Good morning everyone! Years ago I posted my GWF here but then as happens with me when I play games, I suffered a little burnout. I think I was trying to do too many cards too quickly and I just lost interest (even though I really loved the direction I was going with the fed). Every once in awhile over the past few years I'd get the itch again but I wouldn't ever take that next step to actually start up again, but this time, I'm doing it. I'm playing this game again. I miss it too much. It's too much fun! And besides that, what the hell else are we supposed to do. We can't go anywhere or do anything so this seems like the perfect time to restart.
That being said, I needed to decide how I wanted to start playing again. Do I start all over with a new fed? It had been years and obviously I don't really remember everything that happened. But on the other hand, as I said, I loved the direction I was going and I really did want to continue that old fed. So that's what I'm going to do. Luckily I kept detailed notes as to what was going on and where I was intending to go with the stories (this copious note taking would come as a shock to my D&D group if they ever knew; D&D being another hobby I picked up in recent years).
Then it became a question of how to post here again. Do I start a new thread, or bump the old one and continue it there? I decided on starting a new thread and posting from my very first card onward. I have a few reasons for doing this. One, it forces me to re-read my fed from card number one which will get me back familiar with the history of my fed. Two, since it took me a few cards to find a style I liked, this will give me the opportunity to change the style of my earlier cards to make them consistent throughout. Three, I can clean up the dialogue in spots. There was some poor grammar and just plain awkward language that I wasn't to fond of (I think I referred to heroes and villains in places and I'm not a fan of that. It seems too much like real life wrestlers referring to heels and faces which should never happen). So that's what I'm going to do.
I do want to say that though some dialogue may change from the original postings, it will just by syntax and grammar changes; the story will not change at all and the results will not change at all. Also, unfortunately on my earlier cards I didn't have match descriptions. I could make something up, but that would seem cheap to me. I don't know what actually happened outside the results, so I will only have results for those early matches. I refuse to retcon anything.
So there you have it. I hope you'll come along with me on this journey! The first three cards should be up within the next few hours!
