I love that Mutant is dominating Pulsar. His elaborate ring entrances doesn't put any fear into Mutant! It was good to see Kraken win; I'm about to give him a singles push after my first PPV. I hope Khan kills Star Warrior; I just don't like the clean-cut seed of Omega! However, I do look forward to teaming him with Pulsar Prime in a few game years. Also, it's great to see Sam/Stanton as your champ! I enjoyed reading the show, bro! Your GWF is now my favorite posted here.

That was a great interview with Thantos, very well written. I like what you're doing with Pulsar here, distracting from his awful wrestling with the entrances. I almost get a heelish sort of Vanity feel from him. A great way to make someone I've always felt is an utterly boring character actually interesting.

GWF #8 from Rigel Nova Pavilion, Orion "RUMBLE IN RIGEL" Hosts: Prospero, Ken Henson & Amon Marritza Attendance: 28,504 - Year: 2087 (#8)
1. Replaying the finish to the Galactic Heavyweight Title tournament in which Santon the Loner pinned Renegade with a rollup to win the title! But then Santon shocked the world by removing his mask to reveal... Commander Sam? Prospero was in the center of the ring where almost 30,000 had gathered to introduce the new Galactic Heavyweight Champion, Commander Sam! Sam walked down to the ring dressed familiarly in the colors of the United Earth Federation, but minus the usual pomp and circumstance that brought him to the ring in the past. "I had something to prove to the world, and now I have this to show for it!" Sam lifted the Galactic title as many in the crowd showed their approval. Sam said that he's been living with the name "Commander Fraud" for six months, but this should close the debate once and for all that he is the undisputed champion of wrestling! Many in the crowd were chanting "Thantos! Thantos!" when Big Superstar's music hit and the man with the 24 inch pythons made his way to the ring. "You hear them chanting the Superstar's name, brother? Everybody knows who the rightful champion is, dude! Nobody's gonna respect you unless you take down the Superstar, brother!"
2. Commander Sam [c] vs. Big Superstar for the Galactic Heavyweight Championship. The two locked up and Superstar won an early test of strength, shoving Sam back into the corner before going into a series of poses. But Sam took Superstar down with a hiptoss when they locked horns again, and many in the crowd went nuts, wholly accepting him back into their hearts. But there were chants of "Thantos! Thantos!" going on through the crowd that were hard to ignore, even though Ken Henson was trying his best to do just that from the broadcast table. Superstar went for his fabled SUPERSTAR DROP, but Sam rolled out of the way and hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP before rolling up the challenger from behind to get the pinfall and retain the belt! Winner: Commander Sam by pinfall
3. Prospero was in the interview area with Beast-Rider and Natural Man, who would face Moon Knight and Dr. Kensington of ExoTron Inc later on. Prospero said that he certainly wished them the best of luck, but he was really the most interested in talking to the Renegade and getting his thoughts on coming so close to being Galactic Heavyweight champion. Beast-Rider said that Renegade was not much for speeches, but that even though he didn't walk out with the title, he was proud that Renegade gave perhaps the most gutsy performance in the short history of the GWF. Natural Man had another opinion, adding, "Gutsy? Do you always have to be so flatulant with your language? It's not as if that angry vegetable would have known the first thing to do with a championship. Does he value anything more than raw meat and a tree to scratch himself against?" Natural Man snickered as Beast-Rider just shook his head.
4. Renegade vs. Mutant. As Beast-Rider said, Renegade may have had no affinity for speeches, but he certainly was not shy about taking the fight to the ring. Mutant hardly knew what hit him as Hurricane Renegade blasted into the ring, a spinning cyclone of rage. But Mutant proved to be different from his other opponents, being difficult to shake up and perhaps even fearless. The Space-Cropper gave 110% in the first five minutes before the resilient Mutant found an opening to strike back, at last hooking Renegade in the clutches of his TEMPLE GRINDER! Renegade somehow fought out of the hold but found himself in it again! The screams of pain and rage that filled the ring area were bloodcurdling to say the least as Mutant continued to grind away until finally the referee stopped the match! Winner: Mutant by decision
5. Prospero's I-Spy: ExoTron Incorporated. From the ExoTron Tower in Metropolis, Earth, Prospero is the guest of Dr. Jove and Dr. Kensington who are about to test the ExoTron 3500 exo-skeletal system. Also on hand is Moon Knight. Moon Knight and Dr. Kensington are both wearing ExoTron's, though Moon Knight is still fitted in the older ExoTron 3000 model. "Knight and my associate, Dr. Kensington, are about to demonstrate the improvements of our new ExoTron 3500 over the old 3000 model," the giant Dr. Jove said with iPad in hand. "Gentlemen, step up on the treadmills." Kensington, looking thin and fit in his spiffy looking 3500 steps up on his treadmill as Moon Knight clomps up onto his in his archaic 3000. Jove hits a lever and the treadmills suddenly start. Prospero watches as Kensington seems to be running with flawless coordination. Meanwhile Moon Knight trudges awkwardly, desperately trying to keep the pace until finally he goes down flat on his face with a crash and is rolled off the treadmill. Jove and Kensington laugh. "Yes," the effiminate Kensington says, "the improvements are astonishing. The real test will come in the ring."
