Pro Wrestling Investigated Special Report:Roster Movement News & Rumors- The lead story is the apparent reconciliation of the UCW top brass and Matador. Perhaps driven by the overpowering showing by Ultimate Force at King of Galaxy, Guile and Carter have apparently made a good enough offer to Matador to keep him in the UCW fold for another 6 months. Expect to see him return on the next UCW card. - In other UCW news, the horribly failed Lord Nexus experiment is over. Sources from Titan have confirmed that Nexus has left the company and Billy Jo Boxer has signed to return. Question now is whether or not he will reform his team with DragonMaster, or possibly be aligned with the also signed Quasar. Cannibal, The Creeper and Laughing Death (Mad Jester & Death Masque) were also let go. Rumors are rampant that Laughing Death will be replaced by a "surprise" team on the next card. Insiders wouldn't say who, but said that if their information was right, it would shock everyone. - The GWF championship committee has been less forthcoming with leaks, but it has been confirmed that Spike and Dreadnaught have been released. Guess they don't seem to need too many more villains now that Ultimate Force is turning into the main athletic (and, perhaps more importantly, merchandising) power. Rumors also circulate that the Young Allies are no more, but nothing confirmed as of yet. - Perhaps most interestingly, Morpheus has made small noises about expanding the SSF "partnership". Apparently, Exo-King is not only a storyline power broker, but actually has the bosses ear and has suggested some wrestlers that he feels would fit into the SSF family. The on-screen character of Exo-King is also thought to be in need of an overhaul, as the hardcore fans have soured on the "King of SSF" character. Less than flattering parodies of his mannerisms and promos have been popping up all over the underground holonets. Really sad to see Lord Nexus and Dreadnaught go. I laughed at the 'less than flattering paradies' line! Great storytelling touch there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UCW Supercard January 9th, 2093
Before the event started, Commissioner Carter came to the ring to address the fans. He said that the annual Slammaster's event will bring an old UCW tradition to the next level: A Tri-Challenge Tournament, featuring 9 of the best that UCW (and perhaps the rest of the wrestling universe) has to offer. The winner will be given an opportunity for the Universal Title match, a Universal Tag Title match (with a partner of his choosing) or, as Carter said cryptically "Any other title that UCW may happen to recognize at the time." Carter promised many surprises tonight, including in the opening match as Bounty Hunter came to the ring....
Mutant vs Bounty Hunter
The popular former GWF competitor Bounty Hunter shook the "hand" of Mutant before the match, and acted as a sportsman early in the match. It was a surprisingly competitive match, and Bounty Hunter was clearly getting frustrated. After the referee was injured in a collision, Bounty Hunter went to get a whip, but threw it to Mutant as the referee was coming to. The referee saw Mutant with the whip and disqualified him, as Bounty Hunter laughed! The fans were surprised by such behavior and booed Bounty Hunter out of the ring.
Result: Bounty Hunter defeated Mutant by Disqualification
Before the next match, the Norse Gods came to the ring with Chopper Mattock. Lightening took the microphone:
"That beast Cannibal betrayed us and ran away. We 'promise' you you will never see him again." Lightening laughed. "In all seriousness, we fooled so many of you so badly, Man Mountain and I have decided to call ourselves the 'Masters of Illusion'. And for our next trick, I want to introduce our newest Nightmare Man, and Chopper Mattock's partner to destroy the New 'Zeros': COUNT NECROS!"
Count Necros came to the ring as the Masters of Illusion and Chopper Mattock laugh at the crowd.
New Heroes vs Nightmare Men
Chopper and Necros worked surprising well as a team, with the Nightmare Men keeping Pulsar Prime in the ring. Necros finished Pulsar off with the Phantom Dust. After the match, the Masters and The Nightmare Men attempted to put Pulsar out, but Galactic Punisher grabbed a pair of pipes and he and Pulsar fended them off. The New Heroes may have taken things too far, as they attacked Necros after the others had escaped, and destroyed him with their respective finishers, leading to Necros having to be stretchered out!
Result: Nightmare Men defeated The New Heroes when Count Necros defeated Pulsar Prime with the Phantom Dust
Massif vs Tongsoon
Massif overwhelmed Tongsoon but was cheated out of a clean win when Bounty Hunter returned to ringside and tripped Massif as he was running the ropes. Bounty Hunter smirked as the decision was read and left before Massif could get his hands on him
Result: Massif defeated Tongsoon by DQ
Billy Jo Boxer returned to the cheers of the UCW crowd and reunites with DragonMaster for the next match.
