Today is a landmark day in the history of professional wrestling.
Today is the day that Hulk Hogan walked through the hallways of Madison Square Garden, out to the ring and proceeded to carve out a legacy that will never be matched again, and in the process of defeating The Iron Shiek for his 1st WWF World Title Reign.
Hogan might be a total POS now, but back then he was the man and at least for one day, we should all bow down and thank him. For without Hulk Hogan and this history making day, wrestling could very well be long extinct.

yeah, the good ol' days. I remember watching this match long ago. Not a bad one at that. That's when his ego wasn't getting in the way!

I'll say it before and I'll say it again;
Hulk Hogan turned me on to wrestling. Wrestling turned me off of Hulk Hogan.

Hogan/Bundy is one of my all-time favourite early wrestling memory moments...and Hogan will always have my respect for his role in bringing wrestling into my life and the lives of all those little Hulkamaniacs. He was never my favourite, but he was 'The Man' for most of my childhood and formative years, and I can't count the times I would 'Hulk Up' during a play fight with a friend, or just in my room by myself after watching a match.
I try not to look too hard at what's been exposed the past few years.
