United Earth Enquirer with Sharon Kinsman
Setting records for the most drastic drops in viewership, Heroes of Wrestling took a dive after Commander Sam's winning streak came to an end after just one win! Though the blame has been placed by producers on the shoulders of a wrestler who calls himself Thantos, the fans seemingly have directed their disillusionment toward Commander Sam. On more than one occasion, this disillusionment has crossed over into hostility.
Thantos, who was virtually unknown before overthrowing a world renown superhero last month, has since become a household name. Where his newborn fame will take him is anyone's guess, but Commander Sam's immediate direction seems clear - nowhere.
Sam, who became a figure of admiration, even worship, during the Galactic Wars, has since made millions from his tough-guy image. He has starred in over twenty high grossing action films, mostly about his heroics during the Galactic Wars. The films co-starred two of Sam's in-ring foes, Torpor and Montrol. We had an opportunity to speak to Torpor, who was himself a war hero from his world of Cygnus.
Torpor: <translated from Cygnusian> "Our ships were together caught in a temporal rift during the wars. We had to work together or else we would have probably both died. (pause) I wouldn't say that we were friends, but business associates - yes. The political climate changed so much on Cygnus that there was no room for war heroes. I did better working with Sam. He called me - he said 'Torpor, I need you for a movie - Torpor, I need you for a match'. I came - I made a lot of credits. (pause) No, we were not friends but we knew we could make a lot of credits with him beating me up. (laughs) Earthlings are very angry. They love to see me get beat up again and again."
Now, that the cat's out of the bag, one can only wonder what's next for men like Torpor and Commander Sam. One thing seems certain - the credits have stopped flowing in, at least for now. IBS announced earlier in the week that Heroes of Wrestling was being canceled after only four episodes.
This is Sharon Kinsman for the United Earth Enquirer.

Press Release:
On Monday, the Galactic Wrestling Federation made its first move since the disappointing cancellation of Heroes of Wrestling last month. Its new Executive Vice President, Torin Caelum, announced that the GWF will continue with a new show called Galactic Superstars, which is scheduled to debut in June. "Galactic Superstars will feature the brightest stars, the most famous arenas, and the most hard-hitting action in sports," Caelum told the press.
About the GWF:
The Galactic Wrestling Federation was founded in 2074 by Omega of Cetus and Morpheus of Aldebaran. The company promoted wrestling matches throughout the Milky Way after the Galactic Wars, succeeding on the strength of the rivalry between the company's owners. By 2080 the GWF's popularity faded when Morpheus retired from the ring and committed himself to working behind the scenes. Disagreement between the owners led to the GWF's sale to VisionWorks in 2084. Apart from announced restarts which never took place, the GWF remained inactive until 2087's 'Heroes of Wrestling' debacle captained by then-Executive Vice President Skip Donovan. Donovan was fired after the cancellation of Heroes of Wrestling and replaced by ex-wrestler Torin Caelum.

Thanks for reading, guys.
GWF Galactic Superstars Antilles Air Dome - Antilles June 2087 (5) - 13,694 attending Hosts: Prospero, Ken Henson & Amon Marritza
1. The handsome Prospero opened up the first Galactic Superstars from the 'cheap seats' of the Antilles Air Dome where thousands were awaiting the beginning of wrestling history. "The GWF is back," Prospero said, "and this is going to be a ride that none of us will forget." Scheduled tonight - the first round of a tournament crown the first ever GWF Galactic Heavyweight Champion. From the broadcast table, Ken Henson introduced himself along with the familiar Amon Marritza who smirked upon introduction. Henson said that tonight there would be no tricks - no gimmicks, only great action.
