The GWF returned to Tau Ceti for the first big card of 2090. The fans were not disappointed as the night saw the tag team champions in action in a six man tag match, and the IP title on the line in a big main event.
Powerhouse and Iron Mane beat The Cosmic Forces and Pit Viper (with Doomsayer)
A hot six man tag opened the show with the tag champs joining forces with Pit Viper to take on their top challengers Powerhouse who were joined by Iron Mane. The ani-man and the big men from Cerse worked well together, controlling much of the match. Pit Viper continues to avoid getting into the ring with Iron Mane, tagging out whenever the Ani-man came in. In the end, Earthquake and Massif hit Antimatter with the DOUBLE QUAKE for the win.
Reptillo pinned Billy Jo Boxer
The turncoat Ani-man picked up a quick win over his Titan rival. Reptillo’s speed advantage was the difference maker here as he used a lightening fast cross-body block to get the 1-2-3. Boxer wasn’t happy with results and he and partner Lord Nexus have challenged Reptillo and Vanity to a match next week.
The Animal Pac dqed The Alien Corps
The red hot feud between the Animal Pac and the Alien Corps continues to burn up the ring. Tongsoon showed trememdous toughness kicking out of back to back Andromeda Drops. At the end of the match, a wild brawl broke out outside the ring, and the referee was forced to disqualify Comrade Terror, giving the victory to The Animal Pac.
Brute pinned Actagon
Since receiving their cleansing, the Gladiators have been unstoppable. The Greek Gods have done their best, but have yet to pick up a victory against the Atherians. This match didn’t change that pattern as Brute manhandled Actagon and put him away with Brute Force.
Bishop Hell pinned Mesmer
Bishop Hell has GWF champion Wolf in his sites, and showed why he’s the number one contender with an impressive victory over the master of the occult. Mesmer got in very little offense, before being put away with a Flying Cross.
Massacre pinned Proteus
As impressive as Brute was in defeating Actagon, Massacre was even more so in dismantling the other half of the Greek Gods. Massacre came out as a whirlwind and obliterated Proteus with the Cleansing in less then 90 seconds!!!

Galactic Punisher pinned Splatter
The Interplanetary Champion retained the title by defeating Darkos’ masked menace. Splatter put up a tough fight, but eventually succumbed to the Life Sentence. Splatter’s partner, Death Masque, was at ringside, and jumped the champion after the bell. These two will lock up somewhere down the line, and that promises to be an instant classic.
*NOTES & NEWS*
Attendance: 1155 (S.R.O)
The Gladiators remain unbeaten post cleansing. The Greek Gods will have one more shot at blemishing that mark when the two teams meet next week at Barnard's Star. A win will put the Gladiators into the tag title picture, while a lose could derail the duo from their goal.
Galactic Punisher continues to have problems with Darkos’ Masked Assassins, so next week he’ll join forces with someone in the same boat, Iron Mane. Mane continues to be frustrated by Pit Viper’s refusal to fight him one on one, but will get another chance to get his hands on the villain in tag team action.
GWF Champion Wolf will be in action, taking on Spike in a non-title match. The champ is focused on his upcoming defense against Bishop Hell, but he better not look past Spike, who’s a former champion in his own right.
Mesmer hasn’t won a match since losing the IP title to The Executioner in late 2089. At Barnard’s Star, he’ll try to reverse that trend when he takes on Mutant. So confident (or maybe it’s desperate) is Mesmer, that he says he’ll retire if he loses to Mutant.
The big main event at Barnard's Star will se the GWF Tag Team titles on the line as the Cosmic Forces defend against Powerhouse. Powerhouse has the momentum on their side, and may be the champions’ toughest challenge to date.
