy himself some time, then dragged himself up to the top rope. As the Ultimate Fighter turned around, Bullwhip launched himself from the top turnbuckle and nailed a clumsy--but effective--cross body block, taking Blood down for the three-count.
- GWF Championship Semi-Final - Moonstrike vs. Omega Omega defeated Moonstrike with a pinfall at 4:17 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: After shaking hands to start the match, Omega and Moonstrike treated the fans to a breathtaking display of athleticism, high-flying offense, and counter-wrestling. Neither man sought an unfair advantage, and every rope break was clean and acknowledged with a nod of gratitude. Nevertheless, for every move Moonstrike hit, Omega countered with two. It took very little time for the Paladin to get worn down, and while he was able to kick out after a WAR DANCE, Omega's TOMAHAWK THRUST proved to be too much.
- In-Ring Interview: Morpheus - While Bullwhip and Omega prepared for the final match of the GWF Championship Tournament, Morpheus came out to address the fans. While he was clearly irritated by his poor showing, Morpheus focused on the next show, where they would crown the inaugural GWF Tag Team Champions, and where the first man to challenge either Omega or Bullwhip for the GWF Title would be determined.
- Tournament Finals - Bullwhip vs. Omega for the GWF Heavyweight Championship Bullwhip defeated Omega with a pinfall at 8:48 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Omega offered a handshake to start the final match of the GWF Championship Tournament, but Bullwhip responded by spitting in his face! Insulted and outraged, Omega attacked immediately. Despite a strong showing in the first few minutes, Omega began to struggle against Bullwhip's raw toughness and power advantage. The match nearly came to an abrupt halt when Bullwhip fled the ring and, despite the referee's protests, began to pound Omega with a steel chair. The referee grabbed the chair away from the burly Texan and was shoved down for his efforts: only a quick apology from a kneeling Bullwhip prevented the official from calling for a DQ. Nonetheless, the illegal offense took its toll on Omega, who managed to kick out after the HIGH NOON twice. A tombstone piledriver stunned him, however, and a third HIGH NOON ended the match, giving Bullwhip the victory--and the GWF Heavyweight Title.
Bullwhip won the GWF Heavyweight Championship
- Post-Match Interview: Bullwhip - After the match was over, the referee handed the GWF Heavyweight Championship belt to Bullwhip, who cheered loudly and hugged his partner, Blacklash, once he made his way into the ring. Omega, bloodied and beaten, pulled himself up to his feet and offered another handshake to the new champ. Bullwhip eyed Omega, then his outstretched hand, then hefted his newly-won belt and drilled Omega between the eyes with it! When the referee reprimanded Bullwhip, Blacklash grabbed him by the striped shirt and tossed him over the top rope to the arena floor! Grabbing the house microphone from the timekeeper, Blacklash gloated. "I knew it! I told you! We run this show! We are taking over! Yee-hah!"

GWF Card #3 11.15.2074 from Deimos Interplanetary Sports Arena
- Video Package: The Blackhearts - A video package highlighting the rough, brutal style of Blacklash and Bullwhip. Clips of a tag team match showed the duo utterly dominating a pair of trainers, featuring Blacklash's SUNDOWN moonsault, Bullwhip's HIGH NOON gorilla slam, and the RUSTLER'S STAMPEDE--a double snap-mare followed by a pair of running kicks to the opponent's face. In a voice-over, Blacklash boasted, "We're gonna take over this here GWF, you get that? We're taking over. Omega, Morpheus, y'all got NO idea what you asked for when you opened this place up to the two of us!" The truth of Blacklash's words was underscored with the clip of Bullwhip pinning Omega to win the GWF Title.
The Blackhearts vs. Recluse & Screw This match ended in a draw (no contest) Match Notes: Recluse and Screw made their way out to the ring first, then the Blackhearts made their appearance, with Bullwhip wearing his newly-won championship belt. Before the official could call for the bell, Morpheus' voice boomed from the loudspeaker. Walking halfway down the aisle, he informed the wrestlers--and the crowd--that he and Omega had discussed the situation, and determined that no wrestler could hold more than one title. Thus, there would be no tag team match for Bullwhip--and no tag team titles for the Blackhearts.
Bullwhip snatched the house microphone away from the timekeeper and informed Morpheus that he had no plans to wrestle--in fact, he accused Morpheus of hoping he got injured and had to forfeit the GWF Title. He turned the microphone over to Blacklash, who told Morpheus that no one had any idea what he meant when he said he and Bullwhip were taking over--but the first lesson came now!
At that moment, two men rushed down the aisle and assaulted Morpheus from behind. One was an enormous, bald behemoth who stomped the GWF founder mercilessly; the other was a scarred, greasy-haired brawler who egged his huge companion on, and finished Morpheus off with a kick square to the face. Fans of the outlaw fight scene recognized them as Brutus and Scar--The Hooligans!
Recluse & Screw vs. The Hooligans Scar defeated Screw with a disqualification at 13:19 Match Rating: 0.75 Match Notes: The Hooligans slid into the ring and demanded a place in the match, promising violence if the official didn't ring the bell immediately. The nervous referee looked to Morpheus for guidance, and received a grim (and slightly groggy) nod of assent. The resulting match was ugly--a vicious brawl which made up for its lack of scientific grappling with raw violence. While both teams took liberties with the rules, Screw went a bit too far when he smashed Scar with a steel chair. With Recluse screaming in outrage at his partner, the official declared the Hooligans the winners.