2. Star Warrior vs. Marcel de Sade. One of the few things firmly established in the minds of fans from Heroes of Wrestling was that Marcel de Sade was for real. De Sade finished his Heroes run on a 2-0 winning streak and was considered a favorite in the tournament. His opponent was Star Warrior, a young fresh-faced youth from Cetus, son of an interstellar diplomat who was also one of the founders of the GWF. The young man started very poorly in the match against De Sade, as Henson and Marritza discussed Star Warrior's history in wrestling, and that he was an 8 year pro who actually wrestled briefly for the GWF back in 2079. De Sade dominated long enough that things seemed academic. He became careless and landed on Star Warrior's knees why trying a deathjump! Star Warrior came back as the fans got behind him, stunning De Sade with a Running Star Blast and then coming off the top with a NOVA LAUNCH that found its target and effectively ended the undefeated streak of Marcel de Sade. Winner: Star Warrior by pinfall
3. Prospero's I-Spy: The Neptunean Space-Croppers. Out in the middle of a vast green wilderness constructed on Neptune, is a wrestling ring made of what appears to be bamboo. Inside the ring, the Renegade roars as he sends some hapless hairy opponent sailing over the top rope and into the underbrush. At ringside is the trainer, the Beast-Rider! "I am Terak, called the Beast-Rider in the GWF. To answer your question, I don't consider myself a wrestling trainer - more of a trainer of discipline - a tamer of wild things if you please. When I found the Renegade he was little more than a grunting beastman taking a leak on everything - you know, marking his territory. Now he wears pants and he hasn't killed any of the other students in - how long?" "Oh, months," the Natural Man says. "Oh Terak, when are you going to fix my broken suspender? I feel positively ridiculous with only one." Beast-Rider sighs and says, "Sometimes I think I do my work a little too well."
4. Renegade vs. Montrol. Montrol arrived in the ring with all the usual pomp and circumstance, flanked to either side by stormtroopers from CTA-102. The black cloaked warlord enters the ring, only to be promptly pounced upon by the Renegade! Beast-Rider shouts his support from the inside as Renegade sends Montrol flying over the top rope and into the arms of his storm troopers! The crowd is ecstatic as the soldiers roll their leader back into the ring, into a SPINE-CRACKER! Montrol flails around and finally gives up! Winner: Renegade by submission
5. As stormtroopers picked up the broken pieces of their leader, a bald lumpy-headed muscle man with a big moustache and bigger biceps entered the ring from seemingly nowhere and began to attack the entire squad of troops! Men went flying out of the ring shrieking and sent down into a crumpled heap from this invader's hard fisticuffs! This man looked much like Montrol, only larger and less regally dressed. He was obviously also from CTA-102! The invader appeared to be helping Montrol to his feet, but then drove him into the mat with a devastating piledriver! "DISMISSED!" he growled and left the ring.
6. In the interview area, Prospero was with Star Warrior, who was primed and ready for the second round after his upset victory over Marcel De Sade. "Marcel De Sade is a tough competitor, but he made the mistake of taking me too lightly, a mistake that Beast-Rider won't let the Renegade make in the next round. But I'm ready for anything, and..." Star Warrior trailed off as the Natural Man walked in with TWO suspenders, trailed by the Beast-Rider who was urging him not to intervene. "You don't think that you really can win, do you?" Natural Man said with a smile. "You're a handsome man, I'll give you that - almost as handsome as me, but you need a lot more than that to win the tournament. I mean the thing I've been training for for years on Neptune. You may get past Renegade, but you won't get past me."
7. Natural Man vs. Genghis Khan. As Beast-Rider tried to get some common sense through Natural Man's massive ego, the man called Genghis Khan made his first appearance. The real Genghis Khan? A clone? A wannabe? Who could say? But one could almost hear the cracks forming in Natural Man's wall of confidence as Khan removed his robe. The first five minutes of the match consisted of Khan attempting to grapple with Natural Man, only for the Space-Cropper to lean out between the ropes or completely leave the ring to collect himself. Natural Man finally found an opening to attack Khan from behind, which seemed to cause a great deal of embarrassment for Beast-Rider. Even this didn't put him ahead of the game, as Khan took over on offense and stayed in control, nearly knocking Natural Man out with a nerve pinch before finally putting him down for the count after his TWIN THRUST. Winner: Genghis Khan by pinfall
8. Promo:
"Putting the world back into your hands By putting the strength back into your limbs You deserve more than to lay on the floor Get your Exo-Tron 3000!"
Depictions of happy people with odd-looking metal devices wrapped around their body as they walk and run around stiffly and awkwardly. A smiling masked wrestler shakes hands with the smiling inventors, a giant man with a brown beard, and a small man with effeminate blonde hair. Graphs and charts scroll by quickly which show results from the Exo-Tron 3000, which by the way only costs 25 million credits, and of course there are plenty of smiling faces to tell you just how happy everyone is that they spent their 25 million.
