taped from Shreveport, LA
The Mongols d. Tony Charles and King Cobra w/ the Mongolian Drop Magnum TA d. Randy Barber w/ the Belly to Belly Suplex Eddie Gilbert d. Paul Garner w/ the Hot Shot Bob Orton Jr. d. S.D. Jones w/ an atomic kneedrop
Main Event: Mid-South Tag Team Title Match: the Valiants d. Midnight Express (c) by DQ*1
Notes:
*1 - Both teams continue to brawl through the closing credits until the show fades to black.
Angle Developments:
One Man Gang and Sir Oliver Humperdink are out for an interview. OMG says he's the baddest man in Mid-South and that Ted Dibiase isn't going to get one over on him. The North American Championship is going to be as good as his when they climb into the ring together. He asks how Dibiase could possibly beat him in a one on one match.
Eddie Gilbert stops by the announce table after his match. He says that Bill Dundee is all talk and in his mind, Dundee is a paper champion. Gilbert continues to run down Dundee until Dundee walks out and confronts him. Dundee takes the mic and says that they can square off next week if Gilbert would like. Gilbert says that would be just great. Dundee turns to leave when Gilbert blasts him with a sucker punch. Gilbert punishes Dundee with some big punches. Gilbert rolls Dundee into the ring and catches him with a knee drop. Gilbert goes for an irish whip but Dundee reverses and catches Gilbert with a back body drop. Dundee dropkicks Gilbert out of the ring. Gilbert tries to climb back into the ring but Dundee hits him with a dropkick.
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are backstage. Williams wants the Russians to know that they've made his list. He's not going to stand by while they continue to cause trouble in Mid-South Wrestling. Duggan and him... they're a team and they also went out and recruited someone else to their cause. North American Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase walks on screen. Dibiase says that he's got their backs and together, they're going to rid Mid-South of the cancer that has been eroding it.
Dick Hutton comes out for an interview. He says that he has unfinished business with Maurice Tillet.

Mid-South Power Pro Wrestling #12: 09/01/1979
taped from Shreveport, LA
Koko B. Ware d. Gene Ligon w/ a cross body block Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff d. Mike Jackson and Doug Vines w/ the Backbreaker Drop Boris Zhukov d. Mister X w/ the Diving Head Butt Iron Sheik d. Brad Armstrong w/ a kick with loaded boot*1
Main Event: Mid-South Television Title Match: Bill Dundee (c) d. Eddie Gilbert by DQ*2
Notes:
*1 - The Iron Sheik rolls Brad Armstrong out onto the cement floor. He goes for a piledriver but stops when Bob Armstrong comes out. They stare each other down for a few moments when Bob attacks. They brawl wildly around the ring and into the crowd. They end up in the concession stand and trash it before security pulls them apart.
*2 - Gilbert throws a Fireball into the face of Dundee as the show fades to black.
Angle Developments:
After his match, Koko B. Ware stops at the announce table. Ross and Watts congratulate him on his win. Ware says that he's been on a roll since coming to Mid-South. He's piling up the wins and he's starting to eye the belts that Ted Dibiase and Bill Dundee have been carrying around. You never know, one of those belts might be around his waist sooner rather than later.
Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov stop by the announce table. Koloff isn't afraid of the alliance that Duggan/Dibiase/Williams have formed. In fact, he dares them to do something about their influence in Mid-South. In fact, they should face them in a six-man tag team match on next week's show.
Evan Lewis comes out. He mentions that he earned the nickname "Strangler" by using his patented Stranglehold to finish off his opponents in the ring. The move is unbreakable. In fact, he has $1500 that says that no one can break his Stranglehold. If anyone wants to come out and try they are more than welcome to.
Sir. Oliver Humperdink and One Man Gang are out for an interview. OMG hopes that Dibiase isn't letting himself be distracted by the Russians. He would be just heartbroken if Dibiase wasn't completely ready for their title match coming up in a couple of weeks.
George South is out. He tells Jim Ross that he wants to take Evan Lewis up on his Stranglehold Challenge tonight. He wouldn't mind walking away with $1500 in his pocket. Evan Lewis appears shortly afterwards and tells South to get in the ring if he wants to try his luck. They climb into the ring and set up. Lewis applies the Stranglehold and South tries to fight his way out. It's no use and South is quickly put out by the move. Lewis climbs to his feet and takes the timekeeper's mic. He says that this is exactly what everyone in Mid-South can expect if they sign a match with him. He expects to be undefeated for a long time to come.
Maurice Tillet is out for an interview. He laughs about what he did to Dick Hutton a few weeks ago. He can't help that Hutton took it personally. Hutton is in over his head now.

Mid-South Power Pro Wrestling #13: 09/08/1979
taped from Shreveport, LA
the Armstrongs d. Johnny Rodz and Virgil w/ the Sleeper Maurice Tillet d. Randy Barber w/ the Bear Hug*1 Pepper Gomez d. Doug Vines w/ the Mexican Cradle the Valiants d. Vernon Deaton and Paul Garner w/ the Super Elbow Dewey Robertson d. Bob Orton Jr. w/ the Figure Four Leglock
Main Event: "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Ted Dibiase d. Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov w/ a football tackle*2
Notes:
*1 - Dick Hutton comes out and has a staredown with Maurice Tillet. Security is quick to get in between them.
*2 - Both teams brawl throughout the arena. The Iron Sheik comes out to try and turn the tide in favor of the Russians but Bob Armstrong runs out and attacks him. It's a huge eight man brawl as the credits roll and the show fades to black.
Angle Developments:
Bob Armstrong comes by the announce table. He tells the Iron Sheik that if he ever tries to injure his son again that he'll beat him until he's a vegetable. He's going to be talking to Bill Watts after this and he's going to get the Iron Sheik in a match and then it'll be payback time.
Evan Lewis is out for an interview. They replay Lewis choking out George South on last week's show. Lewis tells Jim Ross that he doesn't want this to be about one ups manship or about disrespecting his opponents. This is about confidence. Namely that he is so confident in his ability to lock in the Stranglehold that he's willing to put his own money out there for anyone that thinks they can prove him wrong. That's what his challenge is all about.
North American Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase is out for an interview. He doesn't want the One Man Gang to feel like he's being ignored. He's had his full attention on their match that's coming up next week. The Russians haven't distracted him at all. Next week, he's going to show the One Man Gang why he's the man in Mid-South Wrestling.
Captain Lou Albano and the Valiants stop by the announce table. Albano says they haven't forgotten how title matches work in Mid-South. They won their match by DQ and that means they get an automatic rematch for the belts. He plans to get that rematch signed as soon as possible.
Bill Watts is out and he's not happy about Eddie Gilbert's actions on last week's show. There's no place for actions like that in his wrestling company and frankly, there's no place for men that would perform such actions. Effective immediately he is suspending Eddie Gilbert indefinitely from all Mid-South Wrestling Association events.

I forgot a segment on the last show, Bill Watts suspended Eddie Gilbert indefinitely for his attack on Bill Dundee the week before.
Also, I'm expanding the shows to six matches. I just want to showcase more of the roster on a regular basis.
