The CWA is proud to announce the that during the Calgary Stampede week (July 6th-15th) Stampede Wrestling will be hosting the first annual Canadian Wrestling Cup. The four man round robin tournament will feature one wrestler from each of the three CWA territories with Stampede Wrestling, as the host getting a second entry in the tournament. The tournament will feature randomly drawn wrestlers, who do not hold titles within there territory. The winner of the tournament will be named the first annual Canadian Wrestling Cup Champion and be able to challenge any champion in any territory.

THE OWA PRESENTS: AFTERMATH LIVE FROM THE POWERADE CENTRE IN BRAMPTON ONTARIO JANUARY 17th, 2012
Xandra Bale defeated “The Sass Queen” Seleziya Sparx via submission after locking Seleziya in the Bale Out at the 4:32 mark of the match. The early part of the match was back and forth, until Seleziya tossed Bale into the corner only to be met with a pair of boots to the face.
Big Daddy Hammer defeated Johnny Wave via pinfall after connecting with the Hammer Bomb at the 7:43 mark of the match. Wave dominated most of the match, only to have BDH prove to be too powerful for Wave in this contest.
“Bigg Dawg” Geza Kalman Jr defeated Ophidian via pinfall after connecting with a second KO Punch at the 5:23 mark of the match. The fast paced contest saw Ophidian lock Geza in the Death Grip for the better part of a minute.
Lou Thesz defeated Austin Aries via pinfall after connecting with back to back Greco-Roman Backdrops at the 1:01 mark of the match. Aries tried to start off strong, but Thesz blocked the attempt and nearly knocked Aries out with a pair of dropkicks.
Daizee Haze defeated MsChif via pinfall after connecting with the Mind Trip at the 3:32 mark of the match. Haze made several pin attempts throughout the match that she completely dominated from the opening bell.
Masked Superstar II defeated “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce via pinfall at the 0:32 mark of the match after nailing Pearce with a Backbreaker. Pearce started strong nailing MSII with a Big Right Hand, that sent the big man out to the floor where Pearce was introduced to the announce table at ring side, only to be tossed in the ring for the finish.
Nick Bockwinkel defeated “Enforcer” Bill Stubbington via submission after locking Stubbington in a second Figure Four Leglock at the 9:03 mark of the match, that saw both men brawl all over the ringside area.
Sabu defeated “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair via pinfall after connecting with a vicious Triple Jump Moonsault at the 14:03 mark. At one point Sabu had Sinclair locked in the Camel Clutch for nearly two minutes, but the Pure Original refused to submit. Every time Sinclair managed to get on the offense he attempted to Spear Sabu, only to have him dodge both attempts.
Nora Greenwald defeated Sara Del Ray after connecting with a second Flipping Seated Senton of the match at the 9:22 mark of the match. Both women pulled out all the stops to garner victory in this match. Del Ray tried several times to make Nora tap out using the Labell Lock, but Nora proved to resilient
Sexton Hardcastle defeated Jerry Lynn via pinfall after connecting with the Adamatic at the 15:43 mark of the match. For most of the match Lynn was matching Sexton move for move, but in the end the Rated R Superstar proved to be too crafty for Lynn.
MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan defeated Eddie Kingston via pinfall after connecting with the Atomic Leg Drop at the 30:53 mark of a great back and forth match between the two men. For the most part Kingston held his own against the more powerful Hogan.

Disappointing to see Wave and Sparx drop the opening matches. I have enjoyed seeing them live.

The QMWA wanted to be first out of the gate for the month of February, so they have announced that both of their February shows will take place early in the month and will feature the third and fourth rounds of the QMWA Championship. The first show will take place Wednesday February 1st live from the Center 200 in Sydney Nova Scotia, and the second show will take place Friday February 3rd live from the Charlottetown Civic Centre in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island. Tickets are now on sale through both venues box offices.

Following OWA: Aftermath, the OWA is proud to announce the following matches have been announce for the third round of the OWA Championship tournament. The third round will highlight the third OWA card which is scheduled to take place live Tuesday February 14th, 2012 at the K-Rock Center in Kingston Ontario.
Big Daddy Hammer v Sabu
Geza Kalman Jr v Lou Thesz
Sexton Hardcastle v Masked Superstar II
Nick Bockwinkel v Hulk Hogan
Also added to help round out the card is the beginning of the OWA Tag Team Tournament, which will feature eight teams in a single elimination tournament. The following opening round matches have been announced:
The Colony (Fire & Green Ant) v Pinkie Sanchez & Delirious
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) v Screaming Egos (Paul Wright & Mr Atlantis)
Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey) v H2K (Bill Stubbington & Chris Sinclair)
Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) v Masked Superstars (I & II)

The CWA is proud to announce that once all the results are in, the CWA will present the first monthly top ten. The Top Ten will feature wrestlers from all over the three territories, and each division will have their own top ten. The top ten may feature champions each month, as well as have a hand in selecting the the men who will compete for the first annual Canadian Wrestling Cup.