"Putting the world back into your hands By putting the strength back into your limbs You deserve more than to lay on the floor Get your Exo-Tron 3000!"
9. Moon Knight vs. Santon the Loner. Moon Knight made his return to the squared circle with the jingle to the Exo-Tron 3000 commercial playing in the background. He appeared to be in terrific shape thanks to the invention of Dr. Jove and Dr. Kinsington. Unfortunately his agility appeared to be that of a large box turtle. His opponent was Santon, which meant very little considering how many people had worn the mask, but it was obvious that it was NOT Thantos this time. Moon Knight got a good start on Santon, covering him for a fall after a chop to the throat. But Santon was not going to be put down so easily and struck back, using Knight's own lack of coordination against him. Finally after a big atomic drop, Santon rolled Moon Knight up from behind to get the pinfall and advance to the next round! A disappointing outing for the returning Moon Knight!
10. Ken Henson and Amon Marritza talked about the incredible night of action, the first round of the Galactic Heavyweight title tournament. Next week, second round matches as Star Warrior would square off against the Renegade, and Genghis Khan would meet Santon in the semi-finals. Just as the card was about to go off the air, a stirring in the crowd attracted attention as fans pointed out Thantos sitting in the cheap seats with arms folded over his chest.
MATCH RESULTS:
1. Star Warrior pinned Marcel de Sade 2. Renegade made Montrol submit 3. Genghis Khan pinned Natural Man 4. Santon pinned Moon Knight

GWF Galactic Superstars Mizar Solarsphere - Ursa Major June 2087 (6) - 17,391 attending Hosts: Prospero, Ken Henson & Amon Marritza
1. From the cheap seats, Prospero opened up the second episode of Galactic Superstars, hyping the semi-finals of the Galactic Heavyweight title tournament to take place tonight. Two outstanding matches as Star Warrior would meet Renegade from the Neptunean Space-Croppers, and Genghis Khan would face the mysterious Santon. From their announce position, Ken Henson and Amon Maritza introduced themselves and talked a bit about the tournament. Marritza then called attention to the fifth row where sat a man who made a big splash just six months ago by beating Commander Sam twice - it was Thantos!
2. Beast-Rider vs. Invincible Krakan. Flashback to two weeks ago when Montrol submitted to Renegade's SPINECRACKER. This brought out another man from CTA-102 who cleaned out the ring, then finished off Montrol before "dismissing" him. Henson said that Prospero had tried to talk to Krakan after the incident but got nothing more than his name. Krakan said that he didn't want to talk to anybody until he got to do some talking in the ring. The man looked all business as he stepped again against the popular Beast-Rider. When the match started, it looked like Beast-Rider was prepared to show the world that Krakan was all hype. He certainly did a fine job in the beginning, but Krakan caught on quickly and then was little more than a practice dummy for the bumpy headed fighter. Beast-Rider got a chance by reversing an Irish whip to the corner, but Krakan had little more to do than step aside as Beast-Rider charged, and then rolled up Beast-Rider for the win. Winner: Invincible Krakan by pinfall
3. Prospero's I-Spy: Moon Knight. Prospero was at a pool where in the background, Moon Knight rested in the sun wearing bikini briefs, his mask, sunglasses, and of course his Exo-Tron 3000. Prospero pulled up a chair close to Moon Knight, observing his surprise that Knight was not out running, hunting, or enjoying some physical activity now that he was no longer disabled by his paralysis. Moon Knight indicated that the ExoTron was on the fritz and he really was paralysed today. "Oh, I'm so sorry - I did not intend to be so insensitive," Prospero said. "Don't worry," Knight said confidently. "It's under warranty and Dr. Kensington is coming out to play with it. I just hope that's all he plays with this time... jeesh." Prospero asked Moon Knight about losing his coming-out-of-retirement match on Superstars, to which Moon Knight said, "There's still some kinks to work out of my ExoTron. It's a prototype model, and right now I'm just getting my wrestling legs back, so to speak. In no time I'll be as good as I ever was, dudeman!"