Morpheus & Torin Caelum vs. The Ultimate Fighters Blood defeated Morpheus with a countout at 15:06 Match Rating: 1.75 Match Notes: Perhaps foolishly, Morpheus insisted on starting this match, despite the hastily-bandaged gash in his forehead. It didn't take long before Jammer and Blood focused on the injury, and Morpheus was bleeding heavily. The GWF founder endured head butts, bites to the wound, and even the SCAR TISSUE, but he refused to give in. Every time he appeared down for the count, he found the tenacity to reach the ropes. His fatal error came when he had just escaped from the SCAR TISSUE and sought refuge on the floor. Blood followed him out, clubbed him from behind, then picked him up for a savage piledriver onto the arena floor. The official counted Morpheus out as he lay motionless in a widening pool of his own blood, then he joined Jammer and Torin Caelum in helping the man to the back while Blood celebrated the win.
The Special Forces vs. The Future Syphon defeated The Interceptor with a disqualification at 6:32 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: After Morpheus' phenomenal showing, this match was an utter disappointment. Epic and Syphon began the contest by whining about being forced to compete in a tournament, when they should be handed the GWF Tag Team Titles on a silver platter. There was little in the way of technique in the match itself--Sam and The Interceptor would brawl, Epic and Syphon would cheat to regain the advantage. In the end, the cheating went too far, and The Interceptor's hot temper got the better of him. He threw the referee aside to go after Syphon while he was on the floor, and the official called for an end to the lackluster match.
The Crosscurrents vs. Flare & Rucken Rücken defeated Vortex with a pinfall at 3:25 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Another disappointing match saw the unlikely team of Rücken and Flare advance in the tournament when Vortex attempted a cross body block from the top rope, only to have Rücken roll through and grab a handfull of tights to steal the win. After the match, Flare was clearly upset with his partner, and the two of them bickered all the way to the back.
- Video Package: The Paladins - The latest in the GWF's introductory videos focused on Moonstrike and Flare, from their time in the Titan Reserve Army during the Skaarj War to their current involvement with the GWF. Clips of the two men sparring with training partners--and against each other--showcased their high-impact, high-flying offense: a flying knee and standing moonsault by Flare, a hurricanrana by Moonstrike, and their signature moves: Flare's PALADIN MISSILE (a swan dive head butt) and the flying elbow Moonstrike calls the PALADIN DROP.
- Tag Team Championship Semi-Final - The Hooligans vs. The Ultimate Fighters Brutus defeated Blood with a pinfall at 7:56 Match Rating: 0.75 Match Notes: This match started to heat the fans back up, with each team ripping into the other with the savagery typical of the underground fights where they first locked up. The end nearly came when Brutus leveled Blood with his FRONTAL ASSAULT, but Jammer was able to make the save. While the official ejected Jammer from the ring, Brutus propelled himself off the ropes and Scar helped elevate him up, then drop him onto the prone Blood. The referee could have counted to ten, but three was sufficient to give The Hooligans the win.
- Tag Team Championship Semi-Final - Flare & Rucken vs. The Future Rücken defeated Syphon with a pinfall at 10:19 Match Rating: 0.75 Match Notes: Prior to their match, Flare demanded an accounting from Rücken for his illegal tactics in their previous match. Rücken apologized, claiming that his competitive nature got the better of him, but he was an honorable man and promised it would not happen again. This seemed to placate Flare, as the two men showed signs of teamwork in taking on The Future. At one point, Rücken had Syphon pinned and Flare raced across the ring to intercept Epic. While his partner's back was turned, Rücken delivered a horrific low blow to Syphon, then planted him with an unnecessary ROYAL DECREE to score the pinfall.
K.O. Keller vs. Moonstrike K.O. Keller defeated Moonstrike with a disqualification at 9:43 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Once again, two great athletes showed their respect for each other by shaking hands before the match, then pulling out all stops in the quest for victory. The match started out good, with Keller's fierce offense grounding Moonstrike, but the Titan's agility and maneuverability allowed him to keep Keller dazzled with hit-and-run tactics. Just as it seemed a good match might become a great match, Moonstrike got tossed to the floor and instinctively snatched up a chair, slamming it into Keller's head. Moonstrike was clearly mortified, and as the referee called for the bell, the Titan dropped the weapon and checked on his staggered opponent. Moonstrike himself helped Keller make his way to the back, apologizing the entire way.
- Tournament Finals - The Hooligans vs. Flare & Rucken for the GWF Tag Team Championship Brutus defeated Flare with a pinfall at 18:00 Match Rating: 1.75 Match Notes: Rücken and Flare definitely seemed to be on the same page to start this match, as they kept The Hooligans off-balance with crisp tags and fluid teamwork. Shortly after clotheslining Scar over the top rope, Rücken displayed amazing power in taking the 400+ pound Brutus over with a hip toss. This clearly took something out of the man, as he tagged out to Flare and immediately dropped to the floor. Unfortunately, he wasn't there when Flare needed to tag out, and this allowed The Hooligans to take the advantage. They pummelled the Titan mercilessly for several minutes, bloodying him with a double-team whip into the ringpost. Flare never recovered after that, and without Rücken to make the save, The Hooligans cruised to victory--and the titles. Brutus finally scored the pinfall after his partner leveled Flare from behind with his BLINDSIDE lariat.
The Hooligans won the GWF Tag Team Championship
Overall Card Rating: 0.84
