Horrible officiating in the Dallas/KC match this past weekend. FC Dallas probably should have won 3-1 instead of losing 0-2, but KC had three extra helpers on the pitch. That was unbelievable. Ball clearly over the line by about a ball length and a half at least and neither the ref or his assistant see it. Then seconds later a goal called back by an incorrect offside call and then minutes later a guy pulled down in the box in what seemed to be a clear penalty. Now if the first goal is correctly allowed you can't say anything that followed would have unfolded the same way, but once the officials missed that many things for one team there was no way Dallas was winning. I don't know if I've ever seen a more poorly officiated game in any sport.

Okay, I'll say it now. Klinsmann must go. Last night was such an embarrassment, clearly full of poor manager decisions (Nagbe doesn't come on until the 78th minute? Really?!?!). First thing that needs to happen is Klinsmann needs to be replaced as Technical Director, because he's holding back talent; then after the transition to a new TD, he can be replaced as manager. Personally, I'd love to see Oscar Pareja get the nod, because he's done amazing things with the FCD academy players, but I think USMNT would look to make a splash by hiring someone with a Euro pedigree.

So much good soccer on today. Currently watching the Poland/Swiss match, the kick off to the UEFA knockout stage. Tonight, we get the third place game for the Copa America. A victory would mark the US men's best Copa America finish ever, and the team's best finish in a non-CONCACAF tournament since the 2009 Confederations Cup. I'm sure JK will spin it as a major accomplishment. I'm disinclined to agree.

I think it's possible Poland will knock out Portugal, because I think Portugal has a glass jaw and is one bad half away from total collapse.
As for the winner... I never bet against France in a tournament they host. Germany would be my #2 pick.