4. In the backstage area, Krakan is storming through and being persued by the GWF's own Prospero. "Krakan, can we get a word? An impressive victory tonight..." Krakan shoved Prospero out of the way, keeping his back to the cam. "I'll talk when I want to talk - when I win like I want to. Get away from me!" Prospero's shoulders slumped as he turned to the hovercam and said, "Still no word on what took place last week. Where did this man, Krakan, come from? What's his beef with Montrol? I'm going to stay on top of this story... from a distance of 20 feet or so. Back to you, Ken and Marritza.
5. Star Warrior vs. Renegade. Renegade came out with Beast-Rider who was still in pain after the match with Krakan. Star Warrior got a lot of crowd support, as the world saw him beat the unbeaten Marcel de Sade two weeks ago, and wondered if he would do the same to Renegade, who was also unbeaten in the GWF. Renegade was charged for this match and pounced on Star Warrior even before the bell sounded, but the rage of the Space-Cropper may not have been working in his favor early on as Star Warrior found it easy to dodge and anticipate his moves. But whether it was ringrust or overconfidence, Star Warrior made a fatal mistake by going for an early backdrop and getting rolled up and beaten by Renegade with a sunset flip! The crowd roared, as the man who many - if not most were backing had been quickly eliminated from the tournament. Star Warrior slapped the mat in disgust, then offered the Renegade a handshake. Beast-Rider, who seemingly had forgotten about getting his clock cleaned earlier, urged his man to shake Star Warrior's hand - they shook hands, and Renegade was going to the finals where he would meet either Santon or Genghis Khan! Winner: Renegade by pinfall
6. "Who in the world is Santon?" The mask of Santon lays across the chest of Commander Sam after being taken off the head of Thantos. "Santon, Intergalactic Man of Mystery." Santon appears from the darkness as mysterious mist billows around him. "Is he man or men? Is he a conspirator or a conspiracy? Only Santon knows - or does he?" Santon stands silently with arms folded. "Santon - the man - the myth - the mystery." Scrolling through images of dozens of different men who are suspected of being Santon. "Will the real Santon please stand up?" We see the empty mask of Santon the Loner.
7. Pulsar vs. Mutant. Both men ... err, man and...thing, made their debut on Superstars in a rematch from Heroes of Wrestling. It was there that Pulsar was stopped by this bizarre anomaly called simply, "Mutant". There were no fancy entrances for Pulsar this time. It was all business, and the young wrestler went right at Mutant as if he was an old foe tha the knew very well. Although Pulsar's initiative was very good, his attempts to stun Mutant were not. Mutant handled the young buck like a man who knew all the tricks. After repeated attempts to take the fight outside, Mutant won the match inside by nailing Pulsar with a big clothesline and getting the pin. Winner: Mutant by pinfall
8. Prospero was at ringside indicating that he wanted to get a word from the man in the fifth row, Thantos! Many in the crowd cheered, whether they actually liked Thantos or just wanted to hear his story was unclear. He sat with his arms folded like a granite statue as Prospero approached and asked Thantos if he had anything to say to the people. "I have nothing to say to these sheep," Thantos growled and chuckled. "These are the people who loved Commander Sam until he turned out to be just like them, and now they treat him like he's less than they are. No matter what was uncovered on Commander Sam, he's still more than any of you people will ever hope to be." Prospero remarked, "It seems you have something to say to them after all." Thantos grunted and said, "Nothing that anyone wants to hear. I wasn't even invited to be in this tournament, which is supposed to be the greatest wrestlers in the world? What a joke." Prospero looked at the hovercam and said, "A bitter man, this Thantos. Back to Ken Henson and Amon Marritza."
9. Genghis Khan vs. Santon the Loner. The backgrounds and identities of both wrestlers were a mystery to the audience, including the broadcasters who couldn't even speculate as to what we would see. What resulted was a back and forth encounter which seemingly could have swung in either direction, until Santon nailed Khan with an atomic drop and then rolled him up with a schoolboy to pull off the victory that would send him to the tournament finals! Winner: Santon by pinfall
10. Ken Henson and Amon Marritza went over the events seen on this edition of Galactic Superstars, hyping the final of the tournament which would take place in two weeks on the next Superstars. Renegade of the Neptunean Space-Croppers would face Santon the Loner, and one man would walk out with the most prestigious wrestling trophy in the galaxy! All of that, plus... what? Amon Marritza draws attention to a stirring in the crowd as Thantos is headed toward the ring! But there's no time!
