I REALLY like the write-up style. Simple, yet we get a good feel of the fed all around.

It's a much easier write up for me. I can do the write up in a couple of minutes as opposed to 30 minutes like my old style took.

Jim Cornette and Mid-South Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express come down to the ring. Cornette mocks the Killer Bees for their absolute stupidity last week. He tells the Bees to go back to the minor leagues, the Midnight Express are just too much for them. Eaton gets on the stick and tells the fans that they had better get used to it, he and Condrey are going to be holding these belts for years to come. He's been beating bigger and stronger men his entire career and this match is no different. No one gave him a chance in this tournament and he plans to prove them wrong.

It's a much easier write up for me. I can do the write up in a couple of minutes as opposed to 30 minutes like my old style took. Understandable. Anyway, this style really works for the reader as well.

They're going to roughneck their way to the belts. Just then Jim Cornette and the Mid-South Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express appear on the set. Cornette warns Albano not to get too cocky. His boys are the champs for a reason. In fact they'll show them right now. Just then the Midnight Express attack the Valiants. Both teams brawl through out the studio until security pulls both teams apart.
North American Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase is out for an interview. Next week is his big title match against Ravishing Rick Rude. Rude has been talking a big game since he showed up in Mid-South. We'll see how he actually performs in the ring.
Bill Apter has Magnum TA for a sit down interview. TA says he got involved last week because he respects Jim Duggan and how he's been fighting the good fight. He'll continue to have his back. TA also mentions that he's out to win the North American Championship and he wants more matches to make that happen.

Mid-South Power Pro Wrestling #9: 08/11/1979
taped from Shreveport, LA
Eddie Gilbert, Greg Valentine and One Man Gang d. George South, Johnny Rodz and Mister X w/ the 747 Splash S.D. Jones d. Randy Barber w/ the Headbutt Gene Ligon d. Bob Orton Jr. by DQ*1

Angle Developments:
The Iron Sheik comes out ranting and raving about Jim Duggan attacking him on last week's show. He tells Duggan to stay out of his business. This is his first and final warning. If Duggan messes with him again there will be serious consequences.
Jim Cornette and Mid-South Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express are out for an interview. Captain Lou and the Valiants are a bunch of fools if they think that Beautiful Bobby and Loverboy Dennis are going to wilt to some thug tactics in the ring. They invented thug tactics in the ring. If the Valiants think this is a shoe-in then they're going to be in for a big disappointment.
The House of Humperdink is out. Eddie Gilbert introduces himself as the next Mid-South Television Champion. He sees the level of talent in the ring tonight and it's lacking. He can easily defeat Bob Roop or Bill Dundee for that belt. The One Man Gang takes the mic. He warns Ted Dibiase to beware. He's coming for the North American Championship and there's nothing that Dibiase can do to stop him.

Main Event: Dick Hutton d. Maurice Tillet by DQ*1

Angle Developments:
North American Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase is out. He found Rude and regained the belt at a house show in Mississippi during the week. Rude talks a big game but he failed when it was time to back it up in the ring. He's sure that Rude will be back and looking to take the belt. But Rude needs to earn it. Rude needs to work on his W-L Record. Dibiase plans to move on to new challengers like the One Man Gang.
Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff have dragged Hacksaw Jim Duggan down to the ring. Volkoff holds Duggan while Koloff puts the boots to him. Koloff grabs the time keepers bell and just as he's about to smack Duggan, Dr. Death Steve Williams runs in for the save.
Mid-South Television Champion Bill Dundee is out for an interview. He tells Eddie Gilbert to bring it. He's not afraid of Gilbert or anyone for that matter. He just went through a bunch of guys to win this belt. And he plans to prove that he's the man by taking on any and all challengers for this belt.
Captain Lou Albano and the Valiants are out. Next week is their big match with the Midnight Express. He wants all the fans to tune in next week so they can see the Valiants crowned as the new champions.

There's three belts currently:
North American Heavyweight Championship - highest level belt Mid-South Tag Team Championship Mid-South Television Championship - secondary belt
It's not a member of the AWA or NWA. It's just a regional based promotion that operates out of Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi. And a little bit of Texas.