6. Beast-Rider & Natural Man vs. Moon Knight & Dr. Kensington. Henson and Marritza speculated on whether or not Moon Knight would come down fitted with the 3500 ExoTron, but it was evident that he was still wearing the 3000. Dr. Jove led the team down to the ring as the contact information to pre-order your very own ExoTron 3500 system for only 50 million credits showed on the screen. Moon Knight seemed more pathetic than ever in the ring, to the point that it was almost sad to see him trying to compete. One would never know by the smirk on Dr. Kensington's and Dr. Jove's faces as they watched Natural Man pummel him into the ground. Finally Natural Man tagged out to Beast-Rider who continued the job, nearly finishing Moon Knight a couple of times. Eventually Moon Knight got the tag to Kensington, who faced off against Natural Man for the first time. One would have thought that Kensington was a 10 year veteran by how quickly he took Natural Man out, hooking him up in a boston crab. The move was only barely fully applied before Natural Man was screaming submission. "How did I do, Doctor?" Kensington asked Jove. "A truly impressive test of the technology, Doctor," Jove replied. Winner: Moon Knight & Dr. Kensington
7. There was a buzz in the crowd as Thantos went through the audience and climbed into the ring unannounced! This was the first time that Thantos had actually been seen in a GWF ring since Heroes of Wrestling was cancelled! "At the top of the hour, I heard a man claim to be the champion of wrestling, proven by the fact that he beat a bunch of nobodies, and punctuated by beating yet another nobody. My name is Thantos, and everyone in this place knows that I'm the king of the mountain. If anyone thinks they can knock me off that mountain, all you have to do is try!" At that, the theme of Pulsar ignited the fans to a standing ovation as the children's hero himself ran down to the ring with cape flying behind him and jumped into the ring, pointing one finger heroically at Thantos, indicating that he was going to take him down! Thantos didn't expect Pulsar to be any match for him, but the young man showed that he was nothing if not fast. Thantos got his share of blows in, but Pulsar's speed kept him in the match until he actually was able to hook Thantos in a Boston crab! And just like that, the bell rang! Thantos tapped out to Pulsar's crab??? Winner: Pulsar by submission?
8. The crowd was abuzz, practically ready to rush the ring and carry him on their shoulders as the referee raised his hand high! Thantos seemed beside himself, a grimace on his face. The self-proclaimed king of the mountain grabbed the referee and spun him around, arguing with the decision as Ken Henson and Amon Marritza debated the legitimacy of the call. Did Thantos tap, or did the ref call the match too soon? What was going on? The decision was announced - Pulsar had won the match, and there seemed little that Thantos could do about the situation.
9. Star Warrior & Invincible Krakan vs. Marcel De Sade & Genghis Khan. After the mysterious Krakan came down to save Star Warrior from the beating he almost endured at the cruel hands of Genghis Khan, the two joined forces against two men who were none too pleased with suffering recent losses to the GWF newcomer. Krakan's loyalty was questioned by many, but the lumpy headed warrior proved a strong ally to Star Warrior in this match as they cut the ring in half and kept the match for the most part under their control. Star Warrior put the finishing touches on Khan after Krakan softened him up. Winner: Star Warrior & Invincible Krakan by pinfall
10. Prospero was in the interview area with Thantos who was holding his calm, but clearly enraged by his controversial defeat. When asked to comment on his upset defeat, Thantos only smirked and shook his head. "Don't you see what's going on here? If only you had some living tissue inside that big globe resting on top of your neck - if only the GWF was in the business of promoting wrestling instead of squeezing every possible penny out of this washed up comic book hero - if only the audience was interested in truth instead of whitewashed deceit - maybe then someone would value what I have to say."
MATCH RESULTS: 1. Commander Sam [c] pinned Big Superstar to retain the Galactic Heavyweight title 2. Mutant defeated Renegade with the TEMPLE GRINDER when the ref stopped the match 3. Moon Knight & Dr. Kensington beat Beast-Rider & Natural Man when Natural Man tapped to Kensington's Boston crab 4. Pulsar beat Thantos in a controversial decision when the ref claimed Thantos tapped to Pulsar's Boston crab 5. Star Warrior & Invincible Krakan beat Genghis Khan & Marcel de Sade

Superstar is nothing for Sam. Thantos? That's a different story.
What Sam card/year are you using? Also, I like how you're using Thantos.

I'm using Sam's 2087 card. Thanks for the compliment on Thantos. I've run the "Evil gangleader wants to take over the GWF" story so many times in past runs that it just seems redundant to do it again.

Wow, Pulsar over Thantos. I'm guessing that's another case of the dice not doing what you want them to, although Thantos disputing the victory adds another fun wrinkle to it anyway.

That's pretty much exactly how it went. The dice betrayed me and derailed my plans, but as it turned out the dice were right because the ideas I got from the derailment are better than my original plans.