MATCH RESULTS: 1. Invincible Krakan pinned Beast-Rider after Beast-Rider botched a charge into the corner 2. Renegade pinned Star Warrior with a sunset flip in Semi-Final Tournament Match / Galactic Heavyweight Title 3. Mutant pinned Pulsar after a clothesline 4. Santon pinned Genghis Khan in Semi-Final Tournament Match / Galactic Heavyweight Title

I love the randomness of the dice sometimes and hate it on other times. I actually like Renegade, even though I wouldn't have personally chosen him to beat Star Warrior. But it's better than Beast-Rider beating him.
This makes Renegade 3-0 in the GWF, which may be the best start he's ever had for me. Now if I can just keep Killer Queen from dominating. Killer Queen has always been dominant in all of my restarts. I hate it.

I'm hoping I can get Kraken some wins so he can get a future shot at the title. I'll push the hell out of the Space Croppers, but I just don't see them grabbin' gold. I have yet to give Killer Queen a singles run, but it is possible at some point in time. Exo-King does fairly well when he's away from KQ. I have no idea why I'm postin' this. Basically, your shows inspire me.

GWF Galactic Superstars Hosts: Prospero, Ken Henson & Amon Marritza Epsilon Playground - Epsilon Ring, Uranus Attendance: 17,391 - Card #7 - (7th of 2087)
1. From the cheap seats of the Epsilon Playground in the Epsilon Ring of Uranus, Prospero opened up another edition of GWF Galactic Superstars. Tonight Santon and Renegade would face off to decide the fate of the GWF Galactic Heavywight title! One of these individuals would walk out as the very first GWF Galactic Heavyweight champion! Fans behind Prospero were excited and showing support for the Renegade, who many felt would trounce the mysterious Santon. From their broadcast positions, Ken Henson and Amon Marritza introduced themselves and hyped what was sure to be a tremendous night of wrestling.
2. Pulsar's heroic music began to play as Pulsar, the man from Saturn himself, came running down the long aisle with a mob of children from all species running behind him. This could be attributed partly to Pulsar's clean-cut wholesome image and even more so to his attempt to make a really big deal out of his entrance to the ring. His opponent was the man-thing who had already beat him in two straight matches, the Mutant who stood in the ring scratching himself and watching vacantly as Pulsar approached with cape flying and children in tow.
3. Pulsar vs. Mutant. It took the ref some time to clear the children out of the ring, and even then they surrounded the squared circle making this match appear as a midget lumberjack match. The children urged Pulsar on as did the fans as he stood up to Mutant, determined that the third time was NOT going to be a charm for him/it. This match was much more competitive than their last two, although it started very bad with Mutant overpowering Pulsar and laying a whooping down on him. But at the children's urging, Pulsar came back and nearly pinned Mutant after a flying leg scissors. But Mutant's awareness could not be underestimated, and the weird mass of living tissue came back and used the TEMPLE GRINDER to make Pulsar tap out in front of all the children! The children promptly got in the ring and began to attack Mutant! The monstrosity went down with tiny fists and feet battering him as Pulsar rubbed his ears and lamented another loss. Winner: Mutant by submission
4. Prospero's I-Spy: Thantos. In an empty arena, presumably before or after a big GWF show, Prospero is seated with the undefeated Thantos who took the world by storm when he twice defeated Commander Sam, becoming the ruin of the Heroes of Wrestling franchise. Prospero reminded Thantos of his words, that the tournament was a joke, and that it was a joke to call those involved the greatest wrestler's in the world. "Do you intend to challenge the winner of the tournament for the title?" Prospero asked. "Challenge?" Thantos growled. "I challenge no one. Your champion may challenge me if he realize what his title means - nothing. I am the champion of wrestling. I proved that by twice defeating the champion of all mankind. A fancy belt does not make a champion - only victory. It is I who stand atop the tiny GWF mountain, and your champion can only stand in my shadow."