Team Titan vs Masters of Illusion
The great Titans clearly hadn't missed a beat and they dominated the newly-christened "Masters", until the Nightmare Men came to ringside and put Lightening foot on the ropes during a pin causing yet ANOTHER disqualification. Some of these DQ's seem to be from not the most dangerous of situations, and it might be something for Carter and Guile to look at....
Result: Team Titan defeated the Masters of Illusion when Lightening was disqualified.
Quasar vs Bishop Hell
The former Gravity Ball star had his toughest test to date against the always tough Bishop Hell. Quasar put up a great fight but fell the Hellfire (which, strangely, given all the disqualifications on the card, was allowed to have happen. Where is the consistency?!).
Result: Bishop Hell defeated Quasar after the Hellfire
The Universal tag team champion Gladiators came down to uncharacteristic cheers as they waited for their "mystery" opponents. After a few seconds of nothing....
*WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN?*
Universal Tag Team Championship: Gladiators (c) vs Polarity
Released from the SSF "agreement" Sin went nuts quickly, using everything he could get his hands on to attack both Gladiators as Salvation just stood back and watched. Eventually (and seemingly reluctantly) the referee called for a disqualification and the Gladiators retained in....strange fashion.
Result: The Gladiators defeated Polarity to retain the Universal Tag Team Championship when Sin was disqualified
Before the Universal Title match, Commissioner Carter came into the ring and stood in the corner. As the challenger Matador came to the ring, Carter and Matador shook hands, seemingly to show that all the bad behind-the-scenes bad blood between the two had been settled.
Universal Title Match: Wolf (c) vs Matador
A very competitive match had the crowd on it's feet and both men took the other's best shot. Matador even broke out of the Savage Face Claw at one point! Matador was unable to hit his Bullwhip, and Wolf nailed him with a running clothesline and covered Matador. With Carter looking intently in the ring, the referee seemed to have a slightly quicker count than normal as he counted 3, but perhaps it was just the bias of this observer. Matador seemed slightly upset, but more that he got caught than at the referee. Wolf (and the fans) didn't seem to care as he celebrated his win as the first big show of 2093 came to an end.
Result: Wolf defeated Matador after a running clothesline to retain the Universal Title.

*Event starts with Whiplash and the Men of Action in the ring and Morpheus appearing on the screen*
"Hello to the great SSF fans. Exo-King told me that he was a bit busy with some 'royal preparations' of some sort and will be here later. Right now in the ring, you have 3 of the four men who will represent Neptune at the Sol System Cup. I thought it was appropriate to introduce the 4th member personally. He was the man who topped the fan voting for Team Neptune and he was so touched he wanted to go back to his roots. Introducing, the team captain of Neptune.....NATURAL MAN!!"
*The crowd cheers as the man usually known as Vanity comes out dressed as his first persona*

*As the points standing were being put up on the screen, a fan jumped the railing and attempted to charge the ring. Suddenly, 2 other (reasonably large) fans in masks did the same. They proceeded to stomp the exhausted Greek Gods and Team Universe and started ripping up the ringside area. Security tried to get them, but these 3 "fans" clearly knew what they were doing and dispatched them. Same for the other teams that only came out 2 men at a time, clearly underestimating the scope of the threat. With everyone laid out, they started unmasking: First was Adam Blast! The second and third unmasked at the same time to reveal...The AniMen, Battering Ram and Badger. As the 3 stood stoically in the ring, Exo-King FINALLY showed up on the screen*
"Hello my 'loyal' subjects!" (said very sarcastically)
"It became clear to me that the vermin that calls themselves SSF fans have no respect for authority. They have no respect for their betters. They have no respect for royalty. You need a lesson in respect. You need a lesson in power. So I will show you my power. These men in the ring are champions in the truest sense of the word. You have your 'Team Earth', your 'Team Titan' and your 'Team Neptune' for the Sol System Cup. Let me introduce the fourth team. Team CHAMPION! The three men you see in the ring will be joined by the singular greatest champion of all. Me. I hope you all enjoyed watching your SSF 'wrestlers' tonight. It may be the last time you ever see them walking. You will NOT disobey your leader again. I AM KING!!"