STAMPEDE WRESTLING BREAKING NEWS:
Due to weather and travel issues, the following two men will be unable to make the January 20th show in Calgary Alberta.
"Overnight Male" Andrew Radke & Magnum T.A.
Stampede Wrestling is still awaiting word on if the two men will be able to arrive in Alberta in time for the January 21st show in Edmonton Alberta.

STAMPEDE WRESTLING PRESENTS: RESURRECTION NIGHT 1 LIVE FROM THE SADDLEDOME IN CALGARY ALBERTA JANUARY 20th, 2012
British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) defeated “EZE” Eric Cairnie & Diamond Dallas Page via pinfall when Dynamite Kid nailed DDP with a hooking clothesline at the 9:42 mark of the match. The British Bulldogs dominated most of the match and kept DDP in the ring for the majority of the bout.
Dream Team (Greg Valentine & Brutus Beefcake) defeated the Blob Squad (Father & Masked Hideous Blobs) via count out at the 1:00 mark of the match as Sir Oliver Humperdink made his way to ringside with a large pizza box and he lured both Blobs away from the ring.
Doring & Roadkill (Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill) defeated the Fabulous Kangaroos (Roy Heffernan & Al Costello) via disqualification at the 6:42 mark of the match when Al Costello was disqualified for ramming Amish Roadkill’s head into the steel barricade surrounding the ringside area. Just moments before Costello avoided huge disaster when he shoved Roadkill from the top rope and onto the floor. Costello then followed him out and got disqualified for his actions. Until the finish both teams had exchanged momentum back and forth.
Lak Siddartha & Eddie Osbourne defeated the Al & Val Connection (Al Snow & Val Venis) via count out after Eddie Osbourne nailed Val Venis with the Final Impact on the arena floor at the 15:42 mark of the match. Despite a valiant effort by the veterans the young team of Osbourne & Siddartha dominated the majority of the match. Before the match began Al Snow grabbed the house mic and officially announced his and Venis’ team name, much to the chagrin of Val Venis
Ida Mae Martinez defeated April Hunter & Jazz via pinfall at the 11:42 mark of the match when she came off the top rope and nailed April Hunter with a cross body block and Jazz failed to break it up. All three woman held nothing back in this match, as there were numerous pin and submission attempts made throughout the match.
Drake Younger & Brent Albright defeated The Sheik & Ivan Koloff via disqualification when The Sheik got frustrated and brutally attacked Drake Younger on the outside of the ring with Ivan Koloff’s chain at the 5:42 mark of the match.
Before the next contest the Stampede Ring Announcer made the formal announcement that due to weather and travel issues the team of “Overnight Male” Andrew Radke & Magnum T.A. were unable to arrive in Calgary in time to compete in the upcoming match. He then announced that Stampede Wrestling management had found a worthy team to take their place. He then introduced the team of Tommy Overdrive & “The Natural” Jack Campbell, collectively known as Natural Overdrive.
Scott Steiner & Curt Hennig defeated Natural Overdrive (Tommy Overdrive & Jack Campbell) in record time when they brutally assaulted both men before the bell. As the bell rang Steiner locked Campbell in the Steiner Recliner and the young man had no choice but to tap out at the 0:10 mark of the match
The Bolsheviks (Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov) defeated the Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart) via pinfall at the 25:42 mark of the match when Nikolai Volkoff nailed Bret Hart with a fourth Backbreaker Drop of the match. The Hart Foundation nearly won several times in the opening minutes, when they managed to cut Boris Zhukov off from tagging in Nikolai. Once Nikolai was in the ring he dominated the next several minutes as he tossed both members of the Hart Foundation around the ring.
MAIN EVENT The Sheepherders (Luke Williams & Butch Miller) defeated the Miracle Violence Connection (Steve Williams & Terry Gordy) via pinfall when the Sheepherders nailed Steve Williams with the Double Gutbuster at the 6:42 mark of the match. The Sheepherders completely dominated Steve Williams for the entire duration of the match as they made several quick covers that constantly forced Terry Gordy to make the save. Officially Terry Gordy was never once in the match.