5. Moon Knight vs. Invincible Krakan. Moon Knight's ExoTron had obviously bell recharged, and the veteran wrestler with his equipment was joined by none other than Dr. Jove and Dr. Kensington at ringside, who watched the match closely while taking notes on an iPad, occasionally leaning over to make a verbal observation from one to the other. Moon Knight had a big more fight in him this week, keeping Krakan off balance in the beginning, but the man from CTA-102 quickly struck back and turned the match back to his favor. One almost felt sorry for Moon Knight as Krakan pummeled him so ferociously, mercifully ending the match with a cross body press into a pinfall. Dr. Jove and Dr. Kensington shared a laugh as Moon Knight lost again, waiting for their experiment to recover enough to roll out of the ring and walk awkwardly backstage. Winner: Krakan by pinfall
6. In the interview area, Prospero tried to get a word with Mutant who would not respond, but only shifted his dead stare back and forth between the cambot and the interviewer. The only real sign of life came from his compulsive scratching of himself. Prospero was done with the 'interview' long before Mutant left the scene, having never gotten a word from the strange creature. Pulsar showed up next rubbing the side of his head where the TEMPLE GRINDER made him tap out. "It's a demoralizing defeat, but how did you like my entrance? I thought that was awesome, truly." Prospero seemed speechless, finally saying, "Very impressive, but this is your third loss to Mutant. I think everyone's wondering what's going through your mind right now." Pulsar nodded and said, "Yeah, my next entrance is gonna blow everyone away - that's a promise!"
7. Star Warrior vs. Genghis Khan. The two men who were eliminated from the tournament semi-finals clashed! Neither had failed to impress, although Star Warrior's loss was seen by many as an upset despite the fact that the Renegade had been on an undefeated streak. Tonight it seemed as if Star Warrior was out to make up for his loss last week. The bell had barely rang before Khan was on the receiving end of a staggering attack, ending with the NOVA launch which effectively ended the match and put Star Warrior back in the win column. After the match Khan attacked Star Warrior with a sharp object that he'd had tucked into his cloak! Star Warrior dodged the attack but remained on the defensive until the Invincible Krakan hit the ring and nailed Khan with a FALLING FACE SLAM! The crowd applauded as Krakan showed himself one of the good guys! Winner: Star Warrior by pinfall
8. Tournament highlights were shown, Renegade's victories over Montrol and Star Warrior which propelled him into the finals. Likewise, Santon had big wins over Moon Knight and Genghis Khan which brought him to the finals to crown a new Galactic Heavyweight champion! The two men made their entrances, Renegade with Beast-Rider and Natural Man, whereas Santon came out by himself, being the Loner that he was. The stage was set and the crowd was primed for what everyone hoped would be a tremendous finale to the tournament.
9. Renegade vs. Santon for the GWF Galactic Heavyweight championship! This was a war of epic proportions, and most undoubtedly the greatest match in the short history of the GWF's relaunch. Back and forth the match went until it seemed it could go no longer. Past the twenty minute mark it went, the Renegade bleeding all over the ring, his cut worsening as the match continued. Past the 30 minute mark Renegade had Santon hooked in the SPINECRACKER, but somehow Santon summoned enough strength not to tap. Still on they fought, inside and outside the ring until finally Santon rolled up Renegade from behind and got the pinfall to win the tournament and capture the Galactic Heavyweight title! The fans cheered both of these incredible athletes, despite Renegade being the chosen favorite. Beast-Rider attended to his student as the title was awarded to the masked loner, Santon! Winner: Santon the Loner, and new Galactic Heavyweight Champion!
10. After Santon strapped the title belt around his waist, he did the unthinkable! Reaching up for his mask, he began to loosen the ties, finally pulling the covering off his head to reveal....
COMMANDER SAM!!
MATCH RESULTS: 1. Mutant made Pulsar submit to the TEMPLE GRINDER 2. Invincible Krakan pinned Moon Knight with a cross body press 3. Star Warrior pinned Genghis Khan after the NOVA LAUNCH 4. Santon (Commander Sam) pinned Renegade in the Tournament Final / Galactic Heavyweight Title
